MTGS's Got Talent! is an open-ended talent contest where the only boundaries are the ones you choose to follow (and the forum rules!) Each clan can submit anything they like - anything they like - for judgment by their peers, who will then deliberate and rate your entries based on three loosely defined metrics:
Fun: Is it fun? Funny or thrilling? Do you want to see or experience it again? If it makes your heart race, it's probably high in fun! New: Is it new? Is it an original piece or an original idea? If you haven't seen it before, it's probably high in new! Wow: Is it wow? Unexpected pieces score high in wow, and if you have to pick your jaw up off the floor, that's probably what it's got!
What you choose to enter is up to you! Now is the time to brush off the interpretive dance magnum opus you've been hiding from your family, but if you'd like to write, draw, paint, compose, bake, construct, brew, or summon, feel free to do so! Any theme. Any means. The sky's the limit, so go wild!

[The Crafters]
Hi there!
I’m Ruby Leech, your host for the interdimensionally famous podcast:
Lifestyles of the Creative & Insane

Either one is about 17mb so allow lots of time for it to download and then sit back with a cup of tea, close your eyes, and enjoy the nearly 20 minute long podcast!
From the mist-shrouded moors of Innistrad, to the austere halls of Immerstrum, to the bustling cityscape of Ravnica, destiny picks and chooses its heroes; individuals of frightening power or dazzling intellect destined for a higher calling. Destined to battle. To conquer. To rule. Call upon these powerful figures of destiny with Commander's Legion, a collection of fifteen new, never before printed legendary creatures made specifically for the Commander format.
Rhyesse, Smoke Seer3WW
Legendary Creature — Kor Cleric (M)
Lifelink
At the beginning of each end step, you may put a white Elemental creature token onto the battlefield with power and toughness each equal to the amount of life you’ve gained this turn.
2/4
As a child, Rhyesse was abandoned by her nomadic tribesmen, for they believed a girl born blind was surely unable to survive on the perilous plateaus of Zendikar. With heavy hearts, her people left her and moved on. Three nights later, the young Rhyesse stumbled into her tribesmen's new encampment, scratched and starving, but alive. She spoke of kind beings who guided her through the treacherous canyon passes. Her tribe immediately recognized these beings as their guardian ancestors. From this day, Rhyesse was fast tracked into priesthood, her gift of second sight growing by the day. Now, in her thirties, she possesses the power to summon them into being in times of intense worship, and with the awakening of the Eldrazi, her power is needed more than ever.
Ludevic, Necro-Alchemist2UU
Legendary Creature — Human Wizard (M) XU,T: Target player puts the top X cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard. You may put a creature card with converted mana cost X or less from among them onto the battlefield tapped under your control. That creature is a black Zombie in addition to its other colors and types.
2/2
Terror. Madman. Sadist. All of these are words used by the populace of Nephalia to describe Ludevic. But regardless of the other choice names used, there is another that none can refute: genius. A visionary on the forefront of Innistradi ghoulstitching, Ludevic knows that in order to forge a new bond between magic and science, great risks must be taken. Primarily known for the abominations he lets loose on the countryside and his unwavering devotion to his craft, few know his true goal - that he dabbles not in death, but in life. Angels, demons and vampires may be immortal, but they all have their flaws. It is his goal to make the perfect creature, not the perfect beast. Today, they call Ludevic a monster, but tomorrow, maybe a hero. A hero for life itself. Life everlasting.
Luella, the Blooming Nightmare4B
Legendary Creature — Fairie Wizard (M)
Flying
Whenever an opponent discards a creature card, you may pay 2B. If you do, return that card to the battlefield under your control.
2/3
Luella was once one of Oona's most successful and most trusted dream thieves, her knack for stealth unparalleled by her kind. Once Oona was defeated by the machinations of Maralen, Luella's severance from her queen hit hard. Defying the rule of the new "false queen", she roams Lorwyn turning the sweetest dreams to darkest nightmare and forcibly tearing them from her victims mind. With no need for stealth, no secret rule to guard, she relishes the agony of her victims, each rotting dream she harvests adding to her nightmarish army. She hopes to eventually gather enough force to topple the false queen's rein and cast Lorwyn back into the shadows.
Tajin, Keeper of the Peak5R
Legendary Creature — Ogre Shaman (M)
Skip your draw step.
At the beginning of your upkeep, exile the top two cards of your library. You may play those cards card this turn.
At the beginning of your end step, if you cast two or more cards from exile this turn, Tajin, Keeper of the Peak deals 6 damage to each opponent.
6/4
A reclusive pyromancer and seer, Tajin resides at the very crest of Mount Keralia, where he scrys visions from its noxious smoke. He is renowned for his elaborate stone paintings, which are said to predict the future. Few have seen them in the flesh, and those who have usually have their bones scattered back down the treacherous mountain path from which they came. Survivors tell wild stories of vivid cave paintings depicting the ultimate destruction of the world in a blast of purging fire, but these ravings are dismissed as a product of lunacy. Tajin, though, remains content with his ominous subject matter, and eagerly awaits the day when his prophecies come to pass.
Warcaller Braulios4GG
Legendary Creature — Centaur Warrior (M)
Trample
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may draw a card if you control the creature with the greatest power or tied for the greatest power. If you do, put a +1/+1 counter on Warcaller Braulios.
6/5
Braulios made a name for himself valiantly leading the resistance against the attempted extermination of his people led by the oppressive Urakh Dynasty. The resistance was originally weak, as the disparate centaur tribes were divided and conquered, but Braulios realized that they would be stronger united. He became the de facto leader of this united coalition and dealt devastating blows to the Urakh Dynasty's operations. He and his forces were eventually overpowered, however, and now he leads the new tribe from exile deep in the forests. He continues to strategize for a new offensive against the Urakh Dynasty, and has been training his warriors for years in anticipation of the right time to strike.
Agnomakhos, the Archon Tyrant5WU
Legendary Creature — Archon (M)
Flying
At the beginning of each opponent’s declare attackers step, separate all creatures that player controls into two piles and choose another player. Each creature in the pile of that player’s choice attacks the chosen player this turn if able.
5/5
Ousted from power by Ephara's faithful and forced to flee as his empire crumbled, the fearsome tyrant Agnomakhos tirelessly scours unknown shores for new followers to solidify power once more. It is said that his ancient commands are able to ensnare the hearts of mortals and bend them against the god's will. He plots in the far places, stirring conflict among the poleis in an attempt to weaken the god's hold over Theros so he can once again lord over the mortal realms. Despite the daily prayers against him, and the united front of divinities standing in his way, a new ally threatens to push the balance of power drastically in his favor.
Novis, Secret BrokerUB
Legendary Creature — Vedalken Rogue (M)
Your opponents play with their hands revealed.
At the beginning of each player’s upkeep, name a card other than a basic land card.
Whenever an opponent plays a card that shares a name with the last named card, you may draw three cards.
2/2
Once a faithful agent of the Infinite Consortium, its fall from power left Savia with a wealth of information on every major player in Ravnica. With a shrewd eye for detail and a sharp mind for business, she coerces and blackmails the rich and powerful to her advantage, all the while lurking unseen in the shadows. Both the Azorious Senate and the Orzhov Syndicate have placed considerable bounties on her head, proving just how deep her influence runs. It is said that even the great House Dimir fears her knowledge, although why that is she will not say. After all, there is no value in an open secret.
Savia of Demon’s Gate3BR
Legendary Creature — Human Warrior (M)
Whenever you cast a spell targeting an opponent, Savia of Demon’s Gate deals 4 damage to that player.
Whenever you cast a spell targeting a creature an opponent controls, Savia deals 4 damage to that creature.
4/3
Most on Grixis pay tribute to the shard's power-hungry demon lords for self-preservation, but the reckless warrior Savia sees no worth in longevity. Originally from Jund, her and her clan incurred into Grixis while tracking an injured dragon. No sooner than she had stepped foot onto the withered world had the demon lords taken notice of their bountiful life energy. One such demon was Viathas, who slaughtered her clan mercilessly, but whose gleaming skull Savia now wears proudly. Her tenacity and lust for glory soon made her a willing pawn in the demon lord's war games. She is now employed by king and conqueror alike to hunt down and destroy their enemies, each kill adding another skull to her collection. To Savia, there is no greater hunt.
Dakura, Terramancer1RG
Legendary Creature — Human Shaman (M)
At the beginning of combat on your turn, you may have any number of lands you control become 1/1 creatures until end of turn. 1RG,T: Put a +1/+1 counter on each land creature you control.
3/2
Dakura was a young boy on Zendikar when he first realized his potential for power. Due to the unusual attributes of the land and mana on the plane, Dakura realized that the land was not just a vector for life and mana, but contained the essence of life itself. Able to tap into this essence and call forth armies from the earth, Dakura quickly rose to power in the Murasa region. While he tends to turn a blind eye to most adventurers in his region, he has been known to take interest in particularly unusual or treacherous ventures, either helping them with his innate gifts or quashing the hopes of treasure hunters whose ambition outstrips their reach.
Andura of the Weld3GW
Legendary Creature — Rhino Cleric (M)
Vigilance
Andura of the Weld has all activated abilities of all other enchanted creatures.
You may spend any color of mana to pay the activation costs of Andura’s abilities.
4/5
Andura hails from the frigid plane of Immerstrum. While the surface of this plane is encased in ice, noble families such as Andura's have long taken refuge in the more temperate climates high above the land. While these families have long been able to don and shed the energies of enchantments as easily as a person changes clothes, Andura learned at a young age that she was able to tap into these energies on a level not previously discovered. Her power led to her induction into the mage-warrior clan, where she quickly rose through the ranks in the nobles' eternal struggle against the "lesser" barbarians that attempt to control the surface. Drawing power from the auras of friend and foe alike, Andura is able to quickly turn the tide of battle against enemy shamans and wizards by using their own power against them.
Mateusz, Council's Shadow3WB
Legendary Creature — Spirit (M)
If a non-Spirit creature you control would die, exile it instead.
You may play cards exiled with Mateusz, Council's Shadow. A creature card played this way is a black Spirit in addition to its other colors and types.
3/4
Mateusz was once one of the Obzedat - the powerful Ghost Council that rules the Orzhov from beyond the grave. However, even more so than most of his brethren, death amplified his greed to the point that the rest of the Council worried for their collective safety. Unhappy with just a share of the guild's power, he wanted it all. As a protective measure, the Obzedat performed a terrible spell, creating the limbo now known as Agyrem just to house his dark soul. However, as an unforeseen side-effect of this spell, Agyrem became a beacon for the souls of the deceased. All souls not bound to the Orzhov upon death are drawn to Agyrem, and as Agyrem grows, so too does the ancient ghost's army.
Cicce, Spell Sniper2UR
Legendary Creature — Merfolk Wizard (M) UR,T: Choose target creature. You may reveal an instant or sorcery card from your hand that could target the creature. If you do, you may cast that card without paying its mana cost targeting that creature.
2/2
Cicce hails from the submerged plane of Iquatana. While the Iquati were the dominant species on the plane, others were able to develop under their wing. Cicce was born with the unusual ability among her people to generate magic using less energy than her brethren. Hailed as the chosen child - part Merfolk, part Iquati - Cicce has risen to power within the Merfolk contingent of Iquatana. Using her unique talents both in battle and out to further her people's standing in the seas, there is little doubt that she may one day come to rule the plane - Iquati be damned.
Kas-Giovan, Rot Priest2BG
Legendary Creature — Elf Shaman (M)
When Kas-Giovan, Rotpriest enters the battlefield, put the top X card from your library into your graveyard, where X is the amount of mana spent to cast Giovan.
Whenever a land card is put into a graveyard from anywhere, you may put a 1/1 green Insect creature token onto the battlefield.
3/3
Even amongst his Golgari brethren, Kas-Giovan is unusual in his pursuit of "recycling". Due to his strong ties with nature, he is able to pull life from the soil itself, regardless of how little of it there is left. His inspiration for life stems from the insect - an unusually sturdy creature for its size, an insect is able to carry much more of its weight than lesser "fleshy beings". While the Simic feel his true calling has been missed, due to potentially being able to use his powers to further their studies into insectoid augmentation, Kas-Giovan's devotion to the Golgari cause is unwavering. Life from death, power from decay.
The Iron Monk2RW
Legendary Creature — Giant Monk (M)
Whenever a creature you control is dealt damage, if that creature doesn't have a training counter on it, put a training counter on that creature. It gains indestructible. R,T: The Iron Monk deals 1 damage to another target creature.
4/4
Kiel Stoutarm was not his tribe's chosen. Always living in the shadow of his brother Brion, he never truly came to realize his own potential. Despite this, Kiel had always looked up to his older brother, joining him in battle with unwavering faith. When Brion fell in a battle against the Gilt-leaf elves, Kiel was shattered. However, now unable to rely on his brother, he came into his own. Renouncing his name to preserve his brother's legacy, he focused himself on building a legend of his own. Pain is strength, and through this, he would train his own warriors to mete justice on the cruel elves who had taken his brother from him.
Porph, Mimeoplastician4GU
Legendary Creature — Elf Wizard (M)
You may have nontoken permanents you control enter the battlefield as a copy of any permanent on the battlefield.
1/1
When Porph was a young child, he had a harrowing encounter with The Mimeoplasm. It had wandered into his village and began destroying house after house seeking sustenance. After beholding the power The Mimeoplasm held, Porph vowed to devote himself to learning the source of its majesty. Now an old sage, Porph is able to tap into the primal forces that govern how life itself develps, shaping them to his will.
Friendly reminder: Judgment is due within a few yours. I won't be spending Christmas on this, so if we don't have anything by tonight, results will have to wait until Boxing Day (which I guess is Christmas for most of you?).
Anyway, I have actual scores and the free time to crunch them, so here are the results:
[The Crafters] with a total score of 38
[Clan Flamingo] with a total score of 31.5
The [Spirit of EDH] with a total score of 30.5
[REDACTED] with a total score of 27.75
Thank to everybody for participating!
Notes: Due to The [Spirit of EDH] submitting ranked rather than numerical scores, their first place is treated as 5, second is treated as 4, and third is treated as 3 for the purposes of these standings. This does not affect the results - [The Crafters] still win by a landslide!
This is our break down:
Crafters Fun: 3 New: 3 Wow: 4 Total: 10
Spirit of EDH Fun: 4 New: 3 Wow: 4 Total: 11
Clan Flamingo Fun: 4 New: 3 Wow: 2 Total: 9
@Bur, can we get some actual scores? I know it doesn't matter, but my fellow clansmen and myself would like to see how you guys scored on an official level.
Anyways, like it was said, our points were sent as ranks (since every person who participated in judging had different scale... -,-) instead of points...
Fun:
#1 Clan Flamingo
#2 The Crafters
#3 Redacted
New:

@Bur, thank you. But what my clan actually wants to see is the points scored as they were instructed to be scored. Sorry:/
I don't think I recall seeing this (besides the categories "fun", "wow" and "new"), and judging by the replies I got from my clan members, I don't think any of them either had seen those. (I got judgings with many, many different scales).

The Iron Monk 2RW

Porph, Mimeoplastician 4GU
Legendary Creature — Elf Wizard (M)
You may have nontoken permanents you control enter the battlefield as a copy of any permanent on the battlefield.
1/1
When Porph was a young child, he had a harrowing encounter with The Mimeoplasm. It had wandered into his village and began destroying house after house seeking sustenance. After beholding the power The Mimeoplasm held, Porph vowed to devote himself to learning the source of its majesty. Now an old sage, Porph is able to tap into the primal forces that govern how life itself develps, shaping them to his will.

Judgment will close at 9AM GMT on Tuesday the 24th of December.
Recieved
Anyway, I have actual scores and the free time to crunch them, so here are the results:
Thank to everybody for participating!
Notes: Due to The [Spirit of EDH] submitting ranked rather than numerical scores, their first place is treated as 5, second is treated as 4, and third is treated as 3 for the purposes of these standings. This does not affect the results - [The Crafters] still win by a landslide!
This is crushing. I spent like close to thirty hours making this with nate.
Congrats crafters.

I don't think I recall seeing this (besides the categories "fun", "wow" and "new"), and judging by the replies I got from my clan members, I don't think any of them either had seen those. (I got judgings with many, many different scales).
