Mark is a nice guy and a good friend, I really enjoy his presence online. (Hope you had a good day wherever you are)
Did you guys pick up your Personal Tutors yet? I bought out the sub $20 where I could. Whether or not it will pan out is not of my concern, it's selling on eBay so I could care less
Wow, I need to check in more often. I definitely missed the boat on Personal Tutor. Ah well, who knows how this Miracle stuff will turn out? I think I'll agree with the people who think it's a bit too much work to be truly worth it.
Is anyone more excited for a possible return to Ravnica than they are about AVR? I know I am (come on, shock reprints)!
Turns out, GamingETC can be added to the list of stores that take back orders on spiked cards. Oh well, I still have a few more sets of Personal Tutor coming in.
And much needed, I sent a few emails today for new AVR arts. That'll hurt
edit: Hey do you guys have a go-to for new product? I'm looking to pick up a couple cases, hopefully in the $80/box range. Every wholesale place I see that has them that low charges killer for shipping, and the places that have free shipping on orders of $XXX or more only have random old stuff.
My go-to for new product is unfortunately just to buy them secondhand, but avr does seem like a good set to try this on. Best of luck Matt, hope you get some goodies!
Yeah, I'm actually looking to start dealing in sealed product again. I picked up my eBay store about a month ago which has been a lot of fun and a financial success, but I miss the days of selling duel decks and booster boxes out of my trunk. ahahaha
Random q guy, suppose you're in a situation where you have a number of some card and for some reason it shoots through the roof and ppl pm you for it b/c it's on your list at the old price. How exactly do you respond to blatant rip attempts?
I had a pm exchange with a guy just yesterday after informing him that I saw the thread on mkt st... and he said "Lol, I never expected you to actually sell me them for that price. I just wanted to know you are aware of the price and adjusted it accordingly. In the slim chance you did not, why not profit instead of someone else."

Yowza! ^^
I would say that you should add a rule to your list stating that all your prices are subject to your review. It may turn some people off, but for people like me, it actually makes me more likely to buy.
In my eyes, it shows that you aren't just trying to dump the cards, but are actually trying to be a responsible, up to date seller
You don't even need to disclaimer in the thread; it's your list, all sales go through you. It goes without saying that prices are subject to change and that you can refuse service to anyone you want, for whatever reason. What is more interesting is the people that contacted you seem to think that even though you have the most extensive sales list on the site, you are dumbfounded when it comes to price fluctuation.
By the way, do you have any Personal Tutors for sale? It's some random card from Portal, like $10 each.
@Dresden: It's your list. You have the right to adjust prices as you see fit. Although keeping on top of the prices is always a big plus, I always double check prices when someone is interested in it!
Yeah, people can be really slimy. I ordered a few sets of Personal with a friend before the spike and while they all did come in, one store sent me a set that was clearly not NM, but closer to EX-/MP. I messaged them and they sent me a partial refund of.... $3. So Top Deck Hobbies is not the best place to buy from.
Also - thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes! I honestly had barely even thought about it considering all the craziness leading up to now, but it was pretty solid. I went to see Converge in Cleveland and they crushed
I like everything in AVR except for Miracle Walk and Hexproof Angel.

The small, local con over the weekend was a success. I ended up coming out with ~$1400 in profit cash-wise, and another few hundred in trade. Pretty good for only having ~30 Magic players in the room at any given time, IMO. I am satisfied.
i dont always play in legacy tournaments, but when i do i prefer to dominate them with belcher. (i'm the most interesting man in the world)
I used to play in Legacy Tournies, until I took a Mishra's Workshop to the deck.
...
Now I play Vintage.
So, I decided to pick myself up the ITA Morningtide as an early Birthday present to myself. I'll post what I crack, but im waiting until I finish my grand organizational project. Needs to be done before AVR hits.
I need to sit down and list everything for my new sale, but the thought of actually doing that is pretty horrifying. That and finding the time is difficult.
On a lighter note, I was able to dump my extra Personal Tutors (had them before the spike) over the weekend for nice prices, so that was a positive.

im in the same boat. my binder has all its value tied up in a handful of large cards that are hard to trade. i just want cash for them so i can buy power or other such raddities.
the contents of the helvault have been spoiled. also unscheduled spoilers have occured. the wizards will not be pleased
Hey guys, question for all of you (which we'll probably vote on), but what do you think our clan title should be? The reason I ask is because we're reaching 100 pages of stuffs!
I also want to attract more people into the clan, so if anyone has any ideas, that'd be great!
Also of note: I know the market has hit a lull (AVR isn't exactly doing it for me 'specially since there are no curses!!!!), but I'm sure we can bounce back.
And to note, I am almost done with my 'project', in which I will give everyone a crack at (of course I can't give information here), but more information will come!
Aries FTW.....
540 Peasant cube- Gold EditionSomething SpicyThat makes 3 people that I know of that have a birthday within a week of mine! Knock it off people!!! LOL

I dunno, I usually go for whatever catches my eye at the time, or if I'm looking to build a specific deck-type to be honest.
