It's OK. I destroyed a 5-player game with Nivvy 1.0 on T6 once. Everyone was really mad at me for being "that guy." I'm not gonna say I didn't mean to win, so when you have Long-term Plans, Thousand-Year Elixir, and enough mana in your opening hand, you just have to go for it. Removal is a thing, right? Right? >_>
... well... Few people have gotten angry at me for running instant-speed spot removal. Apparently, it is really stupid and unfun, when their creatures don't stick too long... (This happened at my university, too).
From what you've told me, the chaps at your university are 1) terrible at magic, and 2) too stupid to learn.
If I was stuck in a group like that, I'd just build a trolly deck. Perhaps it's the only way I'd actually play Group Hug... Play kingmaker and then backstab everyone at the last maybe I'm just vindictive, though...
When ~ deals combat damage to a player, exile any number of target nonland permanents you control, then return those cards to the battlefield under their owner's control.
OH SWEET MOTHER OF GOD TELL ME THIS IS A NEW UNGLUED/UNHINGED SET!
Also I'm running Dictate of the Twin Gods and fire servant in a Gisella edh. Is this too unfriendly?
On the conspiracy set: Nah its more of a commander sort of set. It is supposed to be a set for all multiplayer formats but there should be quite a few interesting EDH cards in there. The draft robot seems a bit out of place but curious to see the rest.
As for your Gisela deck, I don't believe either of those cards can be really considered too unfriendly, unless your play group are particularly um... sensitive? Both of those cards work very well with Gisela, she is kind of made for big damage.
Currently planning an Athreos deck, still in early planning stages... so many options!
EDIT: Oh btw I was on vacation last week, hence my lack of posting.
Updated my signature with my current decks, as you can see I am down a couple decks.. and still haven't built Chainer, which is why he's faded. I was down to just running Niv, Queen and Lazav... but built on a budget (or rather, out of my own stock rather than seek/buy specifics) Roon and Shizo. Shizo is 33 Shadowborn Apostle + 10 demons... it really is kind of budgeted, other than the extra Demonic Tutor I had laying around. It would really benefit from a Grave Pact. Roon, I have tried blink in the past with meh effect.. however I'm enjoying him so far, but feel like I have to track down a Terastodon for him.
If I weren't low on funds I'd try pimping out Roon, but the next major goal at the moment is acquiring a Crucible of Worlds for Lazav and then Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed for work on Chainer.
So, how has JOU turned out to be for you? I went and bought couple of boosters today to celebrate the release of JOU and managed to pull couple of Dictates and, out of all gods, Pharika. >_>
I realised that in a 1½ weeks my summer job begins! (Summer job = Money = More cardboard crack for me). I already have quite a few things that I need to buy for my decks (EDH, Legacy & Modern)...

Honestly other than pre-release I haven't had much time to worry about JOU, which is sad considering I now technically work for my LGS and get a awesome deal on packs/boxes/supplies.. I've mostly been using the advantage for old stuffs. I'm poor right now, so.. other than probably doing a draft next week, I'm slowing down on Magic purchases in general. However 75$ for a booster box is very tempting, I think I'll end up grabbing or preordering Conspiracy which is more geared toward our style of play for what we have seen.
There's very little I want from the set, and because I wasn't able to do any (pre-)releases, I never really got into the block. I also really despise how lame they've made enchantments, my favourite card type. The PWs have been decent, though. I'm just gonna buy singles in a few months, when Kiora, new Ajani, and Elspeth (hopefully!) go down in price. They're perfect for the Derevi PW control deck!
Speaking of which, I bought sleeves (regular and pro-fit [by accident they're incredibly cheap btw]), so I started sleeving up Derevi. I can now say that I am officially just over halfway to finishing the deck! I just need a mix of cheap-o and very expensive cards to finish it up. Right now, the thing I'm mot excited to get is Noble Hierarch in Japanese, but I know it's going to set me back... a lot. :/ Stupid Green cards...
So I wanted to make something out there and fun... I made Grix mana ramp; into search and Epic Experiment, into multi casting crazy fun (yes it has a Hivemind) three questions. One, is it evil to multicast blastphemous act 4 times with a hivemind and stuffy doll down, two is 20 mana too much to pump into an Epic experiment, and three is it their fault for letting me get that far. (yes a lilly emblem was involved)
Actually that just sounds like good late-game EDH. If you're not doing stuff like that, you should be trying to stop someone else from doing that. You need a Repercussion in there as well.
If you're spell-slinging and running damage creature spells like Blasphemous Act, Repercussion should be a consideration. If you run a ton of creatures maybe not, but sac-outlets work well in these circumstances. Whenever I see Blasphemous Act, I think of Repercussion.
Man, those promos are really nice! I really like that Elesh Norn is written in Phyrexian... that's so flavourful it hurts to know I won't be able to afford one. >_<;;
Anywho! How have you guys been? I haven't been on MTGS for awhile, since I've been doing stuff at school and had to handle a money crisis while in Japan. (My US ATM card expired, so I had to get it shipped to me from the States... all the while essentially broke T_T; ) I've also been painting more of my 40k army, so that's been rather time-consuming..
Oh, I also went on vacation to Chiba, a surf spot about 2.5 hours from Tokyo. It was really fun! The water was so warm
Oh god I been unactive as well the reason being just family issue and stuff I did get genesis wave and vorinclex voice of hunger but I do have a question why oversized sharuum the hedgemen 5 bucks?
I know that there is a decent market in europe for the oversize cards. I am not a big fan of them myself. They are ackward to store and don't serve much of a purpose.
As far as what I have been up too, mostly reworking the massive hidden gems list of mine and watching the Dota 2 qualifiers for the big money championship.
Also working on my Athreos list to have it done this weekend. It is shaping up to be a really fun deck to play in multiplayer. Athreos is a really great political general.
My card hobby (and pretty much everything in my life) has recently suffered from a very intensive new relationship, but I've managed to slightly update my existing decks (including replacing Tajic with Iroas) and I'm hoping to make it to the shop in the coming week. The game will probably feel quite fresh after several weeks of mostly not even touching the cards.

I have a couple of judge buddies so I might be able to get my grubby mitts on some of these.
The Hannah and Elesh are the highlights of these for me but the rest are great too.
