This is our clan history.

[House Dimir] is the second oldest clan on MTGSalvation. Not only that, but we are the oldest of the Ravnica guild clans. We are on our thirty-first thread, becoming more powerful each day.
Even with over seven years of solid activity, we continue to be one of the strongest, and stable clans throughout the forum. Over these long, glorious years, the members of [House Dimir] have helped shape not only the clans forum, but MTGSalvation.com in general.
Since the inception of our clan, we have thrived for dominance through subtle manipulation and meticulous calculation. Everyone has a part to play in Our grande scheme. The question is, will you choose to willingly except your place as a pawn in the great [House Dimir], or will you be one of Our many unsuspecting puppets?

This list has gotten insane with users who are no longer active. If you wish to be a friend of the clan, just post a few times and ask. I will then add all new friends forcibly controlled aquired this way as we get you.
Those members are as followed:
pinkfloyd, the Old Fogey of New Duskmantle Macius (has since been assimilated)
For those seeking membership.
If you have not been posting in our thread regularly, do not ask to join Our esteemed Clan. If you become active and productive, then and only then may you ask for membership. So join in on the conversation, and perhaps you will be deemed worthy.
Our beautiful header artwork was made by the great Rivenor, of Miraculous Recovery Studios. Thanks man, you rock!
@KS, incidentally, though we are the second oldest clan, The Izzet have way.more threads than us. Well, I think like five? They are the third oldest by only a few months! Sadly, they have become rather inactive:(
What does everyone think of the new header?
Be sure to change your sig links.
@Tera, that's the way it used to be, and you're right:) Fixed, like a G.
We cycle at 1000 posts as is tradition, which was adopted by former members from the other clans around at the time of our conceptualization. About two years ago, I made a proposal to just keep the same thread and change the title every once in a great while. But the clan decided it was a neater and overall easier way of record keeping to continue the tradition, (even though I have no problem with record keeping regardless of thread size...).
@Nate, The Called, and they actually came over from MtGNews when the first big migration happened.
@"Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!", I told ya'll I needed input, lol.
He did blow up a library housing super secret stuff....
Project week done! Successfully turned spent coffee grinds into hydrochar (not suited for grilling, because the stuff reeks, but comes surprisingly close to anthracite coal in energy yield when burned) and tested for noxious chemicals being generated by the process. Can imagine doing a thesis on carbonization later on. This stuff's interesting!
I love those Green + all the fun cards decks! Even if this one is a bit greedy (I should have picked up a few Vivids, perhaps). Extremely fun to play. 4/4 Oracles are amazing. Especially on turn 4 with a mana left to sacrifice them. 8/8 Figure actually worked a few times, thanks to the Knight setting up or Manamorphose turning GG into RR.
It's absolutely nothing against the current members of the Izzet as I am sure they are all great, it's just nothing like it used to be. A few years ago, specifically 2008/2009 the Izzet had 6-8 of some of the most active members in all of clans, since then, they migrated away from the clan or the site in general for some. I do hope they can restore themselves to their former glory and do not disappear.
@Ayu, I doubt that;) I know these subs in and out.
As do I :), seeing as I've been in them and posted in many of them all but the first two years of MTGS life. 2011 is a little foggy for me admittedly as I just wasn't around pretty much that entire year but otherwise good.
I miss some of the clans that aren't around now :(.
All The remaining senior members of the Izzet League have recently left:/ That probably is the cause of their lull.
Yeah :(. I really do hope Izzet can return to it's former glory. A small part of me will always be attached to it because of all the amazing memories I had while apart of it, I just hope it doesn't go the way of how so many other clans in the last few years have :(.
@Digi Head Librarian, Resident Historian, Father of Secrets and Digicool Dad, Trekkie, and The guy with so many games that he doesn't know what to do....You really do have it all.
@Ayu Welp, I haven't the slightest who you are, and it drives me nuts on the soul principal of nearly never being the last to know anything. So, for that I say, "Hello."
@aja Haven't played it, I've been burnt out on fighters since Tekken 4(I will kick the crap out of anyone with Bru-uhh...Marshal Law. Literally.) But Injustice does look good. I watched my brother get the crap knocked out of him by his g/f who was using Harley Quinn, then Aquaman, then basically any matchup you could put the two in. I gotta say, it was hilarious. Not because she's a girl, but she went about it all nonchalant like, "Okay, I'll try, but I'm not really that good at it."
@Tera Nice work, I've got a foil Figure that I need to get rid of. Maybe I'll trade it for a fire and ice sword to someone who doesn't know any better. *muahahahahaaa* What happened to the how your draft went story? I read those more than MaRo's articles on wizards.com

Speaking of superturd, did anyone see Man of Steel?I went with my youngest brother and his girlfriend, who are movie buffs and the same Injustice pair, and our mom, who loves Superman almost as much as Elvis. The movie was god awful. I would have walked out, and I don't do that. Ever. My mom and I p'ed off the rest of the theater by making jokes about it and laughing loudly through 50 - 75% of the movie. If anyone wants, I am very open to a discussion about which parts were worse, and how, or just outright making fun.
If you liked the movie, I respectfully disagree.
"Holy Multiple Conversations, Batman! How much more could he possibly take?!?"
"I'm afraid I'm no help, Robin. You see, I'm the mayor of Quahog now."
Ok, I barely escaped the T2 disaster (5 persons =/= sanctionable tournament), so we went for EDH instead. The Mishra rebuild (now with less durdling and more stax) worked like a charm. Possibility Storm + Scroll Rack + Counterbalance = giant spanner in everyone else's works. Turning a Sol Ring into a Blightsteel Colossus does have its charms, too.
Now, back for what happened at that MM draft ...
It was one of these days where the draft could have gone everywhere - and it did! My first booster had goodies like Ephemeron, Glacial Ray, Sporesower Thallid and Etched Oracle. I was torn, but eventually just couldn't resist 4/4's that draw 3 when they catch removal. Especially when they're shiny. I get passed a second Oracle, followed by Auriok Salvagers - a card I just can't resist picking. I managed to pick up 2 Kodama's Reach and a Fiery Fall (mana fixing: check!) as well. After the first booster, I had half a white affinity deck, some ramp and even a Manamorphose and a Grapeshot if I suddenly felt like moving into Storm. Second booster gave me Knight of the Reliquary (manafixing: check again!), a pair of Gargoyles (to loop the oracles) and somehow, no-one wanted that Figure of Destiny. In booster 3, I slam the Sword. My neighbor, obviously not in white, passes me Stonehewer Giant and Cloudgoat Ranger. Too much awesome in a single booster. But since I already had the unfair equipment, I had to pick up the tutor for it.
Round 1, I'm up against U/R Tempo. His deck is chock full of burn and x/1 fliers. The first game, my oracle makes a valiant effort to stop an army of fliers, but miserably fails. Since his stuff has no toughness, I fetch the Grapeshot from the sideboard. Then, the following happens: his board: Scion of Oona, Latchkey Faerie, suspended Cloudskate. I drop a Gargoyle, retrieving the spellbomb, and suspend Rift Bolt. His Skate comes in, bounces my dude, he swings and drops another Latchkey Faerie. My turn? Bolt the Scion, drop Spellbomb, Manamorphose, Grapeshot. Board successfully wiped. Unfortunately, my life total is low enough he can take me out with Molten Disaster later on.
Round 2 is against G/W. The first game takes ages, as we both spam the ground with dudes. He eventually finds a Dustwasp, and tries to enchant it with Moldervine Cloak, but I have a Fiery Fall ready. Knight of the Reliquary thins all the lands from my deck. I'm now the proud owner of a 9/9, but charging into double Imperiosaur is just not fun. Then, I draw a Gargoyle. Sac oracle, draw into the Sword, get Oracle back. The 4/5 flyer that shocks on hit eventually kills him. The second game leads to a stalled ground as well, but this time, I get Figure to 4/4 early on. Knight fetches the necessary red and white mana to go into Avatar mode, and I win thanks to a 1 mana 8/8 flying first striker.
Round 3 pairs me against U/R. I suspend Journey, Reach on turn 3 and have the 4/4 Oracle on turn 4, along with mana to sacrifice him if he eats removal. Promptly, my opponent drops a Torrent of Stone on it. Oh well. Figure, grow to 2/2, Spellbomb, bounce incoming Ephemeron, turn Figure into a 4/4, play and equip the Sword to it. 'So, you now basically have protection from my deck?' - 'Hope so!' He Thirsts for Knowledge and finds an Epochrasite as temporary solution to the armed Kithkin. To his bad luck, I topdeck Manamorphose, turn GG into RR and push the Kithkin into Avatar mode. Game 2 is a giant removal fest. I nuke his Ephemeron with Fiery Fall, he fries my Oracle with Sudden Shocks, we trade scores of creatures in combat. Eventually, Knight of the Reliquary sticks and starts thinning the deck, while I get hit over the head by a Faerie Mechanist. An Oracle draws me into Figure. Thanks to the efforts of the Knight, I manage to bring it to 8/8 again, so my opponent is forced to keep back his Mechanist. And from the top of the deck comes the Sword. Two attacks and both my opponent and his board are dead ...
