I kinda like the logo we have now, its attractive atleast in my opinion.
flat_head what's your mtgo account. I dont go on there much anymore, mostly to play an edh or mormir. I got cards Im looking to give away, nothing high dollar but nonetheless its free.
oh wow, thanks! yeah, pm me on flathead. I don't normally ask for donations but I would love to help you unburden yourself

LOL...somehow I had a feeling you wouldn't be against it :xd:
I can hardly wait until next month gets here. I'll get some cash to purchase more stuff. I do need to get some colored sleeves though so I can color-sort my cards. *Sigh*
I like the new one, I think it would look cool if you had the flavor text for the Profiteer aswell.
Well let's just keep it simple for now. We're still technically in the 'baby steps' phase, so too many changes to quick could be more of a problem than a benefit.
SPEAKING of which, what's the word from the markets in regards to the price of cards? Any heavy changes?
The buyers are the ones that allow the traders/sellers to continue to do what they do. There is always love for the buyers/traders, but the ones here are ones that spend most of their time trading/selling, thus why we are the Merchants Guild. Mind you that doesn't mean that buyers can't be friends of the Merchants Guild.
I mostly trade online. Right now I'm working on getting more cards. I usually end up buying packs and whatnot from my LGS and then trading off what I don't need/use/have a ton of.
Now as to why I am the guild leader is because I'm good at organization, planning and all that fun stuff. I play on my strong point(s). If you want to talk to the trade/sell experts, then you can talk to either the Chancellors (Juicy_J and jlm) or really any guild member.
@helpmehelpyou - don't worry, I thought buying was a big part of it I do a fair amount of that, hehe.
@psijet, doh I actually block all images at work, but now that I get home, I see it, not bad!
@guild: word on market is that some cards are moving since modern got announced. Which ones? Well, the ones that moved when this past extended season was about to start...
From what I understand of the "Modern" format, the banned/restricted list is extremely small, which will probably have quite a few people playing it more so than Standard.
It will most likely also rack the prices of quite a few cards up by quite a bit, as I am guessing by at least 50% if not more depending on the card, but we'll see if my prediction comes true (as it is currently coming true with 2x SFM being in the Event decks, which I figured would drop to under $15/ea).
modern seems lame to me imho. maybe im biased because i just got all the legacy cards. all the cool cards i just got u cant use in modern except bob.. if someone asked me i'd say- speculate maybe, but not too hard. who knows if there will be tournaments. people wont play it without a prize on the line.
i just picked up a playset of hypergenesis for cheap, and i'm not trading away my shocks if i can't get some value,. maybe ill pick up some more shocks if i can get a good deal. someone wanted a plateau from me and i he didnt have something i wanted so i said i'll do it for 11 shocks he said no, but he thought about it. who knows what would have happened if he made a reasonable offer.

I would agree with you that in order to play it safe and not speculate too hard, just make sure that you act on any reasonable deals for the Ravnica block shock lands. Why?
1) From a selling standpoint, there are many people getting excited about the format. Quality lands always fetch a high premium, not to mention the shocks have room to grow from the average of about $6-7 they've carried for a while now.
2) In terms of trading them, they are easily traded and they're always good to have available because for the players who have been priced out of Legacy due to cards like the original duals, the shocks will solidify their mana bases.
Hey, I'd like to be a friend of the guild. You know I hang out on the IRC a bit, PsiJet, yell at me there [or/and here] if there's anything else I need to do besides declare it.
*edit*
Wait, did I say I wanted to be a friend, or a fiend? What? What's going on?!? What day is it?!? I misplaced my cane!!!

I know I've attempted to nab a few shock lands, but alas have failed (usually due to financial reasons and/or not enough really to trade for even 1 of them without depleting my entire collection), but in regards to Juicy_J's statement, it's very true. The shocks will be rising quite a bit I would wager.
Speaking of trades/sales...I talked with someone who is somewhat known here and I might end up with a ton of commons/uncommons, so if it goes through, I'll have a lot to add to my list (hey, they may be commons/uncommons, but I'll have enough to supplement and warrant higher potential trades!)
@Sam: Nope, that's all you need to say. Just don't forget that you said that. (points to forgetfulness in your list). LOL... I digress though, I just have to tease ya on that!
Psi: if you're in need/want of commons/uncommons I've got a few thousand for you. I'd of course give you a ridiculously good deal Shipping would be slightly painful but I'm reasonably certain I could get a lot into those flat-rate boxes haha. I've purchased at least a case of every set since revised (with the exception of the kamigawa set) so I've got plenty of surplus. Let me know if you're interested
@jlm: Shoot me a PM. I'm sure we could work something out.
@helpmehelpyou: Do you have the have/want tags in your list? Someone here mentioned adding them to help with getting people to view your list and trade! Other than that, your list looks pretty sturdy.
@DigicoolDad: Thanks. We're glad we're doing well too! Always looking for more members, but we take it one step at a time (or in some cases, multiple steps if necessary).
@icemanscion: What?! Who took your JTMS? With his price, I'd start getting my hunting gear ready! LOL
Hey guys (especially Josh, since I know you enjoy foreign cards), I just came across some Japanese packs of New Phyrexia. I only pulled a few interesting cards, but I've got no idea how to price them. I threw a couple of the more notable ones up on my sales list, but if anyone has any insight on what I may be able to get for those, it would be appreciated.
Also, I removed the spoiler tags from my list so that people could search using control + f when browsing through everything. Are there any other things that I should do to make it more appealing to the eye or easier to search? Thanks in advance for any ideas!
@Juicy_J: I know that some people have them sorted using the [ deck ] tags. You could probably use that and see what it looks like. Would suggest to use the Testing Grounds and using just the PREVIEW POST button (since for some odd reason the edit post button isn't working?). As for the pricing of foreign cards, I usually check eBay since I have no idea of any site that really has a listing of foreign card prices.
That's what I do anyway. Speaking of which, I have to revamp mine a bit.
Idk could have been one of four people but now I really feel the urge to quit magic again. I payed $65 of money i barely had for the last Jace and now I really don't want to buy another. Trading for one seems damn near impossible with my cards, as usually people want legacy cards for jace's.
oh wow, thanks! yeah, pm me on flathead. I don't normally ask for donations but I would love to help you unburden yourself

also I see you mention trading/selling alot, but no love for buyers?
buying can be just as profitable, if you know what to buy and when to buy.
PsiJet do you own a card shop or online store? or do you just trade/sell on forums?
