Apologies for the delay for the final round pairings. I hope everyone enjoyed their new year. I opted to hold off a bit to gather all the numbers together so people know where they stand going into the final round.
We had a lot of player rankings shift greatly this round, which means it can happen again next round. So play your best all, and good luck.
For everyone's information, and because it's probably about to be fairly relevant:
Quote from Tiebreakers »
At the end of the final round, players are ranked based on the total number of match points they earned during the tournament.
Players advance to the single-elimination rounds based on their rank. WHEN PLAYERS WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR ADVANCEMENT HAVE
EQUAL MATCH-POINT TOTALS, THE FOLLOWING TIEBREAKER STEPS MUST BE USED (IN THIS ORDER):
Step 1. Compare all tied contenders based on their opponents’ match-win percentages.
Step 2. Compare all tied contenders based on their game-win percentages.
Step 3. Compare all tied contenders based on their opponents’ game-win percentages.
A player’s match-win percentage is that player’s accumulated match points divided by 3
times the number of rounds in which he or she competed, or 0.33, whichever is greater.
(Establishing a minimum match-win percentage [0.33] limits the effect low performances
have when calculating and comparing opponents’ match-win percentages in Step 1 of the
tiebreakers.) A player’s opponents’ match-win percentage is the average match-win
percentage of each opponent that player faced (ignoring those rounds for which the player
received a bye).
Game points are similar to match points in that players earn 3 game points for each game
they win and 1 point for each game that ends in a draw. Unfinished games are considered
draws. Unplayed games are worth no points. Similar to the match-win percentage, a player’s
game-win percentage is the total number of game points he or she earned divided by 3 times
the number of games played.
Similar to opponents’ match-win percentage, a player’s opponents’ game-win percentage is simply
the average game-win percentage of all of that player’s opponents. And, as with opponents’
match-win percentage, each opponent has a minimum game-win percentage of 0.33.
Lol, my list was a turd. I figured I'd be a, "I'll run the deck that I actually own instead of building a money-gobbling monster!"
Look where that got me.
I actually own all cards in my deck as well, but that is mainly due to the fact I created a deck in my favourite arche-type, which I have explored in various ways over the past 6 years.

Magic is cardboard crack, and the only thing keeping me from overdosing is the fact that I still have to buy milk and bread.
That doesn't stop the real addicts. FWIW, I own most of the cards in my deck. There's one card I don't own any of, and another I only own 2 of the 4 that are in my deck.
Anyway, Gerrard's Mom and my match is slated for 11PM Eastern (8PM Pacific) this Friday. I'm not sure how GM feels about spectators, but I would welcome them, so I hope to see you guys there.

therestless and I are scheduled to play at 12:30 EST (11:30 CST) tonight. So if you're in a convenient time zone, an insomniac or just as adverse to sleeping at night as I am (not always the same as insomnia), be sure to tune in!

That was a quick one. Both games I had an attacking turn 3 Emrakul. Game one he attacked alongside a Kozilek and game 2 was finished the following turn by a Raging Ravine and Llanowar Elves.

Those were the quickest games I've played this tournament. Which is actually saying something since I'm playing Affinity. Good luck in the top 4!
Dechs and I are about to play now. The password is the same as before:)
And he just 2-0d me.

You have one week to complete your matches, as always, making them due on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8th, at 8:00 PM EST.
After that, the top 4 will commence to single elimination finals.
P.S. I think we might start this earlier next year....
I believe that making lists public is part of the plan. I'll happily post mine once we're done, but I doubt anyone will want to look at it.
I'm pretty curious myself to see what creative people came up with.
The Izzet
I'd say that I did that as well, but I'm one of those weird collector people for which that doesn't really mean anything.
Still, these online events are a great way to try something you wouldn't normally be able to play.

Was definitely lucky to find the Emrakul + Sneak Attack both games. If I'd had to rely on Summoning Trap I probably would have lost.
