Well we also have a new movement here in the states where we have no culture. Many people of my generation (i'm 22) and the one before mine have decided that culture and tradition is a waste of time. I can't remember the exact statistic but something like 70% identity as not having any strict celebration of holidays. Trick-or-treating went form begging for food in trade fro prayers to just seeing how many milk duds we can get in our mouths before our parents catch us.
The more I learn about Americans the more they confuse me, I hope that at least you Americans can figure it out, I had thought that Americans were way more conservative than what feast just said, but as I said, Americans confuse me.

America has a lot of problems. We've got a couple generations filled with narcissistic sociopaths. A steadily increasing percentage of the populace has chronic health problem. A lot of people have a ridiculous entitlement complex spawned by poor parenting and consumerism that encourages parasitic and financially unsound life styles.

I wouldn't use the term 'sociopath'. That gives them a psychological excuse to act that way (even though that term has been technically phased out of use, but semantics...). Put in basic terms, people are just rude and selfish. And I'm going to school for counseling! I work part time in retail. I hate the general public....

But yes, I agree.
American culture is filled with lazy people who want something for nothing because they were told they were worth it by lower than subpar parenting. For example, in the system of welfare (be wary, there is a tad bit of personal opinion in here), I have seen tons of people who abuse the system, abusing drugs, being smelly and plain old nasty in appearance and in their interactions. I have had these people tell me they won't work because "they are worth more than minimum wage". While yes, I feel the welfare system is justified for people who actually try to do better, such as single parents ect. People who refuse to work, I'm sorry, are just a waste of space. (For some reason, I feel I'm going to get infracted for this).
The more I learn about Americans the more they confuse me, I hope that at least you Americans can figure it out, I had thought that Americans were way more conservative than what feast just said, but as I said, Americans confuse me.
I'm not even sure we want to figure ourselves out, to be honest. And yet, I'm a psyche major, so there is something alluring about us....
Since I have only been here for a short time, I have no idea how much activity there usually is, but maybe it is due to sudden announcement of Tordeck leaving? It seems like it gets people talking about how they want to reform the clan and so, maybe something they hadn't considered a while back. But as I said, I am new here, so it is only guesswork. Feel free to contribute to the recent hive activity though, the more the merrier.

As my poor luck would have it I find out about that just after I disappear for a few days to deal with issues with work. Makes me sad. Anyone have Tordeck on facebook?
ok ive decided to go black green with that deck i posted. i wanna start getting into standard so if anyone has any ideas on some good b/g standard mikeaus bsz deck ideas lmk. im also gonna do a zombies
Nah no thanks. You can keep your nerd thug tactics. It is ridiculous that I cant trade MY cards using MY databased list which is easy to update and manage. The mod community here is the terrible, virtual MTG brownshirt club.
By bsz, do you mean Black Sun's Zenith? Because that rotated out. Maybe exchange it with Mutilate if bsz was the card I thought it was.
it is ok the lets go to zendikar with the b/g deck. also yes it was black sun. might not be standard but still retriction myself down to that many cards is a start

@ Grados: This is my current zombie deck. It hasn't failed me yet so if you want a place to start here you go.I know this isn't mono black but when ravnica is your standard what are you going to do?honestly i think mizzium morters may be better then bonfire now if you don't want to pay a crazy amount fof it.
agreed, decent amount of time went into that I imagine and hopefully no info was lost... it would seem resonable to say "hey you have a week to fix this to meet stds" instead of just deleting the whole thing
Except that takes common sense and its well known that anyone on Sally with any type of offical status has Zero to None.
I suggest trying to change up the CMB tournament so as to not repeat formats until each has been used once.
Tordeck, I have replied, as is right and proper, to your thread in Community Issues; but, knowing that you'd invariably raise this amongst your clan members, I feel as though now I should run this by you all. Thank you for hosting this post in your thread. You've be most kind.
I am doing this as an act of good faith and without the support of my fellows.
I have, in the interim, restored the content of your clan article as a subpage of my talk page. I am interested in you, all of you, and I coming to some sort of conclusion rather than you ragging on me and the staff of this site, past, present, and future with your over-broad and undue disparagement.
I am also interested in, if you want and you're not put off by this perhaps sordid affair, hosting an article for your clan and making it not only a work that qualifies by the grace of some sort of "sweat of the brow" provision or rule (pardon the rather appalling and inapropos reference to a doctrine in American law) or valuation of the amount of work that was invested into the article; though, if you really must use that line of argument, please take a good hard look at your clan page at its most recent revision. I hope you can appreciate and understand the reservations about the article, although the decision to your clan page was not at all a personal matter. Honestly.

I am truly apologetic that the memorandum that was circulated failed to reach you or was inadequately memorable. In future, where would the MTGS Wiki system operators best post messages? I'm genuinely concerned this and curious as to an efficacious and easy solution, as all of the avenues that have been considered are not without issues.
I hope all of you are well or life will soon be looking good.
I don't play Magic, and I guess, when I did, although I played black now and then, I'm through and through blue or white and blue.
So if I'm getting this correctly there was a decision to clear out all the user/clan wiki pages, but partway through this process action was stayed pending some futher discussion. Are clan pages going to be fine now or is that still a thing being debated?
I'll grant a lot of our clan wiki page is stuff that gets copied over to the OP of each of our clan threads. That probably doesn't need to be there or could be significantly reduced. There's also some history in there about AWOL and Valentine1 that I don't think is anywhere else and is very much worth keeping around.
So if I'm getting this correctly there was a decision to clear out all the user/clan wiki pages
Well, not, but that was an expected side-effect (sorry, can't think in human; I should know a better term but I'm also at a hospital for an inordinate number of hours per week, lol).
I can't promise you an absolutely comprehensive picture and while I value being honest and being (not transparent but like) transparent; but, truthfully, our discussions aren't all that animated. We deliberated over the direction - and stuff like that, such as focus and probably all other synonyms of the two - of the wiki.
Please note that user and clans article pages were and are two different beasts. With user pages, we highly value the privacy of our users, so we purged any user page that had far too much information that made us rather uncomfortable with hosting (I know, we're such benevolent fascists, but fascists nevertheless!) or were removed for other reasons. Staff user pages were hidden from plain view en masse and staff were informed of this by yours truly - though I can't say that I didn't want to move on this as soon as possible as possible and gave extremely short notice or gave due notice but expedited the entire process by summarily making good (and I pretty much had no objections from the staff that responded).
The main article name space articles of users that have not been staff or are not staff were moved as appropriate to the User ("User:") name space. Essentially none of active users were deleted; but, I did delete a handful of pretty much blank user pages (and I shall stand by that). None will miss them, but I myself am seldom driven all that much by imbalanced considerations, such as such a wholly 'consequentialist' (if you will) one.
The matter of Clans and Forums is an interesting one, and I might have to humour and regale you with the thought process at a later juncture. (Naptime?!)

Right now, things are solid or at a steady state.
It may be the hour but I'm not sure exactly what you're saying or implying.

No comment because I can't make sense of it; it's probably me, not you.
... oh darn, I thought I wouldn't start on this... So, on the deletion of some Clans articles, some were basically hopeless, literally without a hope of improvement as users had died (from MTGS, to real life)/left/something'd or some other reason, such as blatant disregard or ignorance, to wit, the lack of knowledge or awareness, of the wiki and a Clans page.
Deletions weren't without critical assessment is what I'm trying to articulate... poorly.
Your Clans article might or might not have had potential (now may or may not, considering it's been resurrected) but, as it was, it was a shambles (no offence to the editors)! I'm not sure how to better describe that but that's literally the first word I could of. I also thought about scones and tea, so, I guess, take that at face value for what it is...
I think the main thing is the current wiki page is basically by us for us, when really it should be something by us for people just getting into the clan area of MTGS plus a bit of history so the current state of things makes sense.
Hmm... It sure was a fun read and honestly I had no idea who lil wayne was, but he seems like an aggressive midget. Due to the fact that I am a martial artist (and a sociopath), this so called "system" is not something I am familiar with. While I do recognize that people have tried to bully me verbally, I usually, like the lawyer laughed it off, it did escalate to actual violence a few times, but those times fell out in my favor, since I have never been beaten up if we look away from tournaments, I do believe that was the reason why they tried to destroy me mentally (it did not work).
Also the system might be the reason why I don't have to avoid people when walking on the street, they simply make space. A lovely thing.
On a side note, I never got into trouble for fighting due to my good grades and silver tongue, which somehow reinforced other people's hatred (I was not well-liked in school).
It was a nice read, so thank you for it.

It's a good insight into why Americans can act so strangely. It was only casually mentioned in that blog entry, but the whole school system's stance on fights and bullying is pretty awful. "Oh someone decided to punch you? Now you're in trouble. And you're 5, so from now on you're just going to assume this is how the world works. Good luck!"
You are, of course, all right with my posting here (at least with respect to this matter, right?

I am very glad to see that this was cleared up and we have access to our information, as I do not believe we had it anywhere else. Thank you for being so professional about all of this! I like when things can be resolved without conflict.
But I can see where some would say the thread was chaotic, and as such, I am working on a new, condensed version of the history (while attempting to be more formal.)
I will post this to the Clan Thread for others to view and proofread before we change the actual wiki page though.
But a heads up, these days, in order to edit the wiki, you must now register (link here). (We still get a load of spammers, though; but, it seems that the measures we've set up has curbed the very worst of spam and the amount of spam too.)
Furthermore, you must also confirm and activate your account's privileges by checking your e-mail inbox and clicking the link.
I am making a personal request to register with your MTGS handle. That way, we should be able to know that you're probably not a spammer and we'll be all the more less likely to accidentally block you from editing (though, if you do get blocked, shoot one of us an e-mail message or PM and we'll see what we can do; but, I can't and won't guarantee you an instantaneous reply).
I know. It's very demanding. ...Damned spammers.
therestless said something rather insightful, as in insightful (but I use qualifiers such as rather because that, therein, lies a joy of English). I'll probably get to it later.

Will do. Actually, we should probably see if anyone else here wishes to be our Phyrexian Librarian too, so we can discuss who's going to keep up with it.
And I have completed my condensing of the threads. I'll post it later once I get it in a nice document, but I will need someone to do the brief history of the last few threads as I was not around for them.
