Welcome to 2010's first Clan of the Year Race Contest!
In the spirit of community + creativity, the first contest is going to be a design-off between the clans to create a graphical banner, to be stuck at the top of the Clan Council thread until we get sick of looking at it!
This is going to be a very open-ended contest, but there are a few important rules to keep in mind:
Your clan will need someone who can photoshop for this contest, so if no one in your clan has the skills +/or software, you are allowed to 'hire' someone from outside your clan for the purpose of peicing together your idea. If you go this route, you will need to show what exactly you presented to the 'chopper so that the judges can verify the effort put forth. We all know Spiderboy4 tears a mean 'chop, so you better be ready to prove you inspired the perspiration et cetera.

On the creative tip, we're looking for a representation of what the Clans forum is about, contains, + strives to be. Visit the active clans. Check out what the Council does. Get a feel for the community we've created here, + how it all comes together. Now distill that into a singular graphic. Easy, right?

If you're signing up, get to work! I think ~3 weeks + we'll shut this down + start the judging.

Ultimately, this is a very subjective contest, so be prepared to take some criticism, + be prepared to give some constructive criticism when voting comes around, but don't get too serious if you can help it! This should be fun, let's make it so

I will point you back to this post you made a few months ago. I do see the case for 'our clan was dying', but I can't honestly see how holding up everyone else for 1 clan is being fair to the other participants.
This is why we voted on it, so it wouldn't be an issue when time pressure was also an issue, + no-one was voting a certain way because it would help/hinder anyone immediately. For the record;

Well. Nevermind then. I was under the impression each clan was supposed to submit a banner to represent them in the council thread... Wish I had found this out earlier than 4 hours prior to the deadline...

Nowhere in the rules do I stipulate you must literally represent clans. It's you're call.
That's Monday-as-it-becomes-Tuesday

When deadline hits, we'll see if we've crossed that 5-clan threshold.
