Welcome to The Reel! The first and so far only clan on MTGS for pop culture junkies! Come here to expecting discussion on movies, music, TV, and books both that are new favorites and classics that have yet to die; or really, whatever is on our minds at the time.
There are three simple rules here in The Reel:
1. Be kind and courteous. Nobody likes to see trolling or flaming in a friendly thread such as this one. We're all in the same boat, we all have bad days, don't take it out on other members of The Reel.
2. Don't Spam the thread. This is a gimmie everywhere, but goes double here because I especially hate spam.
3. Be opinionated. If you get into a real discussion about why this movie stinks/rocks, defend your own reasons, just don't lay down and die. If it gets too rowdy, I'll step in.
Entry to The Reel is simple. Just ask for approval and list your 5 favorite movies and you'll be in pending my decision.
Finally, my kind of clan! Although I have no intention of leaving the Greek Alliance. I'll just come here and ask to be an official friend or whatnot of the Reel. I'm assuming you have no problems with that? Cause if you do...
Anywho, my five favorite movies (in no particular order):
1) Monty Python and the Holy Grail (I've seen it 100+ times)
2) Comedian (a documentary about Jerry Seinfeld and his return after retiring all of his old material)
3) Sicko (yes, it's fairly new, but it's damn good, and so true)
4) An Inconvenient Truth (I actually got to meet Al Gore and I've got an autographed copy of the book version to prove it!:D)
5) Blade Runner (best sci-fi movie ever. I don't care what anyone else says)
Oh, and I'm glad to see that you included Quentin there in the banner. Grindhouse was amazingly fun. I would have hit you with a sack of bananas if you had omitted him.:p
