Pizza = fail for me considering I'm vegan. Actually, sub the cheese for soy cheese, use wheat crust, throw some veggies on there and presto! Vegan food = WIN!
I don't think mealstorm pulse is that bad. Its like Vindicate but with can't hit lands. (this actually is a huge deal) However, it does have the ability to 2 for 1. How busted would it be if it didn't have the drawback of not hitting lands? Blow up all your islands? The real problem with the card is that it doesn't have a home. Sure I guess dark bant would absolutely loooooove another 3 drop. Is that deck any good anyways? (Haven't tested with or against this deck at all yet)
EDIT: I am an idiot, this card does have a home and it is called 5 color control.
A card I do think is overrated is Lavalanche. Not only is it a sorcery, but its 3 and x, 3 different colors. Banefire is way better than this card, even in jund ramp. This card costs more and is begging to get countered vs. fae. Its too slow to play vs. aggro decks and control really doesn't care about you killing their creatures.
Overrated or not, so far (aside from the obv. Meddling Mage) my two favorite cards are Lavalanche (which I swear Jund Ramp will use in some capacity), and Maelstrom Pulse.

Both great cards. I'm planning to use Lavalance in my Ramp deck as at least a two of, but we'll see how many in the final build. I'm also really pumped about THought Hemmorhage.
Only problem with the card is I will have to get more than 4 >.>. Because I run 5cc and my brother is playing Blightning :argh:.
I hope they don't get expensive (I know they will )
That sucks. I know the feeling though. I have to do stuff like that all the time, except instead of a brother, its two dead-beat friends who are to lazy to buy their own ****. Now I must rant because I brought it up and frustrated myself. Currently, my friend wants me to buy him a playset of Knight of the White Orchid when I get mine for my lark deck so he can trade me all of his usless jank for it and when I want actual money for the cards or good rares, he gets angry. Same holds true for my only Jace. He always gets upset because I'm not using it and he wants me to trade to him for his Master Transmuter deck but I wont because 1)Its in M10 and 2)he has nothing of value. Then he went and built Blightning and began bugging me for all my blightning stuff (becuase I built it first) and he got mad when I wouldnt trade the stuff to him because I had the deck built for myself. The worse was that he didn't even recognize the deck as even existing. I ony played it every week for like 3 months....

Sorry to Commandeer a conversation in the Izzet for my own needs, but i needed to rant.

Its only one person who does that, and he's the one who invites his girlfriend everytime we have a "guys night out" and he gets pissed when I don't have room in my car. Then all night he pouts like a 4 year old.
I have been telling him to get his own stuff, but he's one of those people who says things like "Your just being greedy and selfish. You can only play one deck at a time and you have stuff for a bunch". It makes no sense to me.
So how 'bout them spoilers? Everyone's bashing on the posts because they need to play limited [Seriously, the best format ever. (Where they will be ****ing awesome)]. And the Maelstrom pulse? O-VER-RAT-ED (Like the Giants). It's a shame I won't open any until after the hype dies down, because it'll be so easy to profit for those who do open them early. I just wish underrated chase rares were easier to spot.
I saw Garruk as soon as he was spoiled, but before I could even accumulate my fourth, he skyrocketed.
A friend of mine collected seventy-two Tarmogoyfs before it was even past $2.oo! I was upset whence he cashed in.

That is exactly what happened with me and Garruk Wildspeaker. 3 Garruk was fine though for ElfRock, which I played at the time. But the biggest problem was the same thing happened to me with Bitterblossom and I never got a 4th.
A friend of mine collected seventy-two Tarmogoyfs before it was even past $2.oo! I was upset whence he cashed in.
Wh-what! Thats amazing! I had two and traded mine just before they went up. I could kick myself.

It has potential. We'll see how it impacts Extended though.

I foolishly sold all but one (Cube-Garruk) instantly. I should've waited. I'm not a very patient person.

If any of it's potential plays out, you're taking nigh-infinite turns early on!
...Actually, let me quick go reread it to verify, but my memory says "awesome".
Edit: "Sacrifice"... alright, but it's still pretty do-able... just not that quickly...

Meddling Mage will definitely be used in both Standard and Extended, like it has been whenever it's ever been legal.
I think that the proposed list of UW Tokens by Feldman is a little rough, but that it's a good example of the types of decks it will be used by in the coming months. It's important to remember that even if you name a sweeper (Fallout) and they have to Terror (or more likely Terminate) it in order to Fallout, you're still making them match your resources 1:1 (assuming you had say, Mage and Spectral Procession and hadn't overextended).
Echoing Vindicate will almost surely be used by a number of decks, like 5CC (for it's ability to deal with Planeswalkers), GB(/w[/u]) midrange decks (Elves, Doran, Dark Bant variations) and ramp decks (for it's swiss army knife capabilities).
i don't know how these cards well these cards will synergize with something like Time Sieve and, even more, how the color pairs would work. It seems that the deck that that would most effectively abuse Time Sieve would be U/B/R or W/U/B.
Time Sieve: Unless T2 gets a artifact Token generator thats cheep and good this card is extended and vintige only
Medling Mage: Is being over hyped. Decks are running 2 to 3 differnt removel spells. He wont live long enough unless im missing something.
Money Cards: I must be a lucky one i got 4 Thought sieze, Cryptic, and Bitterblossom when Lorawyn came out. Fae ftw! sry to hear bout the rest of your missfortune.

To those who like Lavalanche: I am telling you, this is one of those cards that does more than one thing, but doesn't do any one thing very well. It is a terribly, terribly slow and very expensive sweeper against aggro decks. Honestly, play Volcanic Fallout instead. Fallout is an instant, and it is uncounterable. Not to mention, it only costs 3. You want it for the fireball effect? Play Banefire. Do I need to explain why Banefire is better than Lavalanche at burning the dome? Trust me, the ability to both sweep and fireball and opponent may sound appealing, but this card does neither of them well.
Meddling Mage: Nobody can deny this is a great card. Just don't go wrecking your mana base to splash blue or white for it. Decks that can already support its colors will use it. Especially Esper Lark.
Ilvaldi: By rigged do you mean its going to extremely good? Maybe, not sure if 5 artifacts is too steep of a cost. Only testing will tell on that one.
Sir Auron25: I am sorry; I know what its like to have mooch friends. The people I play magic with are cool. We share, borrow and give cards with ease. It isn't a problem because everyone does it equally so its and equal give/take. I did have some mooch friends in high school though. I spent more money buying my friend's lunches than my own. It gets to the point where enough is enough, and you have to tell your friend that. Also, girlfriend on guys night is a no no, unless it was OK'd by everyone beforehand. Speaking of girlfriends and mooches, there are two things that go hand in hand.
Ravus: Its cool, asterisks don't hurt...much.
Niv: I did the same with Faeries. I bought Bitterblossom from someone for $3 :D. However, I traded my Tarmogoyfs when they were around $8-$10. I was excited they went up and I thought they would stay there. Impatience leads to these faces

For the most part all of which you said is true. But the deck that will be using Lavalanche is a mana ramp deck, which can have 7-8 mana on turn 4 if need be.
And i'm not saying it should replace Fallout, because in that deck you should be playing both, probably in a 4 (Fallout)/2 (Lavalanche) ratio.
Psi: I gotta agree with you there. As bad as Lavalanches mana cost is they will run 2 at least for testing and certin metas. if nothing else its SB material.

I guess it just comes down to opinion. I wont bash anyone for playing the card. It just seems like you would never get the full effect out of the card. Against aggro, the burn to the done doesn't matter considering Jund is taking the control position in that matchup, hence an expensive sweep. Against control, what creatures do they have for you to sweep, hence an expensive blaze?
Psi: I gotta agree with you there. As bad as Lavalanches mana cost is they will run 2 at least for testing and certin metas. if nothing else its SB material.
I don't think its any good out of the board considering it really isn't a specialized card. I don't really see any matchup where this would come in. Its kind of a main deck or not all all card.
One merit I will give to the card, only in jund ramp, is that it would be a tremendous topdeck late in the game when both people are in topdeck mode and they are winning on the board. It could turn the game around from a mana flooded hand.

Lavalanche: I look forward to opening this card at the prerelease and in subsequent drafts, but it's only good until I take apart my limited deck. It isn't symmetrical after all, just very very selfish. Then my buddy Nick will run Jund Ramp at a PTQ and 1-2 drop.
Mooch Friends: You can guess what my answer would be to this problem... DRAFT. When you have a group of people who always draft at least once a week, you'll usually be able to build two of every deck.
Of course, having a backpack dealer for a friend who lets you loan infinite cards doesn't hurt either.
