@LittleDragon: If you have people who are mad at or upset with you (Reverse Social Link), try talking to those people every day they are available, either by finding them somewhere or going to club with them. It will take a while to repair the relationship, sometimes several days if you give them the wrong responses. Just keep trying, and be sympathetic and apologetic. Some characters are fickle and may take a few tries.
When it comes to building up Social Links, try to manage your time by weeks. Keep in mind which days certain clubs meet or certain people will be available - you may have to write the days down. Fashion Club is only Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, while culture clubs should be Mon-Wed (might have to double check). Some characters are harder to keep track of - the Sun Social Link only occurs on Sundays, while the Tower is every day but Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
You'll probably have to pick a couple of Links to focus on, then slow down with them and start on others once you get to a high rank.
Try to build up your character attributes while you do this. Remember that each portion of the day can be spent on something. If you have free time at night, you can sing karaoke to raise Courage, and go to the coffee shop to raise Charm. Study at least a few nights every week that you don't go to Tartarus. On your days off, you can also attend movies to raise any of these attributes. Remember to stay awake in class, and answering teachers' questions correctly is not a bad way to raise Charm. You may have to look some of the answers up if you aren't familiar with them. You can visit the shrine everyday to pay offering, which will most often raise your Academic rank, and if you ever become in a poor condition (Tired or Sick) visiting Mr. Edogawa in the nurse's office (left-hand hallway from the entrance, far left) will raise your Courage.
Also, it's easier to raise a Social Link if you have a Persona in stock that is the same Arcana as the Social Link. For instance, if you have Jack Frost (Magician) it's easier to raise ranks with Kenji, and if you have Inugami (Hanged Man) it's easier to raise your level with Maiko. But it won't be effective if you only have the Persona in your compendium - you actually need to have it available to you at the time.
I'd suggest focusing firstly on Social Links that correspond with Persona you'll use the most or the soonest. If you know you want a really good Justice Persona, spend time with Chihiro. If it's a Chariot Persona, go to your athletic club meetings and hang out with Kazashi more.
On the other hand, you could just concentrate on Links that you find the most interesting.

Congrats to ether and photon for being together for so long, so bloody jealous, my longest relationship was 2 years, before I did a typical man thing , but I envy you two, four years is a long time, hope its an inseperable bond, so happy for yous.
They've actually been together longer than that, it's just that it's been four years since we moved in together.
I wonder what the "typical man thing" was?
All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
*ninja poof*
Wooo, hi everyone!
today was teh pwn
Took mah purse to school, no one really noticed or anything, so I'm fairly happy
also got in to a bit of an argument with my brother on human rights, he responded with his regular "I'm a homophobic and trans phobic 13 year old just on the edge of puberty teenage boy with raging testosterone making me angry at everything outside my dim perception of the world and society" sort of responses. Yeah, Its really really depressing there's so much hatred within that shell of a person.
anywho, yeah. My math teacher went off at the whole class about how no one seems to care and that theres no reason the average class grade for the last test was a 78% in AP calculus. I got a 64% *sigh*
in any case, I'm sitting at a D in that class, about a 71% total, and the next chapter we're on seems fairly simple by comparison, so yeah, I think I'll be fine pulling my grade up.
in any case, today generally wasn't too bad

Hey all, just got back from my first "day" of school this year. It wasn't much of a day, only 2 and a half hours. Though I did just get back now at 5pm after leaving at 630am ...ended up doing a bunch of other stuff after the school day really ended. Day started off fine, met a bunch of people I hadn't seen over the summer, and then went to my first class, AP Comp Sci. This is where I become surprised, as before I had not had a programming class in which I actually had real work. So the workload just today has pretty much made me realize senior year might be more challenging and not as laid back as I thought. But it is an AP class, and I should have suspected that. After that class, I got the rest of my schedule, which was full of errors. I went down to the office to fix that, and like many others, was almost given walkarounds of what classes I was given. However, I explained that I was told before what my schedule would be over the phone, and they were easily able to change it to that, unlike the unlucky majority that just got stuck with other classes they were given.
Following class, we had a grade-wide assembly discussing the random policys that we have known for the past 10 years, not many of which we actually follow or have enforced. The funniest part was a "Motivational Poster" saying "This is a Safe Campus", with some random undertitle. Oh how we are going to make a crude joke out of that and the huge phallic shaped orange "Barriers" that are to protect us.
When that was done, me and a group of people met up at the local GamingCafe thing place near the school, and hung out for a bit. However, we got bored and the place got overcrowded after a while, so we left to do other things, which you don't want to hear, involving us buying a "My Little Pony" tent and a 5-year old's bike from the Thrift Store and riding it around the Lowerclassmen outside the school (11 and 12 graders had school this morning, 9th and 10th in the afternoon).
And here I am now, doing my Comp Sci work and just talking to people, seeing if they are in any of my classes.
Nothing to fear but fear itself...so they say...but the Pope and Flash are both pretty scarey... O_O
I told you you needed to stop making excuses for yourself, and it is paying off.
Too bad about your brother. Though honestly, it is a pretty typical response from someone his age. He is at the age where he feels he knows everything, but sadly he doesn't. Not much you can say or do. On the bright side, having your brother totally against you might give perspective to your parents and force them to defend you.

Well he doesn't even know yet, he probably suspects that I'm gay though or something. I dunno, I think he just needs to understand that his opinion isn't everyone else's opinion. In any case, my parents don't usually defend me when me and my brother get into arguments like that, so i dunno.

There is a big difference between "Gimmee back my game controller" and "I hate you, you ***" or whatever other gay/trans derogratory word he may choose. Kids argue and fight with each other, they are right to leave you to your own battles, mostly. But when something that big comes up, if your parents are even half assed doing their job they will step in.

That statement disturbs me sweety. Your family seems very narrow.
I wish I could help.
Best I can do is listen when you need me and to remind you my doors are always open to you. Remember, they were the dumb ones who gave you a car "Hey I have an idea, lets make her feel alienated then give her a means of escape...we are the best parents ever!!!!"

I guess its just more that my mom tends to not have opinions of her own, or at least never voices them, and my dad seems to think I have this "i must always be right and I'll go to any length to prove people wrong" complex or something...
Generally, I keep my opinions to myself at home anymore, because they're always met with opposition. as I've tried to tell my dad, i don't spend so much time away form my family because i don't want to be a part of it, I stay back because conflict inevitably arises, and my voice is nearly always suppressed when that happens.
I dunno, its eventually going to come down to "either you, my family, can stand by my side through all of this and stay my family, or you can stand in my way and become a barrier, a barrier to be overcome and forgotten"

Maybe it is time to say something to this effect honey. It hoenstly seems they are the only thing truly standing in your way. Your friends accept you, you even took a purse to school and are wearing some girls clothes now.
Ultimately it is their choice whether they support you or not, and your choice whether you can live with what level of support you get. How many walls can you walk into before you start looking for a door instead?
just got back from school and am about to start on Guren Lagann episode 6 (weak homework load)
how's it going, im going to do the impossible....Im going to build a multiplayer deck.
Now considering my predisposition its prob going to be a very evil and comborific deck, nonetheless its for a casual nonrated enviroment which is a massive First for me
2x Kiki Jiki, The Mirror Breaker Kiki is a house with Seedie in play.
1x Niv Mizzet, The Fire Mind Draw a card on each players turn, and do a damage to something. Sign me up.
1x Squee, Goblin Nabob I love Squee so much, always have. He is mainly here for the Bonded Fetches. Were I to get another Muse, she would take this spot.
4x Linnessa, Zephyr Mage She becomes horribly busted with a Muse in play.
2x Seedborn Muse The Meat of the deck. I need at least one more though.
2x Krosan Tusker Combines land search, deck thinning, and card draw in one card. This slot is somewhat experimental. To be honest, the deck started really working once I added these though.
4x Coiling Oracle Great accelleration. Can chump early if needed.
4x Solemn Simulacrum Coloreless mana fixing, abusable with Kiki, jump blocker, draws me cards.
1x Mystic Snake Helps provide locks with Kiki and with Linnessa
2x Draining Whelk Because I currently only own one snake :'(
2x Bonded Fetch Draw a card on each players turn. Dig,dig, dig. Awesome with Mizzet.
2x Eternal Witness Amazing with Kiki.
2x Goblin Sharpshooter Its drawback becomes moot with Muse or Kiki out. Owns swarm-type decks.
2x Anger Really easy to get in the trash, and makes alot of fun plays possible.
4x Time of Need Fetches much of the Key players in the deck. Especially fun with Linnessa in play.
1x Urza's Factory A way to use extra mana with Muse out.
1x Minamo, School at Waters Edge Breaks Kiki and Mizzet, and if enough mana is available also breaks Linnessa.
I see alot of Muse decks that run Planar Portal and use it to tutor for what they need to win. These are great, but predictable and generally do little until the Muse and Portal are in play. This deck is designed to abuse the interaction of a larger number of cards and thus be more versatile.
Changes? I need some Breeding Pools for sure, and the Whelks should be Snakes. Squee should be another Muse.
Looks like a pretty cool deck. I was wondering would wordly tutor be good in here so you can get what you want earlier. Too bad you can't use survival of the fittest though since it works well with your nabobs just some thoughts of course otherwise looks alot of fun to play.
Hee hee. Yeah, I don't really have a lot of investment in shoes either.
But it can be really hard to find nice clothing that both fits you and has the kind of look you want. This weekend I went clothes shopping, and it was a frustratingly depressing experience. I still don't feel quite right after it. It's like there is in invisible barrier keeping (apparent) males from comfortably looking at women's clothing. But besides that, all of the clothes that I'd actually have liked to wear wouldn't have fit me.
I have a ton of shoes, because when I find some I like and they're on sale, I buy them. I have a large plastic tote in the bottom of my closet chocked full plus about ten pairs laying around the house.
Completely different, but I hate trying to find clothes that fit and are affordable. I've learned to shop the clearance racks and pray they have my size. I don't pay full price for anything and ItSo can definitely vouch for that.
Shoe shopping is irritating at the best of times. Shoe shopping with a woman is something to be avoided at all costs. It's actually worse than clothes or jewellery shopping. Just utterly horrific.
Soooooo true!!!!! More men need to take note of that. And women who shop together too.
Ah the typical man thing, being "of that age", being a 90% straight male, I was being an idiot and doing the typical man thing of looking at other women while in tow with the girlfriend I had at the time, generally I'm much different, but I was having an off day, ohhh before anyone asks why I'm only 90% straight is because I think 10% of me loves or is infatuated with Toumas Holopainen from Nightwish damn my angina!!!
Wait! You got dumped just for looking? If that's the case, I think there may have been some insecurity issues. I've never cared if a boyfriend of mine looked or even commented. Maybe that's just me o_O.
That would be all three of us, actually, although myself somewhat less than the other two. The only other person I know in here that's even seen it is Dreia, and only because it was on the spring guide. Sir, you officially are awful (although, at the video, I am somehow more or less not surprised). I think I died inside a little upon seeing the cover.
I definitely don't watch the version Sep mentioned. And I only watched the one episode of the clean version/anime, but it was pretty good. Making adult films out of an anime is kind of sad in my opinion.
Seph--sorry to hear about your bad day. Hopefully things start looking up soon.

I construed this as real-life advice for a painfully long way into the post.
Actually havent started watching yet i've been thinking of logging into crunchyroll and star watching but i keep forgeting (plus my connection sucks which means 1 episode takes at least an hour maybe 2 to load, damn this constant rains)

Well I hope everyones first few days of classes will start out well for them. I am just glad I don't have to study anymore but I did enjoy being in the University library studying it was pretty cool. Well another day of work for me this time it isnt a 8 hour shift so i will be back in no time I am thinking about taking a nap when i get home though. see you all soon.*hugs and blows kisses* Goodluck to everyone going to classes.
Have a good one Kevin. I'm off to my classes shortly. Just waiting on my mom to get ready (she needs the car so she's gotta take me.) Today I'm gonna be a little behind in geology, and I should probably start working on my writing class stuff, but.. ugh. I can't wait for acting today though.
Hello everyone! What's everyone up to today? I'm just copying a few files to transfer over to my new laptop. I got it the other day, and its a pretty good deal, methinks. For $850, I got the laptop, a carrying bag and a printer. The "top" itself is as good or maybe even slightly better than my desktop. Now I have something to entertain me on trips, and for school when that gets started. I'm happy!
Other than that, I've got work for the rest of the week until Sunday. Kinda bleh, but it shouldn't be too bad. I've got to go clean the kitchen floor, so I'll see everyone later!
Hi everyone, hope you're all OK, I don't know if you know, but the school year system down here is different from the American one. Down here, the year starts in February, we get our short vacations in July (which is the beginning of winter here), And the long one starts in December and lasts until January, so I'm just in the beginning of my second semester this year. I've had Biochemistry and Calculus 1 tests today, Bio went well, but I think I've screwed up in Calculus. So, how's everyone doing?
