FLCL: It's because you can't have your 450x150 as one large image. You have to split it up into two blocks: one that's 300x150 and another thats 150x150. Upload them both and put them on photobucket then align them right in your signature (the [*center] command helps greatly with that).
That's funny.. cause there's a slash in your sig that makes your banner off center.
Good for you, Lilly!

Ugh I am going to be working on only a few hours sleep today. I got distracted last night with how gorgeous Pete Burns of DoA is, especially lately....he's kinda becoming a hero of mine rather fast.
Anyways, here is a "news" piece a friend linked me too which I found awesome
Hello folks, the 'house is slow tonight I see. Anyone miss me? Actually, you'll probably have to keep missing me, because I'm sneaking on the computer to say this in the first place. In case you don't know, my dad "banned" me from using the computer, and he also deleted my chat program . My mom and I are in the process of letting me go online for 30 min a day, but he's really stubborn. And before anyone asks, no, don't ask why he did it all, I don't want to talk about it, just know its a really stupid reason.
So, here's some good news about me, I got a job at a movie theater a month ago. The pay is good for how difficult the job is, and I'll probably get a raise sometime in September too.
Omna: I hope if I can get my dad to let me use the computer again I can be moved back to the regulars list ;p.
I'll try to sneak on again and see if anyone responds ;).
Welcome back KK! Good to see ya again. Congratz on the job and I hope your gonna post frequent again. Im sure Danica wont mind to add you up in the regulars list again.
Hmm...we are near 1800...do I get this cookie? And no this is not a snipe, I just woke up and got a hold of the computer while my dad is out working in the yard.
FNM: Why do you sound dissappointed over that record FLCL? And the Ringleader is a pretty nice card too. While there have been better, it still looks nice (the Ringleader is still the card right?).
KK: That sucks what happened with your dad and your internet, but hopefully things will get worked out soon.
ep: Grats on gettting a car, now have fun with the insurance rates (:P)...though they can't be as bad as mine are, and I haven't even gotten in an accident ever.
Banners: So thats how you got a large banner. I could never figure out how to work it (but my idea I had for the banner is on the other computer, that has no power cord working, so I can't get that until next week).
Being as my dad is having to spend most of today and tomorrow working on the phone, this means that this is probably the last I will have for a bit of internet access. See you all sometime between Thursday and next Saturday. I'm off to go bowling for now.

Thats a funny reason to lose sleep Saki. He isn't THAT gorgeous.
By the way, that "news" story was quite hysterical. And I agree, we are too precious to risk.
Thank you everyone for the congratulations on the car. It has been a long time coming. We've been having a lot of money troubles lately and we are finally getting into the clear, which is one of the most gratifying things I've ever seen.
@FLCL: Congrats on the 4-1 at FNM, I 3-0-1'd last night, which as usual, highly profitable.
Lately I've been feeling like I've gotten to find out who I really am. And it's not a bad thing, but after years of pretending, I've found myself; for now at least. All I can say is that it has made me happy.
Late 40s and he looks like that. Makes me feel like I may not be too late to be who I want and need to be. I love him dearly for that. And he is so outspoken and out there. (I say he because while he currently look like a woman and does often mention his manhood as a curse, he still goes by a male name and wants to be accepted as a man)
Congrats to Nemcon on the 1800th post !! Good luck w/ getting that replacement power cord!
ep. - Awesome on the car! Ryan used to have that kind of car!
Sorry to hear about your troubles with your dad KK... If you come around more often I'd be happy to put you back on Regulars.. And congrats on the movie theater job!
I'm exhausted and i need to finish my thesis analysis part once and for all...
Going to hang out with Ryan today.. last night we hung out too... it was a lot of fun.. we went to play Magic at Tatnuck (the local bookstore) after dinner, but it was closed early (it was 9:30 by the time we finished dinner)... so we tried Starbucks.. but they were also closing in 10 minutes, but the lady behind the counter knew sign language and she suggested Unos, so we went there and got a couple sodas.. Five bucks for 2 sodas... rip off... but I think cuz Ryan got refills, that was probably why... So we played our draft decks there, and then we went back to my place around midnight and kept playing a couple more games, and it was just a lot of fun..
And today we're going to probably go to lunch somewhere, then play a Xth draft... I'm curious to see waht Xth does in draft... and then maybe play some videogames... Should be fun!
But I need to finish my thesis first...... Got an hour and a half to do it.. less if I shower b4 he comes... So I'll talk to you soon
Just want to say sorry I haven't been around.. been kind of busy here in Boston and such...
I watch that over and over and I just can't stop laughing.
Anyway, my tummy hurts and I just finished my entire english assignment.
One down, three to go.
Well, I'm 100% 50/50 that I'm going to be using "Well, I'm hermetically sealed to the bike!" as my next custom. Either that, or "Kudos, me! I made myself pregnant!"

That reminds me.. at some point I need to save money to buy all of id Software's games (Quake, Doom, Hexen, and Commander Keen) for something like $60-70. It's kinda silly, but once I buy them, I will be able to download and play them from Steam permanently, and it's about time I did that. Them games are too good/classic to let slip.
Well, I'm 100% 50/50 that I'm going to be using "Well, I'm hermetically sealed to the bike!" as my next custom. Either that, or "Kudos, me! I made myself pregnant!"

Today I'm working on my maths assignment due tomorrow and the checkpoint stuff we're doing. And I'm working on my drama assignment and finishing my art one.
Hello everyone. Sashiburi da, ne? (Been a while, eh?)
I've caught a mood of late which has resulted in me just not feeling like posting on the site. I don't know what it is - I think I just needed to take a break from things for a bit. Hence, I've been staying away, keeping busy with other things. FLCL7777 will be pleased to know I marathoned the entire run of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu today. I've applied (and have been applying) to more teaching positions in Japan, as well as an assistant teachership at a university in Georgia. I've got more applications to get out tomorrow, ones which require pictures of both my documents and myself, and so I'll be scanning things and uploading photos a lot.
I also saw Superbad, which was quite enjoyable and funny overall (OK I also will admit, I'm still the immature person that laughs at crude ***** jokes...but wasn't that part of the main goal in the movie?).
Lowbrow entertainment (meaning crude sex/drug -centric humor) never really was my thing - rather than find it entertaining, I often find it insulting or am otherwise offended by it. I tend to stay away from this genre of movie. All of my friends in college were fans of shows like Family Guy and South Park, but I never was. It's just my personality, I guess. My mentality is too straight-laced to really enjoy that sort of thing. I will watch shows like this on occasion, as part of a group, but I never really feel comfortable doing it.
Hello and goodbye...yes, it is true, i am formally and permanately leaving mtg salvation for personal reasons, family stuff and school stuff. And to think i was so close too 1000 posts too, lol. I'll miss all of you very much...except all the new people (sry ive just never talked to you before) BUt who knows...perhaps in a few months when my life has straightened out i may return,
You'll be missed - but then, we were missing you already, weren't we? Regardless, enjoy your life, and don't forget to stop and have fun once in a while. May you never be without a good anime.
When I graduated, my parents said they would pay for me to come out to america to visit my dad's sister and family. I wanted to just come for a couple of weeks, but my dad kept saying I should come for as long as I could, so I let him convinse me to come out for a month. I had a bit of an emotional breakdown the day before I left cos I really didnt want to be here this long, but I didnt want it to seem like I was being ungrateful to my dad etc, so I just got a lot upset... one of the reasons I didn't want to come out for so long was that Eric and I went to two different Universities, so throughout the last five years we have only been seeing each other each weekend, if that and I kinda promised myself that once I was finished, I wouldn't stay away from him that long again.
But anyway - the long and short of it was, I came here for a month. But then the problem became more evident... My aunt and uncle are both working from early till about 7/8pm each day and so I am pretty much left with Marie-Claire (my cousin), not such a huge problem, except - god bless her - she is a selfish brat. I mean, I kinda understand it, she is 18 and about to go to college and so wants to see all her friends before she leaves... but she was the one who said I should come just before she goes, but all she has been doing is going out with her friends, none of whom I know, and sometimes she doesn't even take me along.
I have found that America - especially here in the suburbs (I think thats what its called... Lexington residential neighbourhoods) - is really not made for someone on foot. I can't drive - not legally at least - and so I am stuck in their house, and the times when my aunt and uncle arent working they never offer to take me anywhere. It's just generally driving me insane. I have found the majority of my month here (I only have a week left) has been spent doing things that I could just have easily done in england - with Eric. I have read all the books I brought with me (when I thought I wouldnt even get through one of them!) and I have just sat in the basement watching films. M-C took me shopping in the mall one day - which was very fun - and the only time we weren't with one or other of her incestuous group of friends (as in they have all dated each other at least once!).
Thank you, Sam, for sharing that. I'm always glad to see members of the 'house coming together to support someone in their time of need, and I do want you to know we are behind you 100%. We've almost all needed to vent or just share our feelings here at one time or another. It's true, most of America is not designed for any form of transportation besides motor vehicles - we have our lovely auto industry to thank for that. It's a shame, but car culture has become so deeply entrenched in the American mindset that there seems to be little hope of changing it now. I wish you the best in keeping everything together and staying positive in a tough situation.
(for any Megaman fans that don't get that, it's based on this)
Tonight, due to an unfortunate electrical storm, our power at the house is down. I'm typing this up from my parents' business in town. I've been sending out applications, mostly, and I still need to swing by the local pharmacy and pick up a prescription. I really needed to do AotW tonight (and this one is special - it's AotW's 40th issue), but alas, due to power being out at home and me not having the software here in town, I find myself unable. I've not missed a week since I started it back up, so expect it for sure tomorrow.
Hey hey guys.. I think I've taken the route of ol' Stuffy to not really seeing too much incentive to post. This will undoubtedly change come Monday, when my classes officially begin. Wish me luck.
Until then, I plan on watching Outlaw Star tonight and enjoying my Sunday before the plunge into college.
I would have posted by now, but...yeah. First of all, there doesn't seem to be anything to talk about in the 'house these days. Second, and most important...Persona 3. Yeah.
another awesome day, and a bit of a revelation
Got up fairly early, went shopping with my friends, cept this time I actually bought something.
it was just jeans, and this jacket thing I found that I loved, but still, I had the courage to not only try stuff on in dressing rooms, but actually buy girl clothes. Its a huge step for me
so yeah
Edit: completely forgot my revelation thing
it was that there is no reason to be afraid of people being uncomfortable with me. If they are uncomfortable with who i am, that means they fear me on some level, and If I'm afraid of them, they control me, to an extent. If they fear me and I don't fear them, I have power over them.
Hi, guys, I'm back from the dead, but only temporarily, and for academic purposes.
I need your help badly, and I don't know who else to go to but you guys, since you guys know a lot of things the people in this side of the world don't know. You see, I have to make this report, which is due on Tuesday. There's this character, in a short story, who I must diagnose, and her imaginary friend is the symptom.
Here are their basic info:
The narrator (no name intentionally)
1. Age is between 25-35
2. Female
3. Single
4. A teacher
5. Middle class
6. Lives in Quezon City (a city in the Philippines)
7. Graduated from a non-Catholic school
8. A Catholic
9. Eldest among siblings
10. Has an imaginary friend
11. An anarchist
12. Loves to sing
13. There's a 'gap' in the family (no communications, etc.)
14. Libidinous but still a virgin
15. Hospitable
16. No peace of mind
17. Not delusional
18. Not an addict
19. Suicidal
20. Violent
The Imaginary Friend
1. Calm
2. No job
3. Sensitive
4. Just came into the narrator's life suddenly
5. Androgynous
6. The idea of it being a real human or a figment of the imagination is not certain
7. Is capable of having sex and getting girls pregnant
8. Many kids
9. Knows how to get along with other people
10. No one know he exists
11. Like a rat (i.e. comes in and out as he pleases to get what he wants)
The gist of the story is about a girl who "meets" this guy in her house, and they talk about whatever, and then they have sex, and have lots of kids, and the narrator blows bubbles and puts her kids inside so they can float away.
Now, what I diagnosed her with is the Doppelganger Syndrome. The syndrome is rare in adults, because they believe that they have a "twin" or an invisible friend accompanying them.
I need your opinions, guys. I'm going to piece them together and compile them in one big report. If you know something about it, please email me at mytasantiago@yahoo.com
I have work tommorrow from 1pm to 9:30pm its going to be long but oh well hopefully ill get tuesday off.
