Milling is amusing to me, but not the stupid Dimir style milling. I like to make them draw 5 cards a turn. (B/G is my favorite milling combo, btw. ;))
I personally like Millstone. I use it with howling mines and Chronosavant in my Snow White immortality deck in Standard.
What Ive seen to mill the best so far was that cool Mono U Solidarity lists in legacy and Vintage.
What Im feelin right now..
I miss those times when Im on vacation. Im always on the number 1 spot in the number of posts in the house. I can even reply to posts even faster than Bloodydoves. Anyway Ill always be a regular droppin by saying my opinions and stuff but not as frequent anymore cause Im like graduating and stuff..
Well Im your Hunter44, your original Filipino and loyal Mamelon fan.:p

So yeah, new thread again. I don't like the title in the least, but whatever.
@The Alchemist: Danica, you obviously weren't reading the same book I did. That's a wondrous piece of literature that's truly the most life-affirming thing to come around in a long time. I loved it and I'm going to re-read it soon.
My least favorite author is a tie between Robert Jordan and R.A. Salvatore. They're both mind-numbingly boring authors with no idea when to let the characters speak for themselves.
I'm probably brusque right now, but it's no big thing. I'm incredibly bitter about some other things going on, both in clans I'm a member of and in places like the Inn, so it's coloring my reactions to things on the site. Also, Persona 3 got pushed back to August 15th and it pisses me off. Boo.
You are such a grouch today. You should get off the computer and let me rub your belly.
Well, for one thing I have...issues with a couple of members. It isn't anything I want to bring up, really, but it certainly influences where and how often I post these days.
The Inn is bothering me for a couple of reasons. As I mentioned in the last thread, there's a pretty big problem with people joining campaigns and then just losing interest and dropping them. And like I said, this wouldn't be much of a problem for me if my players would actually let me know that they weren't interested in playing anymore. This never happens, though. What I'm left with is deadening threads where one or two people need to post to get things moving and those people never post, which kills the campaign and causes the OTHER players to lose interest as well. It's...vexing.
Yeah, it sucks, but it happens. I am sorry you are feeling bad about it, though, cute boy. But hey, you are always welcome to start up a campaign IRL.
Hey ethersphere i have to tell you something there is this crazy dungeon in dragon quest 7 where the land that you walk on is like your walking on cubes. I found out how to get through it but it seems really complicated at first to get through the dungeon im going to try to get through it tonight but it seems complicated in general and anybody can get easily confused and being random attacked by level 37 monsters doesnt help either especially since im still averaging about level 32 between all 4 of my characters.
Love,
Cecilia

While it is true that I get to enjoy it anyway...I don't like waiting for new games, especially if those games are Dragon Quest or MegaTen games. I'm in one of those states I get into every few months where I sort of jones for a new game and can't stop twitching/feeling cold/muttering to myself. So yeah.
I was more than a little irked when I found out it was because of the art book. I mean, I'm VERY happy to be getting the book and the soundtrack CD with the game, but I want the game most of all ;__;
@Kev: It...might be that I haven't played DQ7 in a long time, but I seriously don't remember that dungeon. Is it the bonus dungeon where you fight God?
Yes Ryan, you fight and defeat GOD in a Dragon Quest game. Condescend away.

No the crazy thing its a regular dungone that i have to get through lol. Im trying to get the wind shirt if that lights up some memory cells. Anyway i thought it was one of the hardest dungeons ever in dq7 other then the dark ruins in dq8.

OH, OKAY. I only vaguely remember, but I remember nonetheless. Man, I haven't played through DQ7 in such a long time that it's starting to fade =(
There are a lot of sides to me that most people don't see online. That's how I act a good 75% of the time around the house.
Indeed. I don't know why it's so hard to believe that Josh can be a sweet guy. Seriously.

Because... it's just not possible? He's just so.... Mr. Burns-y all the time. It's like saying Mr. Burns gets warm and cuddly, and that's just never gonna happen. (/joking :P)

I liken him more to Leon Geeste from Star Ocean 2. Cuddly but teeth-gnashy.
Also, when I'm upset I can be much worse than him, believe me. Thankfully I'm a pretty easygoing guy and not a lot really upsets me, so yeah.
Also...Josh, Mamelon and myself are referred to as the "Coffeehouse Trio" or somesuch. I never knew this.
You're not alone. Even if there is no US release for the remakes the DS is region-free so you can import should your heart desire. I region-free!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a US release, though. Although...I'll puke my guts out if they rename the spells the way they did for DQ8. That was more than just inappropriate.
Regardless, I think a US release is imminent. Yoichi Wada has been tip-toeing the issue for some time, and DQ8 was wildly popular in the US. I'm really looking forward to DQ4 and 6; one is a perfect high fantasy romp and the other is the inception of the series' awesome job class system. We can't go wrong ^___^;;
Also, I had no idea you liked Dragon Quest, Crimson!
EDIT: OMG .. the Outsiders was an incredible book! I forgot who said it, but damn.. that's NOT a bad book...
Ditto on that. I actually had to teach "The Outsiders" to a group of LEAP lvl 3 students for my assistant teachership in college. I brought in old clips of Hank Williams and other cultural references that were in the book, and made crossword puzzles based around the chapters. It was pretty fun.
Quick Aside: i had no idea what lolicon meant, though it was an anime title and so i asked one of my anime-loving friends if he had seen it, after this point i learned the meaning of this word and must inform something very creepy, the friend i talked about earlier who enjoys preteen style anime is into this lolicon(actually is a die hard fan who only, and i mean ONLY like this type of anime genre) *shudders* my kids are definitely not spending time with him, just too creepy.
Ahem. As I was saying...
Lolicon anime loves Magic: The Gathering.
First episode of Moetan:
Thank you and goodnight - MTG not only in an anime, but in one of the most disturbingly loli anime I've ever seen. I have yet to re-download the episode (after deleting it in mild horror soon after watching) and verify this with my own eyes, but rest assured, I will do so soon.
MEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THE GOLDEN COMPASS!!!!!!!!!!! I miss that book! I read the first and second one at least twice, but i never actually got around to reading Amber Spyglass... When I first read the books, they only had the two, then Amber Spyglass came out later.. I haven't had the opportunity to pick it up.. I really should re-read the whole series..... Same with Narnia.... and practically every book I read as a young'un!
EDIT: Right now I'm still reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows... On page 502 right now
I'm re-reading "The Runelords" saga by David Farland right now, since the fifth book just came out. I can't wait to get to it, as I haven't read the fourth one yet either. I'm halfway through the second book right now. It's such an simple, yet masterfully executed concept for a fantasy world. The basic idea is that with a sort of magical branding-iron, attributes can be transferred from one person to another. You can only give one endowment, but you can take many. Attributes that can be transferred include voice, sight, brawn, wit, grace, metabolism, stamina, and glamour. The magical link only works as long as both people are still alive, so the person who suddenly loses their strength, or their stamina, or their wits becomes a "dedicate" and must be cared for. On the flipside, most realms are protected by force soldiers with several endowments of grace, brawn, and stamina, soldiers which can run all day and night and fight with the strength and speed of many men, capable of tossing regular warriors aside like toys.
One man, Raj Ahten, a king in his homelands, seeks to become "the sum of all men", and has taken thousands upon thousands of endowments. He has enough stamina to instantly regenerate any wound or cure any poison, and enough glamour to turn the minds of men with a glance or a simple word. He has enough endowments of wit to recall every last exact detail of every experience he has ever had at will. He has enough endowments of metabolism that he moves and thinks at a rate six times faster than normal men, and can run at hundreds of miles per hour. The only problem is, he wants to take over the world, naturally, and the northern kingdoms have to band together to stop him. There were talks of making a movie out of it at one point, but I'm not sure if there still are.
I got my pictures of New York back today. They turned out rather well for a disposable camera. I'll try to get some of them up tomorrow to share. I'm too tired to do it tonight - which is odd, becaue I slept for an extra two hours this afternoon. Ah well. At least tomorrow's Tuesday, which means it's my "weekend" (I'm off Wednesday).
There were talks of making a movie out of it at one point, but I'm not sure if there still are.
According to imdb.com, its still going. There was a problem with Farland wanting to be in a director position but he's backed down from that and they're trying to move on from there. They're STILL shooting for a mid-2009 release but I doubt that. If it's gonna be as rough as it says it has been on imdb then I'm not sure it'll be that great a movie...

Final fantasy probably didnt suit me too well for the DS but dragon quest 4, 5 and 6 i must get those they are considered to be the best rpgs of all time or up there with all of the other classic RPGS. I consider dq6 to be the most difficult dq game though since the game is seperated into two worlds the dream world and the regular and I think you have to play that game everyday or else you will get lost in that game.
Yeah thats the dungeon.. i thought it was pretty confusing and is it just me or is the 2nd disc much harder then the first disc in dq7 even though its much shorter.

Pokemon Diamond players: Are berries or growing them that important in the game??
Ive just finished getting the 4th badge in pastoria city btw..:) Im such a noob.
Berries are not a necessity but they are a worthwhile investment. They can be used for contests- both for increasing condition and obtaining accessories. However, that is fairly superfluous and the only time you will want any contest specific berries is for the sake of evolving Feebas.
However, some berries are an absolute commodity. The healing berries are not vital, but quite useful, particularly Lum and Leppa berries. The anti-vitamin berries (also called happiness berries) are an essential tool for EV training, and many of the rare berries are worth growing if only to obtain some trade commodities.
