WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN [NATURAL 20]
One day, at Photon Eater's Glorious Haunted Castle, he and his henchmen friends sat down to a fun-filled game of D&D.

Let that be a lesson to you. Don't be like Marcie. Join Natural 20... and save a life! Perhaps your own!

Well anyway I dont have money yet to watch a movie. As soon as I have I will watch Pirates too. Later Ill be going to my friends house and play WoD again. Im Shadow Frostwind , the stealth assassin type.
*hordes his +1 magic items because he's secretly a meddling dragon who likes to send young adventures on quests that he could have solved by snapping a finger.*
I plan to see Pirates 3 soon. I honestly enjoyed the first two, and loved the direction of the sequel.
I also just saw spiderman 3. I know that it's gotten some bad press, but I have to say that it was an outstanding superhero movie. One of the best I've seen. It's up there with the first batman as far as I'm concerned.
Edit: Does this mean I have to change my link? Because I'm lazy.
@shah: I haven't seen Spiderman 3 yet, but some of the things that I've heard have already made me lose my interest in seeing it in theatres. Although, I must say that I still plan to see it because of all the things that they did wrong, they at least had the decency to get venom completely right, as well as brilliantly(Venom is my alltime favorite Marvel Villain and Second favorite character in general).
@all: I plan to take this now thread as an opportunity to put up a serious post count here at Natural 20. I've kinda neglected the place, and I plan to make amends for that by actually contributing from now on.
@Alacar: I am kinda looking forward to the new pirates movie. The last one left of at a big cliff-hanger, so I definately want to see what's going on now.

@all: I plan to take this now thread as an opportunity to put up a serious post count here at Natural 20. I've kinda neglected the place, and I plan to make amends for that by actually contributing from now on.
Ok. So what kind of RPGs you play Ronan? Video or pen&paper?
For me Im playing Video RPG alot, and Ive just started my first tabletop one, which is World of Darkness. Seems alot of fun for me.
I'm at a bit of an impasse with my Waltz Araneae character. Right now I have two choices, and I just am not sure which way to go. I can make her a strong healer type as an egoist, with a revive power and a restoration power coming up, but with little intrigue or information gathering; or I can make her a moderately good healer but with information gaining and manipulation powers as a telepath.
So far it's the only real thing I'm stuck on. I guess it depends on what is needed. Either way I go, I am still very capable of recovering hit points for myself and allies, removing poisons and diseases, and curing ability damage. The only I can't do as a telepath is revive, and a full restoration-style power will be a long time coming. Those are the only true losses to a healer's power as a telepath. But as an egoist, I'd lose my mind-reading ability, mindlink, suggestions, and so on.
I'm tempted to go egoist because there don't seem to be any other healers thus far. But at the same time, I'm not sure how necessary a revive power will be, especially considering all the protection-style effects and health recovery my character already has as a druid/psion.
All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
I would lean towards telepath if I were you. I mean, we do need healing magic, and someone with the ability to remove poisons and such, but as long as you have this capacity, I think we'll be okay. If all you are sacrificing is the ability to bring someone back to life, then it shouldn't be a huge sacrifice.
@hunter: I mostly play Dungeons and Dragons. I've gotten a lot of stuff down on the game, but my secret passion is a game that I've been working on myself for the past eight or so years, called Direrealm. Psychoburner has been helping me out with it, although I've had the unfortunate habit of remaking the game from scratch. Mostly it's because I'll notice a fatal flaw in the mechanics of the game and realize that I'll need to start over. I also play console rpg's, but I'm not familiar with some of the more rare rpg's that I've heard are good(half because I can't find them, and half because I'm impatient). Mostly, I enjoy the story behind console rpg's more than actually playing the game.
On a side note, I've noticed an anomaly in D&D, and I'm wondering if anyone else has some input or explanation for me. In the 3.5 Player's handbook, the end of the Classes chapter talks about multiclassing, and how things like class features, exp, and skills work when multiclassing. One thing that is says is that when you gain a second class, you are able to put a number of ranks into your class skills from your other class as though you had levels in that class equal to your HD(hit die). For example, if you were a Level 3 fighter and put 5 ranks into Ride, then took two levels of wizard(who doesn't get ride as a class skill). During the two levels of wizard, you may put up to 2 more points into Ride as though you were still progressing in fighter.
However, I've noticed that some prestige classes introduced in some of the supplements grant the character the benefit of being able to do this same thing, as though you weren't able to do this without this class.
Is there an errata for this rule, or are the supplements just giving out useless class features in their prestige classes and don't realize it? Does anyone know?

" Even now the stars align, the celestial spheres moving into the prophesied positions of the great astral conjunction..." [Aurter Burtabby][Blood of Gods][Aether]
I'm going to go see PotC3 in a few hours. . . wha? Oh, right -
H'Roth hasn't participated in the Clan Contest Mafia this Day, + it's been open for 72 hours, some of which he was online during. So I sent him a prod, he hasn't responded, so now I'm prodding y'all. I would *really* hate to modkill anyone at this point in the game, it gets very swingy. So if H'Roth doesn't jump up in the next day, any chance of a replacement?
Hey, has anyone played WoD yet? Are the stories the same? If someone here plays the game then can you tell me exactly who is Chris and Stella? Thanks guys.
Anton Vistani - A former professor of archeology at Harvard. Now an idealistic Tremere who's very interested in the magics of Western Europe and the Middle East. He's the complete antithesis of most WOD characters. He's slightly clumsey and shy. He still wears his glasses out of habit and always seems to be wearing a camel hair or tweed suitcoat. It's funny, because his companion/mate is this true to the stereotype, old world vampire (think lust from full metal alchemist).
Cesno Giovani - One of the last two Capadocians in existance. This is my most powerful vampire character by far. He has "lived" since the dark ages, and is fourth generation. This guy is crazy. He is from the Giovani family. Long ago they served as servents of the Capadocians, but one night the Giovani turned against the capadocians and pretty much wiped them out. My character is the only Giovani who stayed loyal to the Capadocians and eventually became one. He's on this slow crusade to wipe out the Giovani and has the power to back it up. He looks creepy as hell too. He's pretty much skeletal at this point, and is held together by magics, and always wears this black pinstripe suit and formal hat. He uses magic to disguise himself from mortals, but regular vampires see him for what he is. As far as his abilities go, think pure necromancer on steroids.
I also have played two characters in brief games, hardly worth mentioning. One was a werewolf of the Stardancers, a clan that focuses on martial arts. The other was a Euthanatos mage.
As far as the games go, every game is different, just like any other tabletop rpg. They are probably just the invention of your gamemaster.
I play both the table-top D&D, and console games. I spent all weekend playing Morrowind...I gotta say, that game is sooo easy to break. It's supposed to level up with you, but if you never rest in a bed, you dn't level up, so your skills get hacked for someone of your level...
Yeah, My group is more into the videogame RPGs and we rarely get together for D&D, so that's all i have to say right now...like the new thread...
yeah, what ever happened to the +1 weapons
i miss them.
i'm totally bored by pirates 3. is it trying to be a high-budget imitation of star wars? because it is. i though the first one was a great story but the second felt forced and predictable.
the spiderman movies are always better than i expect them to be, so i will probably try to see spiderman 3.
Okay, I finished Bianca's character sheet and bio. Anyone who feels like reading can check it out in the Waltz Araneae Character thread in the Character Hall.

I don't plan on seeing the third PotC movie. I hate it when a story starts out good almost perfect, but ends up losing it. Yeah, I'll admit it, I watched the first one to death, but the second was kind of forced.
Honestly, I watched that Star Wars thing last night...it was pretty interesting..
I don't play Morrowind too much, but currently I am in a kind of adventure mode where I just go and try to explore every place until I find and beat all the dungeons around. Only level 13, but if i wanted to, I could just rest and be level 20...hehehe
I find morrowind to be fantastic. It's hard to get into, and a friggen HUGE game, but it's amazingly deep when it comes to where you can go, and the mythology behind it is incredible.

Official Character Sheet Shredder of DAMNIT
DAMNIT: I should never have to shred my own character sheet in frustration.
I have Pirates 1 + 2 on Dvd, but I haven't watch the 2nd one yet. I've had it for a while but haven't had time/ felt like it. I'll probably get around to watching it this weekend.
That's my only problem with Morrowind, it's almost TOO big. I once took a wrong turn and about 5 minutes later realized it wasn't where I wanted to be. So i looked at my map, turns out i was in the opposite direction of where I wanted to go
With the PnP Inn experiencing something of a "revival", we've created a blog to catalog Inn news and generate interest.
The first update went up a few minutes ago, and since our clan and the Inn are basically arm and arm most of the time, I figured it was worth mentioning.
The link to the blog is in my sig, under "Bag of Holding".
On +1 weapons- I just got tired of tracking every hundredth post, really. In the "House, someone is always watching so it never gets missed, but in here A) I was the only one watching, and B) no one ever really seemed to care, so I figured it was a clan feature worth retiring. We can bring em back, though.

[16:23] Alacar Leoricar: maybe if you do it'll make the porn more meaningful
@Metathran Elite: In Morrowind, you can do the power-skill leveling approach, but at later levels, you won't be able to level easily because you won't be able to level easily(you'll have to purposely get arrested so that your skills drop from being in jail so long, and even then, the most I've ever spent in jail was two weeks, which drops three skills by about five or six points). It can be a real hassle. The best way to level is to make sure you don't gain any more points from your major skills that what is required to level. Otherwise, you'll waste valuable skill points and wind up smacking yourself for it later(especially when you reach around lvl 30 or so).
About Morrowind in general: I can say that with very little exception, I am a foremost master on Morrowind Mythology, almost literally through and through, so if there is anyone who has even the slightest question about any part of the Mythology for Morrowind, just ask. /brag
In general: I'll be going on a two week annual training thing for the army starting tomorrow, so I won't be able to post as much. I'll try to post any chance I get during then, but I can't make any promises.:(

i always wanted to get a +1 weapon myself. i've often wondered if it will be a weapon i like.
not only would i like the +1 weapons to come back, but i'd also like for extra bonus magic items to be given out. maybe if the list got too long, you could trade in a person's stock of weapons for a +3 or +5 weapon. it's nice flavor for an RPG clan to go along with the leveling up.

H'Roth hasn't participated in the Clan Contest Mafia this Day, + it's been open for 72 hours, some of which he was online during. So I sent him a prod, he hasn't responded, so now I'm prodding y'all. I would *really* hate to modkill anyone at this point in the game, it gets very swingy. So if H'Roth doesn't jump up in the next day, any chance of a replacement?
Cheers,

Characters:
Yeah, My group is more into the videogame RPGs and we rarely get together for D&D, so that's all i have to say right now...like the new thread...
i miss them.
i'm totally bored by pirates 3. is it trying to be a high-budget imitation of star wars? because it is. i though the first one was a great story but the second felt forced and predictable.
the spiderman movies are always better than i expect them to be, so i will probably try to see spiderman 3.

goodalmost perfect, but ends up losing it. Yeah, I'll admit it, I watched the first one to death, but the second was kind of forced.Honestly, I watched that Star Wars thing last night...it was pretty interesting..
I don't play Morrowind too much, but currently I am in a kind of adventure mode where I just go and try to explore every place until I find and beat all the dungeons around. Only level 13, but if i wanted to, I could just rest and be level 20...hehehe
I'll try to post any chance I get during then, but I can't make any promises.:(

not only would i like the +1 weapons to come back, but i'd also like for extra bonus magic items to be given out. maybe if the list got too long, you could trade in a person's stock of weapons for a +3 or +5 weapon. it's nice flavor for an RPG clan to go along with the leveling up.
