There's been a ton of rain here. So much that the creek near my place has overrun its banks and started flooding the park. We were told that we are being evacuated around noon today. I'll be staying up at my sister's house for a while, so I don't know how active I'll be, not that I was all that active beforehand.
Dave, I would tell him that you'd do a mutual withdrawal only after you get a partial refund. In my opinion, that's the best course of action.
We were told that we are being evacuated around noon today. I'll be staying up at my sister's house for a while, so I don't know how active I'll be
Where have you been man? ..Well, make sure you do something with your cards. Don't let them get wet..
I responded:
Dear sellit-now!,
Thank you for getting back to me. I agree I should have communicated with you and handled it differently. But at the time I was understandably upset. I am sorry too man. I tell you what: If you will issue a partial refund, lets say 1/4th of the BIN price, then I will agree to file for mutual withdraw of feedback. That way we can both come out of this without negative feedback from each other. Please let me know if this is acceptable and if so, how I go about withdrawing my feedback.
Thank you,
Dave Slate
If he accepts this then I'll be much happier.
Boss-man is taking the day off today. So, being the manager, I am in charge. I think I am just gonna update my trade thread all day and not do any work..

heh...There is limited storage space at my sister's, so I had to leave the cards there. Hopefully, the rain lets up long enough for some of the water to reced/evaporate. If not...~shrugs~...at least I'm still alive. I can always rebuild my stash of cards...most of it is land/crap rares anyway.
I think that was the best course of action there DUX. I would have tried to communicate with the guy first, but I can also sit here away from the situation and say that. Feedback withdrawl is fairly easy...although getting through ebay's multiple links is sometimes a pain in the arse.
We didn't get all that much rain. it was a lot of wind of wind and knocked the power out in my house to reset all the clocks. It was annoying to wake up at 2:00 am to the flashing, VERY BRIGHT, alarm clock. Oh well...I wasn't late for work...oh wait...yeah i was, power lines down across roads on my route.

Well, that is settled. He refunded a 4th of the BIN price and we retracted our neg's. I guess I am happy. I just wonder how much the foil Tarmo is valued at with 2x small wrinkles in it? You have to look at the bare card to see them, you can't see it when it is in a sleeve. *shrug*
I got 2x Dark Confidants in the mail yday. I was hoping for more. I better get some good stuff in the mail today. I need 4x 10th Soul Wardens for my W/B Soulblossom deck guys. I know one of you have them..
I live and breathe MTG right now. I hope I don't get burnt out..
sad... you did a real disservice to buyers like yourself who didn't know the guy was a bad eBayer. This is how sellers keep their bad business practices from the buyers like yourself. You should NEVER retract negative feedback for money. Now the guy got away with selling a crappy product for more than it was worth (even after the partial refund), feedback hostage taking, and he's got a clean slate. Shame.
The power of the goggles couldn't even help that scene there! David....you're getting into very risky ground there....very risky!!!

Well, I didn't really look at it that way. I suppose I should have waited to get more feedback from you all before I decided what to do. I saw it as compensation for the damaged item. Not a payoff.. ...me bad?
Ugh, I am full. Just ate some Chicken Fet. Alfrado. It wasn't as good as I remembered it being.
Oh well, back to work.
EDS: Well no one is posting.
Here is my first draft decklist for my Mono-Black deck:
It looks like an Extended deck, but you don't say. Anyway, explosive mana helps get Death Cloud off - also, if you intend to play teh Klowd, you will notice planeswalkers always survive DC. Liliana Vess, yo.
Lastly, your mana curve gives me the ships. What, you hate 2-drops or something??
I used to love Death Cloud. I remember a friend of mine had a deck with four of them and that Mirrodin uncommon that made each player sacrifice two creatures
Blocks of Hebel arrived at school today so I can start carving my bombs for my art piece.
Ugh, Death Cloud. The last time I played that was during affinity (bad memories). Still, the Cloud - Witness - Cemetery engine was pretty hard on people. Espescially since back then nobody had graveyard hate, even on the SB.
I was told today that this kid on my team called 911 twice this morning and hung up both times. They called back and his dad answered. The reason the kid called 911? He got an erection and didn't know what to do. I wish I was making this up.
I just got another bit of stuff done for my art piece, I did a test stone carving in Hebel stone. I was carving out a bomb... I suppose it vaguely resembles a bomb, but it was only a test one, so the others will be better done
Have a good weekend guys, I've got the school dance tomorrow night, then I'm going back to my friends house afterwards for a little gathering, then Saturday I'm doing schoolwork + going to a party in the evening.
Wow HkKid, thought you gone and left us for good. great to see you back.
I agree that Dave was a little hasty in giving negative feedback without any communication. Not every transaction can be smooth and it is not too difficult to discuss things with others. Now if the person just didn't respond or said tough then thats negative. That said, I think the seller was out of line to use the feedback for retaliation. Making some BS excuse to justify the negative feedback doesn't cut it, call it what it was, retaliation and poor buisness practice to boot. I figure the partial refund is justifyable and a decent way to go since both parties seem to have made some mistakes. I don't know the seller's personality nor did I deal with him to suspect that the damaged goods was some sort of nefarious ploy to get more than what something was worth. Sounds like the defects in the card is bairly noticeable from what you've said. Course if I ever shelled out more than $10 for a card I think I'd deserve to be picky. Foil goyfs are going for more than $10 right now...right?
I'm going camping. I don't know where or for how long but I'd be damned if I give up another weekend to not camping. I've been couped infront of a blasted computer all day at work then when I go home I check my emails, chat online, look at webcomics, play minesweeper, then go to bed. I've grown fat, flabby, and lazy...my muscles have atrophied from disuse... and I think my eyesight has deteriorated into nearsightedcomputerness. I wont last another week if I don't go camping.....

It's a site that lets you view eBay members feedback, but only the negatives, neutrals, and mutually withdrawn feedbacks. Punch in your seller's rating and see what people have said about him. I'll bet you he's got more than 1 or 2 mutual feedback withdrawls! Not to mention a lot more disgruntled customers than his 99.2% positive rating or whatever would make it seem.
R_E - Wow, thanx man! "sellit-now!" is definitely a bad ebayer'. He has negative feedback most every 3 days or so. He calls people "liars and idots" and all kinda stuff! He dosen't even specialize in selling MTG. If I'd known about this site before, I doubt I would have bought from him. Live and learn, eh?
Ria - Cabal Coffers is nothing new to me. I have never been a huge fan tho, b/c mana sources like it give off a dedicated amount of mana and you could get burned. Where stuff like Black Mana Battery would allow you to take what you need. But I do suppose it would be okay in this deck where I have 6 or so different spells...
I haven't seen Liliana Vess or any other planeswalkers in action, so I don't clearly understand them (even though I have read the rules). I had hoped it was a novelty that wouldn't catch on. Honestly, I was hoping they'd just go away..
What kinda 2 drops where you thinking Ria? Nantuko Shade?

Wow, that toolhaus is awesome, + that sellit-now! guy is vicious. You're lucky you came back with your nuts attached, DUX.
As for 2-drops, I didn't just mean 2-drops, your curve is painful. Your only 1-drop is reactive. What are you expecting to face? You've said before you don't take your decks to the local. . . it's hard to tech into a void. Disruption is good, + can force targets for your Extirpate
I was gonna say....am I the only one that noticed the Travis sighting?!? He must be bored or snowed in. Or both!!

I had some really delicious sake in Vegas at a very expensive sushi restaurant in the MGM Grand. It was so yummie. I liked the rough filtered cloudy stuff but really prefered the unfiltered clear bottle we had. Nice and sweet with good silky texture.

You listening to Sarah Blasko much?
After listening to Abbey Road (the 16-minute medley, mostly) 1,000 times, I remembered that the Beastie Boys sampled The End's upbeat "love you, love you" guitar track on Paul's Boutique - the Sound of Science. . . so I grabbed that + listened to it a million times. . . ahhh. . .
