But it's fun watching people cry. Can we make him just this once?

*edit* I forgot to mention, my best friend Jes is taking courses from an online school. They were ranked #1 among all online schools. They have a program for entrepeneurs. @R_E. Wow, your lack of air conditioning really bites. I think I'd be whining just as much if my house wasn't properly cooled. You still haven't, at least to my knowledge, explained why you don't have AC. Why is that?
I don't have much to say on the Harry Potter movies. Overall, I've been very disappointed with them, and I have no plans to go see the fifth installment.
Chris, I wish you all the luck in the world in regards to your possible relationship. You definitely deserve to find someone.
Well, today, I will be packing for an impromptu trip. I'll only be gone on Saturday, but it's still exciting. Next Thursday, my troop and I leave for camp, and we'll be down there for ten days. I'll do my best to post until then, but it's impossible to get a good internet connection down there. Not that I'd even bring my laptop to camp.
With that, I wish you all a good day. I'll try and check in this evening.
Last night I went on a bike ride up the mountain. On the way back, there was this one hill that was insanely steep. I ended up reaching 74.1km/hr (46mph) down it. That's was technically felony speeding (speed limit was only 30mph.) More impressive, I had more kinetic energy than a sedan traveling at 27km/hr (17mph.) It was crazy awesome.
I also just got two new 500GB HDDs today, bringing my computer up to 1.87TB of storage.

My laptop is acting up again.
A few months ago it kept locking up, going slow, and then blue screening on me.
I let it take a rest (it is usually on all day every day) for a night and then it worked fine again.
I hope this will do the trick.
I am on my OLD desktop, circa 2005.
It is a nice blast from the past, or whatever.
I realized today that I have no sort of binder in my house.
I might go buy one at my work tomorrow morning, and throw my rares in it, as i have plenty of ultra pro pages...and decent standard rares.
My thallid deck is more interesting online than in paper form, I think.
I am doing some silly things with it. Bitter Ordeal and sacrificing saprolings is nice.
Tomorrow I hope to...play magic.
I don't know how many people will show, or how organized it will be, but I am going down to the 'localish' shop and playing.
My booster boxes of tenth should be coming in like 3 days...boo to waiting.
On another note, I have been 'seeing' or 'dating' whatever this girl for like 2 weeks, and I am not used to this sort of thing. I want a relationship here. (It has been awhile since I had one, since my last relationship I have just been hooking up as I wish)
I will be teaching her how to play magic.
She will be making me play Mario Kart alot more. She swears like a sailor playing it and she is probably a little better than me at it.
I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize a vote was going on.
I thought Charlie and Yukora were in, so yes I vote them in.

Defrag? Free up some harddrive?
Got out for the X Release shenanigans, came in 5th or so, had some fun. My good buddy Ants brought a Giant Monkey (like one of those $150 Toy 'R Us ones) for Orlando Got some weird looks on the train home
Strapped on the gubs + walked up the road to the tasty thai place for some take-away, + the owner, who is always rather nice to us, gave us our dinner on the house! A random customer then ambushed us + coo'ed at 'lando while we waited. 25 days old, + already gettin' action from the ladies. . .
Anyway. Good weekend
eds-for-Prophet props - before I forget again! Chris, man, that would be awesome if you were able to open your own restautant. From what I've seen from my cafe-owning friends, it's thankless at first but hella rewarding when your crowd finally finds you + settles in. Best of luck!
Tia just dropped me off. She was supposed to saty at a friend's house last night and they bailed on her. So we stayed at my sister's house. We slept on her pull-out sofa, and no, I didn't get any. Although....laying on something called a "pull-out" anything...I probably should have gotten some. We clicked instantly. She laughed at most of my stupid jokes and she told some doozies herself. I'll try to break the day down so you can all see exactly where I went wrong.
She shows up 15 minutes early. We watch a movie, (that we don't cuddle during, which was my fault). She sees that I have a SNES and puts Tetris in. We played this for 2 hours. She said she wasn't going to stop until she beat me. It was time for the pool party, and her suit was decent. It wasn't as great as I thought it'd be, but it was nice. She finally convinces me to go off the high dive after a half hour. I was plummeting towards the water when I remember, I can't swim. I learned in an awful hurry, though. I didn't get a chance to get a pic of her.(:swear:), because once I got in the pool, the kids just mobbed me. I spent the rest of the pool party trying not to get drowned by a bunch of 8 year olds. Someone had let it slip to them that I may not coach next year, and as they were all leaving, they said they were playing next year and wanted me to be their coach. We then proceed to my sister's and watch some of the Friday the 13th marathon. During the course of the last movie, I put my arm over her and cuddled her. She eventually turned off the tv and tossed and turned for a while trying to get comfortable. At one point, our faces were three inches away from each other for about five minutes. I was about to kiss her when a thought entered my head. "If she doesn't want the kiss, then it will make things really awkward." For some reason the thought paralyzed me and she rolled back over. Our faces were that close to each other a couple of more times, but each time the thought paralyzed me. She eventually fell asleep with her head laying on my chest. She rolled over in her sleep, and we ended up spooning with me behind her. We woke up and goofed around with the kids for a bit, then she dropped me off because she has a wedding shower to go to. If I have the money this weekend, we're going to go out and do something for her birthday. I'm thinking something along the lines of dinner and mini-golf, with a token gift at the begining of the date. I'm thinking along the lines of a single white rose, but I dunno if that would be suitable. Anyway, that was my day yesterday. When I find the Karaoke games for the PS2, I'm supposed to give her a ring so we can go to my sister's house to play them. Guess what I'm spending today doing?:glee:
@Brian. Thank you for the wishes of luck. Working in diners are the only jobs I've ever had, (unless you count the 7 hour stint at the chicken plant), and one of my better friends at the one I worked at for three years did all of the ordering, and her daughter did all the prep/cooking, so I know roughly what it would take to run one. All I need to do is learn the finer intricasies of it. I think it will be fun in the end, as long as I can weather the beginning of it. Besides, everything around here closes at 3, so the only thing a restaurant really needs to do to make money around here is to stay open past then.
I'll edit in yukora and CharlieD on the member's lists.
As for the title, it was either this one or, "The [Called]. Yukora free since...err...nevermind."
At Yukora and Chucky, we need bios from you two, now.
heh...chucky...makes me want to watch Child's Play now.
Oh, I totally forgot someone had called a vote already. I was thinking of holding off until I knew them better (who are the applicants, again?) but I guess now it doesn't matter - the decision is made. I pulled a Mike! HEhehehe.
Hey Brian, you getting enough sleep? Your gibberish is getting less understandable if that's possible. jk.
Yukora, I can't have in-window AC units because my building doesn't allow them. I could have a portable one, but most are $700 for a mediocre one that would only cool 1/2 my apartment at best. Also, they're sold out everywhere for about 500 km. And no central air. Really, we only get hot weather like that for a couple weeks a year. It's just not worth it, especially if you care about the environment like I do. You're just turning electricity into heat, to heat the outside, consequently cooling the inside. Dunno about you guys but I don't think heating the planet is the best solution for hot weather. As long as my cards don't warp in the heat...
It's cooled off to normal summer weather now. Still mostly sunny, and warm, but not blistering heat right now.
I was about to kiss her when a thought entered my head. "If she doesn't want the kiss, then it will make things really awkward."
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is where you failed to get any. It appears the reason you didn't get any is because you chose to... uhh... not get any. Sorry.
@Daron. I phrased that wrong. I went into it yesterday not wanting to get any. If it was someone that I didn't know previously, then yeah, I'd have thought about it. The thing is, I worked with her a lil over two years ago. I liked her back then and asked her out and she politely declined. I think that in the back of my mind, I was thinking that she still would be not interested in me. Nevermind the fact that she is the one who contacted me, said she missed talking to me, said the night before that she couldn't wait to hang out, and the fact that she wanted to hang out basically from the time she woke up. Wow. Looking at all of that, what the hell was I so scared about?
@Nick. I know exactly what you mean. I've been going by the motto of, "Live for the Moment", and I've been able to apply it to everything in my life...except when it comes to women. For some reason, they just unerve me. Not the women themselves, but I have a huge irrational fear of rejection. It was so bad at one point that I could barely even say hi to someone that I was interested in. At the present time, I can actually carry on a conversation but, suprise suprise, when it comes to "making a move" or asking someone I like out or something similar, I freeze. It is something that I have struggled with for a while. I know there is no reason for me to have this fear, but yet I do. Kinda sucks, but I can beat it. I just need to take a risk, as you said. If you don't take the risks, you'll never get the miracle....or something like that.:p
@seds. I got the desktop I am currently using in 2003 off of a co-worker. It ****ing sucks.
I posted this deck in a thread in the casual forum. I like the deck for the most part, but it feels like it's lacking something.
It's just a casual deck. I have no visions of winning any kind of Legacy tourney with this. I just loved the synergy that Living Plane and Night of Souls' Betrayal have. Once you get them out, if they don't have non-land mana resources, they are often times screwed.
I totally understand where you are coming from S_P, but yeah, I usually make the move when it takes just that leap of faith.
The girl I am seeing was giving me signals all over the place before I made a 'defining' move...the signals were jussssst wishy-washy enough for me to question them really.
Anyway, it was the second time we hung out and we watched a movie in my room on my bed, and afterwards we were like 'well what now'. (it wasn't nearly late at all) I suggested 'eh, nothing, we can just talk or whatever', so she ended up almost literally collapsing on my bed, lol, and talking about completely innocuous things. After much awkward staring, it slowly turned into somewhat awkward hand-holding. 10 minutes of this and I just went for it, and I went to put my arm around her and then she reacted by moving in to kiss me.
So yeah, win.
I still do not know what is on her mind though.
This is why we are still 'seeing eachother' or whatever you call it when you are continually dating without being in a relationship officially.
I would like it to be official.
I have to talk to her about it, I just haven't seen her much recently. (She is busy, I am busy, bah)
Gameday was funnnn.
I am likely returning for FNMs at that store.

Went to game day....it was a blast. I traded for 3x Crucible of Worlds.....didn't lose to much either. I enjoyed myself until I got shakey becaue all I had eating all day was sugar...from the maple bacon to the pancakes...i needed more protein....so I went next door to the grocery store and got some anitpasta with losts of pepperoni. It did the job bu tthe damage was done and the migraine started. when I won I won well...when I lost......I went 0-2. Ended up 3-3. They had 47 people so we had to go 6 rounds....it was more than I thought we were going to do. It was fin though...I didn't open anything good....Mirri, Warp World, Goblin King, Dreamborne Muse, Bloodfire Colossus. Played R/G/b and the deck was pretty good. I made a lot of play mistakes when my head was throbbing but oh well. Will definitely play draft and sealed again with Xth....really good limited! Getting ready for Nationals now...going to the grinder on Thursday before to play in the sealed event.
I opened 13 packs yesterday and didn;t get a single Incinerate....common!!
@S_P ....Be good to her Chris...it seems she digs you for who you are....take kinda slow but not SlugLike.....we don't need more BikeMikes runnin around with the ladies!

I played in one draft and got 2x Incinerate, heh. and a Foil Brushland. Then I got a hippie in the packs I opened. So it wasn't too bad. I opened 2x Tidings and 2x Faerie Conclave also, which I'd wanted. I was happy. I won some weird Incinerate playmat too.

@R_E. I see, I just couldn't understand living without AC. Where I live, not having AC can get dangerous, but most of the time it's just uncomfortable. I do, however, find it odd that the building doesn't allow air conditioning. Is there a reason for that?
@Chris, I'd comment about your current situation, but I know we'll just chat on AIM later, so I'll wait untill then.
Thanks for the votes, everyone :). I'll be sure to update my signature after this post.
My gameday experience was alright.
I did three minimasters, and won one of them. (In one of the rounds I decked my opponent twice, he decked me once....ha)
I got in the top 4 for the sealed release.
My deck was Brw.
When it came to commons, there were QUITE A FEW that showed up in multiples. I got 3 Spitting Earth, 3 (ran 2) Mass of Ghouls, 2 Bogardan Firefiend, 2 Benalish Knight, and 2 Mindstone.
My rares (that I played) were Colossus of Sardia (NEVER got to play it), Bloodfire Colossus, and Sengir Vampire.
My deck was nothing special or amazing, but it did the job.
Most of the kids playing didn't know what they were doing really, so yeah.
Out of all the cards I opened, I don't really think I pulled anything of note. I got a Glorious Anthem, and I think that might be the only 'decent' rare.
Edit:
I assume too much sometimes.
Females are too complex.
I am but a simple creature.
She isn't ready for a relationship.
I am now feeling like an ass.
Good luck this weekend jonny, my local team (team shortbus) has one person in and a couple of people going for the grind, so if you see Joseph (Kane) Jackson, whip him one time for me.

Doh, sorry to hear that Greg... but at least you got the kissy kissy? Anyway, seems like you're getting better at Magic, which is good.
Yukora, they don't allow AC units that stick out because they're ugly. It's a fairly nice building and they want to keep the neighborhood looking "pretty" I guess. No boards on the windows, etc. Meh.
It's actually next weekend, but thanks...I'll do my bestest. I'll report on what I'm wearing before I go and you can let the bugger know and he can find me. The event is pretty damn big....lots 'o people the whole time...parking sucks!

Welcome, Charlie and Yukora, to THE Clan! If you try to leave we hunt you down and ..well, you don't wanna know and I cannot be that graphic here.
Boy did I have a weekend.. I was invited by someone I haven't seen in 10 years to go with her and her husband (and a bunch of people I don't know) on a Party Bus. It's a bus you rent, like a limo. It is all decked out and drives you to different clubs downtown. So we all meet up about 10pm at a small bar to wait to be picked up. Thirty min's before it is supposed to arrive we get a call saying the bus broke down and there are no other buses or limo's avalible. We were pissed. 16-18 of us leave the bar and go to someone's near by apartment to plan our next move. We end up renting a hummer limo and finaly heading downtown abouot 1am. Someone decides that we are going to a stripclub. Okay, I can handle that. So we hung out there for a few hours until the limo rental was up and we would have to leave. I was enjoying a 15 min, pure dry-hump of a lap dance when EVERYONE LEFT ME!! I had to walk a mile and get a taxi home. WTF! They said they couldn't find me. (I was in the VIP room) and had to leave b/c the rental time was running out. I guess I understand, but it still sucked. It was fun seeing and meeting people but the night was kinda DOA from the bus breaking down to me being left.
No X for me. I have no $. No cable or internet either. No $ for the bill. Damn I am bored. At least I have a cold one and a ps3 for games and movies. I have a wireless card and am online through someone's connection somewhere near by. *shrug*
so sad DUX...so sad...it does suck to have to walk anywhere with a raging hard on!:p At least it was dark out so you could finish up and walk upright the rest of the way back to the taxi pick-up.
I'm sorry...that was a little more than ....nah...nevermind.....
....loves the DUX!

Just whip out another $20!
So guess what? I'm going to the cabin this weekend. AGAIN! The last trip was only 3 weekends ago. YAAAAY! Sammy, me, Curtis, Rob, and maybe someone else if they can make it. Should be sweeeeeeeeeet. The weather up here is sunny and warm now, summer's definitely here. Can't wait to jump out of the boat into that nice cold lake.
Oh, so I got around to sorting out my photos from the last trip.
Setting up when we first arrived around 10pm. Beer waiting by the fridge to be inserted.
The next day was beautiful. We hiked up to Lost Lake which is a little lake about half an hour down a forest path from the cabin. There are fish in there, but rarely anyone fishing it, because you have to carry a boat in on your back, or use a bellyboat, or something. Anyway, great weather, really pretty. Pictured are Curtis and Sammy, standing on an abandoned beaver dam.
We trekked around the far side of the lake, all the way. It was kinda marshy at some parts, but really great scenery, and lots of fun. Pictured: Sammy, Curtis, Rob.
This is our "walking in slow motion toward the camera looking really dangerous/sexy/cool" look. Pictured: me with sammy's bikini bottoms on my head, Rob R, Curtis, Rob B.
Sammy made us mushroom cheeseburgers using only the campfire outside. They were really, really good. I passed out just before they were ready, in the middle of the cabin floor, and they had to revive me by rubbing the meat on my lips. It worked. I partied another 3 or 4 hours after that.

Alright, I just had to take up two hours getting my father from thr air-port, so my time has been crunched even more.
Oh well, more pressure equals better work.
Also, AWESOME thread title.

I can't say I'm a love expert, but I'll give you my opinion
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is where you failed to get any. It appears the reason you didn't get any is because you chose to... uhh... not get any. Sorry.
.
6 Forest
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Polluted Delta
6 Swamp
4 Terramorphic Expanse
4 Harmonize
3 Last Gasp
3 Living Plane
3 Lotus Blossom
3 Night of Souls' Betrayal
4 Putrefy
4 Sudden Death
4 Diabolic Edict
4 Utopia Tree
4 Terravore
It's just a casual deck. I have no visions of winning any kind of Legacy tourney with this. I just loved the synergy that Living Plane and Night of Souls' Betrayal have. Once you get them out, if they don't have non-land mana resources, they are often times screwed.

@Chris, I'd comment about your current situation, but I know we'll just chat on AIM later, so I'll wait untill then.
Thanks for the votes, everyone :). I'll be sure to update my signature after this post.

Yukora, they don't allow AC units that stick out because they're ugly. It's a fairly nice building and they want to keep the neighborhood looking "pretty" I guess. No boards on the windows, etc. Meh.
Jonski your spelling has gone downhill

*shrug*

And Greg, this might help with women problems (I know that once I learned it, it help solve a lot of mine.)
