I'd be more than happy to trade with you, Crimson! My friend code is 2749 7739 1400. I have some rarer pokémon, though nothing terribly uber. It'd be nice to have someone to trade and battle with who isn't a competition nut >_>;;
EDIT: Yeah, the N64 did have some amazing games that put it on the map. Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Paper Mario. I do remember a lot of games fondly. Hell, I even enjoyed Quest64 =)
Yeah, Perfect Dark was a good one also. I never got into Paper Mario, and I couldn't figure out why.
Also, lets not forget Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That game is still in a tie at the top of my list of favorite Zelda games. It shares a spot with A Link to the Past.

I've kind of fallen off the Zelda bandwagon myself, but I do count Ocarina of Time as one of the best in the entire series. It had more depth to it than most other Zelda games, and unlike the vast majority of them, I came to care about what was going on rather than just...observing it.
Same here. Majora's Mask killed Zelda for me. I HATED that game. Then came Wind Walker, the cartoon Zelda... I won't even begin to share my feelings about that one, since alot of people do like it.

I thought Wind Waker was pretty solid. The whole "scour the ocean for Triforce pieces" killed the enjoyment for me after a while, but hey. It's understandable, not getting into the cel-shaded style, but I thought it worked pretty well myself. I'm a big fan of cel-shading, though, heh.
Good news: I found a site that might be able to help me figure out how to fix my Mp3 player. Not only that, but they sell the same model for cheap, so if I can't get it fixed I can get myself a new one. Bonus =)
Well i just got back from work i was pretty tired when i was working lol. I am very glad i have tommorrow off though since it gets me the chance to catchup on some games like dragon quest 7 and final fantasy 12 too. Well ill probably post later today or tonight and see you all soon. I hope everyone is having a good day so far. *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*

Hi all. Just poping in quick to let everyone know that I might be without computer for a while. I'm taking it in to get upgraded. If all goes well, I'll be back tonight, but you never know until you get it started. So it might take longer.
Thanks for the props, Omna I'm gonna type up a review of the songs in the Chronicles in my blog for your pleasure.
Meanwhile, I've been watching Scrubs, seasons 1-6 all in a row, over the past week. Then I can pick up Gargoyles again and finish it, then Spider-Man (the 90s animated series), then Heroes season 1, then Ugly Betty (for Sakura).
I WILL get Regular of the Week up today.. I promise. A lot's been going on. Same with Geek Mp3s, but Scrubs is.. so good. Anyways, I will get it done. Things have been busy though--my sister is probably going to have her second son today or tomorrow! I'll be an uncle.. again!
Zelda: There was a lot of discussion on it earlier, but lessee.. Ocarina of Time is and shall forever be the single greatest Zelda game, ever ever ever. Twilight Princess really revived the series for me, even if I only have it on the Gamecube. I liked Majora's Mask, but it wasn't as good. Wind Waker was better than I thought! I liked it a lot.
Also.. I'M GETTING MY FIRST PAYCHECK FOR WORKING FOR THE DEVIL WAL-MART.
I'm gonna be saving up so I can split moneys with my sister and her husband for a Nintendo Wii. I LOVE IT.
Hey Stuffsy-boy, do you know how it works if you're citing a DVD that a book is based on, but essentially the same information is in the book/DVD/both places.... which would you cite, the DVD or the book???
If you're working from the DVD, cite the DVD. Regardless of whether the book has the same information, you need to cite the actual source material you used. I can look up the citation style if you need that, but alas, I'm in at the parent's work right now and all of my college books, including my APA/MLA citation guidebook, are at home.
So, about the MP3s, I did download the first collection, and it was pretty good. I like the inclusion of the Cheers theme in the beginning, and of course it has Tank and Ride on Shooting Star on there, which makes it awesome. A lot of the video-game related songs on there were awesome as well. The version of Little Wing it has isn't the full version, but rather the OP version, which makes me a little sad, but oh well. I didn't have the full version available when I did my RotW. I wish the version of "numa numa" was the original, though. The english is just awful sounding to me, since I'm used to hearing it in the original language.
Shah, I'm adding Champloo to my queue right now, and it should be done sometime in the next few days. I think while I let it run, I'll maybe finish watching Alien Nine, and then go over to Long John Silver's for dinner.
Just got my new DS today and the first thing I did is test my Wi-Fi connection and shazam it works!
Im so jealous of you people. All of you have Nintendo DS..Geez all I have is a PS2, (the old fat version, SCPH 30001) a pc and a 1GB Muvo Vidz Player by Creative™ as my techno gadgets..Waaa I want DS too!
Well as Ive said Im going to get my hair done with my friends. See ya all later!^_^

Well, I have been busier than I have ever wanted to be lately.
I finally found a second job. I just got a call from the local Blockbuster store, and I'll be working there part-time. Hopefully, this job will give me some breathing room to pay for high school, and, eventually, college.
In addition to my occupations, I have been very active in a few local volunteer groups. Basically, my high school requires that I do service during the summer time. Well, this will be my senior year, and they're much more lax about it, but I still feel an obligation to help as much as I can.
On top of all of that, I have summer assignments from school. Theology is covered by the community service, but I have books to read for both English, and History. Once I have competed those, I am to do several projects for each book.
In a nutshell, I've got a lot going on, and it has really cut off my time to the coffee house. I'll still lurk, but I can't always respond to the topics.
Hehehehe i just won against someone twice in a row over mws with alacar's ach hans deck man that deck is so much fun and its one of the better decks alacar has in my opinion even though all of his decks are pretty good in casual play. Even though i think his blue mage says no deck is pretty fun too but his RG aggro deck is too fast for it. My opponent was playing with 4 ancestral recalls too in his deck. Just like good old times.
@yukora: hey yukora its good to see you again and like always i wish you and everyone else in here the best and goodluck in summer school.

Just stopped by before going to do my errands and assignments. ^^
Meanwhile, I'm still up... I can't sleep for some reason tonight. Blah.
Has anybody seen films with Thai actor Tony Jaa? I just saw "The Protector" tonight, and while the plot was rather sketchy, the fight scenes and choreography were amazing beyond words. Granted, the film was directed by Quentin Tarantino, but still, the main character was just awesome on a stick. In the tradition of Jackie Chan and some other big name action stars, he does all his own stunts, and practices a Muay Thai style of fighting that involves a lot of breaking his opponents' limbs, and also uses knees and elbows. The entire last fight scene in that movie... just WOW. He goes through about 50 some guys and then three "boss" guys before taking out the main villain. Every single one of the "throwaway" henchmen, he breaks one or more of their limbs, often in incredibly painful or ridiculous/awesome ways, and leaves them writhing on the floor in pain. It was seriously one of the best fights I've seen in a movie, well, ever, and I really look forward to seeing more of this guy. I'll have to see if I can get ahold of a copy of his other movie, Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior.
I also finished Alien Nine tonight. Bleh, what a weird ending. The series ended up being much darker than I thought. I was expecting just some lighthearted fun and action with comedy on the side, but what I got was actually kind of dark and explored the human psyche and some trauma stuff. One scene in particular actually upset me somewhat because I didn't expect it to happen at all. Then the series goes on to have a really weird/traumatic ending... oh well. That's not to say it wasn't a decent show; It's just not what I expected. Maybe Risky/Safety will be better. I'm watching that next. It's about a girl who has thoughts of suicide, causing an apprentice shinigami (spirit of death - sort of like the reaper) named Risky to appear. Only, since it's an apprentice, it's only about three inches tall and chibi-fied. When the girl realizes she doesn't want to die, it morphs into an alter-ego called Safety, who is a cute little chibi angel. It sort of follows her around, and whenever she becomes sad or happy, it turns into Risky or Safety, respectively, and gives little mini life lessons.
Well, I guess I'd better try to get some sleep. Oyasumi nasai, minna-san.
@mr. stuff: have a great night and sweet dreams to you.
Well i just wanted to stop by and say goodnight to everyone as well i dont have work tommorrow so ill be up for awhile tonight. Ill be on aol and msn if anyone wants to talk to me but if not see you all soon! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone* See you all tommorrow and have a good day tommorrow.

The power-gaming pair, the dynamic die-rolling duo hails from Ohio in the States: Both named Josh (well Photon's Joshua and ether's Josh, but tomato tomahto) They've been with MTGS since March of 2006; Photon joined with Mamelon, his sister, then was quickly followed by his beloved ethersphere, who was awful curious. Photon USED to care about where his username came from, but not anymore. Ethersphere claims that he a) loves the fifth element, ether (I could've swore it was Milla Jovovich ;)), and it's been part of an RPG project he's been working on forever. It's a sacrifice ability, so he says. Sounds promising. As such, I've decided to ask ethersphere politely if I could use that phrase in my next set. I have yet to get an answer, but rest assured it'll be an enchantment, I'm sure.
Regarding MTGSalvation, the one place ether and Photon like most is the Pen & Paper Inn, a subforum in the Colosseum they helped create--a forum devoted to Dungeons & Dragons and other d20 RPG games. If you wanna play D&D, or have ever wanted to learn how to play, check it out. They also enjoy the Coffeehouse, of course!
Regarding the game, the duo don't really play Magic so much anymore, but their favorite cards? Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker for ethersphere and Pristine Angel for Photon Eater. Both are excellent casual-play cards. Ether loves Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth/Life and Limb as a combo deck, but Photon really doesn't play anymore.
Since they don't play Magic, what DO they do? Well, ethersphere is perhaps the single biggest console RPG gamer ever known. He plays the hell out of everything. Photon, in the same vein, is a great RPG designer. His work on his project Demon's Ideology is a vastly impressive accomplishment. Bravo, both of you! And bravo for running the Pen & Paper Inn with gusto.
Little did we know, but Photon Eater actually hates coffee! Shocking, I know. Another thing to add to the list of things he hates. Love you too, Photty. Ethersphere admits that he has grown to hate cheaters more and more and more. That's cheaters in video games.
Ethersphere hopes to live a happy and joyous life with his dear Joshua--and even become a writer and/or a voice actor! Good wishes, Josh my friend. Photon admits his hopes and dreams died with the release of Future Sight. Let's hope some remnants are around in Lorwyn.
Regarding current affairs, ethersphere is involved in 2 great games in the Pen & Paper Inn: Broken Mandala & Wasted City. I'm sure he could talk about them far better than I. He also wants to do an autobiography. That'd be neat. Photon is also working on his DMing, running the P&PI, and even designing his own tabletop game.
Regarding the Coffeehouse itself, Photon loves the days we're not talking about gender. That last thursday was quite the memory for him. Ethersphere loves just us regulars, and knowing he can just pop in for anything he wants to talk about and know we'll be there for him. Can't get that kinda security just anywhere.
When looking at the menu, ethersphere goes bonkers over the Panini. Photon just enjoys that virtual, fictional food has no carbs.
When asked to name a few of us for recognition, this is what I recieved:
Quote from Photon Eater »
Joyd, Shaharazad, Tanthalas, Mamelon, and Ethersphere.
Quote from ethersphere »
- Tanthalas, for just being him. I always enjoy any conversation we're both a part of.
- LittleDragon, for having the same taste in RPGs that I do and actually knowing what I'm talking about when nobody else does.
- Alacar, of course, for being an exceptional host and a good friend. I've come to appreciate you a lot more than I ever did, and I'm glad to share space with you at the Inn.
- My boy Josh, without a doubt. I'm just as lucky to share a world with him in the intarwebs as I am for real =)
Aww, thanks guys.
And that's it for the premiere homosexual couple (yes, if you haven't figured it out, you are a dunce), and just in general two of the best Regulars I know, for this double-dose Regular of the Week.
Geek Mp3s are undergoing work, and will be up before I go to bed.
Zelda: Wind Waker was fun, but the problem was that it wasn't Ocarina of Time. It had pretty much an impossible task to live up to. In fact, I think that's one of the major issues the Gamecube had - both Mario and Zelda were always going to struggle to follow their N64 equivalents, as well as any FPSs that came out.
That's actually a really good point! Josh likes to argue that there's no way Ocarina is as good as everyone makes it out to be, but it truly is. I mean, if I'm extholing the virtues of a Zelda game it has to be good. And although Wind Waker was highly enjoyable, it had the same problem that FF8 did. Everyone was expecting more of the same and it was too different.
Thanks for the spot, Alacar. If you need to get ahold of any of the Geek Mp3s I suggested, just lemme know.
@Myta: Don't worry. I consider it a compliment when people can't tell I'm gay, heh.
Also, I now want to see Alien Nine. I'd given up on it because I generally loathe cute anime, but knowing it has a little psycho to it gives me hope.
@Mr. Stuff: I've seen Ong-Bak as well and gotta say it was more than well worth the rental money and even worth it to buy it (I tend to rent many more movies than I buy). Absolutely crazy little movie...
Another crappy day for me...have a lot of work this week but will be at least 2 hours late for work. My cat threw up a whole can of cat food on the rug 2-3 days ago. I labored for an hour or so cleaning it up with sponge and mop and towels. I scrubbed and soaked and tried to lift the smell out of the carpet, and thought I'd succeeded. Well, fast forward to last night, when I noticed the house was beginning to reek of souring meat and fish. It was so bad this morning I had to open a bunch of windows upstairs to keep my upstairs neighbors from noticing. So here I am, after another hour of scrubbing and soaking with Ajax and Shout to try and get the funk out of here. I only own two towels, and they both took one for the team, so I also get to do laundry right now.
I'm very sleep deprived right now and just need to go back to bed for about 15 hours. My allergy medicine winds me up during the day like speed and leaves me lethargic the next morning, like rolling out of a grave. But it's the only one that works now that they've taken sudafed out of stores in our area. I can't afford to pay for prescription medicines.
I always feel terribly bad for the Gamecube. It was such a promising system and it actually had a lot more going for it than either the Ps2 or X-Box. But it came along at the wrong time; people weren't into games marketed toward "everyone" back then. Of course, it was really easy to ignore the more mature titles on the system like Geist, Killer7, Eternal Darkness, and the Resident Evil games. Seriously, Killer7 - a game in which the F-word is thrown around like nothing - was a Gamecube original. Points for that one, Capcom =)
Kraj, I'm not sure when you'll see this, but I wanted to ask - any news about the housing situation? You didn't seem especially worried about it when you mentioned it. I hope it doesn't become a matter of any greater concern.
Lets us know how it's going.
Thanks for asking, sweetie! I forget what I told you last, but our current situation is the price they are asking for our unit is absolutely laughable. No one in their right mind would pay $462,000 for a 1,000 sq-ft, 2 bedroom in Chicago... when the building is 20 years old. On top of it, the management company is essentially a legal scammer, and there's no way we're sticking around. Our lease isn't up until the end of October, though, so we really haven't begun an earnest search of options yet since our move date is too far down the line.
But for the time being all is well.
Sorry I haven't been around much. It's been pretty crazy around here recently, with a visit from my brother taking up a lot of my time and several events I've been working on beyond my normal work schedule (on Monday, which is normally a day off, I worked a photography job for 12 hours). Things should be back to normal shortly.
A big congrats to Photon and Ether for RotW, and to Alacar as well; it was a very good installment.
And I know she doesn't pop in here much but huge props to Avatar of Kokusho for becoming he new site admin.
Take care everyone!

Try using some Hydrogen Peroxide, rubbing alcohol or ammonia, assuming it won't actually hurt your carpet more. I hear that helps clean up the smell and the final bits of the stain left behind. Just don't use too much...

I know how that feels. I used to take Sudafed before they changed the formula and it worked well... now I have to take Tylenol Allergy and it's frankly knocking me right out when I have to take it. Sorry to hear you feel like crud...
At last, I bring them back.

Aww, thanks guys.
And that's it for the premiere homosexual couple (yes, if you haven't figured it out, you are a dunce), and just in general two of the best Regulars I know, for this double-dose Regular of the Week.
Geek Mp3s are undergoing work, and will be up before I go to bed.

I'm a dunce since I didn't know Ether was gay.

Congratz to ethersphere and Photon for RotW! Cheers for you two!

Congrats to Ether and Photon for double-RotW!
Congrats to the Dynamic Duo on making ROTW/!

She knows why.
As usual, The Waffle Iron Chronicles is and has always been available for download on post #2. As I assemble volume 5, I will notify you all.
