Huzzah.....uuhhh 10am is to early, just picked up my wife's cold, work until almost 2am, and I'm in a waiting room right now for a hair folicle test. Finally getting hired in permanent after 17 months as a Temp. Stupid layoffs. Stupid hair tests. My head looks like an orange lollipop that your grandma found in the bottom of her purse that's probably been there since 1962. You know it. It's all misshappen, sticky and you're not even sure it's flavor is orange and you can't read the label because it's either faded and smeared, or it's in a language we no longer speak in America. Come to think of it, my hair looks a lot like Seth Green.

As for G against the rest of the world: I spent the last few days working in my parents' garden and chopped a good month of firewood - I really would have loved someone to drop a Giant Growth on me. Or Rancor.
Sharuum is my commander of choice, although I will not for a second question the murderous malignant monstrosity that is a finely built Oona deck. BUG looks cool for EDH, been meaning to build for ages!

I'd build an Ana deck if the generals weren't all boring Goodstuff spewing boringness.
I would much rather be playing EDH right now. In the middle of a failing mono:symu: FNM. Round 1 = Mana flood, and screw 0 - 2. Round 2 = Poorly played think twice against VoR then getting punched in the face for it, followed by another mana screw. I'm probably dropping if I lose 3 Straight, building my Elite Arcanist Deck and Giving up mono:symu:.
UPDATE: I'm getting tired and playing stupid. I just Augur-ed both my Aetherlings, after going up 1 - 0, because I forgot to play Think Twice... 3 times. Then I took a Snapcaster, Negate, Peel from Reality, 4 land hand, to get nothing of consequence and lose horribly. I'm now 1 - 3.
FINAL: Got the crap kicked out of me for not mulliganing, and having either no Draw, or no answers. After a bunch of land drops, Crypt Ghast, Catheral Sanctifiers, A pair of Rhox Faith Menders, and a Blood Baron of Viskopa everytime you need it, you can't do enough. Then Avacyn drops in and laughs over your Aetherling along side a recently winged Baron. I didn't even win a Random pack or make a trade worth noting. I traded an Unglued Forest(I have extra) for a Rest in Peace. You see? I just wasted a whole sentence on that. Kudos for not dropping? How about everyone else's Friday? I am positive SOMEONE --- *coughTeraparseccough* excuse me, getting over a cold--- had a good FNM.
If I was a bunny, you would know not to sandwich in front of cow manure looking at the Rings on Saturn. After spelling, I expect that Jessica will nominally do that before the horns strike two and a half pennies for sure. And if anything good came from the long sleeve T-shirt, kung fu isn't going to anyway. So, take a deep breath and jumping jacks over caramel changes the channel, invoke the starship, and don't bug me for 42. Wipe that mirror through the overpass and take charge to the other cookies. If they knew a single molecule, you would chop onions at the grocery store and keep a lock on it. Now that you have said your puzzle, shoot willingly, because someday fame will go your skirt in town, while African a red bead proverbs catacomb. Songs are for back alley jungle gym.

Good? Sure. Successful? Not at all!
There are 2 problems with M14:
- Compared to M13, it's somehow meh (or MM, Bolas forbid!).
- I can't really take the release draft seriously.
I opened up a Windreader Sphinx in the first booster. Ok, let's try a flyer deck! Then, there was barely a signal. I picked up a couple of Archaeomancers and two (!) Guardian of the Ages. Flyers + Defenders = could work, right? Except that so far, only the Sphinx flies. Second booster gives me my third Archaeomancer and my neighbour passes me Traumatize. Ok. If I'm not drafting fliers, I'll definitely draft Mill. Except that ... not, because I only got an Opportunity to go with the Traumatize. Okax, how about drafting all instants and sorceries to get maximum value out of the Archaeomancers?
Result? 1-2. I did a successful excursion to Manascrew County and back. All the games I lost were over in 2-3 minutes, as I failed to find proper lands - or all of them at once ...
My FNM consisted of a 5 hour game of EDH, waiting till midnight to buy 3 Ring of Three Wishes, 2 Rise of the Dark Realms and a Strionic Res, as well as a deal that involved 60 of my dollars and me pocketing some Demonic and Cruel Tutors, Memory Jar, and a way to play Progenitus, Child of Alara, Havengul Lich and Gisela in my Riku Deck.

Aetherling is fun and no one likes seeing him drop. I love the occasional Jace AoT Ult drop. Mono:symu: seems just shy of something for me. I'm going to either go back to Esper, or switch to U/W Arcanist. Polls/Opinions?

I only got myself a fatpack, because I needed a new box for EDH, and the M14 one looks sweet. Got a Kalonian Hydra, Lili of the Dark Realms and a foil Goblin Diplomats (the picture - the flavour text - the mechanic ... perfect!) - very satisfied.

Kalonian Hydra? And Lili of the Recently Obtained Card Support? You did better than me. Those 2 cards just about paid for the fatpack. I'm loving Doom Blade, Ultimate Price, and Devour Flesh in standard. Duress, Lifebane Zombie, and Corrupt? Seeing some mono:symb: happening. Only Time, and Theros, will tell.

@Nate, with the addition of silence and doom blade, I really feel like there is huge potential for Esper. As it is, the potential has yet to be unlocked. Post rotation, I feel what will be taken away will not help the build. I guess we'll see when theros drops.

Well, essentially the only thing that is detrimental to the build is losing the buddy lands. While2 color aggro remains fast, barring a full cycle of Nimbus Maze-esque lands in Theros, 3-color anything, especially control, slows down at least 1 turn. What spells is Esper control losing that are an injury to the build? And that's not a rhetorical question, I can't think of anything and don't trust my memory.
