Yeah blood I think I will go, not gonna be too much sleep for me since I get in late sat night but oh wells. If I scrub out I can always hit the tables after Grisel-storm eh? Interesting...I spent a few hours looking into the omniscience grisel deck but...at the end of the day I think I'll stick with something I've actually played, hehe.
Okay, they finally have posted the information for the Clan Contest. This time it's a card creation.
Apparently it's 3 rounds, and is having fun with Innistrad's double faced/transform cards. In round 1 we have to make a Werewolf.
This round, we're keeping it simple. The double faced card concept was created as the answer to the question, "How do we make werewolves awesome?" We saw the answer in Innistrad block, but surely there's more design space to be explored?
1. Your card must be a double faced card.
2. Your card must have the creature type Werewolf on both sides.
Anything else is up to you!
Due by August 2nd, so if anyone has any ideas before that time, post them here!
That's not really playing on the colors, that's playing more on the :symbu:.
Here is my idea, playing off of Blood's. I'm also contemplating the legendary status! LOL
@Blood: Really only one side needs to be legendary if it's 'strong'. Both sides can be though
if both sides are equally as strong.
Creature - Human Werewolf (R)
Whenever Bitten Wizard becomes transformed, return
target creature with a power two or less from your
graveyard to the battlefield.
At the beginning of each upkeep, if no spells were cast
last turn, transform Bitten Wizard.
// Blue Moon Wolf
(:symu:) Legendary Creature - Werewolf
Whenever Blue Moon Wolf becomes transformed, search
your library for up to two instants or sorceries, reveal
them and put them in your hand.
At the beginning of each upkeep, if a player cast two or
more spells last turn, transform Blue Moon Wolf.
Well, I have thought about it for awhile, and noticing a trend, but ultimately I have decided to shut down the Merchants' Guild.
This does not come with an easy mind or perspective, but due to the way things have been going (both on here and IRL), it has become much to difficult to attempt to maintain. I wish I could come up with better news, and I wish that we could have thrived better than what we had, but I cannot foresee it happening beyond what it has.
To all that have been involved, I thank you for your participation, and I will hopefully be doing trades/buys/sells from you again soon, but I believe that the overall recession that happened globally has hit us all pretty good as to not allow a lot of people to afford the luxury of being able to afford to trade/buy/sell (it has me, thus why I had to allow my own thread to get dropped to being archived).
I will still be on here, and I do hope that we are all able to still continue to chat, whether here or on MTGO or otherwise, but I feel this is the best course of action at this time.
Thank you for being a member of the Merchants' Guild and I wish you the best in your endeavors.
