Update 10/13/09 -- Cleaned up the code for the clan thread, edited to show Dragoon26 as the clan rep instead of Seratonin. Changed clunky [url] tags to [thread] tags to clean everything up.
Even when I'm trying to quit the daru+shuko combo as it's usually enough with martyr, I'm still don't have a lot of cards that should go in these decks, thus making it still pretty rogue, but it has good matchups against almost everything (though very long and boring matchups).
EDIT: the title seems so nerdy, not that that is a bad thing.
Oh and you people are welcome to change the front page introduction when we make new threads. That was just something horrible I typed up when this clan was very much inactive.

Asking out a girl is like trying to cast a first turn Necropotence. Sometimes the other player will have the Force of Will to say no. You shouldn't let that stop you from trying it.

The only deck I'm playing right now is Swans [and I'm not even really playing it - no time] without Cryptic Commands and with Wheel of Sun and Moon ... not so rogue.
I bought a pair of JBL Platinum computer speakers for $1 at a Garage Sale!!! They're REALLY AWESOME.
I think my computer setup is done to my satisfaction now [though a second monitor would always be a good thing ... no place to put it really, though].

And they all are extended legal. Although in the extended environment you have deal with some really crazy artifact destruction, like ancient grudge or shattering spree. I hope that helps though Seratonin.

It's really funny that I know what card you are thinking about. That card happens to be my favorite of the ones revealed so far.
I just LOVE this set so far. In between Lord of Exinction and Enigma Sphinx, this set is nothing but awesome. I've been thinking about Meddling Mage, and I like the idea of it coming back more now. Because I play rogue decks, it will be hard for my opponent to know what card to name.
I'll post a deck sometime soon. I want to see what else is in Reborn before I stick to a deck idea. I will post an improved version of the Doran EDH Deck sooner though.

Obviously, we need a 5 color base, and all 10 of the tricolored Dragons, but what else my friends, what else?!

I'm not very fond of the card we got. Five colors is a very big turnoff for me. Frankly I would just try to make a pitch deck with it, but there aren't enough good pitch cards in extended. The only pitch creature is Allosaurus Rider, who pitches too many cards, and doesn't work well in a landless deck (which is what a pitch deck would be).
We should only use one of each dragon card. The scion is tutor so that is all we would need. First of all, I HIGHLY suggest using Bladewing the Risen. Scion puts dragons in your graveyard and Bladewing brings them back. I also suggest Eternal Dragon, but not as highly. The dragon star cycle would also be good. Our opponent plays a spell to kill the scion, so you use his ability to get Keiga, the Tide Star; Yosei, the Morning Star; or Kukosho, the Evening Star (the rest of the cycle is no good). A single Nicol Bolas to cripple the opponent when our guy goes unblocked. Really, taking 7 and discarding your hand can be devastating. A couple Hellkite Overlords, so that when we play the scion, he can attack for 8 that turn. Dragon Mage is also a very good choice. His ability would give us a fresh new hand. Dragon Tyrant swings for twelve, so he would be good too.
I'm thinking it should be a reanimation deck. Teneb, the Harvester and Bladewing the Risen would both be good cards for that. But most of all, I suggest Patriarch's Bidding for that deck. It can return a graveyard full of dragons to play. Possibly including more than one Kukosho (I love Kukosho:love:) That is all for now. I'll post more at a later time, when it isn't at night.
EDIT: It's morning now, so I'll rant more.
Our deck is going to have some serious mana problems. Extended is fast, zoo drops 3/3s and 2/3 for one mana, faeries will counter everything, affinity completely overruns people (not like people play it anymore), Elves combos on turn three or four. So, We NEED acceleration. I suggest Chalice of the Void to slow down fast decks. A chalice for one will COMPLETELY shutdown elves (seriously, I practically lol whenever it happens). Engineered Explosives is also a good choice. Most people will sideboard artifact destruction though. BTW, a Chalice of the void for 1 will not stop a shattering spree. This what would happen, they play shattering spree replicating once. spree triggers the chalice, and chalice counters it. But, the copy is never played, and so it doesn't trigger the chalice, and then it goes boom.

What gametype (Extended, Vintage, Legacy) is this contest built around? I was thinking that we could go with Conflux/Dream Halls to get some big dudes into play fast if we are going with the vintage card pool.

I say no to Jugan. Malfegor is a bit iffy to me also. Why not Hellkite Overlord, Nicol Bolas, or dragon tyrant? They all allow Scion of the Ur-Dragon to swing for cevastating amounts of damage. Overlord for the haste, Nicol Bolas for the hand kill, Dragon Tyrant for the double strike. Maybe Blazing Shoal is a good choice too. Also, Gifts Ungiven?
I think we should probably try to be defensive early game. The only changelings worth playing are Taurean Mauler, which is an automatic 4 of, and chameleon colossus. Some of the cards are iffy, so I put a "?" next to them.
As I said, I just searched up Legendary Dragons.
And the more cards we look up, the more obvious is that we're going to have a lot of self induced discard. I like Malfegor because it doubles as creating reanimation fodder as well as removal. I think we have an awesome late game with the PC wedge Dragons, Scion, and Bladewing. However, we should figure out the relative ammount of cards we want.
With a regular sixty card deck with a fairly high mana curve, and a five color based, we probably want at least 24 lands with 26 creature and 10 other assorted cards. Of course, most of the deck will consist of a dragon style tool box...
Obviously this decklist is pretty bad, but ... err ... you get the idea, right?

Sam, that's a start. We could do a lot better though. Vivids may be useful, although I think that stuff like City of Brass, Gemstone Mine, and Grand Coliseum are a better bet. Either that or we could go with fetches and Shocks, which seems like the popular way to do it these days.

So I don't think come into play dragons work well with Scion of the Ur-Dragon. The Kamigawa, leave play dragons are great though. Yea I admit that this card is hard to build around. But hey, we are ARD, right?

I'm not very fond of the card we got. Five colors is a very big turnoff for me. Frankly I would just try to make a pitch deck with it, but there aren't enough good pitch cards in extended.
We should only use one of each dragon card. The scion is tutor so that is all we would need. First of all, I HIGHLY suggest using Bladewing the Risen. Scion puts dragons in your graveyard and Bladewing brings them back. I also suggest Eternal Dragon, but not as highly. The dragon star cycle would also be good. Our opponent plays a spell to kill the scion, so you use his ability to get Keiga, the Tide Star; Yosei, the Morning Star; or Kukosho, the Evening Star (the rest of the cycle is no good). A single Nicol Bolas to cripple the opponent when our guy goes unblocked. Really, taking 7 and discarding your hand can be devastating. A couple Hellkite Overlords, so that when we play the scion, he can attack for 8 that turn. Dragon Mage is also a very good choice. His ability would give us a fresh new hand. Dragon Tyrant swings for twelve, so he would be good too.
I'm thinking it should be a reanimation deck. Teneb, the Harvester and Bladewing the Risen would both be good cards for that. But most of all, I suggest Patriarch's Bidding for that deck. It can return a graveyard full of dragons to play. Possibly including more than one Kukosho (I love Kukosho:love:) That is all for now. I'll post more at a later time, when it isn't at night.
EDIT: It's morning now, so I'll rant more.
Our deck is going to have some serious mana problems. Extended is fast, zoo drops 3/3s and 2/3 for one mana, faeries will counter everything, affinity completely overruns people (not like people play it anymore), Elves combos on turn three or four. So, We NEED acceleration. I suggest Chalice of the Void to slow down fast decks. A chalice for one will COMPLETELY shutdown elves (seriously, I practically lol whenever it happens). Engineered Explosives is also a good choice. Most people will sideboard artifact destruction though. BTW, a Chalice of the void for 1 will not stop a shattering spree. This what would happen, they play shattering spree replicating once. spree triggers the chalice, and chalice counters it. But, the copy is never played, and so it doesn't trigger the chalice, and then it goes boom.
-is good with Bladewing, the Risen.
-Activates Coalition Victory (This is why I played it in TSP block! :P)
-Can fetch changelings to fetch with the also 5-cc Horde of Notions or with Haakon, Strongald's Scourge.
-Is a 4/4 flyer if all else fails?
-Can play nice in a 5cc reanimator?

Looking at that a renanimation/mana ramp deck with dragons is probably our best bet. I want to keep this focused on dragons and having a toolbox of them will be cool, and the ones I just listed are legendary, so we have room for more. And of course, we need Dragon Soul Knight and Dragonspeaker Shaman for our early game.

This was meant to be posted a while ago, I just didn't hit the post button T_T
What gametype (Extended, Vintage, Legacy) is this contest built around? I was thinking that we could go with Conflux/Dream Halls to get some big dudes into play fast if we are going with the vintage card pool.

Rakdos Pit Dragon, Furnace Whelpand dragon whelp are also dragons that come a bit earlier than average, taurean mauler could be an interesting choice as well. And every time I see Quicksilver dragonthe more I think it would be better to avoid removal.
Also goryo's vengeance is the best reanimator in extended for our deck since it will have so many legendaries.
I say no to Jugan. Malfegor is a bit iffy to me also. Why not Hellkite Overlord, Nicol Bolas, or dragon tyrant? They all allow Scion of the Ur-Dragon to swing for cevastating amounts of damage. Overlord for the haste, Nicol Bolas for the hand kill, Dragon Tyrant for the double strike. Maybe Blazing Shoal is a good choice too. Also, Gifts Ungiven?
Okay for the early game we should use
I think we should probably try to be defensive early game. The only changelings worth playing are Taurean Mauler, which is an automatic 4 of, and chameleon colossus. Some of the cards are iffy, so I put a "?" next to them.
And the more cards we look up, the more obvious is that we're going to have a lot of self induced discard. I like Malfegor because it doubles as creating reanimation fodder as well as removal. I think we have an awesome late game with the PC wedge Dragons, Scion, and Bladewing. However, we should figure out the relative ammount of cards we want.
With a regular sixty card deck with a fairly high mana curve, and a five color based, we probably want at least 24 lands with 26 creature and 10 other assorted cards. Of course, most of the deck will consist of a dragon style tool box...

Sam, that's a start. We could do a lot better though. Vivids may be useful, although I think that stuff like City of Brass, Gemstone Mine, and Grand Coliseum are a better bet. Either that or we could go with fetches and Shocks, which seems like the popular way to do it these days.

So I don't think come into play dragons work well with Scion of the Ur-Dragon. The Kamigawa, leave play dragons are great though. Yea I admit that this card is hard to build around. But hey, we are ARD, right?
