Well I knew about the Indy sequel for months, but I didn't know the actual release date until a week ago. Three weeks ago I heard it was coming out in May 08 though.
Ugh.. Temple has to be the worst. Don't get me wrong, all three are great, but of the three, Temple is the worst. Why? The blonde (Willie). And the bugs. Not cool. Crusade has to be the best, because of Sean Connery. Fun times.
I'll admit that I haven't seen any of the Indiana Jones movies in a very long time, but I think my favorite is probably Raiders of the Lost Ark. Some of the scenes are shot in really interesting and cool ways that just make the movie really cool to watch.
@Mr. Stuff: Have an awesome time man. It sounds like you're still working on getting everything together and getting to where you're finally going, but you did make it to Japan in tact.
Make sure you let us know how everything goes and tell us when everything goes as awesomely (is that even a word?) as we all know it will.
@Omna: Good luck with your new job. It's good to know you've finally figured out what you're doing (at least for a little while). I'm sure you'll be just fine.
As for me, it looks like I consistently have an hour or two in the morning/midday region (that timing works anywhere in the US :p) to get online while I'm on vacation. So, I'll be around, but not as active as usual, as some of you may have noticed already.

Lol, dont like bugs huh? Thats okay....:). I like Crusade too, not because of Sean Connery;), Okay maybe just a little:D. I think Raiders of the Lost Ark is the worst, but I still like it too:).
Did you happen to see what the title of the new movie was called or did it say?
Hello everyone just got back from breakfast a little while ago just been checking out this pharmacy tech program that i will be attending sometime early next year.
I am also going to try my best to get up another legacy of the week either tonight or tommorrow night since I don't have work on Tuesday. So whenever I Have time I'll post a deck.
Also since Shah came back here is my new ugb landstill deck that i am currently working on and been winning alot of games against just about anything in the legacy format. I let Bardo(who is a moderator on the source which is the most popular legacy forums on the net) look at the ugb landstill list and it basically looked like the deck he plays except his has a little more utility such as academy ruins and vedalken shackles which i now run in RBU landstill and haven't lost a game against threshold and other aggro or aggro-control decks since.
hey Coffelings, just checking in...we've been painting our den today and my sister's boyfriend is spending the week with us, so I'm going to be all kinds of busy. just checking in to say hey.

@Mr. Stuff: Have an awesome time man. It sounds like you're still working on getting everything together and getting to where you're finally going, but you did make it to Japan in tact.
So... I am awake. Last night I made it through a long and harrowing bus ride, got picked up, and got to my hotel. I have had a few hours of sleep, a shower (twice), a thorough hair-combing/brushing/clothes-changing and otherwise invigorating refreshment. I put on some nice clothes, brushed my teeth... god, I feel human again.
It's snowing here in Yonago, and snowing pretty heavily, too. I hadn't expected that, but it definitely made the bus ride here last night interesting. And what's with this goofy key layout - all the non-letters are in exceedingly different places here (the internet computer in the hotel lobby). It took me some minutes just to figure out how to type "It's", because the quotation mark and apostrophe have been mapped to alternate functions of the top row of number keys. The apostrophe is Shift + 7.
I will blog in a bit. Right now, I need to go take advantage of the free breakfast they have here.
Greetings from America, Mr. Stuff! Glad you made it okay. Thanks for keeping us updated!
Also, if you DO become entangled in a fantasy adventure involving a team of inexperienced but tough group of bishoujo who are best friends and are given super powers by a semi-omnipresent force to battle the forces of darkness and evil who regularly concoct a series of semi-laudible plans which usually end in them getting foiled in a final attack that the girls should've made at the beginning of the battle... be sure to send us a picture.
well i am glad your trip went pretty good and safe Mr. Stuff. Enjoy your breakfast and yea its always nice to have a great breakfast that is free. Anyway I just wanted to check in for the night since i just got back from another 8 hour working shift and it was pretty long. Ill talk to you all soon though and have a good one. Take care and have a goodnight.
YAY! I bought a pack of Planar Chaos today, and they stuffed two rares and two uncommons instead of the normal in the pack! Better yet, my extra rare was a Damnation! YAY! I also got a Fungal Beheamoth. That's nice too.
Also, congrats on a successful journey Mr. Stuff. Hope everything works dandy for you here on out.

My one thing is cutting on chocolate as 1)I'm a chocoholic 2) Better looking skin.
So yeah, here's hoping I keep it
1)so you want to quit the delicious goodness of Hershey's cookies and cream? what about those new caramel+chocolate bars? and lets not forget the deliciousness thats fudge!!!!

I did that once. Except my normal border rare was a Detritivore when it was still playable. Kinda surprising when I opened it. That's why I liked Time Spiral - the multiple rare chances in the first two sets. Opening a tourney pack and getting EIGHT rares was always one of my favorite moments as a Magic player. For the breakdown - two foil rares, three normal rares, and three Timeshifts that WERE rares the last time they were printed.
My resolution this year is to cut down on sugar, partly because of my hyperactivity. Mind you, I do know the two, clinically, don't have **** to do with each other BUT I do notice it's easier to pay attention to crap when I haven't downed six Cokes and a half a box of Twinkies (exaggeration...). So now I'm pledging to keep it down as much as possible, while still getting some so I don't end up diabetic like half of my family is now...

That should be easy enough if you can avoid it. I know that wouldn't be much of a problem for me as I don't really like chocolate. My devil is caramel...
@Mike. Yeah, it would be easy...but I cannot avoid it I'm enjoying today as one of my last days. I won't cut it completely...just not take too much. (I sometimes eat up to 5 bars of dairy milk in an hour. Problem huh? :P). I'm not a fan of caramel though. It's too sticky. I only like it when it is in a chocolate bar
I actually dont care for Chocolate or Caramel even though they are both very good. Although I do love me some Chocolate covered pretzels(White or Regular I am not picky:p)
An very nice pull Bigtime pulling an damnation out of a planar choas pack is always impressive.
Good morning all i just got up just going to take a little time for me to wake up and probably going to eat pretty soon.
Have a good day everyone and take care.
Well it is finally time for another legacy of the week!
This week i will be covering mono blue control and I am going to try to get up another one as well before i stop doing legacy of the weeks.
Mono blue control has always been one of my top favorite decks in the legacy format ever since I started playing even though I Played classic uw control for a couple of years before i actually moved on to playing bigger and better control decks like landstill. However I was glad to see the mono blue control thread was in the deck to beat section of the source for a little while which was couple of months back.
Guile: I basically just threw this creature in there for the fun of it and surprisingly its an great late game beater for this deck and it can become pretty hard for aggro-control decks to block guile especially with engineered explosives and also vedalken shackles.
Morphling: Superman has always been one of the main reasons to play mono blue control since he is basically in one with mono blue control.
Rainbow efreet: Can also beat a good late game threat and you can basically block goyfs and other creatures continiously with rainbow efreet and then phase him out.
Meluko the clouded mirror: Another great late game threat and its ability can be use for large defensive combat purposes as well.
Engineered explosives: probably the most effective removal creature card against threshold and other aggro related decks.
Fact or fiction: Always has been one of the biggest cards that can swing edgy games into your favor when this resolves. Also one of the biggest and most efficient card draw spells for any blue control deck.
Vedalken Shackles: Shackles is amazing awesome in the current metagame with all of those threshold and other aggro related decks running around. This card can also give you the upperhand on decks like 43 lands and landstill as well.
Back to basics: Another great reason to play mono blue control. Back to basics trumps so many decks in today's format its not even funny. This card can almost single handly win you games against threshold as well.
Brainstorm: The best filter draw spell in legacy. Especially combined with fetchlands which potentially can give you much better draws later on.
Counterspell: I probably don't really need to say that much about this.
Cunning Wish: The ability to fetch for instants in your sideboard can win you some hard matchups or can get you out of tight situations. You also have polluted deltas and flooded strands to search for those off color lands to be able to use some of the cunning wish targets in the board.
Force of will: The best counterspell in legacy enough said.
Force spike: This spell is so techy against the likes of low mana curve decks and can be effective against storm combo decks but it doesn't beat stifle though in that situation.
Spell Snare: With a large abundance of the most playable cards at the casting cost of two in the format this counterspell is very effective.
Sideboard Card Choices:
Swords to plowshares: Best creature removal in the game. Also an effective and relevant cunning wish target.
Chalice of the void: Gives you an chance against storm combo and also is very effective against threshold and other low mana curve decks.
Echoing truth: The ability to send an backbreaking permanent back to their hand. Sweeping away at a horde of 2/2 zombie tokens or goblin tokens is always a good reason to run echoing truth when you have access to cunning wish.
Extirpate: Gives you an solid chance against ichorid bridge and also can be a great utility card against alot of other decks as well.
Slaughter Pact: Cost 0 the first time you cast it is always nice and the ability to have more answers against goyf is always good too.
Propoganda: Combined this with back to basics and your pretty much set against threshold and even against decks like 43 lands and landstill as well. Also a techy defensive enabler against other aggro or aggro-control decks as well.
Tormod's Crypt: Can slow down or even stop cephalid breakfast and ichorid bridge.
Matchup Analysis:
Cephalid Breakfast: Id say this matchup is about even preboard since you have more countermagic then they do and you actually can do something about their combo outlets in the form of creatures as well as back to basics is very techy against breakfast as well. Postboard gets better for mono blue since you have access to propoganda and tormod's crypts.
Threshold: This matchup can be about even as well or somewhat more in favor for thresh. Also forcing them to tap out their manabase is also a big key to winning since you have access to back to basics but this matchup does require thought though. Vedalken shackles can also help you enormously as well. Postboard gets better though since you have access to more creature removal and also propoganda. Also don't be afraid to use chalice of the void in this matchup either.
Landstill: This matchup can be about even. You have back to basics alot of countermagic and the ability to push through with vedalken shackles. Although the main card to have in this matchup is definetly back to basics but countering their standstills with either force spike or spell snare helps tremendously.
Ichorid Bridge: This matchup is hard especially since you don't really have relevant answers against ichorid bridge throughout game 1 except cunning wish into either echoing truth and extirpate. Postboard still gets fairly hard too but it is definetly better then preboard. Having access to tormod's crypts and propoganda helps amazingly against bridge.
Anyway that is all for this particular legacy of the week I am going to try to get up one more tonight though. Also I would like to thank everyone who voted for me for best legacy strategist and it was fun writing up all of these legacy of the weeks which i believe i have over 19 of them.
1)so you want to quit the delicious goodness of Hershey's cookies and cream? what about those new caramel+chocolate bars? and lets not forget the deliciousness thats fudge!!!!
2) I recommend neutrogena brand products together with a healthy diet (healthy doesnt mean you cant indulge in chocolates :p)
So, are you a walking advertisement now? You certainly sound like one after that post.
That said, I have to agree with number 1. I'm a huge fan of just about everything chocolate.
Happy New Year's Eve to everyone! Or Happy New Year's, depending on the timezone.
Good luck with the Rochester job, Omna. Sounds like you have a pretty cool roommate, too.
Aww. . . *Is lovesick* I am also here if you want to talk about that.
I cannot remember watching any Indiana Jones movie. It's been so long.
Nice pull, BigTime. *Yearns for his stolen Damnations*
And the last page has made me want chocolate. Luckily, I got a 5 lb. chocolate bar for Christmas, as well as a bunch of other candy.:D *Scurries off to eat DI chocolate*
So, are you a walking advertisement now? You certainly sound like one after that post.
That said, I have to agree with number 1. I'm a huge fan of just about everything chocolate.
Careful there Krash dont want AoK or Yukora thinking im an adbot or Kroen or any other ban requirements (does that show i frequent the speak your mind forum a lot?).
That said its really hard not to be a walking ad for chocolate... unless you are alergic i dont know anyone who doesnt have chocolate as at least a guilty pleasure.
Disclaimer: Sepiriel is not a chocolate adbot, he is however a chocolate advocate and encourages you to go buy/eat some right now (unless you cant due to medical issues in which case im sorry.)

Holy heck... do I feel better. Yesterday, and all through the night, I slept like a log. There weren't any New Years celebrations around here as far as I could tell, and I didn't leave my room except to go down and have breakfast anyway. I just lay in bed and watched TV. I caught an episode of Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, some kind of tokusatsu show, and a couple of episodes of Doraemon. Other than that, I just watched a lot of sports and gameshows. I did catch some other things that were awesome, but I think I'll save that for my blog.
Oh, and happy New Years, everyone. It's 10:25 in the morning on January 1st here.

Anyway that is all for this particular legacy of the week I am going to try to get up one more tonight though. Also I would like to thank everyone who voted for me for best legacy strategist and it was fun writing up all of these legacy of the weeks which i believe i have over 19 of them.

So, are you a walking advertisement now? You certainly sound like one after that post.
That said, I have to agree with number 1. I'm a huge fan of just about everything chocolate.

I don't care if I was framed for murder if I only got a warning I would let it go.

Oh, and happy New Years, everyone. It's 10:25 in the morning on January 1st here.
