Welcome to the Izzet! Just take a look below to see what our members are posting, and if you feel like you want to get in on the conversation, you can easily join or become a friend!
How to Join
Simply post in our thread. You will be inserted into the test subject pool, which is a sort of temporary membership. If you are inactive for more than a week without prior notice during this period your membership may be nullified. If after a month you have proven to be an active and contributing member to the clan (This should be easy.), you will be promoted to apprentice and become a real member of the clan.
How to become a friend:
If you wish to be a friend, simply make a post (A reason would be nice too or you'll have to deal with an awful pun.) and you will be friendified.
On November 25, 2005, the Izzet clan was founded by the esteemed Masterbeeble with the allure of the new guild coming in Guildpact inspiring the imagination of many members of this forum. When the membership kept growing, it became clear that the U/R color combination was well loved by the MTG Salvation community. Oasis, Canada Man, and Wuffles all took their turns in leading the clan until just before Time Spiral came out.
On August 20, 2006, the clan came near death. Our most active members simply disappeared and the posting crawled to a minimum. Now that Ravnica was old news, the excitement just seemed gone. But thanks to our most dedicated members, the clan was able to return to greatness and holds a strong position to this day, earning Clan of the Year 2008 honors. Clearly, magic players love the allure of the colors blue and red.

When someone expresses a desire to join the clan, they become a test subject. If they maintain active posting habits, they become an apprentice and gain voting privileges becoming a true member of the clan. Whenever someone becomes a member of the clan, that member starts as an Apprentice. In the future, if that member proves him or herself to be valuable, then that member may be promoted to the position of Acolyte when there is an opening, such as when another Acolyte leaves the clan or a new High Mage is promoted. Likewise, an Acolyte can be promoted to the rank of High Mage when either a current High Mage leaves the clan or there are too many members for the system to support without another High Mage. Each High Mage may have at most one Acolyte and one Apprentice.

Stupid manual write up has been tying me down for the last week or so... it's my biggest project of the term since I know for a fact my finals won't be as bad lol.
In any case, I salute the new thread. 2 mana + four turns = 15 mana apparently.
The black splash isn't worth it. I would consolidate this list into a haste/Ooze Garden deck; to that end Sarkhan Vol really kicks the power level up a notch. I built a similar deck that ran both Sarkhan Vol and Sarkhan the Mad to Threaten and sacrifice my opponent's creatures; it never really worked as planned but it was cute.

It was alright, I think it could have been a bit better, but as an overall movie it was decent enough.
I didn't care for the Johnny Depp adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. I think the movie was really weird. Don't get me wrong, I like weird movies but this one was too weird and I couldn't relate to any of the characters. The only one I kind of liked was the bloodhound. He was the only one I could kind of relate to.

I haven't seen it yet but it seems interesting; I may see it once it releases on DVD. I did like the original story quite a bit, but that doesn't necessarily mean that this movie is going to be enjoyable.

EDIT: My latest creatively inspired (A.k.a, terrible) deck idea: (As posted in the deck forum)
Ninja Turtles!
Creatures: 16
4x Hellspark Elemental
3x Ball Lightning
2x Hell's Thunder
3x Bloodhall Ooze
4x Mortician Beetle
Spells: 22
4x Ooze Garden
2x Gelatinous Genesis
2x Stone Idol Trap
4x Bolt
4x Mark of Mutiny
2x Growth Spasm
2x Terminate
2x Blightning
Lands: 22
4x Savage Lands
4x Verdent Catacombs
2x Kazandu Refuge
2x Raging Ravine
4x Forest
4x Mountain
2x Swamp
Any suggestions? It plays pretty well, but slowly. It starts going off around turn 4, and floods the field with Jellies and Slimes.
Typically, play the Elementals, attack, then Sacrifice them to the high and mighty Ooze Garden, spawning 3/3's, 4/4's and 6/6's. On the Defensive, you've got Terminates and the Stone Idol Trap, which helps block and then becomes a 6/6 Ooze when he's used up.
Mark of Mutiny is hilariously effective removal. Not only does it give me your baneslayer as a 6/6 with haste, but it then gives me a 6/6 Ooze while you lose out on your Angel.

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the joboman, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought—
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And as in uffish thought he stood,
The joboman, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! and through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
"And hast thou slain the joboman?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
