I think it's a good idea only if their actions are harmful to the queer community in general, such as the outings of prominent reactionary politicians.
Help has come in the form of a bit of basic algebra. I feel that it'll shed some light on your problem here.
Basically:
S + T = W
...S in this case stands for 'spam' and the T stands for 'light trolling'. And the W? That stands for 'Warning'. I love math. -- {mikeyG}
Recently I've noticed that whenever I talk to a guy in the closet I end up trying to convince him to come out. How should I convince people to come out if it is a good thing to try to do?
Uhm, maybe not being an ******* and... not pressure them?
e: what the crap kind of forum is this where i cant swear
haha, you'd been here before, you were like one of the founding gaymers... lol you know this site
EDIT: Too bad nobody has posted here since I was last on. I was just checking out the Fraggot Clan website, and I noticed that someone has done as veritable case study on the homophobia of the Halo community. Man, and I thought the Counter Strike Source community was bad... Check this out.

So who here likes chick flicks and is it BECAUSE I AM GAY?
I don't, as a general rule. Rom-coms and tear-jerkers aren't my thing. So much of the stereotypical chick flick is tied up in melodrama and overwrought theatrics that it's hard for me to get on board. And even beyond that, given that chick flicks are supposedly geared toward women, I find it disheartening that so many of their female characters suck so bad.
ETA: Hee! Oh, Nick, that warning message in your sig is one of my personal favorites if I do say so myself. It really bugged me that the poster was snidely insulting those who were posting to get help with homework that was giving them trouble. That's just low.
I don't dig chick flicks that much. Too many follow trite romantic comedy plots that are virtually identical. The characters are usually almost totally unlikeable, and never deserve the lucky twist of fortune that magically solves all their problems in the end.
Either that or they just drive off a cliff with their best friend...
... I usually like chick flicks. Steel Magnolias, FTW(eeping)! There's only so much I can take, though, and the truly banal of the lot make me nuts. Like, um... Kate & Leopold (that movie with Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman plays some time traveling duke or some crap). Wouldn't touch that with a ten-foot pole. Or anything with Hugh Grant. Hugh Grant = (We have no vomiting smilie, so that'll have to do)
Haven't seen Closer yet but it's in my NetFlix queue. I had pretty much no interest in 10 Things I Hate About You except the parts where Andrew Keegan was scantily clad.

I like so many different movies I no longer know what constitutes a chick flick. But I DO know for a fact that I enjoy at least one specific Chick Flick and that is the Notebook. I don't usually cry, and especially at movies is this true, but the Notebook made me sob for at least 10 minutes afterward. (I don't buy that they were tears though. I think Ryan Gosling is hot enough to make my eyes sweat. Y'all will buy that right?)
I like Mean Girls. That's a chick movie but I dunno if it's "chick flickish" enough.
But at the same time I loved Superbad and Kill Bill and Grindhouse and Fried Green Tomatoes and X-Men and Princess Bride and Clue. I don't really know where I fall in the movie realm because so many are good for different reasons.

As a general rule I don't care for chick flicks, but The Notebook, Steel Magnolias, Legally blonde, and Fightclub are all great chick flicks.
... Fight Club? I always thought that had a more masculine pseduo-philospohical appeal to it. Sure, there's lots of shirtless Brad Pitt and Ed Norton, but generally chicks don't watch boxing.
I like the occasional rom-com or chick flick.
I'm more of a fan of slightly less wholesome humour, though. I'm a big fan of black comedy (like Heathers or, possibly, Sweeney Todd {unless Burton directed it too seriously, which I pray is not the case) or the occasional mockumentary (Drop Dead Gorgeous is one of my favourite movies).
Did you really like him in The Rock or were you tricked in to thinking you did by Conery? Sure I think in the rock he did his best....
Drop Dead is a great movie, a personal fav as well. Tautha is wocked worth seeing. I'm finishing up the book and I really enjoyed it. Since I'm gonna be in Londom the week before Christmas I thought I might see it live there. Well if its still showing.

Oh, I certianly think Connery (not to mention the awesomeness that is Ed Harris, and the crappiness of the main mercenary villans) made Cage look better but I still think Cage did a good job.

I absolutely adore Wicked. Be warned, though, it is nothing like the book. Nothing. The characters are all there but the story is completely different. I read the book after seeing the show and like the show better.

Most girls i know hate Fight Club....i loved it.
Nicolas Cage is one of the actors I like...dunno WHY, exactly, but I like his acting.
Gone in 60 Seconds? His best movie. By far.

I didn't have anyone/where else to rave about how I think Zvi's looking pretty hot in their Hall of Fame pic, so I thought I'd finally drop a line here and do so.
As far as Wicked, it's a good show. BUT, Annaleigh Ashford, who is the current G{a}linda on Broadway can't act. She has a nice singing voice, but her acting is horribly expressionless. Her biggest role prior to this was Margot in Legally Blonde the Musical, basically a greek chorus part.
So beware!
If you're in LA, though (as I don't know where you're thinking of seeing it), go. Megan Hilty and Edin Espinoza are faboo.
The best picture of Zvi I've seen was the one for his mtg.com column. I guess I shouldn't be talking because I'm not a fan.
I prefer Katsuhiro Mori or Tomoharu Saito and their exciting clothes.
And it's nice to see Fujita in semi-traditional garb at the ceremony.
I watched quite a bit of the top eight today, and it was very good viewing. The highlight was definitely game four of the Gabrielle Nassif versus Patrick Chapin mirror match. Tensest thing I've ever seen in a game of magic. The commentators were comparing it to the "ten-thousand dollar Lightning Helix" that Craig Jones pulled off at Honolulu (I think it was). I prefer this moment because the Helix all happened so fast. Go watch it!
Of course I was rooting for Mori (in cases where it doesn't matter at all, I always root for whoever I think is best looking) but it was nice to see Uri Peleg, from such a tiny country!, pull it off.
Speaking of Worlds, I remember talking with a friend about Lorwyn on the weekend it was released at the local game shop. I told him Doran based Rock decks would be a force to be reckoned with.
As far as the hotness of the Hall of Famers... uhhh... I'll pass on all of them. Thanks, but no thanks.

yeah but idont pay attention much
Kraj Thank you. Finally someone else who doesn't like Hue Grant. The only actor more repulsive is Nicholas Cage.

Happy to help. Cage doesn't bother me, though. I just generally find him bland. Liked him in The Rock, though.
