zwan your sig makes me sad: I'm right-handed and my partner is left-handed. I'm doomed to live out my final decade in solitude.
Well it`s just statistics...who knows, you or your partner might be an outlier in the parabola
Imagine my surprise when i came about a study that says changing the handedness of a child can result in some form of mental trauma and maladjustment...the thing is as a kid, I grew up in a household of right-handed people and for a while I had after school practice sessions writing with my right until they finally gave up.
Never changed though. Still a leftie (in terms of writing) but Im pretty much ambidex with everything else. Im so hardcore leftie that there were times I didnt notice the pencil change hands during those sessions

I like Billy Corgan. Period. I've used everything I could milk from Smashing Pumpkins and his name all that was left when I have to make a new nick was Zwan. Though Zwan's music wasn't so bad either. I even shaved my head once as a tribute to Billy
Oh, good! Another Billy Corgan fan!:D I like you already. And your story was interesting (my favorite color combination is also UB, if that's what you meant).
I don't know if I have to be fully gay to appreciate it, but I don't see anything attractive in DingDong at all. Piolo, on the other hand, is VERY handsome.
And I don't know where people get those statistics from anyway... but I hope you get used to the wordplay. Many of us love innuendos, especially if they're elegantly covered in stretchy disguises.;)
Feel free to PM me anytime if you wish to discuss Billy Corgan or anything related to him. I'd be more than glad to do so!^_^

I'm partial to Piolo myslef BUT Dingdong did get featured regionally (meaning Asia-wide) though on AXN (a prominent SEA cable channel) and was mistaken for another Korean actor, LOL.
And, yup I primarily like the UB combination (I like that it's not really that obvious I like scheming...right?).
Cool, maybe I'll do that sometime starting with what's the latest on BC and the new Pumpkins?

Anyone remember that conversation we had a while back about the Knight + Changeling deck? Reason I ask is because I realized you could play Kentaro the Smiling Cat in that deck to make all your changelings esentially colorless :). He's not a Knight unfortunately but it's still funny to me to be able to play changeling cards for colorless.
Soooo I'm wicked excited. I just finish my first Hot Guy of the Week post! And what's more, it's a double feature!
You boys are all just going to have to wait until the week's over before I can post it! Don't want to post two HGotW's in one week now do I? That'd just be silly.
What's wrong with havingmore men now? Oh that's right, nothing
Also does anyone have any idea how to construct a Pokemon deck? I've got an idea but I need to figure out winning percentages of basics + energy + trainers.
Edit: crap. I've built a pokemon deck but I've fallen into the same problem I've had with a lot of my Magic decks. It's a good engine but it doesn't have a win condition.
Also does anyone have any idea how to construct a Pokemon deck? I've got an idea but I need to figure out winning percentages of basics + energy + trainers.
Back when I played (I stopped just before they introduced the first set with the Gold/Silver Pokemon), it seems the standard ratio was 1:1:1, or 20 Pokemon, 20 Trainers, and 20 Energy. And if I recall, for each evolution card, you should run at least 2 Basics that it can evolve from (so if you have a Raichu and a Dark Raichu, you should run 4 Pikachus). However, like with Magic, this can fluctuate vastly depending on the deck's strategy. For example, Haymakers only ran 12 Basic Pokemon, 18 Energy, and 30 Trainers.
For more specific, up-to-date strategies, check Serebii's forums, I'm sure they have a subsection dedicated to the TCG.
I'm finished college! I have a degree in software engineering!!!!!!!
Congratulations on finishing college! It's always good to hold a degree.
I don't know you though (since I'm new) but it seems things are going quite well

Alright guys (and Bitsy!), I've been storing up these pictures for a while now and I think it's about time that I come out guns ablazin' with my first ever Hot Guy of the Week! This time, I'm actually going to go for two guys who have been in the spotlight for a couple years now as one of the first gay male couples on daytime television. The two men are Van Hansis and Jake Silbermann, but you may know them better by the names of the characters they play on As the World Turns, Luke Snyder and Noah Mayer, aka:
NUKE!!!
For a little background on their characters in the show....
The cute blonde on the right is Van. He play's Luke, the son of Holden and Lily Snyder on the show. He's been on for a few years now, longer than Jake, who was brought in later as a love interest for Van's character. Van's first huge storyline to tackle in his new role was Luke's coming out story (which was surprisingly poignant and realistic for the most part, considering it's a soap opera). For anyone interested, you can watch the episodes on Youtube, from the very first day Van starting playing Luke.
The hottie with a body on the left there is Jake, who plays Noah on the show. Like I said, he was brought in as a love interest for Luke. At first, he was in denial about his homosexuality (even going as far as sleeping with their friend Maddie, a girl! :o), and a pretty big part of Noah's character development and his identity is influenced by his stereotypically hard-lining, military-macho, emasculated father. Noah had strong feelings for Luke since the day they met, however, and eventually on August 17th, 2007 Van and Jake made history when they had the first ever gay male kiss on American daytime television:
To find out more about their relationship on the show, you can also watch the episodes starting with when Luke meets Jake, also on Youtube.
Let's start with my favorite pic of Van, shall we?
Van Hansis
Van is a three-time Emmy nominated, native New-Englander (). He graduated from Carnegie Melon University in '04 with a BFA in Acting, and soon afterwards began his career by starring in the Broadway play The Laramie Project in Pittsburgh. From September '07 to January '08 he appeared in an off Broadway production called Die, Mommie, Die!. He's travelled extensively (Russia and Latin America, just to name a couple places), and says in his spare time he enjoys biking around NYC and teaching himself how to cook.
But enough about his personal life! Bring on the pics!
You gotta give him credit for is his ability to look good in anything from the just-rolled-out-of-bed look to the I'm-a-****ing-supermodel-biatch! look:
BTW: Van + Stubble =
One thing's clear, this boy knows how to work a camera!
I'm waiting for my autographed picture of Van to come in the mail (it should be coming any day now!!!). Eat your hearts out, fellas!
Now, on to Jake!
Jake Silbermann
... can you tell I have a bit of a bias?
I'm a total Jake fan. He's just so dreamy... Anyways, on with the bits of biographic goodness.
Jake is a native New Yorker, and a graduate of the Theater program at Syracuse University. He played a leading role in the small-time '06 film Brunch of the Living Dead, and worked his way up to the big leagues of daytime TV when he joined the cast of ATWT in March of 2007. Because of the hype of his on-screen relationship with Hansis, he attended to GLAAD Media Awards that year, two months before his first episode even aired.
His onair debut was on June 1st, 2007 (his 24th birthday), and he's been comfortably settling into a long-term gig with the show ever since as Luke Snyder's cinematographer hunk of a boyfriend.
He's told reporters that he identifies as straight, but "didn't hesitate for a second" when he found out that his first potential high-profile gig would be playing the role of a gay guy. Let me tell you, though, some of those kisses on the show certainly make it seem like he's.... comfortable with his sexuality....
When some people mention how much of a hunk Jake is, they point to his height, or his blue eyes that make you just melt into a puddle of awestruck awesome, but I point to his unbelievably charming smile:
Ahhhhh.... *melts*
Oh, and did I mention, the guy's a model!
Hubba hubba indeed!
I hope everyone enjoyed meeting Van and Jake as much as I enjoyed introducing them to y'all. Now, I have to bring this HGotW to a screeching halt because it's four o'clock, which means I get to watch my boys acting up a storm in all of their high definition sexiness!
Anybody here knows where i can get the card rendering software?

D_K that was awesome! Very well put together and the photos were adorable. They're my age but they look 18. Is it wrong that I'm very much okay with that?

Of course there's nothing wrong with that. They are definitely wicked cute, especially as a couple (even if it really is only on the television).
Hope everyone cleaned off their keyboards and monitors after that last HGOTW. Barbecue this weekend. Still on a pokemon kick though. I think one of the cards I need for my deck is like 30 bucks -_-. i may have to forego that card.

Beat up a small child and take it. Since I'm a woman I just hypnotize guys with my boobs and they give me cards for free.
Well, Mary and I fly out Saturday for Georgia, gonna spend a whole week there. This trip as been delayed many times, but it's finally happening. I'm gonna meet her family, offically ask her father for his permission to marry his daughter (Mary's idea, they're old-fashion like that, so she thought it would be a good gesture), and Mary's gonna spend some time with her mom planning the wedding; her mom is the oldest of 7 daughters, so she has some exerience in that area.
Hope it all goes well; if I never post again, you'll all know that it didn't.
If only there were local Magic Gaymers that I could offer lewd services to in exchange for cards... or just for kicks...
Don't let peoples straightness keep you from trying to seduce them. My bf tries to seduce pretty much everyone and he succeeds more than you'd think.
Speaking of my bf, I inadvertently offended him the other day. I told him about a difficulty I was having in the sexual arena and he acted like I said he was inadequately skilled. I only told him so I could get his advice on the matter but he acted like a dick about it and I haven't talked to him since then. Should I let him stew for a while or try to talk to him now? I'm sorry I hurt his feelings and tried to express that but it seems I failed.

I'm so the wrong person to give advice about this. I don't read between the lines and take people at face value and am blunt about basically everything. To me if he got offended then it's silly and he needs to come around about it on his own because you didn't do anything wrong. But you should ask someone with a heart

IMO, Let him stew for a while...guys have fragile egos especially in that department. When he finally cools down, treat him with/to something he likes (then interject what you like in the process). Guys (generally) respond to instructions, especially if they are packaged as "fantasies." Play into the male psyche: Primal and challenge-oriented. Nothing builds up a guy's ego more than being able to overcome a challenge/being able to provide something. Just don't forget to express appreciation (throw him a cookie or something :p) when he finally slays the pink woolly mammoth in the room (me and my weird metaphors...).
