Off the top of my head...
Absolutely, positively NO FLAMING! None. Nada. Zip. Zero.
No advertising.
This is a clan, and spamminess can happen, but please keep it to a minimum, or Yukora will have my ouchie bits as a hood ornament.
If you have a question about your Colosseum area, please post it there, mostly because you have a better chance of it getting answered there.
All I ask for admission is that you have some sort of active profile in The Colloseum. After that, just post your interest.
If you ask to be friended, added, or whatever, and I don't, it is not a sleight or an insult. I have the attention span of a gnat, and the memory of a peanut. Throw rocks at me in PM-land, and I'll remedy the situation.
Other than that, have fun!

Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
in the RPG it would read "discard 5 cards". this might possibly be breakable with abuse of flashback or threshold stuff, but until it becomes a problem to the level that skyshroud ranger was, I don't think it's worth banning yet.
EDIT: okay, yeah, that combo'd with bidding could be a problem, but I don't see it being too viable in a player's satchel since those are expensive spells.

That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange eons even death may die.
Nsh we're going to wait for someone to break it so we can ban it costing them gold just to infuriate them...
Joke.
But yeah considering the way One with Nothing works in the RPG... Discarding up to five cards at the start can be brutal for a graveyard oriented satchel. The biggest issue I see is it being used for is cabal ritual acceleration into a sick creature/combo. Still, if you want to break it PM the WPLs with everything that makes the card 'broken'. That will be the primary influence in deciding on it being banned or restricted.

You know what..? I know not why I didn't use One with Nothing when I ran Cabal Rituals. Though, essentially Putrid Imp did the same thing. Meh.
EDIT: @Caex: As I understand, you wouldn't be able to choose which cards to discard. It'd be a random choice based on dice rolls.
Besides. Entomb is banned. If that's banned, then One with Nothing should be insta-banned on the hypothesis that it's the same card but 5x better.
Yes, that is a wicked combo, but a combo that can't be achieved until Zendikar is unlocked which is a ways off. Then there is also Tormod's Crypt as an answer. Still I think One with Nothing should be restricted at the least if not banned with Entomb being restricted if One with Nothing is restricted.

I've never seen discard work like that in the project.
Ah. I see.
I thought, since you can't decide what's in your hand in RL, you can't do that in the RPG as well when it comes down to "discard/remove/reveal/etc. hand" effects. And that if such effect forces you to discard/reveal/remove/etc. your hand, the dice decides what's in your hand.
Half of your satchel would be taken up by a one shot combo that can be countered or graveyard hated. Suitable for Arena combat but piss poor for quests. Then there is the cost of the rares and mythic rares.

The Crypt is a good answer, yes, but it seems a little unfair to force people to buy a single card to stop a crazy combo like One with Nothing + Cabal Ritual + Bidding.
Or with 4x Hypnotic Specter.
Or with 4x Phantasmagorian.
Or with any other creatures, really. It's mostly the fact that you can get up to 5 powerful creatures into play on turn 2 that is scary.

Well the demigod should be legendary or at least it was originally inteded to have been. Just to point out. but your right its to dangerous. Heck why not just ban patriarchs bidding instead and be better for it. One with nothign is less powerful that way.

In all honesty that many creatures on turn 2 is only going to be a problem for level 1 and level 2 mages. Utilizing that satchel with One with Nothing would require the financial capabilities of a level 2 on the verge of level 3. Investment wise a Tormod's crypt or two is cheap compared to the amount of gold that you spend on your many rares not to mention that the crypt is a free cast. There is also the added benefit that the crypt would also effect a lot of satchels out there besides that combo satchel. Pretty good investment that shuts down graveyard combo decks.

Because with One with Nothing, you also could use flashback and madness and threshold and creatures with graveyard abilities.
Mostly, my argument that One with Nothing should be banned is influenced most on the fact that Entomb is already banned. One with Nothing is literally 5x as strong as Entomb.

In other news, I finally posted the pitch for my game. Simplistic system, gonna be real fun. any takers?

The creator of Maro's Magic 8-Ball!
First order of business: One with Nothing should be banned in the RPG. Or I'll break it wide open just to prove my point.

Also, I should get those new clan banners posted -_-'

It was seriously, seriously talked about banning it, but it kinda got lost. but I wholeheartedly agree with you.
[EDIT] Since always. Hell, I lost track of the last thread big time.

I was thinking more along the lines of
T1: Swamp
Remove Demonic Spirit Guide for
Cabal Ritual
One with Nothing pitching 4x Malakir Bloodwitch and a Vampire Nocturnus
T2: Swamp
Cabal Ritual with threshold
Patriarch's Bidding naming vampires.
GG.

Perhaps he's thinking of milling?
@ Nezumi:
With discard, you get to choose what cards you pitch.
With random discard and mill it's decided by dice rolls.

I was wrong, apparently.

Hmm there is also the matter of satchel points.
Assuming no sets being in standard the minimum for this combo when Zendikar becomes available:
1x One with Nothing = 1x (2+1) = 3
2x Cabal Ritual = 2x (.5+1) = 3
4x Malakir Bloodwitch = 4x (2+1) = 12
1x Vampire Nocturnus = 1x (3+.5) = 3.5
1x Patriarch's Bidding = 1x (2+1) = 3
Minimum SP for running this combo = 24.5

Replace the vampires with 3x Demigod of Revenge and 2x Midnight Banshee if you want.
