... I can't say whether I'm more excited about changes in EDH or in modern... Both are pretty dang awesome.
RE: Banlist
EDH--
Can't say I'm surprised. Most people really disliked Slyvan Prime, and the ones who didn't just rehashed the same arguments for keeping Prime Time off the banlist before he got the axe as well... I just find it ironic that a card that WotC printed in the Primordial cycle, which the claim to have designed specifically for use in EDH, got the ban-hammer
Modern--
I got my Bitterblossom months ago for EDH. Glad I did ;3 Sooooo expensive now. Maybe it'll drop after the initial shock/buy-up?

Yeah, I'm happy too that SP got axed. I never liked to see him, whether it was me or my opponent playing him...
Also, congrats! To me, the idea of never seeing snow before feels a bit odd, compared that I'm living in a place where you literally can drown in snow during the winter...

Thanks everybody! I'm truly happy about this and I'm going to give the best for make our clan the most appealing one on the forum.
Oh, and, for the first time since when I started to speak French fluently, Today I had a true conversation in English, and now I'm quite disappointed at seeing how much of it I've "lost" because of the French :/
Just popping into to say hi on the new forum. Not sure how I feel about it. Traditionally, Curse has given me a lot of problems (In that the local card shop has all curse sites banned due to hackers).

same here with the curse thing.
I feel like im the only one who really misses SP for his intended purpose Reach and enchantment removal.
Your tenacity for becoming a full member is appreciated. However, I think you need just a LITTLE bit more time until you receive your new title. If you keep on going with your current activity amount, you'll be a Legendary Member in no time

Unfortunately, his ETB ability is pretty indiscriminate and tends to hurt the one who's furthest behind the most. That's not really why he was banned though, he was banned because he warped the format in the eyes of the RC.
I don't double-sleeve, the only bad thing about SP banning is I'm going to have to find something else for my Mimeoplasm. That's okay though. I found him a little boring and I like his Diluvian and Sepulchral brothers a little better anyway. My main problem is that it'll be impossible to trade off unless some weird standard reanimator deck catches on.
I just have my most valuable decks in Dragon Shields--keeps the cards in good condition just fine. I'd like to put all my decks in them because of how long they last, but I feel that getting the remainder of the duals/fetches is more important. I'm missing Bloodstained Mire, Polluted Delta, Underground Sea, Volcanic Island, and Scrubland right now.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
I double-sleeve only the decks that have proven themselves several times over and are unlikely to change or be ripped apart. So, basically, my most stable decks get double-sleeved... Those decks usually are totally optimized by that point, too, so I'm protecting some of my most valuable cards at the same time.
I just came curious about your decks and so, and wanted to know, what are your "Most Valuable ___"'s in your decks...
I'll start with mine:
Land: Grim Backwoods. Since saccing stuff for cards is good, and it also produces mana. (Sisters)
Creature: Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. Undying with creatures that want to die? Yes, please. (Sisters)
Artifact: Clock of Omens. Tapping Crucibles, Torpors etc to untap mana-rocks and other tap-artifacts has proven to be quite effective (Mishra)
Enchantment: Grave Pact. When you must kill everything. (Anowon EDH)
Planeswalker: Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas. In deck filled with artifacts, this should need no more explanation. (Mishra)
Instant: Putrefy. Kills most of the problematic stuff. (Sisters)
Sorcery: Damnation. I heard killing creatures is a good thing. (Mishra, Sisters, Anowon)

I double sleeve my most solid and most expensive decks usually.
My MVC's lately have been...
Land: Tectonic Edge: for when you need to get rid of someone's Springjack Pasture when they have an Aura Shards out. (Kumano)
Creature: Kor Duelist: put an Umezawa's Jitte on this guy and he can take over a game. (Tajic)
Artifact: Sunforger: This card single-handedly let me out duel a mono blue mage. (Tajic)
Enchantment: Pyrohemia: Was in a really tough spot against tokens and top-decked this...I won. (Kumano)
Planeswalker: Koth of the Hammer: I still feel this guy is really underrated. He does so much by himself. (Kumano)
Instant: Lapse of Certainty: For countering a game-deciding Time Warp. (Tajic)
Sorcery: Austere Command: such a versatile card, a flexible, nearly always one-sided board wipe. (Rasputin)
I'm guessing that "most valuable card" is mostly talking about usefulness, not price...Anyways, for me, it depends on the deck. For my GAA4 deck, I've found the following to be my favourites to play.
Land: High Market. It's just so handy for killing stuff that I want to die.
Artifact: Isochron Scepter. Literally any 1-2 drop instant that goes on it gets out of hand in a hurry. And hilarity ensues ;3
Enchantment: Aura of Silence. Both taxation and removal -- on one card! Sooo much value.
Artifact: Skullclamp. This thing has the potential to draw so many cards with any of the mana elves I play or tokens I make (Prossh).
Enchantment: Gravepact. Absolutely ridiculous in a deck full of token production and a sacrifice outlet(Prossh).
Creature: Purphoros, God of the Forge. All the tokens means all the damage. This guy can kill an entire table very quickly if he sticks (Prossh).
Planeswalker: Venser the Sojourner. Being able to flicker things, make all my creatures unblockable, or set up an ongoing win condition makes this guy incredibly good (Roon).
Instant: Path to Exile. Gets rid of problematic stuff for a measly 1 white mana (Roon).
Sorcery: Blasphemous Act. This card has saved my butt in a clogged board state more times than I can count (Prossh).
So, I just re-vamped Derevi. She's still PW control, but now includes a Birthing Pod and is more creature/ETB/LTB oriented. Works soooo much better! AND it's still abusing un/tap shenanigans as well as bounce and flash effects. PLUS there's a wizard sub-theme ala' Azami, Lady of Scrolls. It's got everything in it that I wanted to do with Derevi. I'm really happy with it
Just finished my 3rd game testing it. Let's just say, I exploded in one turn (hard-casting Omniscience and dropping Tangle Wire and Winter Orb on an otherwise pretty clear [and tapped out] board) and then drew massive amounts of cards... it was beautiful :')
Oooooookkkaaayyy, fine, let's do this for Sharuum.
Land: Command Tower if there's one thing the deck can be bad with, it's not getting color screwed. Surprisingly, Academy Ruins hasn't really been a thing for me since the deck has a lot of artifact recursion anyway.
Artifact: Sphinx Summoner this is just a really good tutor in this deck. It fetches your best artifact creatures from your deck and has a nice body. This is my favorite Sharuum target. Honorable mention to Phyrexian Metamorph. Sharuum, reanimating Summoner, searching for Metamorph, casting metamorph and copying summoner is what we call value.
Enchantment: This deck is really enchantment light, but Night Dealings is really something. This deck LOVES tutors and this is actually a really good one. With the number of evasive critters in here, it ends up being a repeatable Diabolic Tutor which is really awesome.
Creature: Sharuum, the Hegemon: With Sphinx Summoner as her best friend/possible love interest. These two cards were made for each other. My Sharuum deck is built around toolboxness and value, and that little interaction shows it pretty well.
Planeswalker: The deck only runs two, and they're both good. Elspeth, Knight Errant is a token generator more often than not, but if you can get off her ultimate, it's well worth it. Tezzeret the Seeker can ramp and tutor straight to the battlefield. Plus, after one activation of his +1, you can tutor for Summoner and start a crazy combo chain.
Instant: Dissipate or any counterspell in the deck, although Dissipate is probably one of the best, at least on paper.
Sorcery: With some exceptions, there are three classes of sorcery in this deck. Those that give you extra turns, those that tutor, and those that wipe the board. Martial Coup is the best boardwipe, Time Warp is the best extra turn spell, and Demonic Tutor is the best tutor.
Yup, I'm boring. Given one of the most combotastic generals in existence, I build a control deck

Enchantment: Aura of Silence. Both taxation and removal -- on one card! Sooo much value.
Creature: Erayo, Soratami Ascendant. It's rather easy to flip her and when she does, it's nuts.
Planeswalker: Jace, the Mindscultpor. He's an overpriced Brainstorm for the most part, but I've been using his +1 ability to great effect lately.
Instant: There's just too many to choose from... I am equally fond of Mana Drain and Swords to Plowshares, though.
Sorcery: Terminus. Tuck effects are the best! Mass tuck effects are even better ;P

Land: Temple of the False God. This thing has been amazing, jumping me straight from 4 mana to 6 mana allows me to cast Prossh, Skyraider of Kher when most people think I couldn't (Prossh).
Artifact: Skullclamp. This thing has the potential to draw so many cards with any of the mana elves I play or tokens I make (Prossh).
