It's good to take both, since, I believe, both focus on different things. The SAT was more rounded, as I recall, while the ACT was math-based. And yes, colleges will consider the ACT along with the SAT, and seem to prefer to use the ACT for placement purposes.
hehehe... Either that, or Hermione ... I don't have the tie though for Yomiko, unfortunately ...
Yomiko would be a great cosplay. Just mess up your hair a little bit, get a tie, etc. Though I've only done it once (as Amano Ginji from Getbackers), I have to say cosplaying is surprisingly fun.
Thanks (and thanks to kev) for commenting. It's relatively fragile, as a deck, but it fits my play style completely. I love decks that are reactive, and allow you to wait with instants in your hand to answer any situation that may come up. I also like playing with, stealing, or copying the opponent's cards. It's a natural fit.
Karas... hmmm. Perhaps something to put on my list.
Oh? I didn't know you had a list. What else is on it, if you don't mind my asking? I'm always curious as to what anime people are interested in.
@ACT/SAT
I took the ACT three times and the SAT once. The ACT affected my college placement a lot more than the SAT did, but it can vary depending on your individual scores and the school you apply to.
Fooly you got to play Cheon? That is awesome. Is he really as good as everyone says he is?
I would say take the ACT. You're a smart guy, so you would do well enough that it could only help. Plus, some schools take it instead of SAT II's (high power schools), so if you do well it makes you look even better.

Series: Aria the Animation
Genre: Sci-Fi, Slice of Life, Comedy
Episodes: 13
In the future, Mars has been terraformed into a mostly water-based planet, and renamed "Aqua". In the Aquan city of Neo Venizia, the main mode of transportation for city-goers is gondola, much like the ancient Earth city of Venice. Professional gondoliers called Undines perform the task of ferrying people to and from their destinations.
Three main gondolier companies exist in Neo Venizia: Aria company, Himeya, and Orange Planet. Akari Mizunashi, also known as Momiko (Pigtails), is an apprentice Undine at Aria company. Aria the Animation follows her adventure-filled daily life, as she meets and befriends members of Himeya and Orange Planet, cares for President Aria (the company cat and mascot) and does her best with her companions to complete the Undine training and become a professional gondolier.
Review:
This is certainly a refreshing series. You won't find any super-powered combat, epic quests, ridiculous love triangles, high schools, or any of the other done-to-death anime cliches here. Just a peaceful, easy exploration of life on the floating city of Neo Venizia. The company mascot, President Aria is one of the most hilarious and winning mascot creatures I have yet seen in an anime. While I've only seen about half of it, this one gets an A in my book. Save it for a rainy day, and enjoy one of the best sci-fi slice-of-life series I've seen since Mushishi.
Sorry to hear about the losses at States. My friends went, and I'm sure they lost a lot too. A LOT of people go to these events, and only one wins at the top.
Cosplaying: You should totally do it, Omna! Yomiko all the way. Just wear a long coat, mess up yer hair, get thick black glasses and a tie, and a short skirt And oh yes, a pile of old books.
As for me, we went shopping today, and got my brother in law a Guitar Hero controller for his XBox 360, since my sister preordered GHIII for his birthday. We're having a surprise party tomorrow

I believe there is no such thing as a fragile deck because any deck that fits your playstyle can be a very strong deck. The deck is only weak if you can't really pilot it correctly and also if the style of the deck doesn't match your playstyle can also play a big part as well.
@alacar: thanks alacar It is greatly appreciated.
Well anyway I am glad i have tommorrow and monday off. I am going to catch up on some video gaming myself. I will talk to you all soon though. Have a good night everyone!
well, here I am, pulling my first allnighter at college...not becuase I've got a lot of work to do (which I do...), but just because I stayed up until this late and figured trying to go to bed means I wouldn't wake up until 7 tonight...not good.

Morning Everyone, know what day it is today :sneaky:?
I went to a party last night. It was the first I've ever gone to because my new friends from work invited me. Apparently it was a bad party, but I didn't think it was terrible. I had a relatively good time, probably as much as I would have had at home. It was really awkward at times though, because the girl I asked out was there and she still is afraid to come near me :(.

About to head back home and do some homework. We have a game of mafia planned for Halloween, and we hope to get everyone on our floor of the dorm in on it.

I haven't been playing for even longer than Ceci, so any vote for me as strategist is wasted entirely...at least Kevin posted in the Legacy forums and tested decks. I haven't picked up a physical deck in almost a year.
I'm thinking of selling off some of my collection, and by some I mean "most everything that's not already in a deck". Have to move to another country soon, and I'm trying to pare down my physical belongings to enough to fit into a small rental car.

Hey now, none of that.
It's alright if people wish to support their frineds, but posting a link and asking people to do so is a bit much.
While driving back from the Cheesecake Factory in Denver, I got bored and thought, as I looked at the opposite side of the interstate, that there must be thousands of drivers that drive it every day. So I started counting the pairs of headlights I saw, starting at about halfway down my drive. Between that point and reaching home, I counted 900 cars even, the 900th car right before I pulled in front of my house (at 9:00 even local time, figure that out).
This, of course, is given inaccuracies due to lack of sight of headlights when my side of the road was lower than the other, or with obstructions, and a given amount of number skipping or repeating due to having to concentrate on driving. I didn't count the ones on my side as I may pass them and then be passed, and it was just too much work.
Since I started at the halfway mark (roughly), we can assume there were 1800 cars on the road that I passed. Assuming each car has an average of two people (this was from 8:00 to 9:00 at night, so no rush hour) like my car, we can say there were 3600 people driving on my route. In one hour. This would mean 86400 people driving on that 60-ish mile stretch of road a day. That's an absolutely staggering number. That's, of course, around 43200 cars. It's amazing they don't have to repave every week.
*Nominates Cecilia for Legacy Strategist* Good luck!
Thanks it is appreciated.

Just something I thought I'd put out there.
Yes the numbers are highly inaccurate (mainly because you're assuming each car goes over the same section only once per day) but here's something further to think about: Add in rush hour. Average number of cars on the road section must double, I'd think. At least. Also, add in that each car goes over each car length section of highway 1.5-1.75 times per day (reason forthcoming). Now think about things that are bigger and heavier than one car with two passengers - like big rigs and campers. The roads REALLY get torn up....

Ah, yes. I forgot about that no campaigning rule... Didn't that apply to signatures as well?
Anyway, this weekend was pretty tough for me as far as moods go. I've just been really blah for a bunch of private and personal reasons. I hope to get through them these next few days but there's also a chance it can only get rougher from here. Here's hoping the best.
Nai-- Idoes seem that a lot of cars travel on that road. I don't think even the highways here see that many cars. I am very jealous that you got to go to The Cheesecake Factory, though.

*chuckles* I wish I could go as Yomiko.. i have a red jacket along her style... its not brown though, unfortunately, and I don't own a tie... the hair being messy.. not too hard.. though my hair's light brown and a bit too wavy... Don't have the glasses though, unfortunately.. .
Good to see you both, Alacar and Stuffsy (Oh and I already noticed he's got two nom's to his name.. when he goes on the ballot, I'll happily vote for him... Where are the other ballots?)
I don't know if y'all visited my Sig Shop, ever, but I if you have, you've probably seen the banner.
Anyway, I wanted a new one, so that's what I made;
Now. My question to you is: Is this an improvement? Is it actually worse? Is it perfect? Should I totally head another way? Should I change a detail or two? Have any other suggestions, comments?
Thanks
Personally, I like the first banner.. but that's just me I love some of the other pictures on her site though.. the winter forest and the beaches were awesome..

As for me... I've been working on this stupid paper for a good while now... If I get finished with it, I may just fall asleep with my hearing aids in and clothes on to make sure i don't oversleep... But at this point I still need to finish an essay exam and study for a potential pop quiz tomorrow..
Plus my room is a mess, I need to clean it soon.. I might actually just take a few moments to play on my DS or to clean up around here, if I can manage the time when i'm not working on this stupid paper...
I also want to finish writing up a newsarticle summary thing which is due by Tuesday at 9am... So if I end up doing an all-nighter tonight, I can probably either nap after my classes are done, or go to bed REALLY early tomorrow.. It depends... Plus we've got some pretty freaky weather here.. Right now its 32 degrees and earlier today it was HAILING... and its been raining and really windy and stormy on and off all day..... Maybe its not that weird, but the hail was a surprise.... I've been getting these "Rochester, NY: Severe weather alert" things on my desktop Firefox weather thingie...
Anyway, its almost 3am and I might just try to get some sleep before class at 10am, so I'm going to go do my homework... Have a good day folks... Looks like we're both in good company, charmmaster, doing allnighters tonigth
