That's rough Votan. Glad you've come out of it. I'm fine with you being called s'long as you are active and tell us of any pending hiatuses.

And I guess that I'm a lucky one for the truth of what I know. For my heart had not denied me and I have somewhere to go. I shall never be a prisoner of steel and glass and stone. If I leave, I will return again to my Rocky Mountain home.
Elder Dragon Highlander I think it was. I might be slightly off on that though.
I love the idea of pauper magic. I hate that the format is ruined by some bad rarity choices in early sets though. What I'd really like to see is a pauper format with only cards from 1997 onward being allowed.
Votan, sorry to hear about the sleep thing. I know exactly how you feel, as I'm still battling my own sleep issues. The fact that I've gone almost 6 weeks on a semi-normal schedule (by semi-normal I mean going to sleep anywhere between 9pm and 4am and waking anytime between 4am and noon) is a huge thing for me. Glad to hear that you managed to get yours treated (and, presumably, that you have the health coverage to allow it).
Today I go on my second of three interviews in as many days. I got the job that I interviewed yesterday, but I'm not sure that means as much as I'd like it too. I'm an independent contractor with them, which means that they'll send me clients to tutor as they get them. Each client would only be a few hours a week, though at $22. I have no guarantee of the number of hours I'll be able to get, or even if I'll get any, thus my other interviews (which are for basically the exact same job but with other companies. Hopefully I can land enough ultra-part time irregular work to be able to pay my bills until more permanent jobs open up.

Elder Dragon Highlander sounds right. I played an EDH tourney about a year ago. Who was my general?.. I think it was Tsabo Tavoc. It was a fun format, but I totally butchered my collection trying to build a deck. 100 card deck with no duplicates was rough.
GL on the job front BD. That kinda sucks getting one and not knowing what it'll even do for you.

Are you a pilot or a creator??
I played EDH for a bit, before I quit magic. My store ran tournaments etc, and each general could only be used by one person. I really wanted to be WUG, so my general ended up being Pheldagrif. The format is overrated, I think, but it was a decently fun time.
@Votan: Glad to hear you're doing better. It was weird the way you just vanished.
@JJ: I hate pre-season football too. Everyone gets so hyped up about it, even though it is meaningless. I mean, the Lions were 4-0 in the pre-season last year...
Plus, the only time anything memorable happens in the pre-season is when it's bad(someone gets injured etc). I thought that the regular season would start this weekend, but I guess they pushed it back a week.
On your recommendation JJ I downloaded Coraline. Couldn't get past the first 15 minutes. Too much of it just prevented me from being able to suspend my disbelief. Nothing moved the way it should have and the appearance of most things fell rather deeply into the uncanny valley.
Oh, I got this second job as well. It's only 3-12 hours a week, starting mid October, but it's better than nothing, right?

Ria - So for Ausie Father's Day you got tools to make something for the kid? Seems kinda lame. It's like getting your wife a vaccume for Mothers Day. "Happy Mothers Day, here is something to make you a better mom."
Don't be a stupid head. I got things for Fathers' Day that I wanted, things that let me make the yard more awesome for my little dude. You clearly have no idea what I enjoy about being a father, so, yeah. Way to ignore the important facts; way to miss that I was posting that *I* was glad to receive those things, so like, be happy for me you big dork

Blod knows all the legal channels for borrowing and downloading digital items. It's like when I went on that spending spree in Brunei for dvd's while I was at the mall. Legitimate store with record prices.
I've been wanting to see Coraline simply because of the reputation of the producers. Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride right? I'm thinking I might like 9.

Hey guys, long time no see. Apart from in the batcave, about five minutes ago.
What's been going on around here? All the hilarious details, please.
I'm in my second semester of uni, doin' photography, but you probably already knew that. I've been busy doing shoots, writing essays, cutting, pasting, editing, etc. Plus getting drunk way too much and smoking too much. Yeah, living the high life.
Ordered my new camera yesterday, and bought a ticket to see Fleetwood Mac in December. Everything's going really well at the moment. I'll try to check in more often.
CarlieD, dude, what is up!! Long time bro! (Since late April) I miss the Turkelton avy almost as much as JD would.
Not much new around here, same group of bros we always were. Plus a few and minus more. I can’t remember why you left us. Was it school?
What made you walk into Sally tonight after 4 months?
Ria - I can only imagine and respect your father feelings. I am not a father and I don’t plan to be. I knew you were gonna respond as you did, which is cool. But let me tell you one DAMN thing. If you ever, EVER call me a stupid head or a big dork again; I will go tell my momma. She'll turn off scooby doo and take away your popcicle.
Daggs - The ants quartering the other one is cool! I really like it, but the true sadness of it says I shouldn’t. Just look at his poor ant face. ..Seriously go look, he is like “..Oh ****!”

What's with the suspense? What kind of camera did you get? What's the latest out there? They still using CCD's and junk or did anyone else go the way of Sigma with their prism tech? I hated how the new Canon Rebel is just a glorified point and shoot. Much more capabilities than a point and shoot..but its hybridishness makes me think of moving to Nikon. It'd be serious consideration if I didn't have several canon lenses. That'll trap you into a brand more than loyalty.

Don't be feelin too sorry for her. She's just one of a handful unlucky raider ants that fell in battle. The raider ants were by and large successful and tore those Camponotus a new one. Raider ants are famous for raiding enemy ant nests and stealing all their brood...they then take them home and raise them as their own...the future generation to raid again. The battle was brutal, camponotus seemed wholely unprepared...running around like crazy...recruiting reinforcements to no avail. The raiders were quick and dirty...in and out with ninja finness...seemed to be a steady stream of raiders carrying brood afterwards. Some pitty and sadness might be warrented...but that murdering ***** participated in the erradication of an entire generation. Vengence may be deserved!
Awww....They are soo cute when they are that young....too bad she's being grub napped.
Now if those were the exploding variety of Camponotous it would have been different. Taking no **** from no one...sure I'm dead...but I'm taking all you ****ers to hell with me!
Photo courtesy of National Geographic. (National geographic:...it's been five years...if you haven't published by now then it's your own fault. ...um...please don't sue me?

Holy crap Daggs!! It's been five years since you were in Borneo?!? Goodness, where has the time gone to? I love the ant raids...reminds of the days when I used to sneak over to my girlfriends house in the middle of the night and she'd have to turn off the alarm to let me in...actually it's really nothing like that...but yeah!
Friday and not a payday! I'm both happy and sad for that. I'm gonna go and try to get a couple bucks at the local shop tonight.
We'll see.

Being Global is hard work
I loved the politics envolved, but I never really got to like the modding itself. I wish there was a Policy adviser on MTGS. I'd certainly apply for that job. I think I was the only guy in the world that got along with both Belgareth and Butteblues18 AT THE SAME TIME.
But that's old School. You new kids don't even know what I'm talking about
If you could tolerate Belgareth, you can tolerate anybody.

So I went to this awesome Lego+Star Wars specialty toy shop north of town. . . AUS$69 for Lando Calrissian What the hell, kids! I briefly considered picking up 1 each Han Solo + Random Basketball Player for AUS$12 + just make my own
The clan contest #4 is almost up and ready to go, so get your artistic visions ready and picture take your little hearts out.
