Mr. Stuff, you missed New Years while you were flying, and have to do 2007 over again. While it sucks to lose a whole year, you can at least be very successful while gambling on sporting events.
Crud, Mr. Stuff isn't going to see this. I have to go find a post I made a year ago and edit it, darnit.
And the last page has made me want chocolate. Luckily, I got a 5 lb. chocolate bar for Christmas, as well as a bunch of other candy.:D *Scurries off to eat DI chocolate*
Five pounds of chocolate?!
And I thought I got a lot of chocolate for Christmas. Anyway, I most certainly plan on enjoying it.
Careful there Krash dont want AoK or Yukora thinking im an adbot or Kroen or any other ban requirements (does that show i frequent the speak your mind forum a lot?).
*emphasis added*
Thank you for that. I'm not sure if you've been spending too much time in SYM or just not purposefully staying out of it, but either way, I don't blame you. Also, I think that comment is funnier than you expected for mods.
That said its really hard not to be a walking ad for chocolate... unless you are alergic i dont know anyone who doesnt have chocolate as at least a guilty pleasure.
Disclaimer: Sepiriel is not a chocolate adbot, he is however a chocolate advocate and encourages you to go buy/eat some right now (unless you cant due to medical issues in which case im sorry.)
I think we can all share this sentiment (at least those of us who do not have the incredibly unfortunate chocolate allergy). In fact, I have a habit myself of randomly eating chocolate at odd times of day (like a 1:00 pm snack?).
Holy heck... do I feel better. Yesterday, and all through the night, I slept like a log. There weren't any New Years celebrations around here as far as I could tell, and I didn't leave my room except to go down and have breakfast anyway. I just lay in bed and watched TV. I caught an episode of Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, some kind of tokusatsu show, and a couple of episodes of Doraemon. Other than that, I just watched a lot of sports and gameshows. I did catch some other things that were awesome, but I think I'll save that for my blog.
Oh, and happy New Years, everyone. It's 10:25 in the morning on January 1st here.
Good to know you're feeling better.
Also, are those Japanese game shows really as ridiculous as a lot of us Americans think? I think the poster child of Japanese game shows on this side of the ocean is probably human tetris (which, I must say, is absolutely hilarious to watch), but are they all like that?

Also, Happy New Year/New Years Eve for everyone. It's still December 31, 2007 for me (and will be for a little while), but I know it's 2008 for a lot of you guys.
Thank you for that. I'm not sure if you've been spending too much time in SYM or just not purposefully staying out of it, but either way, I don't blame you. Also, I think that comment is funnier than you expected for mods.
Well you can always sig it :p. had no idea it would make you react so much... since i dont know that many mods i was just expecting a chuckle
@Stuff: Yay for you...games hows are just hilarious there... a little creepy and perv some times, but damn funny can i expect a katana in my mail box this january?

And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

When it turned 2008, I was finishing the 4th episode of mythbusters I'd watched all day as there had been a marathon, watching Genshiken on youtube during commercials, and finishing my fourth can of mountain dew in 20 minutes. Pretty lame, but still fun.

I'll bet you wish you had a non-unglued/unhinged card that shared your first name.
Well its finally that time for me to post this and its been a great 5 years playing in the legacy format. From the time i learned the whole format from Belgareth to when he won the best legacy strategist award like a year or two later I always wanted to win the best legacy strategist award myself and now I have it from my hard work and huge dedication to legacy.
I had a bunch of up and downs playing in the format but that happens to everyone. I mean i had people talk bad about the decks that I would make but in my last year of my legacy career I even had some popular legacy players(Mainly Bardo who is moderator from the source though) look at some of the control decks that I would make and they turned out pretty solid decks from what they said.
I also would probably be still playing in the legacy format if I lived on the east coast playing in all of those huge legacy tournaments. However since I live in las vegas and there are no legacy tournaments here I decided to resign from legacy.
The players that I would probably miss the most are Belgareth and my funk team. They have been a big part in my success and my motivation to play or at least design decks for a high level of competitiveness in legacy. However my most favorite legacy moderators for any forums are Avatar of kokusho, Belgareth, Sapphiretri, Bardo, and Godzilla. I respect all of what they have done in the legacy environment and unlike a good portion of the legacy players that I see nowadays they can actually think outside the box and still do pretty well in legacy but of course they are just a very small example though.
The best legacy deck that I have either helped create or created myself is probably funkbrew. Devastater(Jake is his real name) displayed the blueprint of the deck and asked for help on it and alot of people basically dissmissed the deck until I came along. I helped devastater test funkbrew long hours on end just about every day and against the whole field. Now Funkbrew is known as an established deck on the source which is the toughest legacy site for any new deck to get any recognition so that was a really good accomplishment.
Another huge highlight is also winning the best legacy strategist award I never thought of dreaming of winning the trophy without your guys help. I thank you all that supported me and also voted for me. Although I really worked hard in the format testing and tweeking decks and hard work definitely paid off.
Anyway thank you all for reading my announcement. I am probably going to go for awhile to play some wild arms 5 and probably eat some lunch so ill talk to you all later. Have a great day everyone and happy new year! Best wishes to everyone. See you all soon.
Happy Mew Year ebullibuddy! Adorable cats there as always AoK. Hope everyone had as good a time as I had last night! With less drunkenness for those of you that are underage... I tell ya being over 21 is a curse sometimes. Kept getting fed tequila shots at the landlord's NYE party. Thankfully, I was able to stop after the sixth one (mind you I've had other alcohol in between)... mighta been a nightmare otherwise.
Anyways, I'm fine(-ish) now so it's all good and the night was totally worth it, IMO.
Well, Cecilia, it was fun while it lasted, eh? I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun playing casual for now Hey! You can finally use those restricted/banned cards.
@Cecilia: Well, I can't say I've ever frequented the Legacy forums or really anything related to Legacy, but I feel like that's a format that it shouldn't be too difficult to play casually. I know from personal experience that quitting magic is both a good thing and a bad thing, and to be honest, I really wish there were a good way for me to play casually.
Enjoy your life post-competitive Legacy, I'm sure it will be quite different but no less fun.
Well, Cecilia, it was fun while it lasted, eh? I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun playing casual for now Hey! You can finally use those restricted/banned cards.
Psiblast: High five indeed!
Yep it would be pretty nice to put land tax in white weenie or play with gush in any blue control deck you come up with in casual.
Also I always liked and really enjoyed playing casual especially in a 2on2 or 3on3 match. I liked casual even since i started playing magic so I really appreciate all of the old cards and circle of protection: green with force of nature is always awesome.
@krashbot: yes definitely and thanks for the sentiment as well as alacar too.
By the way I gave permission to psiblast to post up the legacy of the weeks from now on in the coffeehouse. I am sure you guys would not have any problem with that either.
Anyway I am going to go for awhile talk to you all later.
