There's nothing wrong with sounding like a Ron Paul supporter, considering that RP was, far and away, the best candidate this time around. Too bad he got screwed because of the two party system.
@Yuk: RE is dead on accurate here. If you think otherwise, to put it simply, you are a fool.
I can't help but agree with a bit of what RE is saying. I do have to argue about the loan thingy though. The last thing any company wants an American citizen to do is declare bankruptcy. When a "customer" does that the bank has no choice but to loose out on that money. Banks are doing everything possible to work with existing clients to get the outstanding loans paid....no matter how long it takes. I've spoken to my lenders and they have been bending over backwards to work out things with me since I lost my job. They want a commitment that you are going to make good on your account. If you take to the time call them and tell them your situation, they will work with you. The market is falling because of fear. The market is just reacting to what some speculator thinks will be the future scenario. They did the same thing with oil and look at what that got them. Less demand....lower prices. I'm not saying the this is what will happen to the market soon....I am saying that the reliance on speculators is going to force them to re-evaluate the current structure of things. SOmetimes something like this is good. Americans.....hell world wide....people got out of hand with credit and borrowing. Now we are all paying for it.
A shake up is good......the election will settle things more than people think. It won't be immediate....but it will happen.
EDS: Further on though.....the cool thing I have been hearing lately is that people are really pissed that the $700 billion dollar thingy passed and they didn't want it. I didn't want it. I want to see these rich jack-offs get what they deserve for letting their company tank. The golden parachutte of these fat cats should not be filled with the money that I earned (while I worked that is). The biggest change we can make right now is to vote the incumbents out of office in congress. I realize the next flight of jerks that come in probably won't do any better, so we vote them out too. Sooner or later someone will get the hint.

Ok, I won't argue too much here, because I tend to agree with a lot of it.
My terse attitude before stemmed from his Debate thread where, essentially, he was referring to American soldiers as murderers. Some of the guys I went to high school with are over there, and I refuse to allow someone to call them murderers when they're the ones being shot at first.
They haven't shot kids in their sleep. If I am fool for saying that, then so be it. I do know better.
P.S. I hate the bail out as much as any other good American.

It's no more frustrating today that a 3rd party candidate cannot be taken seriously than it was 8 years ago when me + my mob of naive friends towed our support of Ralph Nader. The US isn't ready yet, + it may have to get worse before it can get better. You know a boat that big can't turn on a dime, so stop expecting it to. Juggernauts must attack each turn if able! Chris, that's not the worst thing that could happen to you. It's not even the worst thing that could happen to you regarding your debt. The worst would probably be the credit companies feeling the financial crunch, and calling in your debt. That means that you'd have to pay everything you owe, immediately, or go declare bankruptcy.
That would probably make me sigh in relief more than anything. It’s the struggle of making good on my debt that’s been frustrating and stressing me…Honesty and good to your word, and all that jazz. If they were to make this impossible by demanding their money up front or even increase the APR beyond my means...well, then I'll say "screw you" and declare bankruptcy. What are they going to do? I don't own anything worth anything. My most expensive possessions are my computer, camera, and I-pod in that order and they’ve depreciated quite a bit (My car is in my dad’s name and I can Geocash everything else). I can live with bad credit and bankruptcy for seven years, like the average American in this day and age. I’ve worked my ass off to make good on my debt, never paid late and always more than the minimum…but if that’s not enough and they decide to cripple me. Well then they won’t get their money back. I’ll make sure to charge a dentist visit on my credit before Bankruptcy. That’s sticking it to the man.
Regarding McCain and Obama, first let me say isn't it funny how … they're the only two options? everyone knows that There are many other options for president, it's just that none of them get ANY media attention, so nobody even knows they exist.
Fixed
Yeah there are other options. You’d have to be an idiot to not know that there are other options. There’s a candidate for the green party, libertarian party, native American party, and the dozens of other parties out there. None of them have a remote chance in hell so nobody pays any attention to them so their names aren’t even known. But we know they are out there.
And don’t even pretend that those other folk have a chance. Even if the media was fair and all the people had equal debate air time most Americans will still vote either republican or democrat because that’s all they know. A third party vote right now is throwing your vote away…(or giving Bush the presidency). Sure you would love that to not be the case but if you want your voice to matter then you better vote for either Obama or McCain and you better hope you live in a Swing state. Voting Obama in Utah is about as effective as writing Ron Paul in on the presidential ticket.
As for the Scathing diatribe against the US….Well those are accurate points, though many interpreted from a more extreme perspective. I don’t think we’re 60th but I’m not happy with the direction of where our nation has gone. Not sure if anything I do can help, as far as voting or voicing my opinions or whatever, so I think I’ll complain, sit tight, and hope things get better.

Oh man, nothing like the first swim of the season
Orlando was having so much fun, I think he was ready to defect to the merfolk colony We came out of the water so he could warm up, didn't like that, no sir! He finally accepted that it was ok to warm up a bit, savaged some sand, then made a run back for the water. What a guy!!
Bought a copy of Revolver today for $20, turned out to be a second Australian Parlophone pressing from 1972! What a pleasant surprise.
I'm going to a gig tonight! Going to see The Boat People + Nikko. Will be fun, really looking forward to seeing Nikko, wanted to see them for a long time.

2) Kurt is a German (Post) Hardcore/Noise Rock band formed in 1994. Kurt takes the musical principles of melody and harmony and rips them to shreds. This is noise and this is rock – driving bass beats, crisp and loud guitars, pounding drums and powerful vocals.
I had the first album on cassette r.i.p.
It's screamo, basically.
It's quiet in clan-land. Brian's post is a full 24 hours old. Not only that, but the whole clan forum is quiet. This thread hadn't slipped down very far.
Anyway, happy thanksgiving to anyone else from Canadia eh?
Yeah, it is pretty quiet in here. Not much to talk about really. Shards is pretty cool. But it may be to little to late. Until the rest of the block comes out it is gonna be meh.

I strongly dislike Tomato soup. Just a red pastey soup with not much else. Especially when it sits for a little bit and it gets that skin on it. Might as well drink tomato juice which is meh, and forget about red eye's, worst drink ever. Despite this, for some reason when I eat grilled chease sandwhiches I crave tomato soup to dip the sandwhich in. I've no idea why.
Same with pickles. I don't hate them or dislike them, I just don't bother getting them because its never on the top of my list. But whenever I make a tuna fish sandwhich I have to have pickles. Relish will work too.
I also need Tuna for my Mac and Cheese. They just go together and I feel like I'm missing something if I'm deprived of such a combo.
Tuna is my new best friend. Doesn't need refrigeration and is reletively cheap. Wonder if it'll work in ramen like it does in macaroni and cheese.

Yeah, I know its a double post. Might be my last post for a bit though. I wanted to leave with a moment of Zen.
So it’s finally come to pass. My job is over with and with it my government housing. They gave me three days…three days ago. Of course I knew this would happen, always happens…seems all I’m good for, but despite months of job hunts I’ve got nothing. No list of jobs or anything. All I get are notices that I don’t qualify for the jobs I want, and I can’t fix that cause the professors get chased away by my low GPA. Only thing I can think of is parking my car down by a river somewhere and hope a job comes by before I go insane. Bah, at least now I qualify to be a motivational speaker.
So I’ve got nothing, am homeless and unemployed with no prospects. Family is 2700 miles away, too far to drive…plus I’d hate to be a mooch and the last thing in the world I want is to go crawling back to my parents (Nick is 2300 miles away…still too far…) Got some distant relatives out here but I’d hate to bother them, especially since I’ve maybe met them twice in my life. Nice to know I’ve amounted to soo much. *Wallows in self-depreciating Despair, anguish, and other emotionally sad emo stuff* :gonk::(:frown::suckup::suckup::swear::crying::crying::banghead::sneakybread::crying:
Or
Transition time! Happens with the seasonal lifestyle. Usually I’m able to take full advantage of this time, Hiking up and down Borneo, Tokyo & Osaka, and Southern Utah. The last two times I was unable to do this. Having to dog-sit between BLM and Godaddy and having no time to explore between the drive of Arizona to North Carolina. This time will be different, I made sure that most of the jobs I applied for had my availability date in November. Sure if I get one I’ll jump on it, doesn’t mean I can’t play in the meantime.
You all know I’m Erratic, that my game plan changes frequently day by day, hour by hour. But here’s the gist of it. I’ll head south to Charleston, South Carolina, where I’ve got relations I’ve rarely had a chance to visit. After a day or so there I’ll head NorthWest, past Columbia until I hit the Appalachians. I’ll hike several mountains in the area then head north to the tallest mountain East of the Mississippi, can’t miss that. I may head to the Tennessee side of some of those mountains, plus I’ve got some friends in Tennessee that I might could visit. Dux your one of those :). From there some North East driving along the Appalachians and eventually I’ll be kiddycorner from Washington DC where I can walk the National Mall and see the Smithsonian. I think JJ lives just north of there somewhere too plus it wouldn’t bee to big of a hop to PA where chris lives.
Can’t remember if anyone else lives in the general region.
That’s a mouthful on my plate and I know I won’t be able to do it all, but I’ve got the will and am always up for adventure. I’ve got the funds saved up to survive and I have even budgeted myself 800 miles worth of gas a week. So I think the basics of my plan is very doable for a month or two or three.
As for where I’ll live during this time. Well, I know some would call me homeless but as long as I’ve got a sky over my head and ground to sleep on I’m always at home. There are plenty of national forests between here and there, no matter where I choose to go.
A side effect of this is that I’ll be on a stricter hiatus from you all. I’ll try to access the internet at least twice a week, I’m still studying for my GRE and applying for jobs and professor searching, but that may not be possible at all times.
See ya’ll later.
Oh, and if you live in the region I’m exploring and want to meet up P.M me with your contact info. Dux, I still have yours.

Dude, you should know, the glass is always full. It's just not always full of water.
Also, gas prices are currently down, so it's not the worst time to be driving around if you've got to drive around sometime.
I think Seds and Jonski are over there somewhere, aren't they? And Robynne, but that's across the 49th, and she's not in the clan anymore. She's still hot though, trust me.

LOVE our clan contest entry, another one IN THE BAG, right? Looks to be a lot of late entries or no shows, which is promising going into the heavy-participation-needed Mafia game
The rat is pretty good. Not for the contest, really..... heh. But overall, I love it. Dead rats are funny inherantly, and your commentary made it even better. Sammy laughed her guts out.
Yes! Truth be told, the photos I took are too high-res; I made myself ill looking at them. Why is its bum blown out? The world is wrong x_x
So do we still have a Cyan + a Diggy for the Mafia Contest? I'll be putting up the sign-up thread when voting is happening for the current contest. . .
That was teh BOMBtastic rat! I laughed really hard. The fact that you carried it around and put it in different places an poses is what I got out of it. Looks like something i would do. I'm sorry I didn't go further into the story but I lost my job and all....you guys know. I'm honestly not shocked Mike disappeared after his suggestion and insistence we use his stuff. Whatever.....that's Mike....bike and all!
I have an interview on Thursday.....I really hope it goes well. They do a lot of work with a client that I'm VERY familiar with.....I hope it goes well. I'm going to practice my interviewing skills with the wife.
I'm watching True Blood on HBO and I really love it. Vampires in everyday society. The blood of vampires being used as a drug by non-vamps. They call it "V".:p The fact that it's on HBO just makes it all the better. They came out of the "coffin" after the advent of a synthetic "blood beer" called Tru-Blood. I also watch Sons of Anarchy on FX. That is the best channel for dramas. Last season of The Shield.....jonny is sad!:(
gonna grab me a 6-pack of Tru-Blood and head out of town.

*Wallows in self-depreciating Despair, anguish, and other emotionally sad emo stuff*

Or
Transition time!

Take Care, I'll be back when I can.

For my heart had not denied me and I have somewhere to go.

Also, gas prices are currently down, so it's not the worst time to be driving around if you've got to drive around sometime.
I think Seds and Jonski are over there somewhere, aren't they? And Robynne, but that's across the 49th, and she's not in the clan anymore. She's still hot though, trust me.
* rancored_elf wants grilled cheese sandwhiches now too *
LOVE our clan contest entry, another one IN THE BAG, right? Looks to be a lot of late entries or no shows, which is promising going into the heavy-participation-needed Mafia game
Anyway, I hereby claim the word "zacly" as my own, and will use it and allow others to use it. If you don't know what it means, just say it out loud.
*wonders what ever happened to BD, is not surprised SP MIA'd what with mafia hosting + all*
So do we still have a Cyan + a Diggy for the Mafia Contest? I'll be putting up the sign-up thread when voting is happening for the current contest. . .
