Hobbies (other then magic): I really enjoy Philosophy and probably spend a good portion of my life applying it to almost anything I see such as the MTG Color Pie
Random Facts:
Ironically, I am sort of predisposed to some Blue tendencies: My Chinese name, Hai Hai, means "Ocean Ocean" or just "Ocean." I am related to the Chinese Philosopher Zhuangzi, the founder of the Philosophical view of Daoism which ultimately spawned the Daoist religion (which he did not necessarily endorsed). My birth stone is a Sapphire. I am also a student who majors in Philosophy.
Ironically, I am also predisposed to some White tendencies: I am born under the constellation Virgo which represents purity, innocence, and balance (Virgo apparently holds the scales of Libra which represent thoughts and thinking, a Blue quality). My Chinese zodiac is the Horse which means honor and nobility. I happened to be born and raised in the capital of my country, Washington D.C.
I don't regard any of these predispositions on my actual colors though as I do not feel so inclined to believe in something such as a "destiny" existing. I will, however, entertain the notion of there being Determinism.
As a side note, Washington D.C., though a capital of a country (a trait that makes it White), also happens to have been built over a Swamp and the underground metro operates all over the swampy regions of D.C. As such, one can see D.C. as either Black or White or both and may therefore associate Blue because of the present ally colors.
I have several friends who say that I am very Blue (Xanth, I'm looking at you), but am quite skeptical of that idea and claim myself to be White instead. My counterexample to many suggestive claims that I might be Blue and not White as well as claims that White is incapable of complex thinking: Look at Kant.
I've met at least one of the clan members here in real life whether or not the clan members here realized this or not.

How to Become a Member:
If you wish to become a member, simply post here with something relevant and include any answers you wish to provide to the Clan Bio Questionnaire (see above), then you are welcome to request membership. If we deem you worthy, which we most likely will, I will add you to our registrar here as a Probationary Member.
Probationary Membership Period: For 21 days beginning with the requesting of clan membership, you will be placed on a probationary membership status. While a probationary member, you are certainly encouraged to participate in discussion and feel welcomed into our clan. You are also allowed to use our clan banner in your signature (see below) if you so desire. During this time, you will not be able to participate in Clan Votes or represent Clan Mono Blue in Clan Contests.
Full Membership: This is obtained after you have completed your probationary membership period. You are welcome and encouraged to participate in all Clan Votes, to represent Clan Mono Blue in Clan Contests, and to feel extra spiffy.
Here's how to add our banner:
(Now with the ability for the banner to link to this thread by clicking on it thanks to Luminous!)
Simply copy and paste into your banner, without the four asterisks (*):

Idea was found looking into the past useing the time turner to go to egypt. After study have made improvments to device and are ready for testing. Waiting for Slaker to come back to throw him through it. I hope he turns out better then the elf i captured.
Decks UR Delver UB Dredge WB Tokens UR Moderns Storm
Umm... Don't forget Faerie Stompy. It might not be as prevelant now (thanks to sea drakes being so ****ing expensive), but it's still a good deck. And i'll be bringing it back in MN.
Lol - the OP of our new thread is mod-texted. Xanth, man, think befor you act! That makes sort of a bad impression, I mean, if we were some red alligned clan then... ok, impulsive BS, but we ain't red, are we?
Also the order of our memberlist needs to be redone with some sort of pattern, I don't like being directly under Irmis (who has left us?). Further the members should get active for atleast one post to save the clan, 'til we have more truly active people.
I'm not into Legacy but Esperzoa appears interesting in a Fea-Stompy variant built for it.
I'll try to get a linking sig-banner done... need inspiration for artwork.
@Lendritus - 8 card combos are seldom competive (think of Storm and Heartbeat) and what 'the combo' do you mean?
Private Mod Note
():
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Each reality is but the dream of another, and each sleeper a god unknowing.
We define the boundaries of reality; they don't define us.
@Lendritus - 8 card combos are seldom competive (think of Storm and Heartbeat) and what 'the combo' do you mean?
Competitive? Maybe not. But 8 card combos? We're Clan Mono Blue. We make **** like that happen.
In other news, nice new thread. Also, I find the official register highly amusing. What would be more amusing is if the autocards actually linked somewhere.
Lendritus, I notice you have a smaller, harder-to-read version of the banner signature picture in your signature. If you wish to have a larger version, identical to the one in my signature, you can do it by deleting the one in yours, then, in your signature, wherever you want it to show, type the following:
By Jove! I don't read the forums for two hours and I find this amazing new thread:eek:! Excellently done!
*blush* Thanks

This is mainly about countering big problems and overwhelm the foe whit the tokens (mmh...cumber stone, homunculis...?)
Are you proposing discussion of a new blue combo deck? Sounds great to me.
Your first combo looks nifty, but I wouldn't really call it a combo; more so cards that are very synergistic with one another.
The second pool of cards looks really fun for a multiplayer or casual deck, I'd go ahead and throw Pemmin's Aura in there Oh, and Morphling for that matter (Horseshoe Crab's mommy) and Viridian Longbow
Lol - the OP of our new thread is mod-texted. Xanth, man, think befor you act! That makes sort of a bad impression, I mean, if we were some red alligned clan then... ok, impulsive BS, but we ain't red, are we?
Yes, yes, I know. This is my fault I suppose. I thought that posting a reply in a less formal manner right after the main thread post, asking for feedback on the main post, would be legitimate and not count as a "double post". I was apparently wrong, issued an infraction, and the reply was deleted. It very much bothers me, and that moderator text is stuck there, unless I can some how convince the mod to remove it :(. Anyway, moving on...

Alright, good point. Let us discuss this as a clan. Should I keep Irmis and Horseshoe_Hermit removed from the members list until they post here requesting to rejoin? They did voice their dissertion in the prior thread, but it seemed as though Irmis came back to us, hehe. I'm not sure of his intentions, but I suppose you are correct. I would like another's opinion on this matter too though (ideally Irmis's and Horseshoe_Hermit's lol) before making the action of cutting them out of our members list, as I would rather like to avoid alienating two once very-contributing posters in the Mono Blue Clan.
Edit: put them in a new "limbo" section until further notice, I think that should solve our problem adequately for now.

Yes, in Legacy I presume. I remember there being a pretty decent competitive ninja list in a tourney that made top-8 several months ago. Used Thalakos Seer, great with ninjas. Unblockability and cantrip via ninjitsu, then pops right back into play for :symu::symu: or the tap of your AEther Vial
@poppeleseed: would you also like to be a member or friend of the clan?

On constructing a Mono Blue Primer for the Competitive Legacy forum area-
I think the first order of business is to start with a card pool for potential decks of this archetype. Here's ones I can come up with off the top of my head, please feel free to contribute.
Again, feel free to add to this list. Once we get a complete card pool (or as complete as we can get it), we can move on to proposing deck lists (and you are welcome to propose such decklists now too xD), I suppose an ideal primer should provide many various competitive decklists for a given archetype after all.
I'm not into Legacy but Esperzoa appears interesting in a Fea-Stompy variant built for it.
There is a deck that i've seen before, Deep Blue. IBA was working on it on thesource... Described it as "Affinity x Fairy Stompy's Lovechild"
@poppeleseed: would you also like to be a member or friend of the clan?
Membership would be wonderful. I look forward to putting my brainpower towards blue's future domination.
Also... regarding the Faerie Stompy cardpool: Mulldrifter and Sword of Light and Shadow have some kickass synergy. I've been trying to test it's viability, but so far, it's looking good.

Your wish is granted as well, and Mulldrifter & Sword of Light and Shadow sounds like a really neat interaction! Surprised I haven't heard of them before o.o I will add those to the list too.
Edit:
I've been meaning to show these to the clan; I recently got into making card art alterations, it's great fun, and here's the two that I've done so far (naturally, they're blue ;)):
So, we're off to make decks? What kind of decks are we talking about? If I can get an idea on what we want, I can help out.
Also, I hear this Fae/Sea stompy? What be it?
First things first: Xanth and I have become friends over a series of private messages. I have recently gotten an invitation from him to join the Mono Blue Clan. Like everyone else who is a member, I was told to write on topic, and then ask to become a member. This then, is that post. It is a long post, but I think it expresses how I feel about blue, and at the same time, I feel it introduces me to the clan very well.
With that out of the way:
Second thing first: I love Blue. I believe it is only with an extremely high level of love for blue, that these comments can be given.
Wotc needs to admit that Blue is the best color in the game. They need to do it yesterday, not today, not tommorow. Blue has gotten round after round of hate from Wotc, and has very little to show for it. Admit that Blue is the best color, and THEN, ONLY THEN start to phase it out of the game. Retire Blue, give it it's place in a Magic Color Hall of fame, with Honorable Discharge. Retire it, and move on.
As it is, Blue consistently gets cruel and unusual punishment.
If you don't belive me, let me give you just a few examples.
I have been playing Magic since Portal. I would have gotten started a LOT sooner, if only everyone I knew hadn't told me the game was too hard to learn.
[Side note, look at Piracy if you have never seen it. Look at the fun we COULD be having with our favorite color. -- Tell me that isn't a rules nightmare waiting to happen. -- From a starter set no less!]
One of the first "real" cards I remember from Magic is Giant Growth I would bet that this card is on a LOT of people's "First cards I remember" list. Giant growth comes from a cycle of cards called the "Boon" cycle. 3 of something, for 1 colored mana:
Notice how I listed those cards. I am sure we all know what each of these cards do. I listed the cards in order of what cards are still legal. Recall was the first to go. (Growth is all but a given for 2010, and Salve is on life support in type 2)
The cards were supposed to be (somewhat) equal to each other. Yet the hate towards blue has begun. Put another way, Blue begins being the best color in the game this early on.
To be fair, A. Recall is 14+ years old. I'm willing to give Wotc benefit of the doubt here.
There are many examples of Blue hate in Magic. I am sure we can all cite examples. You probably have many more than I have even thought of. However, to keep this post to a (somewhat) manageable size, I will need to fast-forward and land on a few more items.
Starting off in Portal, I missed a lot of GOOD cards (from all colors). I had read about Chronicles, and I even found a few places that still sold chronicles packs. I bought a few. Then, one day, it happened:
Wotc was going to make (Well I guess today we would call it a Duel Deck) a box set of cards from every exapansion availible. a "Dream Team" that would allow you to "Get your hands on history".
Blue got the shaft, again. Blue is NOWHERE to be seen in Anthologies. This could have been the perfect set to have the BEST COLOR show of its BEST CARDS. NO, blue doesn't even get a merfolk of the pearl trident
BLUE GOT NOTHING.
I got over it, ok, for some reason, WOTC had to let a color go. Sure fine. But at the end of the day, you have to ask why Blue was selected. If the official stance is that the color wheel is akin to Rock Paper Scissors, why did the unofficial best color not have a single card in the set?
Temepest came out, and blue got a very, very underated card in Propaganda (If you don't see it, read the Oracle wording, and the Rulings on the link.)
I put Propaganda into my deck nearly as soon as I first saw it. I still get people asking me "2 for EACH creature?!" and I just smile as I tell them yes.
Propaganda lives on. However, it moved to white. Ghostly Prison
The Urzas Saga Block then came out. --Or rather, we got to point where these cards ruled the game
[[Edit: Ok. To be fair, my memory on the "Stroke the Academy" deck is a bit hazy.]]
Great Cards. GREAT cards. Wotc Realized this, and stopped the bleeding.
[Apparently, if you believe in mind over matter, you can do great things, except get this card printed again.]
Blue has always been the color to do things "outside the box". Apparently, Wotc found that blue had too much control. Fine. a MEASURED (within reason) decrease in blue's power is acceptable.
Blue is the ADHD kid that is outsmarting his teacher. He's getting sent to the principal's office on a daily bais. He doesn't play well with others, is always "acting" smart.
What Wotc does next, however, is the start of unacceptable things:
At this point, I'm over the top mad with WOTC. Look at that card. It SCREAMS blue, and yet, it is given, of all things, to RED. TO RED.
Wotc says something about "changing up the color pie". I'm not too sure.
I don't understand how the emo kid outshines the Brainiac.
Emos belong more to the Goth kids (Black) than they belong in the chess team or A/V club.
But, ok Wotc, against my better judgement, I will agree. Letting the Emo kid have his one chance to shine over the brainiac does good to his self esteem. Sure, fine. Whatever.
Wotc should have left enough alone. Did they? NO.
They went ahead and neutered the BEST CARD in the game. (Yes, you hear correctly, the hands down best spell in the game.)
For the love of all things Magic, you do not remove the best thing a beaten down color has to cling on to.
[To continue my above "school" analogy]
Blue is above, and beyond the petty things the other kids do. He doesn't need to know if Red is dating Green, or what White did to Black. He simply does not care. Years of Experience ignoring and rising above, "taking the high road" has shown him how he can simply not get involved in trivial matters.
Wotc goes and detroys this perfect image with the removal (from Type II) of a single card.
The test results came back, and 4 out of the 5 students are failing. Let's not actually help the other 4 students, let's hurt the fifth student, so that it looks like every one is on the same level with each other. Then, after that, we can call a 70 an "A", and give all of our students an A.
Counterspell is more Blue than Fireball was to Red (Note that Fireball seems to be M.I.A. as well, but that's an entirely different situation.)
The only way to beat Counterspell was with another counterspell (notice the lowercse "c" to indicate any card that can counter).
In many ways, Blue was the diamond in the rough. The only thing that beats / cuts a diamond, is another diamond (Counterspell).
However, if you start reducing all that a Diamond has become, you end back up with charcoal.
Blue, you were a diamond once. And now have become charcoal.
Someone of us still remember you as a diamond.
I will do all that I can to restore you to where you once were. In doing so, I accept the invitation into this clan.
-Meeko
Who as of just now, learned that Charcoal Diamond is a Artifact giving Black mana. UGH.
Bravo for putting to words what so many of us have felt.
You mentioned Wild Ricochet. Truly, this card did hurt me deeply as well. It not only redirected, but copied!
But I must admit, the deepest cut was Sarkhan Vol. Why? See that second ability? Yeah.
It steals a creature.
Sure, you might say its just for a turn. But think about this. The first PW to steal a card is Red. Red.
That ability? It was blue. Not red. I wouldnt have minded, if they had just printed a Blue PW with "-2: Steal a creature" first. But this? This was just a slap in the face.
All sadness aside, I find it funny that Blue still remains a force in all competitive formats, even with the endless neutering. Is that sad? Is it something we should be proud of? I guess a bit of both.
Oh my, a rather insightful post! It had never occurred to me that Anthologies included every color except blue.

I definitely agree. For that card to be red, they really ought to have made you choose a new target at random, or something along those lines. As it's rules text is worded, it is perfectly blue.
I agree that blue has been getting the shaft in many ways; this is mostly due to its dominance of the tournament scene. During Type-2 when Counterspell was still legal, they were in the majority of top-8 decks. WOTC doesn't like that, and perhaps we should not like that either. It required most of the decks playing it to be mostly dedicated to blue, as attaining that :symu::symu: early in the game needs a heavy blue manabase. So, as a result, for many players to win or to at least be competitive in that tournament scene, they had to become blue mages, whether or not they were at heart; and that ought to sadden us, who are true blue mages, hehe.
You argue that blue was a diamond; well, it still has Counterspell and a plethora of other wonderful goodies *cough*Force of Will*cough* in Legacy, and in Vintage, well, blue is pretty much a god ;D
And, to take a look at modern day Type 2- blue is still very dominating. Faerie decks are all over the place, and Cryptic Command has become the new Counterspell, which sounds good for a Type-2 scene; I do agree that good old Counterspell was a bit too good for the somewhat slower format of Type-2, but Cryptic Command fits perfectly, and is a rather flavorful blue card to boot.
To continue your analogy, I suppose I would make the following comparisons:
Vintage = Retirement Home (xD)
Legacy = College+
Extended = High School
Type 2 = Middle School
These comparisons are in terms of the card pools available, not the players who play them, hehe.

I love the counterbalance one.
So, we're off to make decks? What kind of decks are we talking about? If I can get an idea on what we want, I can help out.
Also, I hear this Fae/Sea stompy? What be it?
Well, we've got a few neat little pet projects we can work on, on the side here. Those being:
-An official Legacy Primer for Mono Blue Control
-An official Legacy Primer for Faerie/Sea Stompy
the two cardpools in my post on the first page are for these. I figured we ought to make complete cardpools for decks of these two archetypes then go from there.
Everyone, feel free to:
-make additions to those card pools
-propose decklists for those archetypes
-provide any relative write-up for those archetypes that can be included in an official primer
And don't worry, if you have nothing to say about these things, that is fine as well. They are "side projects" I suppose, not the sole purpose of this clan, and you are more than welcomed and encouraged to discuss whatever is on your mind
I'll be working on a preliminary decklist for Faerie/Sea Stompy over the next couple days. Figure I might as well work on something (I've been putting off writing a primer for my deck for the Sally Legacy tourey for weeks now)
Edit: Also that Faerie/Ninja monstrosity that rapes so many people...
Edit 2:
I would also add Inkwell Leviathan, but i don't know if it's REALLY playable in many decks
Vintage players are (from what i hear) replacing Darksteel Colossus with Inkwell Leviathan for their big tinker target. Shroud is huge, and indestructible is less... important in vintage. It slows it down a turn, but at the same time, the Islandwalk makes it unblockable so much.
Just a last consideration: why do they fear counterspell so much??? I KNOW, it's quite the most powerful card in the game but it's also a REACTIVE card:
Agreed on counterspell being a Reactive card. I kinda touched on this in my first post, Blue is owning the other colors. [There is no softer way to put it]
And if you don't believe me, reread the flavor text of Chill
If "sped red" wants to avoid a big fat "No!", it can stop net decking. There are far more cards to Red than just burn and goblins. (Use some of the cards you stole from Blue, we know you have them.)
Reducing Blue to help Red does not actually help Red.
As it is, removal of counterspells allows for NetDecks and Mr.Buckston to simply cut copy and paste the deck of the week. This is NOT how the game should be played.
Anyway. First Post with my New sig up. (I know the sigs are retro-active, but still.) Lendritus, I hope you don't mind, you are in my sig block now. It's not everyday you get called a God.

Two more pieces of un-related business:
1. Do we (As a clan) have a Rumormonger? If Not, can I motion that Meeko take that spot? (Do we have anyone to second it?)
2. What exactly is going on with posting Decks? I can post a Mono blue deck I use..... or is it a given format?
3. Just added:: Do you guys understand my Avatar picture?
Limbo? Honestly, limbo? Not even a friend? I get shoved into a void of nothingness with some random Hermit after all I wonderful service? Why not just slap me in the face too?
Plus Blutsau is a first, nobody has ever complain about being under me before, I am not sure what to say.
Wow Meeko is a wonderful addition to clan, where was he last week?
Poppleseed is ok...I guess.
Hard to tell with all this nothingness around me, Oh I need my own special sorted list, since I am one of a kind.
Heh, I always loved that for :3mana::symu::symu:,I can cast Reins of Power, attack my opponent with his or her creatures, then play Phyrexian Dreadnought, sacrificing all of my opponent's creatures

You are welcome to post whatever you want that has anything to do with, well, anything (but try to stay akin to the clan's nature, if you can), including decks. The request I made earlier, though, is for anyone with competitive Mono Blue Control decklists or Faerie/Sea Stompy decklists to please post those. And I mean competitive, as they would be included in the primers we are slowly devising.
For your third question, I have not seen the symbol before, is it representative of a fraternity?

Hey, you're the one who said "I'm outta here". I could have easily chose to not even list you in the registrar, but I have a heart, and plus, I knew you'd be back
I'll go ahead and swap you back over to the members list, as your response is probably the closest thing I'll get out of you to saying "I want to be a member again!"
Hey, you're the one who said "I'm outta here". I could have easily chose to not even list you in the registrar, but I have a heart, and plus, I knew you'd be back
Well you know what they say, once you go blue you never....... uhm.... uh
So I have been toying around with a premilinary build for Sea Stompy (not sure how it could still be faerie stompy anymore, it only has sower.) With a little more testing, the deck should be up in 2 days, with card explanations.
Sea Stompy This is the SeaStompy deck that I promised. A lot of the ideas were stolen from the old Faerie Stompy days, but there’s also been a lot of progress since back in the day. The sideboard is still a work in progress, but here it is:
The lands: More or less Obvious. Ancient Tomb and City of Traitors offer the acceleration you need to power out early creatures, or chalice of the void. Island and Seat of the Synod are your blue sources. Seat is specifically there for the current SB, which has Trinket Mage.
The creatures: Sea Drake: The errata on this card makes it so you don’t return anything if you have less than 2 lands. Powering something out with… say, Ancient Tomb and Chrome Mox leads to a turn one 4/3 Flier, with no drawbacks. Serendib Efreet: The closest thing to a “Vanilla” beatstick we’re going to find. A 3/4 Flying for 3 works great, it holds equipment well, and dodges Lightning Bolt well. Somnophore and Sower of Temptation: Sower is the new Control Magic for the deck. The upside is that it carries swords. Somnophore is new tech for the deck. Seems easy to overlook, and highly underrated, this card can stop Goyfs, Dreadnoughts, and I’ve even had them hold off Tombstalkers quite well. Mulldrifter: Card Draw on a beater. Can be evoked to work with Sword of Light and Shadow for monstrous card draw.
The Spells: Chrome Mox: Why the **** didn’t I put that up with the lands? Acceleration, that’s about all it is. Umezawa’s Jitte and Sword of Light and Shadow: What helps power through. Sword of Light and Shadow also helps with Mulldrifter recursion for great results. Chalice of the Void: It’s a Chalice Stompy, isn’t it? Dropping Chalice at 1 on the first turn can really hurt a lot of decks. Force of Will and Daze: Because it’s blue.
There are some things that I tried to steer away from while i was building this: Trinket Mage and his toolbox (Engineered Explosives, Tormod's Crypt, and Pithing Needle). I didn't like the idea of further exposing yourself to stifle and having your own Chalice hurt you.
Further Self Mutilation: Psionic Blast. You're already taking a good chunk of damage from Ancient Tomb and Serindib Efreet, and quite frankly, the deck needs threats.
One of the issues that this deck sees is eating itself (just like any chalice stompy). You'll see the games where you mul to 4 and still don't see any lands, and the games where you go: Turn 1 Sea Drake, Turn 2 Sword of Light and Shadow, equip, and swing for 6.
Overall, the deck shows promise, but still could be improved. Thoughts?

One topic of discussion we could address:
I've noticed that over in the Legacy Forum area, there is no current competitive thread on your general Mono Blue Control variants.
Perhaps we could work on that as a group If there's any place for a group project such as that, this would be it
Have any questions or concerns? Come take a dip in my pool.
In no particular order:
-Work on an official Legacy Mono-Blue Control deck thread (primer?)
-Work on an official Legacy Faerie Stompy deck thread (primer?)
I'd love to add some ideas and critique now, but it is very late and I need to sleep! I will certainly later though
I much enjoyed playing a MUC deck a while ago, so I'm glad to see this is being done.
Does anyone think there is a way to make ninjas viable?
Competitive? Maybe not. But 8 card combos? We're Clan Mono Blue. We make **** like that happen.
In other news, nice new thread. Also, I find the official register highly amusing. What would be more amusing is if the autocards actually linked somewhere.

*blush* Thanks
Are you proposing discussion of a new blue combo deck? Sounds great to me.
Your first combo looks nifty, but I wouldn't really call it a combo; more so cards that are very synergistic with one another.
The second pool of cards looks really fun for a multiplayer or casual deck, I'd go ahead and throw Pemmin's Aura in there Oh, and Morphling for that matter (Horseshoe Crab's mommy) and Viridian Longbow
The third pool of cards: replace Alter Reality with Painter's Servant
Greetings and welcome Would you like to become a member or friend of the clan?
Yes, in Legacy I presume. I remember there being a pretty decent competitive ninja list in a tourney that made top-8 several months ago. Used Thalakos Seer, great with ninjas. Unblockability and cantrip via ninjitsu, then pops right back into play for :symu::symu: or the tap of your AEther Vial

On constructing a Mono Blue Primer for the Competitive Legacy forum area-
I think the first order of business is to start with a card pool for potential decks of this archetype. Here's ones I can come up with off the top of my head, please feel free to contribute.
Land Creatures Instants Sorceries Enchantments Artifacts Again, feel free to add to this list. Once we get a complete card pool (or as complete as we can get it), we can move on to proposing deck lists (and you are welcome to propose such decklists now too xD), I suppose an ideal primer should provide many various competitive decklists for a given archetype after all.
Now, the same process for Faerie/Sea Stompy:
Card Pool
Lands Creatures Instants Sorceries
Artifacts Enchantments Alright, fire away *whew that was a long post*
Also, I'd like to be a member.
Alright, added.
And, your wish is granted
Faeries and Ninjas seem to work really well together: Spellstutter Sprite and Cloud of Faeries working with Ninja of the Deep Hours and Mistblade Shinobi... maybe throw in Ornithopter (hey, ninjutsu something in, then replay the thopter), Standstill to help lock the game down. Writ of Passage guarantees that your Shinobi will hit. Disolution has been running a deck like this, I might be able to get his decklist if your interested.
There is a deck that i've seen before, Deep Blue. IBA was working on it on thesource... Described it as "Affinity x Fairy Stompy's Lovechild"
Have any questions or concerns? Come take a dip in my pool.
Your wish is granted as well, and Mulldrifter & Sword of Light and Shadow sounds like a really neat interaction! Surprised I haven't heard of them before o.o I will add those to the list too.

http://www.wizards.com/magic/tcg/productarticle.aspx?x=mtg_tcg_anthologies_productinfo
You know, the block with
Great Cards.
Wild Ricochet
Counterspell

Vintage = Retirement Home (xD)
Legacy = College+
Extended = High School
Type 2 = Middle School
These comparisons are in terms of the card pools available, not the players who play them, hehe.
This cracked me up
A very splendid post. You are most welcomed as a new member *updates registrar*
Edit: Also that Faerie/Ninja monstrosity that rapes so many people...
Edit 2:
Vintage players are (from what i hear) replacing Darksteel Colossus with Inkwell Leviathan for their big tinker target. Shroud is huge, and indestructible is less... important in vintage. It slows it down a turn, but at the same time, the Islandwalk makes it unblockable so much.
Have any questions or concerns? Come take a dip in my pool.
Yeah, I totally forgot about Ray Of Command and Reins of Power getting the shaft.
And to think, I LOVED Reins of Power.
I cast Reins of Power, in response, I tim all of my tims, to each other.
Yes, I did this before, My opponent was relatively new to the game, for him it was a classic WTF?! moment in Magic.

I will remind the fine gentleman that those are his words, and that he does not speak for me.
I have A.D.D. and yes, I believe that "Blue" has it as well.

Plus Blutsau is a first, nobody has ever complain about being under me before, I am not sure what to say.
Wow Meeko is a wonderful addition to clan, where was he last week?
Poppleseed is ok...I guess.
Hard to tell with all this nothingness around me, Oh I need my own special sorted list, since I am one of a kind.
Control is the ultimate expression of power.
A Rumormonger? I suppose we don't, and I suppose you are welcome to, heh, what exactly would be the rumormonger's role?
Good to have you back
Well you know what they say, once you go blue you never....... uhm.... uh

Ouch dude. Seriously.
So I have been toying around with a premilinary build for Sea Stompy (not sure how it could still be faerie stompy anymore, it only has sower.) With a little more testing, the deck should be up in 2 days, with card explanations.
Have any questions or concerns? Come take a dip in my pool.
This is the SeaStompy deck that I promised. A lot of the ideas were stolen from the old Faerie Stompy days, but there’s also been a lot of progress since back in the day. The sideboard is still a work in progress, but here it is:
4 Ancient Tomb
1 Seat of the Synod
9 Island
4 City of Traitors
// Creatures
4 Sea Drake
4 Sower of Temptation
4 Somnophore
4 Serendib Efreet
4 Mulldrifter
4 Chrome Mox
2 Umezawa's Jitte
4 Chalice of the Void
4 Daze
4 Force of Will
4 Sword of Light and Shadow
4 Submerge
1 Engineered Explosives
1 Pithing Needle
1 Tormod's Crypt
4 Trinket Mage
4 Chill
The lands: More or less Obvious.
Ancient Tomb and City of Traitors offer the acceleration you need to power out early creatures, or chalice of the void.
Island and Seat of the Synod are your blue sources. Seat is specifically there for the current SB, which has Trinket Mage.
The creatures:
Sea Drake: The errata on this card makes it so you don’t return anything if you have less than 2 lands.
The Spells:
Chrome Mox: Why the **** didn’t I put that up with the lands? Acceleration, that’s about all it is.
Umezawa’s Jitte and Sword of Light and Shadow: What helps power through. Sword of Light and Shadow also helps with Mulldrifter recursion for great results.
Chalice of the Void: It’s a Chalice Stompy, isn’t it? Dropping Chalice at 1 on the first turn can really hurt a lot of decks.
Force of Will and Daze: Because it’s blue.
There are some things that I tried to steer away from while i was building this:
Trinket Mage and his toolbox (Engineered Explosives, Tormod's Crypt, and Pithing Needle).
Thoughts?
