This was hacked together pretty quickly, but there's not much else to do with this style of deck. The probe takes up spots, but it's actually going to be seriously useful for dodging removal. I don't think I have enough land to support groundswell, but mutagenic growth is pretty good in that spot.
I also think it's kind of poetic to have melira in this deck, if only side.
If you're going to play Unnatural Predation, you really should be playing Ichorclaw Myr. Not sure I'm a fan of it either way though. Also, maybe Apostle's Blessing instead of Gitaxian Probe?

That is an interesting insight. I was thinking that I had never done that before (note that I added assault strobeing it first into the equation), but seeing as I only run 20 lands, I felt the need to go with the safety "mana sources" (meaning beaters that serve dual purpose) #21-24, but I'll check out which is better in testing.
I'll count the number of times that I predate an attacking and blocked plague myr and measure it against the number of times I tap plague myr for mana. I wouldn't be surprised if you were right. Maybe necropede would be better to cut... it's mostly only better defensively.

It's kind of another moment when we throw our hands up and go "DAMMIT universe, why you gotta always make me look bad in front of everyone?".
Looking at the spells you'd want to cast, most of them are pretty damn color-dense anyway. I don't see that colorless mana being worth it.
Oh, hey... Wow, I didn't even think of it like that. Maybe that's why I only tap it for mana when casting or equipping livewire lash. That completely changes my mind on the issue.

So, because I apparently have an affinity for the infect mechanic, here's another. I'm not sure how many of each finisher I should be running, but 4-ofs seem safe as of now.

Thoughts? I'd probably have surgical extraction side, but I personally don't think it's worth having main.
That is too much discard and too much point removal. With that density you're going to run into problems as neither of you may have a useful hand but you'll be much worse at topdecking than they are. I'd say try to find room for 2-4 Ratchet Bomb, 2 Black Sun's Zenith, and 2 Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon. Also, Tezzeret's Gambit is a cool option.
I was thinking black sun's zenith, and that'll easily make my aggro matchup better. Skittles was also an option, and I may add it in place of some of the other finishers. I didn't even think of tezzeret's gambit, but that's a good idea. CA is always good.
So I'm thinking of moving 1 tumble magnet to the side along with 1 each of the discard spells and a contagion clasp, and cutting a doom blade to make room for 2 zeniths and 4 gambits. I may cut a vatmother and move a crusader to make room for skittles.
To avoid spamming the thread with lists, I'll just say that I just saw an awesome infect deck in the top decks column for this week. You should check it out.
I got a foil Coalition Relic today! Also some other cool cards, but Coalition Relics are impossible to find.
Had a GPT for GP Providence. I played the Kuldotha Forgemaster/Goblin Welder deck. Lots of fun, but I have to pull a bunch of cards from my EDH decks when I play it. (Mark of quality right there!) I had the byes from a GPT last month so I let the guy other guy in the finals have them. Split the product, opened awful packs.
Played a 4 player EDH game where 3 of the decks played were mine. Awesome! Also nonsensical. So many good cards! The one person not playing one of my decks was playing Rhys the Redeemed. Kicked Rite of Replication on Massacre Wurm put him to -40 (first player to die).
That looks really fun to play.
But it is sooooooooo out of my budget range...
So you play professionally? What's it like?
If you have Wastelands it's actually really cheap for a legacy deck (no duals, no FoW, no Tarmogoyf, the SoFIs in the board could easily be something else). Problem being that, unlike duals/FoW/Tarmogoyf, the only other deck it shares cards with is stax.
I do not play professionally! I'm not awful but I've never got top 8 at anything bigger than states. I did get most of my legacy stuff before the prices blew up and I never stopped playing since I started (when it was Mirrodin/Onslaught T2). Also, MTG is my only significant expense as I've never made a car payment in my life, never taken a student loan, and computer games are cheap.
Edit: When I was playing the Welder deck yesterday I noticed that one of the Duplicants was foil. Did not know I had a foil one in there! Now Sasaya is 94% foiled. I really should add the thing to Rasputin (it is the Eye of Ugin deck even), but I don't want to cut anything! Also need to add Reiterate to Hazezon Tamar, Gilded Drake to Intet, and THEN make room for NPH cards...
I just like playing FNM and small tournies, school, etc.
I'm also a bit confused... No car? Or did you pay it in full? If you did, I'm very impressed.
I rarely spend money unless I need it, or its magic related, even then I budget myself.
I'm not cheap... I'm frugal.

My math teacher spent (heh) about the equivalent of a day telling us how to do that instead of teaching us about exponential graphs.
I don't have any money to spend on magic... I mostly mooch off of my mom. I'm hoping she gets wastelands to go with the stifles she got a while ago, but I don't think that's happening.

Went to a national qualifier in Vermont yesterday I played Forgemaster control. My friend played boros and my other friend played B/R vamps. I went 1-3 and dropped, but I got some good trades in!! The guy playing boros went 4-2, came in 12th. And my friend playing Vamps went 4-1-1 and came in 4th. He was pissed cause he made a bad play in the top 4 which cost him the 2nd match :/ If you guys want I could have them write up a little match analysis. It was fun 1st bigger tournament I've been to in a while

My first car was $600, my second car was $4000 but paid for with an enlistment bonus, my current car was $1000. Checks written for all of them.
Financially, I'm kind of odd. I am the least financially aware person you'll ever meet and I'm an impulse buyer on top of that. However, I have very few expenses, my standard of living is very easy to maintain, and I keep my spending in check by always asking, "do I have a use for this, and is it a good deal?"
How much for your math teacher my good man?
Mines fun still though because I can play cards with him.
My math teacher never ceases to piss me off. I'm a math person, and I like consistency, so when he's inconsistent (explaining complex roots, etc), I hate it.
