Obviously some things have to be cut for time constraints but I've really enjoyed it so far and it's finally straying on its path of just being a Higurashi 2.0 clone.
Wait, how it could actually be a Higurashi clone? Because I totally don't see it.
Hmm, been pretty quiet here (and yes, me too), but I hope this will end when september strikes. Actually, I don't like that people have more free time in autumn than in summer, but that's life, I guess.
I finally decided to continue watching Seto no Hanayome, and maraphoned it in a week. Damn, I will never understand why did I stall it for half a year. Seriously, that was one of the best series I've ever watched. I wish I had more space in my top 5...
This thread is really buzzing with activity lately, isn't it?
Anyway... just watched Phantom 20. Could they make it any more wrong? Honestly, I doubt. I mean, the first half of an episode was
just a high-school slice of life, and, as soon as the plot went out of hiding, there appeared a certain someone who really shouldn't look as she was looking (I mean, sure, one can change in two years, but... THIS MUCH?)
It seems kinda pointless to drop a show after 20 eps of 26, but that's the only reason I'll watch to the end, it seems.
On the other hand, Umineko turns out simply great. It even gave me a new catchphrase.
Everything I speak in red, would be a complete and utter truth.

You have yet to see the power of gold speech.
Speaking of Umineko, my PC with the game crashed (again), and it seems that I won't be able to read Episode 3 before the series get to it. Well, I guess it can be interesting, too.
I bring you this message on behalf of Clan Contest #4. The contest will begin this Friday, and is currently taking sign-ups. If you are interested in joining, please have your representative let me know by posting in the thread, preferably before Friday
Huh, I thought that we don't participate in Clan Contests at all. Well, maybe next time.
You know, we need to have more active members if we want to stay a clan. And I do, because I have already been a member of a dead clan, and that's depressing. I guess I should PM everyone who have been active this year to make this thread more lively...
So, my favorite Umineko arc have ended, and I'm not that pleased with how it turned out. The Rosa battle is surprisingly short now, "You are incompetent!" got cut, and the witches' tea party is almost nonexistant. I guess I'll pass watching it until my PC gets fixed and I can continue reading it.
Bakemonogatari, on the other hand, gets even better with each episode, and even *gasp* gets good action scenes! Pity that Nadeko arc is that short, but that gives more time to the last one.
I would be more active but honestly my current situation prohibits me from watching too much anime at the moment, and there hasnt been that many good ecchi or comedy shows lately.
that being said im surprised at some of the manga that has been coming out lately very good stuff like Bakuman or even Nephilim John, been reading a lot lately and i cant say im dissapointed... oh and I have finally grown sick and tired of the Naruto manga... its becoming way too short and drawn out

Well, you can still discuss anime without watching it. It's not like we discuss only ongoing series here, right?
Speaking of manga, have you read Karakuri Circus? I've read around 8 chapters of it so far, and I'm not sure about reading more of it. It looks like a typical shounen with a couple of twists so far, but I heard that it turns into some kind of seinen lately...

No, havent really read this one, I'm still trying to get back into Saint Seiya: Lost Canvas... you know knowing the end kinda tends to spoil things in some cases

I'll be frank; I haven't been tracking much anime lately (lack of room on my drives to get episodes any more, plus a workload of epic proportions). I have managed to finish episode 3 of Umineko (the VN, mind you), and I was rather blown away.
As for the animated end to the second arc, I agreed it was much less brilliant than it could have been. It made me, for the first time, appreciate reading the VN (as prior I had little time and thought it a chore to keep reading nonsensical backstory). As it stands, I severely doubt DEEN's capability of matching the epic-ness of arc 3, but they better damn well try to make it work. Here's to "Move III-I, Castling."
*sigh* Time to go and find a cheap/good deal on an external hard drive...

OHAI!
So, I guess, yeah, I've been busy looking for work lately, and being out-and-about in real life Japan.
Recently I went to a ceremony in Kurama to honor the samurai Yo$hitsune Minamoto, aka Ushiwakamaru. He was said to have been instructed in the sword arts by a Tengu. Hence, the tengu-related stuff here.
As for anime, I've been trying to follow a few... Honestly, I've got a book I'm reading right now that is absorbing more of my attention. I just recently picked up Battle Programmer Shirase (AWESOME if you understand even a smidgen about programming... so hilarious) and Genius Party, which I haven't watched yet but am looking forward to. As far as mainstream TV series, I plan to eventually catch up on Bakemonogatari, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Canaan, FullMetal 2, Spice and Wolf 2, and Basara... But heck, I've still got old stuff like Someday's Dreamers 2 to finish, so... who knows when that'll happen.
Anyway, I'm still here, and I'll try to keep this place alive and afloat a bit more. I'm sorry for letting it slide a bit.
That tengu stuff reminds me of Oboro Muramasa. Have anyone played that already? It was released in English recently, and it's totally beautiful. Even if you don't have Wii, you should at least check out the videos on youtube or something.
Yeah, I remember them saying something like "Actually, the sprites are twice as big as they are in the game, we just made them smaller so Wii could handle it." Still, I don't even have a PS3... But I do hope I get one by this New Year.
Speaking of Muramasa, it seems that the time has come for me to buy my first visual novel. Just because I can't resist the glorious wooden box and other bonuses of Fullmetal Daemon Muramasa (Limited Edition). Now, how can I order something on Japanese online shops? And how much will it cost to ship it to Russia? And is it even possible to ship it to Russia?
//And yes, both my avvy and my banner are made of my hype for it.
So... I said I'm gonna try to bump up the activity around here, right?
New thread, new thing to watch and discuss, and new Anime of the Week all coming soon. Today, I'm going to the Osaka Aquarium with some friends. When I come back, I'll work on this stuff.
