Dayum! Very nice... I'll actually have to use it (If I can figure out how)
There are instructions given on the first post, and BlackVise also posted instructions somewhere in the thread. You can also right-click and save the sign, then upload it from your computer on the User CP.
nice flavor! i'd vote that one in. it looks like you could use his first ability to flip over an opponents card also, so it'd be turning their creatures back to the weak side.
Thanks, and I didn't even think of using it to "weaken" other double-faced cards! (The flavor text is my favorite part, if I may toot my own horn.)
You can check the contest thread; for rounds 2 and 3, there are only pictures, so I'm assuming that there will be more instructions added later.
1) Fading means it'll be sacrificed either before or after it transforms back, so we need to reword the ability to get around that, but that's easily doable.
2) The flavor text is awesome, but I think it would be better to get rid of the actual reference to Daylight Savings. Either just having it as "Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead" or quoting it as an ancient proverb or similar would fit better in my opinion.
Any thoughts?
Sounds good. I used Fading as a "prototype," so to speak. Here's a reworded version:
Clockwinder's Assistant 3
Artifact Creature - Werewolf Construct {R} 2, t: Transform target Double Faced Card other than Clockwinder's Assistant.
At the beginning of each upkeep, if there are three or more transformed cards on the battlefield, transform Clockwinder's Assistant. "Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead."
1/2
// Clockwinder's Guardian
(x) Artifact Creature - Werewolf {R}
Clockwinder's Guardian has 3 time counters on it.
At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter from Clockwinder's Guardian.
Remove a time counter from Clockwinder's Guardian: put a +1/+1 counter on target Werewolf or Artifact Creature.
At the beginning of your upkeep, if there are no time counters on Clockwinder's Guardian, transform Clockwinder's Guardian. "A regular wind-up toy world this is, I think." --Haruki Murakami, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle
4/4
We can always see who else comes up with an idea for round one, then vote / edit / fix / whatever.
I just thought that another werewolf was bland, and thought an artifact would bring a cool spin on werewolves.
I also realized that double faced cards keep their counters etc. when they transform. Technically, Clockwinder's Guardian can put all three counters on itself, then transform back to a 4/5 Clockwinder's Assistant. Is that too overpowered? Should we fix mana costs or something? Start with "When there are no time counters.....transform"?
I quite like that it can put the +1/+1 counters on itself and then transform back, but it seems it could be a bit overpowered.
Also, at the moment your opponent's transformed creatures allow it to transform, perhaps that should be changed? In fact, I think it could even be better to word it as:
Clockwinder's Assistant3
Artifact Creature - Werewolf Construct {R} 2, t: Transform target Double Faced Card other than Clockwinder's Assistant. Then, if you control three of more transformed creatures, transform Clockwinder's Assistant. "Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead."
1/2
Also, as a rules thing, does the word transformed just refer to a card being on its night side? The reason I ask is because obviously a night side card could transform back to its day side, in which case it would have transformed again.
I agree that it's overpowered. Your new wording is a good place to start fixing it. It can still be a cool card without being too much; we can work with it!
I've been looking at rulings online, but I have not found the answer to that question yet. I'll post something in the Rulings forum and them get back to you.
IMO, we should have a bigger header banner. One that spans the width of the text.
Anyway, I'm pleased to announce that I once again have an EDH deck IRL, and a couple of my friends also built their first ones. EDH night just got a lot sweeter!
Sure. I will take a look at how the other clans did theirs then I will send instructions to the other clan members.
Sounds good!
As far as the card contest....I'm continuing to develop the artifact werewolf idea, as no other ideas have been presented yet. Still, please feel free to nitpick and offer suggestions for 1) improvement and 2) making sure it's not overpowered. I'm continuing to wrack my brain trying to get the wording right. As of now, here's what I have:
Clockwinder's Assistant3
Artifact Creature - Werewolf Construct {R} 2, t: Transform target Double Faced Card other than Clockwinder's Assistant.
At the beginning of each upkeep, if you control three or more transformed / night side creatures, transform Clockwinder's Assistant. "Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead."
1/2
// Clockwinder's Guardian
(x) Artifact Creature - Werewolf {R}
Clockwinder's Guardian has three time counters on it.
At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter from Clockwinder's Guardian.
Remove a time counter from Clockwinder's Guardian: put a +1/+1 counter on target Werewolf or Artifact Creature.
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, if there are no time counters on Clockwinder's Guardian, transform Clockwinder's Guardian. "A regular wind-up toy world this is, I think." --Haruki Murakami, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle
4/4
I changed the Assistant so that it transforms when you control three or more transformed / night side cards.
I'm still not sure about the wording on Clockwinder's Assistant. The whole day/night technical wording is confusing despite the answers I got in the Rulings forum.
As to making sure this card isn't overpowered, here are some ideas:
1. P/T lower than 4/4 for the Guardian?
2. Higher CC for Assistant?
3. Higher cost for Assistant's ability?
4. Should we limit the +1/+1 counters for just werewolf creatures? Should we remove the artifact creatures?
5. Should we not allow the Guardian to put +1/+1 counters on itself? It could still do it to other Guardians / Assistants, but you'd need two on the battlefield, so it's more difficult to break it.
6. Fewer time counters on the Guardian? Maybe two instead?
Anyway, I'm pleased to announce that I once again have an EDH deck IRL, and a couple of my friends also built their first ones. EDH night just got a lot sweeter!
EDH, one of the best formats ever?
I have a few EDH decks, and it's a blast playing with this format especially in group of 4 and 6. At the moment, I'm going to make my 4th EDH deck, and it's going to be a real casual and underpowered one, with the likes of Starlit Angel, Angel of Mercy and Angel of Fury.

Philip, you will only be allowed to join the clan if you reveal who is in your avatar.

Well guys, I wish you luck on the card design, and on all other facets of the clan. I'll be gone from these forums for a while--I'm going to be at a camp for a month's time starting tomorrow, and I'll have to take my leave from technology. Farewell.
1) I think 4/4 is fine, but 3/3 might be alright too.
2) Again, I think it's fine as is, going up to 4 or 5 would risk making it unplayable.
3) That might be a good idea, perhaps going up to 3?
4) I think that flavor wise it would be better for it to just target artifact creatures - perhaps we could actually make its creature type 'Clockwork Werewolf' and have this ability only target clockwork creatures? EDIT: Well, if it's a clockwork werewolf, it can still target itself....
5) I like the idea of it being able to target itself, but I can see that changing depending on how the card changes.
6) Again, I think three is probably an alright number, but I could see that changing as well.
1. Yes, I'm leaning towards 4/4. I don't want it instantly dying to a bolt.
2. True.
3. I agree; hindering it just a bit makes it more playable and less breakable.
4. The only issue is that "clockwork" as a creature type doesn't appear in Innistraad, and we want it to match Innistrad's flavor somewhat. Not sure I agree with you there ;), but we can see what others think.
5. On the fence about this as well.
6. Ditto.

I love EDH! Though I've never really built a multi-person edh deck, they are usually one on one. Maybe I should make one.
Multi-player EDH is most enjoyable for me, because you can play janky cards like Craw Wurm and really obscure stuffs which makes people fall of the chair. Additionally, there are plenty of opportunities to play stuff like Boundless Realm - the epic ramp spell.
My general is more of an anti-general for pesky and annoying ones. Otherwise my deck is just a UWB control deck which is my preferred play style. I know I'm missing stuff like Damnation and Force of Will but I don't have those yet and I like playing with cards I actually have :).

That deck uses some of my favorite cards I think if I built a deck like it, I would lean for Grixis, though. Cruel Ultimatum and Nicol Bolas are just too much fun. Plus, you know, red.
I especially like the Trinket Mage in there. He's so much fun
Our group has decided on 10 proxy limit, have you thought of doing something similar with the people you play with? Naturally, that means you should plan on getting the cards eventually. But hey, I can use those money cards I talked about in my last post now!
If you don't do that, you can always try and pick up a GB FoW. I got one for my cube, they only run for like $7.
Bleh, 60-card casual will always trump EDH for me. I wish EDH wasn't taking over the casual realm as much as it is, especially since EDH games can take so damn long and the format draws too many spikes. :/
As it is, I did make 5 EDH decks to have on hand. They are tuned to be decent regular multi-player decks, so they aren't as powerful or slow as most EDH decks can be.
Mimeoplasm - GY/Mill based deck. Lhurgoyf and Mortivore type guys
Mime-o-plasm - Yes, another one This is a deck with a LOT of copy effects (Clone, copy artifact, etc)... I try to get every type of good cloneish spell I can.
Avacyn - Mono-white Angels + a lot of wraths.
Nin - UR Wizards deck and guys I want to hit with direct damage (Stuffy Doll). A lot more tricks, but nowhere near a brozen Azami-type deck.
Riku - I'll likely tear it apart and make it into a creature-heavy deck. Too mish-mashy and random right now.
