I would like to add my voice to the silliness of the 40% netdeck rule. I'm sure intentions were good but this contest is supposed to be about cool design, so that's all we should be judging it on (NOT on power/playability). So let people net deck, an if they do they get crappy scores from the other clans who are all like "you are an unoriginal netdecking bastard and this contest is about interesting deck design. I refuse to vote for you."
Agreed, wamyc is a netdecking bastard. However he raises a good point, we could just have the punishment be that they won't get votes from other clans.

Alright, I'm retconning the whole 40% thing, because my intention is so much simpler and since this is apparently such a big issue.
We don't want netdecks. It'll screw up the power curve for the Tournament/Deck Auction. It reduces the ammount of creativity/design involved, it's just bad form. However, since putting a numerical value seems to be a bad idea, this is my 'suggested' fix.
Build your deck as normal. Have as much fun, etc. But, when you submit it, the Reps and our EXT Liaison are going to carefully stem over the designs and DQ net decks. So, our criteria for interclan voting reduces to Thematics, and power level is thrown out the window.
But my point stands: Do not netdeck, lest you feel the wrath of angry Reps (hyperbole). There's NO MORE numerical value. It'll be obvious is someone throws Epochrasite in Affinity, Godsire in Naya Zoo, Jaya Ballard in RDW, and that's really what I wanted to avoid.
Use your common sense and everything will work out.

You REALLY won't have to worry about the bolded, but I do have to ask another question: The deck that we're working on utilizes 3 Godsires, but he is not really the win condition, just a guy that fits the design well (if you need more info feel free to run over to my clan and check out the list). Is this alright?
Is this deck allowed to have Alara Reborn in it? It will be Extended legal at the end of next week....before the tourney begins. We do have the full spoiler for the set.
What does everyone think?

I'm for allowing it to be used...we do have the full spoiler, and the teams should add the cards right now at their own risk. If a card changes between the unofficial and the official spoiler than they can just take it out.
Is there a patch out for ARB on MWS yet? Do we intend to play our decks against each other on MWS? When is each clan's decklist due for final submission, and is this progress report due tomorrow (?) just to show what we've accomplished thus far, or is it a final report, and is it to be posted in this thread?
So we at the CALLED have two proto-types put together. We are utilizing getting Epocrasite in and out of play quickly. I waiting for my boys to throw in some tweeks to the deck.
All is going fairly well for the CALLED!

Just checking in to let everyone know that we have two deck ideas going right now, one utilizing Godsire and Greater Good and then one list wanting to utilize the cascade spells in ARB along with Hypergenesis.
Sure, stuff like Snapping Drake and Goblin Piker are for limited. But Null isn't even playable against a 5 year old whose hand consists of a 6 of Clubs, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Chimney Imp, and a very large cumquat.
Since our rep seems to be a tad AWOL at this momment I'll go ahead and post the update for The Æsir. We're building various Jaya Ballard, Task Mage decks revolving around her first ability and Painter's Servant.
I, like GiftsTrix, am posting in lieu of our Clan Rep.
Our current deck idea is a relatively straightforward UB Ninja tempo deck.
I'll let wamyc comment on whether we want ARB to be allowed in the card pool.

I too am for ARB cards being included.
[The Family] is against the use of ARB, because we don't need those cards to help our deck.

ARD is having fun with Legendary Dragons and other crazy effects.
And we still need a few more people to help sway the ARB issue. It's currently 4-1.
