Geth is basically your typical MBC deck, but with the ability to constantly plunder people's graveyards. If you have ways to generate large amounts of mana, Geth can get really out of control because of the slippery slope-like effect that comes when he mills an opponent. I find him good in a developed metagame where he's able to steal CiP creatures like Angel of Despair, mana artifacts that have gotten blown up, and equipment. I love being able to pluck a piece of equipment and strap it to Geth. So many people seem to forget that he has intimidate, which turns his 5/5 frame into a relevant threat for general damage.
Is he competitive, absolutely yes. If you're looking for a cutthroat general that can do really degenerate things though, probably not so much. Geth is good, but not Azami/Zur/Dagsson good.
lol yes. Loved using the Mad Titan in MvC2 even though he was total garbage. The only redeeming factors about Thanos were his above-average supers and his bubble infinite.
Haha, that's awesome! I love that sig, though I'm guessing you're the type of person who keeps an EDH deck for awhile? It would make sense then for your to have a sig for EDH lol

Well good morning to all new and old. It's been awhile since I've been around and I have to apologize. I moved into my own place about a month or so ago and found that my ex wife threw my lap top away so no computer, just random luck that the server at work has decided to let me on here for some damn reason. but It's all good. I'll have to stay posted more regular with my phone for know. which takes me out of playing any mafia......
as for a high mage title I will have to put a little thoght into it. As for the EDH general's currently I have reaper king, zur the enchanter, scion of the ur-dragon also playing around with a zombie geth deck. EDH is the only casual format that me and the clan play otherwise it's all Type 2 or extended (will trying with extended)
EDIT: general consensus of 100 random people has determined that spell manipulation will be my field of study. dismissed
I play a lot of weird and obscure cards in there like Burning Sands and Omen of Fire to really keep people on their toes... and they're devastating at the same time when used effectively.
Also, I got the ratings in for the EDH decks, so we're set there.

Hey, we're glad to see you back. Hopefully when you do get your computer situation sorted out we can be young men play Mafia together again.
(Can you tell I just bought Inception? :cool2:)
Excellent choice for your field. That was my original Apprenticeship when I first joined, and I wish you the best of luck in reviving that noble science.
Personally I don't play much EDH because my collection is rather limited and we only have a few people in the area who really like the format. Instead we cube (T4 or regular) about once a week.
Last night, during my final game of Sealed Cube, my opponent pulled off the sickest series of plays I've ever seen. Using a planeswalker control deck against my mediocre base red deck, at ~5 life vs. my 25 he locked down the board with Elspeth, Knight-Errant before summoning Sorin Markov to join the party and started to kill my small creatures. Liliana Vess and Jace, the Mind Sculptor made appearances as well, stripping my hand of threats like Rorix Bladewing while stocking his with more gas. Then the ridiculous happened. Elspeth, Knight-Errant gave him an indestructibility emblem and Sorin MarkovMindslavered me. I was forced to cast Volcanic Fallout, destroying Murderous Redcap and dealing 2 damage to Jace, the Mind Sculptor. When it persisted, it dealt its damage to my Boggart Ram-Gang, killing it. I was left with no cards in hand and a lowly Wickerbough Elder. At the end of my turn, he cast Fact of Fiction and I was forced to split the piles 5-0 and give him all five cards (two lands, Forbid, Elspeth Tirel, and Jace Beleren...awkward). He untapped, added some more loyalty counters to his staggering force of allies, then passed the turn. I drew Banefire (!!!) but only had five lands, so I animated my Raging Ravine and attacked with two 4/4s. He blocked with an indestructible Soldier token and went to 2 life. He untapped, put me at 10 life with Sorin Markov, activated Liliana Vess's ultimate, and stole my Rorix Bladewing, Boggart Ram-Gang, and Murderous Redcap out of my graveyard. Worst part: If he hadn't killed me that turn, he was dead to my Banefire!
If you remember AI it was also my first apprenticeship as well with it. Hopefully I can do it justice maybe fate will be bold and I can give it proper justice. By the way you could have hit me up to tell me that there was a new thread, I'm probably behind but what happen to Rocker?

Nice tag. However, Wheel of Fate, though less iconic, would have fit your choice of words better. Learn from the Master.
Sorry, I thought you would have checked the last thread and seen that it was closed.
Rocker retired, unfortunately. I'm in charge now. You know what that means...
retired...... you in charge....... great. Now I know I'm going to have to hear about it all the damn time. well then it appears that we came up short in the clan contest. damn i need to be around more. So are there any other problems/concerns/general topics that still are important that i have missed?
By "brand new management", do you possibly mean that everyone's favourite douchewaffle has been dragged back from the edge of insanity, at the beck and call of another old favourite, Weaver?
Well, whether or not any of that is true; and whether or not anyone here couldn't've figured it out before reading those words (perhaps they looked at my avatar and name, afterall :monocle:): Ravus has returned!

one stretched out and victim to a chokehold of the other,
both with big stupid grins spreading across their faces.]

Yes it was I who brought this douchewaffle back to MTGS. I. am. awesome. Bask in the glory(or the shadow of my overwhelming fatness)

I do not accept cookies from strangers, and I certainly don't accept cookies from the kinds of people that I like. No offense intended, of course.
Edit: And "Santore", my new friend: If you stick around the Izzet long enough, you'll find it already is in common use.
...and AI... your snarky jibes at me will yield you no such effect as they once did. I'm sorry, but I think I might have attained a state of enlightenment.

BTW, is that Thanos as Geth in your sig? lol

I just really felt like playing mono brown and from play testing on MWS, he doesn't seem half bad.

So second isn't too shabby on the EDH contest. How do COTY points work? Do we get some for getting second or does only first place get them?
I also play EDH. I have a monoblack deck who can be led by Marrow-Gnawer, Drana, Ob-Nixilis, etc, and an Experiment Kraj deck, and I'm thinking about building Grand Arbiter Augustin IV

After kpaca stole the show in CCMIV I was pretty sure they'd have it all wrapped up.
We'll win next year, though. After all, we have brand new management.
Yeah, we still did pretty well in CCMIV ourselves, but kpaca kinda blew everyone else away.
Indeed we shall.

Hey I was just trying to be nice(
and hope you didn't have an antidote to the neurotoxin)Of course...
EDZ: Lotta ninja's around here...
Indeed. If only we could see them, and guilt them into posting...
...:rollout:
Edit: I almost forgot; Weaver... what was it you needed me for, so urgently? Something I've already missed, no doubt?
It was more than you have been away for awhile, and this clan really needed your douchewaffleness to return to what it was.
