So we have been talking about DUX's new R/G aggro deck. He's torn about how aggro he wants to go. So far it seems pretty tight. Daggs has been checking in from his barrier island home as often as possible. His adventures searching for turtles and bird nests have been quiet interesting reads...at least for me. Daron rolled back into the thread with a barrage of awesome pictures from his trip to the cabin last weekend. Brian is painting and working less to spend time with his nubb. Yuks is the new graduate with honors....sir....and is spending way too much time snoggin his new squeeze. Cubers chimed in for the first time in a long time and it was nice to see that he's still among the living...we even got some words from his lady!:unibrow: Sedds posted for the first time in ages and is working waaaayyyy too much. BD came by a few times to discuss the work load of school he ahs elected to burden himself with....and ti seems there is no end in sight. Laika and Travis are still not posting here, but we have heard from Travis during our last clan contest.....WHICH WE WON!! *****es!!:D:D SP(Chris) has been around more often...seeing his shining aura is like the sun rising for the first time!:p ChuckD's been in and out but has come down with a case of acting a lot...and rapping.....YEEeeaaahhh Boooiiiiyyyyyyy! "Base...how low can you go? Death row? What a brotha know. Once agian, back is the incredible, Rhyme-animal, the incredible...D! Public Enemy number one!" And then it's been really nice to have Nick post something more than his one line remarks....LOVE YA NICK!!;) Finally....JJ has been working way to much! He almost quit over the weekend though...........I got 4 of the 6 numbers in the weekend's Megamillions Drawing. Won $150 but if I woulda got one more number it woulda been $10,000 and 2 more numbers would have been $196 million!!!:o:o:o

To continue the conversation from the other thread...
Cyan, this Crystal Chronicles game has...ridiculous replay value.
If you can get hooked into the gameplay, which is not like any other existing Final Fantasy game, (Think Simcity meets Final Fantasy...sort of) you will want to play the game more than once. There is a new game + and you can play the first time without the addons to the game...as I am doing, and then going back and adding more stuff to it to play again.
At any rate, it was only 15 bucks, and all the relevant optional addons add up to another 15 bucks, so it was well worth it.
They are still making and releasing addons to the game, and there is nothing that prevents them from updating the game entirely.

I haven't been able to get much for my Wii. I still need to grab a couple more controllers. Sedd...do have a Nintendo Wifi connector or do you have a wireless network in your house? I haven't played too much with mine and could use a little help getting the addons to games.
I love my Wii....I'm still stuck on Guitar Hero III....but we finally get Rockband in a month!!!

I am not a Wii person myself. Call me old fasioned but I like to sit on my ass and kill people. Not stand and swing my arms to bonce a ball around or bowl (playing kid games). Granted I am bias being a PS3 guy. ...And then there is the fact that i've never played a Wii too..
I have to say this deck is very good. Even though it is block, it could still hold it's own in T2 imo. It is smash-mouth aggro and I can't wait to kill some people with it next Fri. night! Bramblewood Paragon is the perfect addition to this deck. I thought about your idea Cyan of adding Imperious Perfect, and while I am sure it'd be good, it dosen't fit the aggro nature of the deck. Bramblewood Paragon makes everything bigger and better ..and with Trample!! Tattermunge Maniac, Boggart Ram-Gang, Chameleon Colossus, Mutavault even down to the Giant Warrior token created by Giantbaiting. And if I happen to have out a Boartusk Liege, then Giantbaiting gets an extra +2/+2 (Not to mention I can Conspire!). And I don't have to tell you a 5/5 to 7/7 Hasting Trampler for :2mana::symrg: is nothing to turn your head at! I have tested it some on MWS and it really seems to get the jobber done!
Add that onto the fact that you could conspire two of your smaller creatures to create a second 7/7 hasted trampler for no additional cost....makes that little spell a biatch to deal with!
* jonnyjonski goes to his cards and tatters around with stuffs!

How are mutavaults working for you? I have a similar but different R/G aggro deck myself, and I have no colorless sources so I can reliably cast Javelin and the other heavy color requirement spells.
If you are playing the deck as a T2 deck, do NOT run Tarfire. Run Shock. Tarfire just buffs opposing 'Goyfs.
I don't know about Giantbaiting. I haven't tested it too heavily, but I would rather the standard combination Mogg Fanatics and Keldon Mauraders to fill my slots in this deck.
+4 Rift Bolt
+4 Incinerate
+4 Mogg Fanatic
+4 Keldon Mauraders
+4 Quirion Dryad
+2 ???? (A rolling slot of two one-ofs, because I don't like Garruk in here)

I have Rock Band(bought it for Faith in March for her birthday, at her insistence)..it's a ton of fun. All of the girls love it.
Wait, isn't that the game that you, telina, and I played forever? The game that I rarely, if ever, saw the girls play? ...and yes, its an awsome game.
My last week on the island was awsome. beautiful productive days filled with work and relaxation. People always tell me how great the island is and how nice it is to get away from it all. Thats when I smile knowing what people are trying to get away from is my job.
This is a picture of how fast the beach changes. That little dropoff of about two feet or more was not there two days ago. It was a nice smooth beach. Now me, driving over 30mph in an ATV, can be suprised by this and survive. though I'd prefer to dodge it. A truck with a heavy camper should avoid it at all costs, which is what a guy who went flying off it wished he had done. Didn't break any axels, but his camper poped out of his truck and crashed back down on it. Not good
This is the threatened Oystercatcher. when we were first talking about them I thought we were talking about some sort of comercial fishman that only catches oysters. Probably ranks up there with my question of "what is a sound." They still like me though. This little guy is threatened and in danger of becoming endangered. So I have to moniter it and make sure they do good. So no, I have not eaten any of those delicious eggs.
Can you see the eggs in this picture? They are right over there. *points* And some wonder how I can be out there every day on over 19 miles of beach and who knows how many acres of land and have a hard time finding eggs.
This is just a typical sunset here at the Northcore banks. Nothing spectacular due to no clouds or anything. But nice to see just the same.
One last thing before I go. Nick, fix the color tones on your blasted computer screen. You've got one of the best damn computer screens I've ever seen (never even knew they made them that big) and all my pictures turn out dark and crappy on it. It pained me then and it pains me now!!!!!
Grrrrrrrrrr
Cheers all,

Seds - This is strictly a Lorwyn/Shadowmoor block deck for an upcoming tourney. It was a very similar T2 deck running BoP, Incinerate, Fanatic and Tarmo. I like this deck so much, I don't know what I am gonna do when the block tourney is over. Probly replace Tarfire with Fanatic, Lash Out with Incinerate and idk what else. Tarmo might not make the cut. The synergy around Warriors excels the Aggro aspect of the deck. I was skeptical about Giantbaiting until I saw frist-hand how well it works in this deck. Boartusk Liege and Bramblewood Paragon make Giantbaiting a HOUSE. Not to mention if they are both in play you can Conspire them and make another Giant Warrior token while keeping their effects = 2x 7/7 Trampling Hasters for :2mana::symrg:! But this isn't all the deck has to offer. That combination aside, it is still an Aggro deck. 1st turn = Tarefire/Maniac, 2nd turn = Lash Out/Paragon, 3rd turn = Javelin/Ram-Gang/Giantbaiting, 4th turn = Colossus/Liege/Garruk.. Every game I have tested, this deck has held my oppo on the defensive from turn 1. Sold yet?
Oh, and the Mutavaults have never hurt. Never know when I might need to untap 2 lands with garruk and attack with a 'Vault.
Daggs - BEAUTIFUL pics man! I am with JJ, I want to be there too.

Wow, Daggs, those pictures are kick ass. I envy you greatly.

What can you guys tell me with your experiences with the next-gen consoles?
Thanks to everyone that wished me a happy birthday. I ended up going to dinner and a movie with Kristen and spending the night over there. All-in-all, it was a great day.

I stand by my PS3. It is a computer as well as a gaming system. If you have a wireless connection it automaticly connects and you can browse the web from your PS3. PSN(Play Station Network) and online play is free, where I believe you have to pay for Xbox Network. You can DL games and video's from youtube and save them on your HD. You can DL wallpaper from wizards.com and use it as your background. I have Damnation on my PS3! The only thing I don't like about the PS3 is the lack of good games. I like RPG's and it seems like all they make are shooting games. I mainly use mine for DVD and Blueray despite having 10-11 games. Anyway, that's my spill. Take what you will from it.

I've had a box that played pong, an atari, nintendo, and Playstation. My brother bought an X-box but we only played halo on it. Worth the game. I'm currently waiting for Playstation 4 to come out. Failing that, I'll purchase a PS3 when I get a house, tv, and some stability.
I hope ya'll know that I wasn't really mad at Nick. I left the internet cafe yesterday thinking that maybe I over did it. Still, those pics are all going to be dark and stuff over there.
I never went on that hike that I mentioned despite a beautiful day. I ended up playing Heroes of might and magic V yesterday, started around 3PM, but it was a particularly difficult scenario. I had to load up the map after combat so many times that it was to the point of ridiculousness. To make matters worse I let the scenario get ahead of me. The game would randomly generate several low level creatures on the map every week unless I destroy a certain location as a secondary quest. I didn't bother and after a few months those random creatures became more than I or the computer enemy could handle. Ended up passing the turn over and over just to get my weekly growth. Thank the gods those random characters topped out at 4000. Finaly went to bed 5am and decided against the hiking. :-p
I'm glad you all like the pictures. I'll probably try to get more next week. I got plenty of books to keep me company on rainy days, but it looks like this week is going to be perfect so I'll be fishing. Boss even came the other day and installed satalite. I'm not sure if he got it working but I might go back to the island with more than a few fuzzy channels. And they call this the backcountry....right. :-p
See you all next week.
Cheers,
Daggertooth

Quote from Clan Contest »
Round 3
Using the two cards you just received, design a non-permanent spell this round. The spell needs to be an uncommon instant or sorcery that would support the two creatures if they were all in the same deck. It must be a different color and it must be monocolor. The power level should be appropriate for a decent but not "must have" uncommon. The spell should assist the strategy of a deck that is trying to win with the two creatures with an effect(s) that feels very on-color for the color the spell is.
Based on these cards;
Shauku's Familiar :symb::symb:
Creature - Snake (R)
Provoke
:symb::symb:, Pay 2 life: Return Shauku's Familiar from your graveyard to play. It gains haste. Sacrifice it at end of turn. Two fangs, a thousand deaths.
2/1
:3mana::symb::symb:, Pay 3 life: Return Shauku’s Grunt from your graveyard to play. It gains first strike. Sacrifice it at end of turn. “Even in death, they still serve.” — Shauku, Endbringer.

Great job Ria! ..Even for a slap-jack Aussie prick.
I did pretty good at FNM last night. I can't seem to shake playing each time we draft. Smother to Simthereens is just to good. And I drafted a Maniac, Ram-Gang and a Javelin too. It was a decent deck. I won my first two rounds and lost the second to a mirror match. The girl I played in my final/mirror match was running more creatures than I, and she had no artifacts or enchanments so I was stuck with Smithereens and Gleeful's in hand while she hammered away at me. I finished like 8th out of 16 people so it wasn't bad. I made some killer trades: got a foil Cavalier, (3rd) foil bastion and a foil Oversoul! Plus picked up some Vensers, Chameleon, a fulminator and a shusher. I already had playsets but they are always good trading fuel.
Someone post someting, I am board.

Or, well, convinced my old employer to actually give me hours. I'm still working at Gamestop, but they gave me a dollar an hour raise. Hopefully, this can tie me over until I can find something that's a bit more permanent. With taking a year off from school I'll need something full-time to cover the benefits I lose from being a full-time student.
Well, you know how my parents weren't going to let me get a Polaroid camera a while ago?
I picked up a 1200 SI today for $30 at a photography fair.

the 1200 SI is amazingly cool; it had very old very warped film in it, that takes photos but they're really distorted, I'll scan some to show you guys. I'm super happy! Woo!

4x Chameleon Colossus
3x Garruk Wildspeaker
~Spells~ (15)
4x Giantbaiting
3x Lash Out
4x Flame Javelin
4x Tarefire
3x Gleeful Sabotage
2x Firespout
2x Cloudthresher
3x Vexing Shusher
3x Raking Canopy
2x Eyes of the Wisent

My deck is basically
-4 Paragon
-4 Giantbaiting
-4 Tarfire
-3 Garruk
-4 Collossus
-3 Lash Out
+4 Rift Bolt
+4 Incinerate
+4 Mogg Fanatic
+4 Keldon Mauraders
+4 Quirion Dryad
+2 ???? (A rolling slot of two one-ofs, because I don't like Garruk in here)

Grrrrrrrrrr

The only question is, what do I get?
What can you guys tell me with your experiences with the next-gen consoles?

Cheers,
Daggertooth

1, those are the cards we need to build around.
2, our card needs to be an instant or sorcery.
3, it needs to be a different colour.
