We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.
Whoa. That must really be a contradiction in terms.
Listening now: The latest Nickelback album. I'm not really liking it yet.
1.) It's not a contradiction if you read my post! It was awesome because of how easy it was.
2.) Not surprised. Nickelback has never been all that astounding, even to those that like stuff very similar. But I'll admit to liking the occasional song of theirs.

Huh, it seems the level of rapidity this thread gained pages drastically slowed down after all the chaff got in to say "me friend?!" (that's not to say there isn't still a hefty amount of posting, however.). Makes it easier--and more tolerable--for me to keep up.
Also, just because I like the smily... :monty:
Edit: Hard tests of any variety are truly awesome. Knowledge is (potential) power.

I laugh at you all. I went to a Math and Science magnet school. On average I had 300 problems of homework a week in it. And I'm not talking ******** problems. Oh well.
Now I get to go to easy ass public school!

If you're in a magnet school, shouldn't you be ahead? In NY, Alg 2 is a "junior" class (taken by a lot of sophomores)
Currently listening to some Sinead O'connor stuff on youtube that a guy on another board had linked to. Some of it is pretty good others, kind of meh.

I'm in year 2 of Calc, but we had to take a review test. That was half of why it was super easy.
I took Algebra 2, Pre Calc BC, and a full Trig course as a sophomore. I took my first year of Calc in the last second semester.

I'm not, currently. I transfered schools mid semester.
I was taking Anatomy and Physiology, but my current one doesn't offer that. So I'm waitnig until next semester, then I'll be taking 3 elective sciences. (Don't remember which ones, other than Oceanography.)
Has anyone here listened to The Sound of Animals Fighting?
I laughed a bit at that one. I haven't but I'll go over and check them out, assuming I can find them on YouTube.
For those of you hardcore Metal Fans: Blood Has Been Shed. It's a band. Check it out. Howard Jones is their frontman (he's the frontman for Killswitch Engage.)

Hmm, I've got to check that out. Hopefully it's harder than Killswitch. Then again, I listen to metal for the guitar riffs, not the singing.

You like it hard?
Ehemm.
They are harder, but sadly their best work cannot be found on YouTube, that I see. I suggest you find it elsewhere... I know a few places that sell CD's really cheap, it's a big list... if you want it PM me.
Here we get grades from 1 to 10, where 10 is the best. I'm good at maths, but I'm kinda lazy, so my marks this term were 9, 8.5, 5, 10, 3, 10, 10.
Ridiculous, believe me
Anybody knows In This Moment?
They're melodic metalcore.
They have a female singer.
She is hot.
And she screams.
If you like Arch Enemy, and you want something better, here's Prayers.
Check it out
The words "better than Arch Enemy" mean very little to me, as I loathe Arch Enemy. Something about the fact that she sounds a lot like a guy threw me off. And I don't think the music itself is very good. It's too wild, not enough melodic. I need melody, and a crap ton of it. So...basically...I'll check out that band, but I still despise Arch Enemy.
Only 20 posts overnight? There's no fun, it's too easy :DHere we get grades from 1 to 10, where 10 is the best. I'm good at maths, but I'm kinda lazy, so my marks this term were 9, 8.5, 5, 10, 3, 10, 10.

I'm a math major, so I would hope that I'm ok at math lol...I want to teach high school algebra, but I have a really tough time with calculus for some reason...
How is everybody this morning, btw?
Oh and George, your description of In This Moment's female singer...priceless...just priceless!!
Heh, I don't even know if I'm going to go to college. I actually want to open a Card/Sports store. If it works I want to put in a book store and coffee shop adjacent to it. We'll see, though. Hopefully it works out.

P.S. If you don't know Killswitch you should, they're awesome...and a half.

Well notches, I used to go to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, but I had a problem with the extremely large class sizes...(my Calc I class had 350 people, and I had the WORST rated UIUC professor on ratemyprofessors.com) so now I'm going to Kankakee Community College.
As for not going to college man, the only advice I can give you is that you can ALWAYS open the store, but getting that college degree first is going to help you out in so many ways. Hell, the guy that ran the shop where I used to play FNM before he sold it was also the Principal of the town's high school. He just had to close the store because it was kinda messing up his time with his family. Its your life man, but I had the same dream as you, and I still plan on obtaining it, but I'm going to wait until my teaching job starts paying a pretty decent amount.
You know what was an awesome ipod when it came to holding up to dropping (or at least mine was) was the mini. Loved my little blue one.

Algebra 2 review. In and out (I came in after I was done with classes to make it up), in about fifteen minutes. I got 105. I love bonus questions.
Whew. I've been trading up a storm, and adding music to my iPod.
I'm so excited to have a new one!

Nice, but I assume from your age that you're a junior, so shouldn't you be in Precalc if you're good at math? I'm a sophomore in Algebra 2 right now.
