My piano piece is moderately difficult, but not insanely so. One person has posted a video response to my video.
Anyways... since it's the weekend, I figure more people will have time to try their hand at my Name That Tune quiz? (see sig)
(Note: If you do take the quiz, please be sure to click on "Give Up" at the end (or wait until time runs out). The results don't save to the results page if you don't do this.)
Guys, do you know any music that sounds like Pendulum/In Flames' song Self vs. Self? I Really like how that song sounds, it's mix of Dubstep (or whatever it is, I'm not good separating that kind of Genres :p) and Melo Death Metal
By the way, if you want to you can pre-in for my upcoming came (18 Play Large Normal).
Edit: Considering how slow the Large Normal queue has been recently, it will probably be awhile before mine hits sign-ups. I'm second in the line not counting the game currently in sign-ups.
CLT: Pendulum/In Flames - Self vs. Self
It's like a metal DnB remix. I don't know much like it, but I enjoy it a lot.
Might want to check out Enter Shikari -- they are a great electronic and metal fusion.

Ted Maul is a great band that plays a mix of DnB and Death Metal, it's slightly different though.

Are any of you guys fans of Devin Townsend? The more I listen to Deconstruction the more I love it
Deconstruction is pretty good but I find a lot of the songs feeling filler-ish.
I really like some of his albums, like Ocean Machine: Biomech as well as Terria.
CLT: The Secret - Close to Me, Inside My Heart
This is some good metalcore, I guess I'd call it a slightly more metal oriented Converge.
Ah, I see metal is a lot more prevalent among this thread compared to other stuff... it's hard to transcribe metal onto the piano.
PS.
I still need to ask here: Has anyone on here looked at my quiz (in my signature)? People who like music should be able to handle it. If you have a strong interest in music, you should be able to bring the average up.

I haven't checked it out yet, but I certainly will! I like anything to make my brain work.
It's at a local venue. It's a mid-sized "theater."
I'm interested in seeing what a dubstep concert will be like.
That owns, it will be better at a small venue! And his dub is moshier so I would expect a solid tramp around

I'll be playing 6 games of mafia soon, I'm swamped as it is
I am so on the Chiddy Bang bandwagon. Listened to their songs that sampled MGMT & Radiohead (Opposite of Adults & Because, respectively?) and I was hooked.

Glad there's interest.
(My page shows that three people played recently - were any of those from here? Just wondering.)
Remember that CLT I posted yesterday... hint hint...
Anyways, another random question... Who likes my custom title the way it is? I have a different one planned (another one that kinda describes an aurora), also a song lyric reference, but this one is from the same artist as my custom location tag is from. Not many people know of this artist that much though... But I'd prefer something that doesn't give the impression that I am a metalhead (which I am not).
Some of my older friends were talking about a festival called Stereosonic, a bunch of cool DJ's are going!

I then found out its 18+ and was really sad! BUT, its 8 days after my 18th!! AWWW YEEEAAAAH!!
I haven't listened to everything yet, but I heard some long major seventh intervals in some places. It kinda gets dissonant when it goes on for that long.
It could be. Mostly learning through electronical music, my music-theory isn't quite as strong as I'd like it to be. I've been reading a bit up, but there's still a lot to learn.
Then again, the only one that actually uses a real chord-progression is Piano Duet. Amanita Muscaria doesn't have a single chord in it, and Funeral only has chords in a part of it. It could be a pad or something, though, since those tend to strike at multiple frequencies.
I've listened to the first five songs, I can can say you do a pretty good job with them.
It's nice to know that people like it. Soundcloud views aren't very good representative, nor are the comments. People tend to just say nice things, and not comment on parts they don't like. You know, to avoid getting negative feedback themselves.
It's kind of annoying, considering feedback is the reason I joined the site. It's still a nice place to save my tracks to link them around, though.
I'm interested in seeing what a dubstep concert will be like.
If it was in Finland, it'd probably involve a lot of people drinking too much and passing out on the table, completely missing out on the music.
That being said, please forward your experiences. I have issues figuring out how it'd really go. I figure it's sort of like a dance-rave, but not quite. That being said, Dubstep is also practically impossible to dance to, unless you've heard the track 20 times before and are a professional dancer, so I've really got no idea..
I took a listen. I'm not usually a fan of screamed vocals, but I kinda liked the parts that didn't have screaming vocals.
I'm not a huge fan of In Flames myself. When it comes to Death Metal, I prefer Melodic. Haggard is really good, in my opinion. Just Hear for Yourself
That's also a cover from a traditional Swedish folk song, performed by a German melodic death metal band, and sung in Italy. It's worth listening just because of that tidbit of information.
I still need to ask here: Has anyone on here looked at my quiz (in my signature)? People who like music should be able to handle it. If you have a strong interest in music, you should be able to bring the average up.
I probably dropped the average, tbh. I had to quit halfway through.
I'm not very good at remembering the names of the songs, though. I could hum along with most of them, but couldn't remember the name of the song for the life of me. I could've probably tried to type their lyrics to google as I went, though.

I also uploaded another track in Soundcloud. Check it out!. I mean, if you want to, that is..

Melodic death metal - I'm fine with this type. The first part of this reminds me of Amberian Dawn.
You had to quit halfway through? Were there any in the second half you recognized?
The new piece sounds a bit strange, but it keeps me listening. It's quite interesting.
In other news, I went to a Blue Man Group concert... it was quite funny, to say the least.
