I actually like doing my assignments and reviewing for quizzes. I'm not a school geek or anything, but I love studying! And the stuff that I study (ghosts, demons and other paranormal stuff) are actually appreciated in college.
In lit class yesterday we read this story about a guy who killed his five wives in five months, and I thought of Jack the Ripper killing all those girls, and poof! Everyone started asking me what my other interests are.
For the first time I feel good about being me, not like in high school... I was considered the weird kid.
I never knew college would be so fun and liberating!

As for me, I've been a bit busy. We just started school last Wednesday, and it's been abit hectic since I don't have much time anymore. I also met Myta last... Thursday? I think.
I'm still undecided on going to Regionals (we're having it next week.) If I do, the deck I'm most likely to run is Red Deck Wins - the undecided thing so far is the build considering there's so many out there. I'm lacking Char, but I can cover any of the builds. The deck right now is in Gargadon mode, though.
Hmmm RDW. Interesting. Fast aggro deck(i kinda like rift elemental+rift bolt combo with greater gargadon stuff), but for me Ill be using my SNowy MGA. Btw you may wanna visit the new MGA thread, im proud to be post#1 with the primer as a Filipino.
@Archy: Hey yeah. I visited CSA cause I needed to get my alumni ID, and I saw my dear old (but she's young) physics teacher, Mrs. Padlan. I miss you guys a lot! When does your activity hour start? I'm going to visit the seniors and play a good round of magic with them one day.

In other news, who here are DDR players? If you live in Colorado, be sure to hit up Biggs City in Colorado Springs. We upgraded our system to DDR Burst, which is a custom mix based out of Stepmania. Not only does it have all songs from all mixes of DDR, it also contains many custom songs with custom step charts. I spent all yesterday playing it (getting VERY tired in the process), and I STILL want more. It's just awesome. Hee hee.
@Myta: Vikings seems to be the definite choice. Can't see anything Blue about Pirates, sadly so we're going with Vikings (which I can't even see blue in), so yeah, weird.

Congratulations Ophina on the graduation, and hello to everyone, just woke up.. I'm going to be going to Barnes & Noble in a bit to pick up a book for my dad... then after that, its back here to just hang out and yesterday my TV was finally figured out/fixed so now I can play DQ8 again! w00t! As well as Chronotrigger, Wild ARMs 3 and all the other games I have lined up Also talk to Arguas at some point in the day once we've both had time to hang out on our own...
I want to find a good book to read..I have a few... Dear John by Nicholas Sparks, and of course the entire Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy compendium, as well as the Narnia series compendium.... But those are huge books... I suppose I probably should focus on finishing the books I have for my thesis and for my Communicating in Business class... Anyway I should grab a bite to eat before I head out today.. As I said I'll be back later, and to Mr. Stuff I hope you have a great time on your trip to the convention today

I would just think positive about your graduation always think for the best ophina especially since graduating is very important to you i think. Congrats on graduation.
Well anyway i opened 3 boosters of guildpact and I got a godless shrine, sky swallower, and biorborygmos i was thinking of playing with my sky swallower in my pinger deck especialy when i have nothing really to offer if they kill all of my creatures itll be like a backup and a surprise hehe.

Hi everyone. Letting you all know that I've been having computer problems. The friend who built my new computer kindof did a rush job because he knew I was dying to play some games.. so I got it, and it only worked for a bit. I had to give it back to him to work on.
He has given me a loaner to use for now and I should have my real computer monday.
*Mr. Stuff stumbles in, mumbles something incoherent about loli-goth and Gainax, and passes out*
So, yeah, I just got back from the con. I left at 6:05am this morning, and just got back about 20 minutes ago at 10:35pm. It's a four hour drive one way. I spent four hours driving there, 8 hours at the con, and four hours driving back. I spent as much time on the road as I did at the con, and drove around 400 miles today.[/exhausted]
I had a good time though, and got lots of nifty stuff, as always. I actually bought some new DVDs, which I haven't done in a while. I'm starting to get almost a slight feeling of alienation at cons, though, due to Naruto, Bleach, and the rest of the Jump shows like Inuyasha having such a huge following. When time after time 80% of the people there are talking about, selling, buying, and watching shows you aren't interested in at all, it's a little bit frustrating. I have to really scour all the vendor's booths, sometimes multiple times, to find stuff from the kinds of obscure shows I like. I did manage to find some copies of old stuff that interests me for cheap, though. I picked up the original Shirow Masamune's Dominion Tank Police for $8 and a copy of ADV's release of Birth for $12. The video rooms didn't have a whole great lot of new stuff, but I did manage to catch the first few episodes of two new shows to come out, Hayate no Gotouku and Heroic Age, so I was fairly pleased with that. I managed to catch all of Iron Editor, which is one of my favorite events, and that made me happy as well. It's sort of like Iron Chef, only they give two editors some anime episodes and two hours to make an AMV with it. In the meantime, they show other popular AMVs and discuss them, and ask trivia questions from the AMVs for prizes. I've been to three of these events, all done by the same guys, and seen most of the AMVs before, so I got the first question they asked right and got my bag of Spree as a reward. Then I just sat back and enjoyed the show and let other people answer the questions. They showed a few new AMVs, so I have a couple of new ones I want to download from the org now.
Good night everyone. I'm incredibly, incredibly tired after my solid four hour drive home, especially after getting up at 5:30am, so I'm hitting the sack.

1] I took my black and white photos again. I was ahppy with them. but some **** happened with the camera, and we had to take it to the photo place to even get the film out of the ****ing camera.
But that was okay. I developed them and everything in the dark room, I was so proud.
But they must have been exposed, or something. Because they came out pitch black.
You have to understand, this was the second time I lost my photos, and I cried, and cried. I was so upset.
Threadless Tees arrived. They're pretty awesome.
On Wednesday I saw Anberlin. It was an amaaazing concert, and I had alot of fun.
Highlight of the week was the Brisbane Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual and Transgender Pride March and Festival. It was sooo much fun. We marched and everything, and there was christian protesters and people pulled out megaphones and yelled abuse at them! hahahah.
After the march there was a festival thing, and we walked around, got "showbags" (withh free condoms LOL) and yeah. I met a guy called Joel.
Now, Joel is a really nice guy, I really like him, but... I dunno. Something is holding me back, and I think it's his age. He's 19. He's only three years older than me but... I don't know.
Can anyone help me out?

Well here is a threshold deck that i have been working on for a little while lately i call it RGB Thresh of course or actually ill call it Nevada Thresh since i live in nevada state. It pretty much is like a black sui deck with threshold base creatures combined pretty much and ive won against landstill 2-0 earlier tonight which i thought would be a pretty hard matchup for this deck.
Actuallyill go ahead and make thisdeck Legacy of the week for this week.
Ill just name and explain the most important pieces to this deck.
Tarmogoyf: Can be better then any other of those creatures named since you dont need 7 cards or more to have it become a big factor earlier in the game.
Werebear: Sometimes with 22 lands it seems just a little light but with werebear's mana acceration it can make up the little difference.
Quirion Dryad: i like this card alot since it doesnt need threshold for it to become pretty big.
Nimble mongoose: Dodges any creature spot removal just about except the edicts which are in this deck.
Fledgling Dragon: Having it be a big flyer can make it be a invalueble card in the mirror and against any other creature deck in the format.

Given that Star Wars was mentioned in passing by someone a couple of pages ago... went to the Star Wars exhibition today. A lot of fun, though not worth the money it cost to get in. Still, it's one of those things I'd have always regretted if I hadn't gone to see it, so I guess it's worth it in the long run. Bizarrely, my favourite thing about the entire exhibition was the concept sketches. Something about those really connected with me for some reason.
Congrats on the expected graduation, Ophina! One word of advice, though - whatever you do, don't try and pull an all-nighter the night before it's due. They never work :).
Danica, if you're looking for a short book to read, I recommend looking up Shadowmancer by GP Taylor. Whilst I think they're technically "young adult" books, I really enjoyed both this and its sequel - a dark edge you don't see in many books.
I'm thinking wireless was a bad idea - I shouldn't be laying on my bed at 10 past 1 in the morning, posting on Sally.
Sounds cool, the Star Wars thing. I'm a fan, but I don't think I'd go. I get enough out of the movies, I don't really need the fanfiction. I generally find the stuff badly done. KoToR is one of the only exceptions in my mind.

I have to really scour all the vendor's booths, sometimes multiple times, to find stuff from the kinds of obscure shows I like. I did manage to find some copies of old stuff that interests me for cheap, though. I picked up the original Shirow Masamune's Dominion Tank Police for $8 and a copy of ADV's release of Birth for $12. The video rooms didn't have a whole great lot of new stuff, but I did manage to catch the first few episodes of two new shows to come out, Hayate no Gotouku and Heroic Age, so I was fairly pleased with that. I managed to catch all of Iron Editor, which is one of my favorite events, and that made me happy as well. It's sort of like Iron Chef, only they give two editors some anime episodes and two hours to make an AMV with it. In the meantime, they show other popular AMVs and discuss them, and ask trivia questions from the AMVs for prizes. I've been to three of these events, all done by the same guys, and seen most of the AMVs before, so I got the first question they asked right and got my bag of Spree as a reward. Then I just sat back and enjoyed the show and let other people answer the questions. They showed a few new AMVs, so I have a couple of new ones I want to download from the org now.
Good night everyone. I'm incredibly, incredibly tired after my solid four hour drive home, especially after getting up at 5:30am, so I'm hitting the sack.

This week:
1] I took my black and white photos again. I was ahppy with them. but some **** happened with the camera, and we had to take it to the photo place to even get the film out of the ****ing camera.
But that was okay. I developed them and everything in the dark room, I was so proud.
But they must have been exposed, or something. Because they came out pitch black.
You have to understand, this was the second time I lost my photos, and I cried, and cried. I was so upset.
Threadless Tees arrived. They're pretty awesome.
On Wednesday I saw Anberlin. It was an amaaazing concert, and I had alot of fun.
Highlight of the week was the Brisbane Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual and Transgender Pride March and Festival. It was sooo much fun. We marched and everything, and there was christian protesters and people pulled out megaphones and yelled abuse at them! hahahah.
After the march there was a festival thing, and we walked around, got "showbags" (withh free condoms LOL) and yeah. I met a guy called Joel.
Now, Joel is a really nice guy, I really like him, but... I dunno. Something is holding me back, and I think it's his age. He's 19. He's only three years older than me but... I don't know.
Can anyone help me out?

Ill just name and explain the most important pieces to this deck.
Tarmogoyf: Can be better then any other of those creatures named since you dont need 7 cards or more to have it become a big factor earlier in the game.
Werebear: Sometimes with 22 lands it seems just a little light but with werebear's mana acceration it can make up the little difference.
Quirion Dryad: i like this card alot since it doesnt need threshold for it to become pretty big.
Nimble mongoose: Dodges any creature spot removal just about except the edicts which are in this deck.
Fledgling Dragon: Having it be a big flyer can make it be a invalueble card in the mirror and against any other creature deck in the format.
Duress: Killer discard versus combo and control.
Umezawa's Jitte: Great against any aggro deck in the format.
Pyroclasm: The best goblin clearer in my opinion.
Diabolic edict: Hitting those untargetable creatures can make this deck have a much easier time against.
Cruel Edict: Same as diabolic pretty much except not an instant.
Loaming Shaman: great against reanimator and other decks that utilize the graveyard to gain massive advantage on you.
Tranquil Domain: Great against enchantress and decks that use worship which i have seen UGW threshold run.
Krosan grip: pretty much the same as tranquil domain.
Extirpate: Great against combo decks and even control especially combined with all of the discard in this deck.
Pyroblast: Great against blue based decks especially solidarity counter those high tides and meditates!

I have been doing pretty well. Its good to see you post ninja. How have you been doing? Looks like you have been really busy lately with life in general which i can understand since summer is like the most busiest time of the year for alot of people at least thats what i think. Sounds cool, the Star Wars thing. I'm a fan, but I don't think I'd go. I get enough out of the movies, I don't really need the fanfiction. I generally find the stuff badly done. KoToR is one of the only exceptions in my mind.
I have the two Shadowmancer books, but I never read them. I just couldn't get into it, I'm afraid.
Ouch man! I wish I could get a custom built computer. Blegh.
Ooh, sounds cool, man. I'd get a friend or two with me and go march in that, if there was one here. But Colorado wouldn't like it, I find, sadly.

I've been good. I just decided to give myself a break from sitting in front of the computer and decided to just start reading more and swimming and whatever. Nothing has gone wrong I just felt like I needed some sort of break from MTGS for a while.
