Hey hey kiddos, I'm alive. That test was EASY! I got done with it in half an hour. Now I'm celebrating with a marathon of Mel Brooks films (The Producers, The Twelve Chairs, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Silent Movie, High Anxiety, History of the World: Part I, Spaceballs, Robin Hood: Men in Tights)
Oh, fable. I played as a good character and I only played all the way through the game once, though I tried different playstyles. My favorite thing about fable is that the various combat styles are aren't even remotely balanced. The game is comically easy if you play as a melee fighter or caster; the only difference is whether you want to have to click a bunch of times until all of the bad guys are dead and you're still unharmed or whether you want to hold down the 'lightning' button until all of the bad guys are dead and you're unharmed. Playing as a ranged character, on the other hand, is an excercise in frustration. For some reason, unlike magical attacks, which auto-target and don't hit friendlies, ranged attacks have to be manually aimed and do, in fact, hit friendlies. The basic ranged special move is basically guarenteed to hit friendlies if they're anywhere in the same time zone as your target, because it loops around and flies all over the place, and, naturally hits friendlies, which makes any escort style mission incredibly difficult, since the mobiles swarm around your escortee.
They're acutioning off NPC roles for Fable 2 (I think for charity), which is kinda cool.
In NWN2, I played as a CG drow sorcerer/dragon disciple...I got through the first part of the adventure, and then my laptop keeled over and I lost all my data
Actually NWN2 took me a long time to figure out what i wanted to play... i first played a Female Tiefling Warlock (i was all the rave with the boys! :laugh2:) but warlocks develop so slow in game and i really tried to make her as CG as possible even if the game was virtually screaming EVIL every single minute of the gameplay... then i tried an aasimar and i threw up... it didnt went so nice... then i tried a drow but im so biased it kills the fun (im a big fan of salvatore so anything less than drizz do'urden doesnt feel epic enough)... so i moved back to tiefling but this time monkish... im the real drunken master
I want the expansion pack too but if I tried to install it in THIS hunk of junk, it would call down the aspect of the Great Computer God and smite me back into the Stone Age.
The only other PC game I've played was Icewind Dale II. Console games are another matter.
Today is yet another day where I should be cleaning the house, but instead I am sitting here on my butt contributing to the Custom Item Creation thread.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

Good morning to you as well Sepiriel and hehe thats a pretty good idea actually given the theme of this time of year. Cecilia would also probably look pretty cute with a santa hat on too.
By the way I decided to use the planeswalkers in UGB landstill since they just seem the perfect fit for any landstill deck just as long as they run their conventional colors. I totally forgot about them hehe.
Garruck is like the improved kjeldoran outpost for this landstill deck and jace is probably the best late game winner since you can deck your opponent which should come in handy in the mirror. Well I am going to eat lunch here in a little bit so talk to you all soon and take care everyone!
seeing as everyone has changed thier avatar, figure I should get a new one as well...
found a pic of Mia from Golden sun (which is one of the best GBA games ever made, period) and altered the hair so it matched the chara I'm using in ethersphere's D20 campaign. I think it worked pretty well...
if only I could work something that easily with Alacar's Jhoira pic (that thing is seriously getting to be annoying...I can not get the hair to work in that pic... >.>)
EDIT: well, here's one way to cheer someone up...I just recieved cards from a trade, and my MPR reward cards came in (1 tourney shy of damnation, though...sadness)
Yay! I loved the Golden Sun games. Mia was pretty cute imo, but no cuter than <-----this little bugger.
I loved Golden Sun 1 and 2, though I never got to see the ending of 2. I had almost 100% completion but, before I could see the endings, my battery went dead, and I didn't feel like beating the boss -again-. Somehow, though, I doubt there'll be a 3. Sad, because they were good games.
Yeah, while I'd love another game in the series, its doubt will one will be released. Why is it that a lot of the good games never get anymore games in it series? (I'm looking at you, "Chrono" series)
Hopefully, Nintendo will put them into other games as characters, like Smash Bros., or even as a cameo or easter egg in future games. That way, if it gets enough exposure, they might decide to make another one. *crosses fingers*
Speaking of holiday avatars, and the GS talk.... Gentlemen...(and ladies ^_^)
BEHOLD! TACO ISLAND!....I mean, a change of avatars.

Yeah for real they should continue the chrono trigger serious especially on the ps2 and maybe on the ps3 as well. Chrono trigger was an awesome series that i played a million times especially the first one chrono chross was also pretty good too.
That reminds me of something i heard long ago that square was going to make a fighting game that had all of the final fantasy characters in it I guess they scratched that idea but I think it would be kind of cool though.
Also for my ugb landstill list I am probably going to do this since there is alot of threshold running around these days in big legacy tournaments besides those removal cards are pretty good against cephalid breakfast as well:
Top 16 - 2012 Indiana State Championships Currently Playing: GBStandard - Golgari Safari MidrangeBG RBWModern - Mardu PyromancerWBR RLegacy - Good Old Fashioned BurnR
Congratulations, Stuff! Good luck in Japan! Also, nice suit. I opened the pics and saw it, and "Sharp Dressed Man" started playing from my neighbor's room.
Haha, awesome. That's what we need - a suit that plays its own theme music. What I wouldn't give for one that let you walk into a room and play, say, the theme from a western or somesuch.
being outgunned has never held more meaning than now.
apparently walmart is selling $10 dart shotguns...so 5 kids on the floor have the shotties, 1 kid has a 6-shot dart revolver, and me? I'm stuck with a dart-gun pen with 2 darts and a single fire.
the only advantages I have are reload speed and concealability...so yeah, I get hit pretty often...
Heh, that reminds me of my college days. I spent the first year in the oldest on-campus housing, and there was a lot of roughhousing that went on. The second month I was there, two guys decided to have a foot race down the hallway. This turned out to be a spectacularly bad idea, given that the end of each hallway features a rather large window, and our rooms were on the fourth floor. The guy that "won" really ended up being the one that lost, seeing as how he broke out the window with both of his arms and cut himself up enough to warrant a stay in the hospital and several hundred stitches. Ouch.
Has anybody seen the commercial for "Tiny House" that turns out to be a commercial for Geico Auto Insurance, and Tiny House isn't a real show? I dislike that commercial quite a lot, because I really want to see Tiny House.
That commercial in particular I found to be annoying after the first couple of times. It's sort of amusing the first time you watch it, but after that you know what's coming, so it loses most of its entertainment value.
There is some good news, too. I did find a good gender identity specialist that has a program here in Ohio, and relatively close by. It's called the Gender Dysphoria Program of Central Ohio, and it's located in Columbus. I found her via a list of specialists created by members of the forum I joined, and her services come very highly recommended.
Money's still the big barrier, though, since I have no idea how much it could cost me to visit her. The thing that really gets me is that I don't know how long I have to wait to, well, to do anything. I'm sure it's on a scale of months - which is natural - but it could take years, which I'm terrified of having to face anymore.
It's hard not having health insurance, and I'd probably have to greatly postpone any plans I had for college if I want to get involved in this. Now, the more I think about it, the more okay of a choice that seems. I am worried, though, that that would be considered some kind of complication in the therapeutic process.
I'm pretty new to the idea of having autonomous control over my own choices, behavior, and appearance. As I said to another friend, I've always felt like my body was a containment cell, under someone else's power, rather than a vessel through which I could live and express myself according to my own wishes. So it's not like hormones are going to right out "fix" me, anyway. A slow process is probably best, even though I'd have to be able to afford it.
I still have to think about it and go over my options. My financial situation isn't very good but it's not hopeless, either. I think it may be the first time I seriously started planning something like this - that in itself has got to be something good, right?
Good for you. Whatever it takes for you to be the person you want to be, to live the life you want to live, go for it. Sometimes while we're waiting on our goals, they can seem so far away (as I know firsthand), but as long as you keep hope within you, you can make it happen eventually.
Stuff, I got your PMs, will respond when i get a chance, likely tomorrow.. Thanks for the response though
No worries. Thanks for initiating the discussion in the first place.

I've got all the avatar requests in my shop done now, but I've been so busy that I haven't had time to see about making something seasonal for myself.
Today, I'll be looking at options for airline flights to Kansai Int'l Airport, which is near Osaka. I'll also be putting my car up for sale in local papers, ad-takers, and anything else I can find. I'm heading in town in a few to use broadband for that, so it won't take forever and a day. I'll be back in a few.
Congratulations to Charmmaster on the 2000th post! As for a snoring glimmerdust nap, that would be awesome
I'm not sure if i'd be able to get my card to Lesurgo in time... I'll try tho..
How's everyone today??? Sorry i'm a little out of it today... Thinkin' bout stuff and just gonna be vegging as always.. not much to do here, especially since my interview (the one i was supposed to have tonight at 4) got pushed back...again.. to friday...argh...
EDIT: OUCH, Alacar... Sucks to hear that... I'm still feeling somewhat sick, but the sore throat has abated, which is good...
wow, alcar, Omna, zaphod, take care of y'selves now, everybody in the 'House is coming down sick...:(
I'm surrounded by people all day who are coughing, sneezing, bellyaching...I'm overdue for a bad cold just if I can hold out another 2 weeks I can make it to holidays without being ill.
If you're not already getting some treatment for that ear Alacar, get it soon. You could lose your hearing if it is bad and you let it go.
I've been absent the last few days because of A) being sick and B) Josh giving me my Christmas present from him early. FFXII: Revenant Wings. It's nice to know some things with the Final Fantasy name on them can be halfway decent.
@Golden Sun and othersuch games: I have to say, Golden Sun really wasn't my type of series. For me personally, there was something that seemed really off about the games and prevented me from enjoying them. Maybe it's that I'd played the spiritual precursor to the series, Beyond the Beyond, first and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I will say that I did love Mia, though. She kept me playing. The Camelot series that I love is Shining Force. I REALLY want to see a Shining Force 4 someday.
As for the Chrono games, it might be possible that a sequel could still be made. Monolith Soft is the team that used to belong to Square and produced Xenogears and the Chrono games, and now Nintendo owns them. There have been numerous patents put out by both Square and Monolith on game titles with the word "Chrono" in them, so who knows. Although if a sequel is made and is too much like Chrono Trigger or not enough like Chrono Cross I'll definitely have to pass.
Blah. I've been looking at flights, and I was about to start looking for places to advertise my car for sale, but I think I may be getting sick. I've been here (at the library) for a couple of hours, and I've had a headache that keeps getting worse and worse. My forehead feels hot, and I'm getting a lot of sinus drainage all of a sudden.
I hope it's just a fluke, but that doesn't stop me from feeling like crap right now. I'm going to drive home and then lay down or something.
Oh, and flights to Kansai run about $1200 to $1300 for the time period in which I want to leave. Most flights involve a stopover in South Korea to fly Korean Air from Seoul to Kansai. It's a little bit cheaper than what I expected, but at the same time, it's nothing to sneeze at, either.
I really appreciate the holiday avvy you did for me, Mr. Stuff, and I was going to put a mention in my banner. I have to overhaul it completely, though, because it seems that all the stuff I have in it is too much, so i need to reformat it...

Everyone's getting sick... including me. I woke up with a hella sore throat and I just woke up from a nap. Thankfully, I think it's just a cold so I should be over it in a couple days if possible.
I hope everyone who's sick is taking their medicine. Especially you Mr. Stuff. Gotta fight it off before it even starts, champ.

Alacar, heat up a relatively large rock on the stove, wrap it in a towel, and lay your head on it. That can get rid of earaches, even those caused by an infection. Trust me on this one. Whatever you do, don't get water in it.
Itinerant Soldier: Gargle salt water. Sure, it's yuck, but that works too. Failing that, try either very warm drinks (add in honey for its soothing and antibacterial effects) or cool drinks (but not icy; shock to the system).

Even though I'm very tired, I have to relay this to you.
I finally went out to replace my wallet/driver's license. We left the DMV and headed towards Tuesday Morning (a discount shop, I wanted this one lamp they have there) when I spotted this guy in a ski cap, ski mask, carrying two cash trays. I made eye contact for a split second then quickly looked away. He passed within a foot of me. After he passed, I quickly asked my mom "Did something about that not look right to you?" She didn't see him. I turned around to see where he went, but he disappeared. He didn't go into the nearby shop, couldn't have booked it to the Arc Thrift Store, which has a rear exit, because I would have heard the coins jingling in the cash drawers. I'm convinced he left in a car.
We get to Tuesday Morning and they close the store. My mom thought it was a big sale they were excluding her from. Those that are intuitive realize they were actually held up, at gunpoint, and the man I saw was the thief. The cops arrived due to phone call five minutes later. One cool point: The first cop, and the one I talk to, had an assault-type shotgun. It looked like the rapid-fire shotgun, and had a clip of five shells on the side. It was cool to see. I actually got a statement in (since I was the only one to see where he went), and we stuck around for an hour just in case. The perp got away with $600 in cash, at least.
This store only has two employees at any given time, both usually working the register. Perfect place for a heist. There are big posters on the front windows, disguising the perp, and the security camera couldn't see him due to a discount sign. Apparently, he just waited in line (with a ski mask on), then pulled something resembling a Beretta .9 mm on the clerk. The clerk thought he was kidding. He calmly replied with "Give me the money or I shoot you." Then he left, calm as can be, passing me moments later.
Apparently, he's stolen from this area before, from a laundromat not two hundred feet away.
It was exciting and scary at the same time. Especially since I"ve been having recursive premonition dreams of this event, though we were actually in the store in my dreams.
My mom and I went on a shopping binge following this. A pair of nice gloves, and a hat, for each of my coats, plus a scarf for my duster jacket. A second blanket to help keep me warm while sleeping (the room is cold at night in the winter), a swiss army knife so I can help her put together all the Christmas gifts, a new wallet... Basically, we were both shaken, and shopping seemed like the thing to do.
Awesome! I want to watch movies with you...
Nifty. First character I thought of when I saw her was Bellatrix Lestrange. (Can you tell I recently read through Harry Potter for the first time?)
I totally want to go play NVN2 now. First I need to acquire a monitor that's not crappy...

I hope everyone who's sick is taking their medicine. Especially you Mr. Stuff. Gotta fight it off before it even starts, champ.
**casts...erm...hands out NyQuil, Kleenex, and other brand name cold stuff**
Alacar, heat up a relatively large rock on the stove, wrap it in a towel, and lay your head on it. That can get rid of earaches, even those caused by an infection. Trust me on this one. Whatever you do, don't get water in it.
Itinerant Soldier: Gargle salt water. Sure, it's yuck, but that works too. Failing that, try either very warm drinks (add in honey for its soothing and antibacterial effects) or cool drinks (but not icy; shock to the system).

My helpdesk should you need me.
