I only have one person on my ignore list. Hard to believe, I know.
I went to the city today with my brother to get Anberlin tix, because the lady at the music store said they'd be on sale today.
Well, we got there and the lady said to wait half an hour to see if they were on sale. So we walked to the Mall (Not actually a shopping centre, more like a shooping strip) and I got some Easyway (Ice tea) and he got some coffee. We went to the Tea shop (SO AWESOME. They had over 200 blends of tea - I got some Vanilla. ) and then wandered back to the music shop.
She told us to check again tomorrow.
Then, I went home, and a few hours later went to the movies with my friends. We saw 300.
Yes, it was awesome, I loved it, you've heard this all before, special effects, etc.
That tea shop sounds fantastic! There are a few nice places around here, one in particular sells very exotic and rare teas, but they don't have a massive selection either. I've always wanted to open an Arabic Tea house in the states to be honest. I figure it would go over very well in a large metropolis like Manhattain.
There was one tea they had called Silver Needles. Here is the description from the booklet:
"This very rare tea is the result of two days picking each year. This si the finest quality, most delicate tea on the planet. (Subject to availability)
It cost $100 for 50 grams. That's around 1.75 ounces.
Ooo nice. I don't think I deserve that tea. Considering I smoke and my flavor buds are not sensitive.
On the other hand, I've always wanted to try Kopi Luwak coffee. It's about 600$ a pound. That's about the same as the tea, because you use a lot more coffee when brewing then steaping tea.
Edit: Just incase you don't know, the Luwak is a small catlike mongoose. It eats whole coffee fruit and then poops out the coffee bean! This is harvisted, and that is what Kopi Luwak is. Extrordinarlly rare and apparently, it's the most amazing tasting coffee. Here is a description of it.
The flavor is strong and complex, but without the bitterness usually associated with coffees that are this rich. There is a pleasant earthy flavor I cannot quite place. I can honestly say it stands apart from every other coffee I’ve ever had.
The bouquet has a lot to do with the flavor of this coffee. While I’m at a loss to describe it, it is very plesant and quite unusual. I’m trying it black now, and even in the absence of sugar there is not even a hint of bitterness.
The aftertaste dissipates quickly much like a pure Hawaiian Kona. It’s a smooth finish with a slight nuttiness to it. The perfect finish to the perfect cup. Both with cream and sugar, as well as black this is an outstanding cup of coffee.
Also, am i the only that gave a damn about today's mtg.com previews?
I was always a fan of Eladamri's Vineyard so the Magus of the Vineyard is gonna get some deck time with me. But that Glittering Wish is just down right insane. Any multicolored card?!?!?!?! Wow.......

I love coffee...lots of different coffees. I think I've heard about this coffee before. I would LOVE to have some poop coffee

You know, I'm pretty sure if there was ever a sex tape of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt that got leaked to the public, watching it would cure people of cancer. I'm ****ing serious. Either that or make their eyes bleed for they have seen the true face of God.
So, I have a deck idea (loosely) That I need to brainstorm over. I want sooooo badly to make a deck around Mishra, Artificer Prodigy, but I'm not sure what else to throw around it. I thought Of this, so far:
Well, my friend made a T2 combo deck called Boobies that used booby trap and mishra's bauble. It was actually pretty damn good. He used a lot of sigets, academy ruins, carefull consideration, and quickly got two boobie traps out for the big 20 damage.
I kept trying to get him to use Jester's scepter with it, but he never tried it.
Hey, I didn't say you shouldn't do anything! Hehe. I don't know what I'm talking about man. You have entered [T] land, where most things don't make sense untill lord Rhal shows up with his tantalizing treats.

Where is lord Rhal anyways?
Lord Rahl is sexy.....
@All: Thanks for the ideas. I think I might go with the Bauble/Bomb idea, as opposed as I was to it at first, mostly because they're expensive as hell thanks to the deck.

I've seen this in action and it can decimate decks quickly. The Dream Stalker is used to repeatedly bounce the Scepter, btw.
@Shah -- I think you did break Arboria!! Sweet. I like those ideas. I kept having problems figuring how to run it either :symg:/:symu: or :symg:/:symw: because of the color requirements for the spells. I had briefly thought about 3 color, but couldn't figure how to run it efficiently. You're ideas are definately going to be worked on this weekend. Hopefully I can have a decklist running by sometime Sunday so I can play it at my Monday night MtG group. I'll post a decklist and let you know how it ran.
FS -- I am really excited about this set. Some of the cards are sooooo promising. Barren Glory....ummm...who doesn't want to win with The Cheese Stands Alone. Hell....I've already got this broke. Magus of the Moat is gonna wreck some decks. Aven Mindcensor is pure friggin' comedy. I want to run a deck with that just to mess with people Venser, Shaper Savant --- Wow. Bitter Ordeal is sick. I can't wait to wreck ppl with it. Molten Disaster looks tasty. Plus many many more

@Nemo: Yeah, that sounds sick. Now I just need said cards. I have 4 Mishra's and 1 Ruins, but none of the others... Well, I'm pretty sure I have the Stalker. It's common.
I'm back! After turning in my 4 papers due today and finishing up the in class test with premature arthritis, I'm freeeee.
Nice to see the thread is picking up some traffic.
@the stalker craziness: I've actually tried to put that thing in a Stax shell since most of those cards (except the mishra) are fairly friendly with the stax accel. Outside of the whole 'I die to Goblin' deal, it was fairly entertaining.
@FS: So far most stuff seems not too bad, everything's just seem to be a tad bit overcost for legacy or does nothing. But that multi-color card wish is definitely sexy. I can so see it in truffle shuffle to help it speed up the match-up clock.
@Sappy: You rock sir. I can't say this to you enough. That response to the questions blew my mind. hi5!

@All: Thanks for the ideas. I think I might go with the Bauble/Bomb idea, as opposed as I was to it at first, mostly because they're expensive as hell thanks to the deck.
Actually, at the online store I shop from, the bombs are only $1.49 a piece (Black bordered from tempest to boot)! Dirt cheap
@CD : I love Eureka 7, There is just one thing I don't understand about the show. Whey do they pronounce it "Elreka" when it's spelled "Eureka"?
I love it though. The art is breathtaking and I love how unpredictible the show can be at times. It can take these unexpected little twists and explore them longer then expected, creating a huge story arc out of what would typically be a side story in any other anime. And Talho is sexy

I've actually only seen 10 episodes - only 10 are out on DVD here. And they say it phoenetically, not right.
Anyway, I had the most amazing day ever. I bought seasons 1 & 2 of Mighty Boosh, A FMA hat, which is yellow with an angry face, 2 Rock Lee badges and a young Rock Lee pendant.
The cosplay parade was awesome, too. Two people cosplayed as Howard and Vince from Mighty Boosh, and it was so cool.

I can't wait until Animania in October.
That sounds so cool. There are anime conventions about two hours from my city, but I don't go to them. Out of all my friends, I'm the only one who really loves anime. Kindof sucks come to think of it. I need to like, find an anime support group or something.
So, about Future Sight: I only have one question. Where are my damned ninjas?! I was seriously expecting some or even ninjas in this set, but no. Instead we get like, 200 new auras. Wizards needs to learn, ninjas are better then auras!

Hell Yeah!!!! Ninja's pwn! I think we should strike so the next block is based around Ninja's vs. Pirates.
I retract my saying about nothing being amazing in FS... Street Wraith. Essentially with 4 in the deck, it spells "-8 life, start the game with 56 cards"... at the worst of course. I want 2000 of them right now >>.

Is this tea or cocaine???

@FL: The 0-cc counter was said to be fake so I'm not including it. Adding to the list of creatures, though - Aven Augur anyone?? It's an amazing card.
Nix is a very good counter, too.
Mishra x4
Grinning Totem x? (At least 2)
Careful Consideration x4
Acadamy Ruins x2?
Then, my brain starts hurting. I kinda suck at making decks, and I don't own much of TS or PC. Any helpful hints?
Edit: Oh, and I'd like it to be for T2. If we're talking Extended, then there is no question as to what to put in!
I kept trying to get him to use Jester's scepter with it, but he never tried it.
I figured that would be great with mishra.
I, too, only have one person on my ignore list. It takes a lot to make me do that.
50 new mechanics is pretty crazy.
Wow, I can see why. I actually just counted it, and I was incorrect about my number. It's actually 26!
I wonder if that's a record on the site.
@ Nemo - I think I just broke your Aboria deck, I posted about it.
@ Gasu - Is that the dude who tried to rip someone off? And now turns out to be a chick?
This world never ceases to astound me with it's wonders
Where is lord Rhal anyways?
OH GOSH GUYS SUPANOVA TOMORROW. It'll be fun.
I got Anberlin tix today, also.
Supanova? As in a band? Or is the sun asploding?
I didn't know Rahl is stormbind. That's cool
Lord Rahl is sexy.....
@All: Thanks for the ideas. I think I might go with the Bauble/Bomb idea, as opposed as I was to it at first, mostly because they're expensive as hell thanks to the deck.
Ok...Booby Trap and Mishra's Bauble is good. But if you want style points try...
Mishra, Artificer Prodigy
Jester's Cap
Jester's Scepter
Dream Stalker
Academy Ruins

No, the pop-culture expo. Like, an anime con.
I made a cool Eureka SeveN "ray=out" shirt to wear.
Nice to see the thread is picking up some traffic.

Delve works really well with Granduer, too.

I do like input from the glorious T's, though!
