A coffeehouse.There'd be poetry nights, live music, amateur night, etc.There are all kinds of things to do in my area if you like bars and stuff, but nothing for teetotalers. I think that there is a need for something like that in my community.

Obviously you don't play receiver. I play wideout and cornerback and playing in the snow is BRUTAL. Not only is the ball slippery and impossible to catch but the ones you do manage to catch hurt SO much on the frozen fingers. It's also really hard to make good cuts in the snow, but it's fun at times to slide around in. When I play QB in a pickup game, I love the snow, though. haha, as you might be able to tell I'm kind of a big football nerd
I usually play corner/safety and Quarterback. I am a ball-hawker, and if my high school's football coach wasn't so sexist, I'd be able to play in a formal setting. As it is, I school all of those guys. Playing in the snow does make it harder to hold onto the ball and whatnot, but I'll always have a found spot in my heart for it, mostly because of the rules we used when we played.;)

Well, the coach had offered to let me try out for kicker, but I found it damned insulting when I knew that I was tougher and more talented than just about every guy on the team.
I mostly play pick-up games, but each summer, there is a group of people who get an actual football tournament together. This year, the team I was on came in fourth, but last year, we won it all. And yes, QB and Safety takes a good amount of awareness. You also have to be confident as a son-of-a-*****. The hardest part about those positions (especially QB), at least for me, is letting your mistakes just roll off your back. I'm a perfectionist, so it always used to bug me a lot when I'd throw interceptions and whatnot.

@Kraj. One of my very best friends live about 30-40 miles west of me, I think. She moves a lot, so she may not be there anymore.

I just got into M:tG a little over a year ago, but I had considered playing it since I was about 8 or 9. (I'm 13 now. I can't believe it took me that long to actually start playing!)
I like deckbuilding, designing cards, drawing, music, reading and writing, playing video games, watching cartoons (both Saturday Morning stuff and anime)... things of that nature basically.
-glances at menu- Chocolate milk...chocolate milkshakes...hot chocolate...chocolate cake!! I think I'm in heaven.
Snow-hio. Huh... I'll agree with that. I spent the first 23 years of my life in a little-known spot on the map called "Gallipolis", just a spit across the river from West Virginia. We got a lot more rain than snow, but in winter, our driveway was still covered enough that we'd have to walk up at least once a year. It made for some beautiful scenery and a heck of a good time sledding, building forts, and making snow angels, though.
Now that I've moved across the great western pond, I still get lots of snow in the winter. Sadly, I have no private space outside whatsoever. My front door quite literally opens onto pavement and a street corner. I can still go to the local park and build snowmen, though. Strangely enough, I didn't bring any heavy snow clothes when I flew in in January, so I suppose I'll have to get some for this winter. It's not a proper winter if you don't make a snowman, after all.
A "welcome back" also goes out to LittleDragon. Good to see you around once more, my friend from Britain. And to Omna - I'm glad to hear that you're getting along well with your potential love interest.

@DarkNight. In a word, yes. The coffeehouse acts as an Overclan, I think the word is. It's not a real clan, so you can be in another clan and this one as well. I think the Gaymers is the same way, but I'm not sure if I read it correctly. Any other more established members can correct me if I'm wrong.
