Unfortunately, I ran out of energy whilst taking the screencaps, so I'll have to put off the AotW until tomorrow. I did get an episode of Claymore watched though.
Grr, why are Shounen Jump shows... so "Shounen Jump"-y. Always with the "Hey, you killed the last big evil thing we threw at you by learning a new power, so here's an even bigger, eviler thing to kill. What, you learned a new power? Again?! Well, now we'll have to try TWO evil things...".
After some searching, I don't seem to have any infractions or warnings. The most interesting thing I found was a post in which I mentioned the anime "Goldfish Warning", which reminds me - I need to see if that's any good or not.
See ya in the morning, people. Maybe I"ll actually get to sleep before 1am tonight. *yawn*
Regarding the two posts of Danica's that I warned. I actually received several reports on the troll warning, and a few on the advertisement. I didn't see any harm in simple warnings, so that's what I handed out.
Danica and I actually had a little chat about the troll warning, and I think it served its purpose.
I even question that fact of yours BUT that involved information from times I modded and thus can't use them. But do see... a many didn't feel it WAS warrented. But I am not in a mood to pick a fight. I had too many victorys this night and the side of my plane can't take any more barons marks from my glory day.
Like I said, I figured it wasn't intentional, but at the same time, I've seen him freak out more than a homophobic Marine over being called girl and girlfriend and such (and for the record, again, I don't really see the problem with that. If someone doesn't want to be called something or addressed in a certain way, that should be respected- not saying this to you, just saying it in general), so I figured that was part of it.
I had a hearty chuckle over the Strawman part. I knew I would be the Witch the moment I saw the words Oz, too.
Aha, was wondering if anyone would catch the change of Scarecrow to Strawman. It was somewhat subtle.
Yeah the only other person who could have been the witch was me...but I wanted a good chance to snub you

God, seriously.
Also, it seems most Shounen Jump shows are like, a bajillion episodes long, and out of all those episodes there is like, 47 minutes of story.
It's not as bad as Rumiko Takahashi, though.

Hey Mr. Stuff. Got an idea of any solid anime to look out for? I so far have the entire series's of many and currently downloading ep 8 of Devil May Cry.
I just need something to look for.
If it helps I like Helsing, DMC, Orphen, excel saga, Magic Knight rayearth and such.
What is a ferret like as a pet? Maintentance-wise, training wise, etc...
For some reason I have been considering one recently. And how are they in temperment? Especially when it comes to getting along with other pets?
@music: I never got into classic rock too much, though I do dig the pop oldies and some hippy stuff. and disco. and new wave. and recently I've been appreciating metallica a lot more. But seriously, My playlist has been dominated by video game remixes and OSV's. It's a sick chunk, a chunk that's gigs large.
They're a high-maintenance pet, really. They need a large cage so they can get exercise when you don't play with them, and they need about an hour, or more, of playtime every day. You can't let them run round unsupervised because they like to eat things on the ground and, as a pamphlet I have says it, 'explore with their mouths'. They can get into any crack that is one inch or wider, and they will hide there for a while. There is the smell to consider, because it is a bit rank, but getting a female that has the anal scent glands removed, as well as being neutered, help with that. I also have a shampoo I use that helps nullify the smell. They're a very high energy pet, which is a bit off putting for some people.
However, all of this is countered by the fact that they are cute, soft, loving, warm, and make a great pet. They can be trained to use a litterbox (they actually prefer to excrete in the corner of their cage, so you can train them to use a litterbox if you put it there with a different sort of litter than the rest of the cage), and they're incredibly funny to watch and play with.
Movies like this are always going to be overdone, largely because they're making them not only to appeal to the older fans but to grab the attention of all the 5-15-year-olds who've never heard of the original. I expected a Transformers movie to be kind of overblown, but I think it's part of the fun =)
Speaking of movies, we picked up Pan's Labyrinth the other day and...whoa. It lived up to all the hype. I love it.
I know how you feel. There's been a couple of movies (can't remember which ones at the moment) that I thought were over the top.
I've had Pan's Labyrinth for a month and haven't watched it yet. I guess I've just not been in the mood to read subtitles. I usually put a movie on as I do other things (roleplay, Starcraft, etc.) and don't pay much attention. Just something to listen to while I do my thing. But I really want to watch it.
Sorry, can't post it all. In any case, I know how you feel. I think I have two good friends in real life. One I haven't been able to get in contact with since January or before, and my best friend Mitch of 14+ years who I can only see once every few months because we're both busy a lot. Most of my friends are online, something I don't quite mind. But it's not a fun feeling to know you won't be able to see them, or that changes you make won't be noticed by them. But... Personality is really all that's important, and you have that in spades. Don't worry about the rest.
I know what you mean. I'm stuck down here in hicksville, where people are like... anime - what? I have about zero friends here since I've returned from college, and not a whole lot of incentive to make new ones. I've never been a really personable person anyway. Give me a book and a corner with a pillow, and I'm happy.
Also - I've made 2 edits above there, in case you didn't see the second one. The Oz thing was actually fairly decent once I used my powers of concentration to read instead of skim.
I still can't believe I'm going to watch another series... gah. Time to update the links in my sig. I hope a group besides the one that's doing Baccano right now picks it up.
Super edit: Holy! I just discovered that BlackOrder has released three new episodes of Gurren-Lagann, a kick-a** series that got licensed some weeks ago. That means the project's not dead. *pump fist* WOOT. I am suddenly very happy.
I know what you feel about the anime bit. Colorado isn't a very receptive place to most of my interests. I don't really discuss them in my hometown. That's why I like the internet. People who like what you like, where you can be yourself, or who you want to be, with no problems.
I can't comment on Kingdom Hearts, but Maleficent is without a doubt one of the most badass Disney villains ever created. Those were the days when they didn't treat films as solely "kid fodder" and actually included words with more than three syllables, like "Maleficent". She has an absolutely perfect name, and is actually a bit scary in the movie, especially for kids. The green fire motif was just snazzy. Disney needs more villains like her and Ursula, villains that just ooze EVIL. 'Course, they need to go back to doing traditional animation as well, but that's another story.
I've been saddened about Disney's fall from grace as of late. They have been leaving their roots and giving us absolute fecal matter for the past several years. They used to have a philosophy they followed: family friendly movies and television for all ages, always with taste and class. Now? Shows like "That's So Raven" abound, they make sequels to old movies that never needed the sequel, and their sequels almost always suck... I want to see a return to class by Disney. It'll never happen, but...
Wow, I just started watching The Devil Wears Prada (don't ask me why), and the movie just got too the interview scene, and...omg that lady can eat people alive.
It's a good movie. And I agree with you: She's horrible. She's the perfect 'villain' for that movie.
Edit: Geh, I'm goin' home. I need food badly [/Gauntlet].
I found this funny, because I made the exact same joke to someone three or four days ago. Save it was "Blue rogue needs food badly." I want a Gauntlet game that can go online so many people can play. That would rock...
Speaking of, me and my friends would rent Dark Legacy to play together. I'd be the Archer, one would choose Warrior, one chose Wizard. We soon discovered that you could re-fight bosses and get the cash. And that the cash could ALWAYS be split evenly. When we discovered that... Well, that blob on the Airship level got beaten so many times, it isn't even funny. We'd be maxed out in all stats by the time we got to Egypt. Unfortunately... We also grew tired of the game at that point, so we never really beat it. Whenever we rent it, I've always deleted the save by then, so we have to start over.
Yeah, I don't know if you get PM'd if you get a warning...
You do. It's an automated message that gives you a link to the post, gives you a reason, a private message (different from the one in the post itself in mod text) that tells you what you did wrong and what to do next time. Just so you know the score.

In all seriousness, you might take a look at some of the previous Anime of the Week. They're all in the second post. It just depends on which genre you want to watch. I can recommend Black Lagoon as a good all-around action series. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is a really good horror series. If you're downloading stuff from the current season of shows... Seirei no Moribito is one of the best shows this season, but it's a fantasy, if you like fantasies. Seto no Hanayome is the best (IMO) comedy this season. The best action/violence/general awesomeness show this season is Claymore, but be warned - it technically is Shounen Jump, though you'd never know it by the art, and it suffers a little bit from the SJ effect, as I call it, where combat just keeps escalating.
1)I STILL do this. I usually just do a search for 'anime' under songs and grab what I can. I have so many songs that I've never seen the animes fr.
2)Is Scalpelexis a dangerous deck now? I have one that I've had for years, and it never seemed competative.
3)Yeah, she's one of the hardest bosses in the game. Try it on Expert mode. She'll take you down in one or two hits. *shudder*

2) Well it's back in 10th, and so is Whispersilk Cloak, so.. it might be a good casual deck.
3) *shudders*

@Hunter: Im a Luna Moonrider fan, and if not her then Dazzel shadow shaman i either eclipse everyone to death or i push faster than they can counter push with my anks
I used to have Luna Moonrider as a hero back before 6.20 when she can have all her 10 lucent beams straight into a single hero. 12 when having a scepter.
EDIT: From the house archives: Omna getting warnings.
(I mean for this to be in good humor both towards Omna and towards the moderating staff; If it's in bad taste or causes controversy, then I'm taking it down, and I don't think it'll cause controversy, since these things are all dead and gone now.)
Atleast its just warnings. You dont wanna search my infraction archives joydie..3 more consecutive infractions and Im banned. Im kind of proud to be suspended twice though.
Ugh...........That really brings back a lot of really bad memories.... Stuff that I really wish was dead and gone............... *goes to hide in a corner*
And I was like hidden for two weeks after Yukora gave me the last infraction and urza suspended me. Sigh*
Well that certainly makes me feel a small amount better. Now too deal with a potentially blown headgasket, an ovredrawn checking account, and oh yeah, not too mention losing a friend in the process (as in...dead)
Ehh, it's not the first bad thing too happen to me this year, just ask Flcl7777, he can confirm, I'll go into exactly what happened here in a little while.
How's everyone doing tonight? With Samurai Soldiers help, were almost done creating possibly the most broken deck extended has ever seen ( hideously, as a hint think of legacy circa may2007)
its coming
1) Same here, but not so much anymore. You should've seen my Gundam Wing music collection. 2 CDs worth.

4) I too miss the golden age of Disney. The most unsung of the classics has to be The Black Cauldron.
1.) I never had that much. But Gundam Wing is what got me into Two Mix, which makes me really happy, because Two Mix has been one of my favorite bands for a long time. White Reflections, anyone?
2.) Heh. Whispersilk Cloak has seen some awesome games. I don't think most of my deck is legal, though. Mist of Stagnation, Web of Inertia, et al.
3.) It took me about eight tries to beat her. Had to make up a strategy and party build JUST for her. I almost NEVER have to do that.
4.) Oh, I like that one. Been a while since I've seen it, though. It's one of those V for Vendetta or Pan's Labyrinth movies for me. I have to be in the MOOD to watch them. Other movies, most of them bad movies like Welcome to Mooseport and other feel-good movies, I just put on to listen to.
It was a 2hg casual game he was playing. I have seen bad cards do some nasty damage in 2hg.
And thank you for the personality comment. That means the world to me
I don't think the flying fish is that bad, to be honest. It can be a serious terror if you use it right. It's practically a wall in its own right, it flies so it can block a ton of stuff, and it mills if you actually use it. Give it vigilance and it's amazing.
And I'm serious about the personality. You have what I call the 'siren's personality', a person you just want to talk to and learn more about.
@SamuraiSoldier: Oh no!! What happened!!? if you need anywhere to vent or anyone to talk to, feel free to do so here..
Speaking of Disney-esque movies.. Does anyone remember Brave Little Toaster and Toy Story? What was your impression of these movies?
I love those two movies you name. Toy Story is one of the final movies in Disney's golden age. It used to be that every movie Disney made was incredible. Now we get them few and far between. I do think, however, that almost every movie Pixar makes is a good one.
Since I've been talking about Coffeehouse games like Starcraft... Anyone here into FFXI?
Also, it seems most Shounen Jump shows are like, a bajillion episodes long, and out of all those episodes there is like, 47 minutes of story.
Well, not if you count 'charging up' and 'yelling' as story. Charging Up Your Powers (together with its sister genre, Preparing to Attack) has long been considered by scholars of literature to be one of the six fundamental types of story.
I'm sure this is old news to people more in the loop than I, but I just learned last week that they're producing a second series of Haruhi. I've read sketchy translations of some of the novels on which the series is based, and I'm really excited; the first series barely scratched the surface.
I was asleep and just read it now :p, it was actually very funny...you have the humor i love to read, if that makes me simple then i love simplicity:)
Sorry you felt so bad, i know how it feels to feel like you are all alone, i was trying to handle a depression stage and i ahd an argument with a friend, it escalated and well we werent friends any more, he made almost all my friends turn on me and i was suddenly very much alone...which funnily enough was how i got into the "you know what? i dont give a sh..., what you guys think of me anymore" and that kinda helped solve everything since i didnt have to consider how the group would see me as.
Thanks sweety. Nice to see we have similar senses of humor.
I definately think we should talk more. You have my msn.
I assume you did the avatar exchange anyways... Sorry about that. My connection was the lamest thing ever whilst I was over there and I managed to post twice (not particularly long ones either) the whole time.
Anyway, what's been going on? Did I miss anything?
WB sweety.
Sorry I kind of took it over. Nobody has sent me your Avvie yet.. but you should have it anyways I imagine.
just got done losing in Siege of Gondor with nai. Sigh, Sauron with one ring is just totally imba. hows everyone doing? I'm gunna wake up early to do the premie event tomorrow morning.
I'm off to a party tonight.
I'll come home smelling like cigarettes and mum will be suspicious again. Hahaha.
(I don't smoke, but my friends do.)
Goodluck to the party Charlie! Hey, Ive always been suspected of smoking because of my friends too. I smell like smoke but I really dont take cigarettes!:)
I assume you did the avatar exchange anyways... Sorry about that. My connection was the lamest thing ever whilst I was over there and I managed to post twice (not particularly long ones either) the whole time.

WHOA! HEY Welcome back Seph-owa! How was Canadia?:D How's your car? Well we missed you alot! There are new members and regulars here. Talk to them to know more about em
EDIT:
@ Sep-OWa: Yeah ur right, I dont see Mortal Wombat in the list of past regulars. Maybe when Danica edited it she accidentally deleted it, because I checked out the first page of the old thread and its still there.^_^
@Seph: (In best Arhnold voice) How was Canada and what did you do?
@Sakura: Thats a lovely story babe. I enjoyed it quite much. Also you are getting a new nickname from me. You're Saki from now on. Its cute and furry and adorable just like you! (minus the furry) Also darling, I miss you dearly!
@Charlie: Well as long as you don't smoke its good. Actually confession time, smoking is my dirty little secret. I don't do it much, but more than a 17 year old should be doing....
@Transformers Movie (yes I know I'm a few pages behind but still): The whole thing was overdone. The action was fast, SFX were great, the dialouge was awful, the plot needed work, characters didn't develop at all, OP sounded like an 80's talkbox. Ya know the standard blockbuster stuff. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate blockbuster cheese and mistakes with a project such as this, but oh my gentle Jesus this made Snakes on a Plane look like it had riveting plot and dialouge; which is actually what I liked about SoaP, the utter awfulness of it. I much prefer the original Transformers.
I saw Bourne Ultimatum last night. It was bad. I can't even explain what I didn't like about it because I really just don't know. The whole movie rubbed me the wrong way. Damon was bad, the dialouge was a major step down from the last two, plus the plot was very linear. Can't wait for Superbad though.
Well there is a forum jump below but Im not used to it..Well what we have is what we get...so..
*Sigh*
EDIT: Im going to sleep now. House is empty again..sigh*
What, were you and the Forum Jump involved or something?
God, I cannot wait to be done with this week. I worked Thursday and Friday, got off last night, and now I go back in tonight, work until Sunday at 10pm, and then I'm off until Tuesday at 6am. However, at that point, I work until Thursday at 2pm. I know someone is reading this and going "What a whiner, I work every day!" Yeah, well, I the shifts are either 16 hours or overnights, and in most cases both at once, so I'm basically gonna be running on E (you can take that to mean "empty" or "ecstacy", either will feel appropriate once the delerium sets in Wednesday night). I cannot wait for people to stop taking vacation. I am beginning to hate vacations, to the point where I cringe at the sound of the word- primarily because I never get one. Vacations are just a time for everyone else to get a "much needed" break I supposedly don't deserve and I get to pick up the slack. *seethe*

Speaking of Disney-esque movies.. Does anyone remember Brave Little Toaster and Toy Story? What was your impression of these movies?
Magic Coffeehouse!
Come in, sit down, relax, get to know somebody!

its coming
My helpdesk should you need me.
I'm sure this is old news to people more in the loop than I, but I just learned last week that they're producing a second series of Haruhi. I've read sketchy translations of some of the novels on which the series is based, and I'm really excited; the first series barely scratched the surface.
I'll come home smelling like cigarettes and mum will be suspicious again. Hahaha.
(I don't smoke, but my friends do.)
See y'all tomorrow. I'm going shopping + photo-taking tomorrow.
OOH. and I got a raise at work. I'm at $9.70 an hour now
That is the best description of me I have ever heard.
Thought it leaves me with a question foxy boy...why don't you talk to me more then
Thanks sweety. Nice to see we have similar senses of humor.
I definately think we should talk more. You have my msn.

The Forum Jump Option.
Care to tell me where it is guys??

*seethe*
