Ooof, I didn't see that we had a new thread up, so I haven't even looked in here yet. I have suddenly received a whole lot of extra free time (just broke up with the girlfriend), so I'm going to try to be online and participatory much more than since I joined up.
On the Pirates three topic, I saw it last thursday when it opened and loved it. It wasn't the best movie, but it was fun and despite it's long runtime I didn't ever look at my watch. I'm also going to have to agree with Sha about Spider-Man 3. I loved it quite a bit. It was a great comic book film.
I just played through enchanted arms over the weekend. Has anyone else played this game? It seems like it wants to be a mix of final fantasy and Pokemon, but comes up short on both ends. I'm at the final battle right now, but it seems that I haven't leveled nearly enough to beat the ice queen. She just tears me up every time.
Ok, I have a quick question to anyone with a DM guide handy, beings I don't own one of my own...
--How much gold would a level 9 get to start out with? (Just a Human Wizard, no fancy shinanegans)
In other news, Turns out i'm going to see PotC. my dad is letting my brother and I go tonight, AND he's paying. Nice deal.
@Morrowind: I'm actually only level 13 with about 27/10 for my "level-up bar" as I call it. I chose assassin as my class, but i focus on the alchemy and marksman stuff, until just recently when i found a pretty cool shortblade that I like to use.
@+1 weps, etc: So we get one for every 100 posts in this forum, or the PnP inn? I honestly didn't know how you guys did it and just thought it was random.
Anyone else here play Ogame? Either way, it's a pretty fun MMO space-simulation thing. I like it, but the learning curve is ridiculous and you sometimes go through a bunch of BS, but whatever.
Anyone know a good, free, MMORPG that doesn't take a ridiculous amount of download time/space?
yeah, I'm nowhere near that level yet, but nothing else has been a challenge in the game. I read online that I should be around lv 60 or so, and that atsuma should have something like 7000 hp. what characters did you use at the end?
You can exchange the chips for cash? I thought I had to spend them on those prizes there, that should make it much easier. I was buying 9 of an item there and then selling the item at the store. I feel kind of silly now... luckily I have a save from before I started all of that, so I can just cash in for money and not waste so many chips. Is Odin really that good? I haven't used him much, but he is in my backup list, so I don't have to do too much leveling for him, he is right with my group.
@metathran elite: first, 9th lvl characters in D&D start with 36,000 gp. second, a good free online mmorpg is Minions of Mirth. The download might take some time, but the game actually isn't that big.
@alucar: ah, faerun. How we poke fun at your many deities and rediculously large landscape(most of which isn't used by the setting, mind you). Nevertheless, I would play, though I would want to play a shadowcaster(from tome of magic) who would(obviously) use shadow weave magic.
@all: I might be able to guarantee at least one post every day. Not certain how often I will be away from the location I'm in now. I'll post when I can.

@FR Campaign: I may be interested in joining up, but I need to check my schedule for the sumer first, just to make sure I don't join then go on vacation with no comp for a month
Edit: I saw PotC 3 last night. All-in-all, not a bad movie. It ranks as my second favorite of the three, Curse of The Black Pearl being number 1.
Man, I just finished enchanted arms last night, and I got to say that I wasn't very impressed with the ending. There was not nearly enough closure to some of the dangling plot threads for my tastes, but I don't see them ever making a sequel, which would be the only reason that I would have left some of the things open like they did. Meh, all in all I did enjoy the game, though.
My end stats
Atsuma at level 48 7201 hp
Raigar at level 47 2200 hp
Odin at level 53 2001 hp
Galilea at level 44 2000 hp.
After I upped Atsuma's hp, the last fight was no big deal at all, I didn't come close to losing once...
Special: He can do devistating charges and ride by attacks while on his Dire Wolf, and I can make up to two ride checks per round to avoid attacks made against my wolf. Lastly, while mounted I can subtract from my ac, which adds to my attack and then I can channel all of that into a power attack. Speaking of, here is his baby, leveled up in all his glory thanks to my class feature:
Dire wolf: simply named "wolf"
81 Hitpoints
20 AC
Attack +14
Damage 1d8+12
Evasion
Grim is a massive orc. 6'5'' with a shaved head and a long black beard. His classes are Blademaster, Orcish Raider and lastly fighter. Oh, and he's lawfull good. He's just about to get his fourth attack, which will come a little too late, as the big war is about to happen. The Alliance, horde and undead legion verses a buttload of Demons.
I know that we are going to be fighting Aradon Warlocks (which are these gargantuan demons) and I'm hoping our GM lets me do a nice "Shadow of the colossus" scene where Grim has to scale up this giant demon.
Hello everyone sorry i havent posted in natural 20 threads for awhile. Just wanted to stop by and say hello though. Ive been doing some RPG gaming and been pretty busy with work.
I am pretty far in dragon quest 7 though i am at the part where you save these flying people from a evil black cloud but the boss is pretty hard though hellcloud so i am going to get the best weapons and armor as possible then ill probalby fight him because from here on out this game is going to be very difficult if you dont have the right equipment.
See you all soon! *hugs and blows kisses*
Love,
Cecilia

Hello my fellow clan, Alacar you smell, you disagree with me, me now upset, anyway in my defence I can say yes Kirsten Dunst does have dirty hair in Spidey 3, its due to the fact that she spends the entire film in distress, so there.
One other thing, hi Cecilia, I thought you had finished DQ 7, I myself don't have it, one of few games I don't have, not been able to get, its a bit rare to get a hold of these days. Myself am playing not much at the moment, going through aload of adventure games on the PS2, just to say I have finished them, hehehe, well Okami here I come.
As a tribute to Hunter who seems rare these days:

Hello littledragon no i havent finished dq7 yet. Yeah dragon quest 7 is a pretty hard game to find it was even difficult for me to find it and they were still manufacturing the game at the time. Although Dragon quest 8 is also very good and its more challenging then dq7 even though the difficulty of the bosses are about the same in my opinion in both games. Yeah i havent really played that many games either aside from a little bit of rogue galaxy and of course dragon quest 7.
Love,
Cecilia

No, I am not. Sounds interesting, though. Care to share?
Meanwhile- I need to gush for a moment here. I am enjoying Waltz Araneae sooo freaking much. It has been entertaining my thoughts for days now, and I am just so freaking pleased with the cast and the setting. It's so creatively invigorating for me.

I'm loving it too! I'm sorry, but Kuni's whole interaction with the sisterhood was just riveting for me.
I don't know much about Iron Kingdoms. There are some guys I'm going to be playing with a bit, and they are into it. I'm just learning, but it seems cool so far. I'm still trying to grasp the setting, but from my first impressions it seems to have a touch of the wild west blended with a peppering of fantasy. Mix this with steam powered technology and you've got it. Kindof crazy, but cool at the same time.
Clerics and casters in general are nerfed down somewhat, so it's interesting from that perspective.
I'm wanting to make this crazy character. Imagine a healthy mix of John Wayne and Murdoch from the A-team.

Oh my God, that actually sounds really damn awesome. Sounds like a neat sort of "Wild Arms" setting. That would be really interesting, I think.
I'll have to look into it. I mean, God knows I can't really afford to squeeze ANOTHER game into my roster now, but God if I don't love inventive settings.
Incidentally, speaking of strange d20 system games, they have a game called Testament, which is a d20 game meant to emulate Biblical era fiction. It is basically a literal Judeo-Christian game, which I thought could be an interesting read.
Yes, I was enjoying the interaction. I'm glad that some people are getting fairly involved with the RP, and I'm hoping it encourages others to do so. I felt the encounter with the sisters was fairly tame, myself, but it will get worse. Running into them is never supposed to be a comfortable experience.

I didn't notice this until just now.
I think you will find in most non-D&D d20 games that casters are significantly restricted. In d20 Modern, they are considerably less powerful (given the open access to firearms and explosives that are often as powerful as most low level spells) and they cap out at level 5 spells (from a very limited list).
In True20, casters are a lot more subtle in their approach, and in games like Call of Cthulu, magic users are not much different from experts in their impact on the game.

Hi imback and Im a noob in tabletop RPGs. just started my first D&D last saturday. Im uhhmm a human fighter..geez I know you guys are D&D champs and everythin..
You can enjoy and be good at both, you know. It's just a different experience. Video game RPGs are like reading a book or watching a movie, playing tabletop is like playing Magic with friends or telling stories around a campfire.
Human Fighter is a pretty good character to learn the game on. It's nice and front loaded, doesn't have any complicated mechanics, and doesn't have any hard rules to learn.
