And I'm awake. I slept 13 hours recovering from the pain that is standing at a register for a whole day. Ugh. Today I am doing absolutely nothing except going to get the lunch box I forgot in my rush to leave.
As for the whole Alba/Knightley/Dunst debate.. gun to my head I would pick Dunst, since I <3 redheads. I dunno, I don't really develop strong attractions for actresses anymore.
awww poor alacar yeah it was painful for me as well standing and on my feet all day at work when i first started as well. Well im glad you got the job and i wish you well.
Hehe i dont know who i would pick i probably would pick Cecilia if she was an actress. I dont have a strong attraction to actresses anymore of course i never really had that much anyway.

Hmm Me, Jessica Alba, Keira Knightly and a cat fight?
You've gota healthy imagination girl.
OH, My kitchen is going well. They have installed the cabnetry, painted, done the trim work (poorly though :(), and laid the floor. They are kindof doing a shoddy job, but it's better then what I had, and I can't wait to get the appliances in. Should be done soon!
@catfight: Imagine them in skimpy bikinis and giving the come on gesture to go into a jacuzzi where it's so steamy and bubbly...
@Kitchen: Oh that is good news! Hope we get pictures.
I dont have a new avy or a sig. Of course I like the work that Mr. stuff and sakura did on my avy and sig its pretty cool. I am probably going to keep the same sig and avy for a long time. How have you been doing littledragon? I hope everything is going well for you.
I am also very glad that my favorite basketball team the Cleveland Cavs are in the NBA finals.
Well i am going to go play some video games ill probably be back later tonight sometime since i also need a hair cut as well. See you all soon though. *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*

I'm watching Akazukin Cha Cha. I love this show! She's so cute and bubbly!
Well, it's over and I'm looking at my crush's picture... well, I just realized that he's a year younger than me... Uh boy.
Enrollment is tomorrow and orientation a day after that, so I'll be busy this week. I'm free this morning, but in the afternoon I have to go to a eliminations game in badminton. Wish me luck.
Its time for legacy of the week! This week ill be covering one of my favorite decks in the format and it happens to be UGR Threshold. This deck has proved time and time again that it does really well in any metagame legacy tournament so here is my personal version of it.
Wooded Foothills: This fetchland lets me search for volcanics, tropical islands, and mountain and forests to shield my manabase against non-basic hate like back to basics or wasteland.
Polluted Delta: This fetchland fetches me either volcanic islands, tropical islands, and also regular islands.
Nimble Mongoose: A one green mana 3/3 beater by turn 2 is pretty good since it provides a fast clock on your opponent as well as it can pretty much dodge any spot removal creature spell in the game from swords to plowshares to lightning bolt.
Fledgling Dragon: A deadly threshold creature that can mean gg for your opponent if its not taken care of ASAP. Pretty much a shivan dragon for 4 mana which is just insane and one of the main reasons to play UGR threshold.
Werebear: Pretty much the same as all of the other creatures provides as a pretty good blocker and speeds up the turn clock for your opponent whenever it is resolves in play.
Tarmogoyf: I absolutely love this card because you don't need full threshold to get this creature decently big but at the sametime it can get bigger then any other creature in this deck about the same rate.
Engineered Explosives: Great against the mirror and fish decks and also good against goblins and other aggro or aggro-control decks in the format.
Lightning Bolt: Fills up your graveyard for threshold and can be a useful creature removal against alot of creatures in the format like meddling mage. Definetly can give you the edge against the UGW threshold mirror as well since it is direct damage.
Fire//Ice: pretty much the same as bolt except ice can be useful if you want to stall a creature for a turn to win and also draw a card at the sametime but either way it still fills up your graveyard.
Trickbind: An uncounterable stifle is nice against storm combo decks and also can act as land destruction by countering a fetchland one of the best blue utility cards that blue has to offer.
Daze: Can be just as good as force of will in the early part of the game since you can counter almost anything for free as well.
Force of will: The best counterspell in legacy period.
Opt: Adds to the grave and since this deck doesnt run that much lands you can actually draw much needed lands with this draw spell and its an instant so sometimes it can be better then serum visions in my opinion also more importantly it adds another card to the grave to make threshold come true.
Telling time: I like this better then mental note even though it costs one more mana but its a good utility card draw spell in its own way.
Brainstorm: The best utility card draw in magic and has excellent synergy when you sac a fetchland to get rid of unwanted cards that you don't need right now in the game.
Sideboard Card Choices:
Krosan Grip: Great against enchantress decks and also good at stopping vial as well as it can't be countered and the fact its generally a good card to have in sideboards.
Tormod's Crypt: Great against the mirror and can disrupt any deck that likes to utililize it's graveyard to gain even massive card advantage on their opponent.
Blue elemental blast: Stops turn 1 goblin lackey and good against the mirror UGR threshold and also good against any red deck generally.
Hydroblast: Pretty much the same as blue elemental.
Umezawa's Jitte: Great against any aggro or aggro-control deck so that means the mirror as well.;)
Pyroclasm: In my opinion this is the best goblin table clearer removal spell in magic and also good at stopping elves as well.
Well i hope you all had a good read and hopefully i can write another legacy of the week next week as well. See you all soon! *hugs and blows kisses* Thanks for reading everyone.

Yes, I actually agree with you there.
Werebear: Pretty much the same as all of the other creatures provides as a pretty good blocker and speeds up the turn clock for your opponent whenever it is resolves in play.
And it's great for a 2-to-cast. This is a great and better alt for llanowar elves.
No. Hahaha legacy will never be complete without StP.
Lightning Bolt: Fills up your graveyard for threshold and can be a useful creature removal against alot of creatures in the format like meddling mage. Definetly can give you the edge against the UGW threshold mirror as well since it is direct damage.
Again, legacy will never be complete without a one-to-cast 3 damage card like that.
Force of will: The best counterspell in legacy period.
Ya know, Cec', that's the kinda deck I could get in to. Since I've got the FoWs, the only serious expense is the mana base. I just might have to start putting that puppy together.
As a side note, this round of the FCC is pretty cool. The gist is to pick the name of an existing card and make a new card out of it. I've always loved the name and (original) art of Dark Heart of the Wood, but I've always hated how generally sucky and dull it is. My shiny, new version.

Ya know, I'll admit that everything that's going on with SYM and all that is...annoying. It's really detracted from my enoyment of MTGS lately and even kept me from my campaigns because I just don't want to be anywhere near that sort of thing.
But Sapph, I'll urge you to stick around. You more than most people should know that this will blow over, and that everything will calm down soon. Idiots raising a ruckus on one part of the site, as much publicity as it's getting, won't stop you from enjoying the other parts of the site. And we'll miss you. So try to reconsider your decision.
I see it this way. There have been a lot of people on MTGS who I've met and decided, either through my own intuition or something dumb they've done, are bad people. Or ignorant people I won't associate with. But there are plenty of other people who have been good to me, and who I want to stick around for. So yeah =)
In other news, the 'house seems very dead again. Just the beginning of summer or what?
I really enjoy this part of the coffeehouse. Kudos to you Cec!

Uh, well, yeah... It's worth it anyway.
Duh. No drawbacks or anything.
Oops i dont know why i put swords to plowshares in there i was probably thinking of UGW threshold for a little bit instead of UGR threshold deck sorry kraj and myta my bad but the list is fixed now. But yeah fledgling dragon is just insane in the early part of the game even though UGW threshold runs mystic enforcer you can fight right back with dragon.

@Cec: Hey, I have a question: how much are vintage singles from where you're from? I'm selling all my vintage cards (cause I don't really need them). Be posting them when I finally get them organized.
Um... Vintage is Alpha ed to ___? again? I forgot.
And uh, personal opinion, guys... Is he cute? he's half-german and I've been crushing on him since we first met. Well, I know I don't have a chance with him or anything... me being a nerd and all... LoL...
Vintage is absolutely everything, mtyamaimai. Well, everything except ante cards and silver-bordered stiff.
No problem, Cec'. Thanks for pointing that out.
ether, I agree completely. I mean, the vast majority of forum drama occurs within the SYM forum. The rest of the forum marshalls on in ignorant bliss of all the schmucks who have nothing better to do than complain about stuff. Simply avoiding that section of the forums removes an awful lot of headaches.
And I imagine the House is dead because many schools are having end-of-term exams and projects and stuff. A lot of members are swamped right now.

Indeed. I mean, I know there's a lot of pressure because of that, and a lot of people are probably feeling put upon or cornered somehow because the rabble just keep throwing insults around, but it'll pass.
*Sigh* I truly wish I were still interested enough in MTG to actually participate in a discussion about it, but alas and alack. All I've been doing for the past couple of hours is listening to Grandia music and making SCADS of battle maps for Broken Mandala. I need to form a cohesive soundtrack, but now I have the problem of too much music appealing to me, so it's hard to make a decision.

What do you mean by vintage is everything, kraj?
@SYM forums: There's always drama there, and I totally agree with you. The current suspended/banned list is still a good read though. I just wonder how and why there are so many adbots around.

He means that vintage is anything from alpha to now thats what he means i mean alpha set to future sight. I dont know myta thats a pretty general question to ask how much vintage cards are it highly depends of what the card is like from an island to a beta underground sea. Beta underground sea is probably worth around 180 USA dollars though.
@hunter: there might be another online SCG tournament for standard in the near future i was thinking of playing with a more tested version of mga from you if you dont mind lol or i was thinking of playing with alacar's angelfire deck but hmm.

Yeah im probably going to give MGA another whirl i mean why not i did pretty well last time for not playing with mga beforehand. I just find it alot more challenging to play against in a big field such as the standard tournament i played in then me playing with a control angelfire deck not saying angelfire isnt bad though its probably the best deck in standard in my opinion while MGA being up there right beside angelfire. but I am not afraid to play with it again who knows i might even top 8 this time. Considering in this next tournament it probably will be around 36 players instead of 94.

whoa you burned a underground sea wow.... Revised serra angel is probably worth around 5 USA dollars. Unstable mutation nope not really although i havent seen them for a pretty long time. I miss dragon whelps and cockatrices though. They were some really good creatures back in the day when i started playing magic. Also everyone used jayemdae tomes in almost every deck back in the day too.
So how was everyones weekend so far?

@Kev: Okay Visit the MGA thread and see the last page. I think I have a post there with MGA list link. You should check that out.^_^
@Myta: You...burned..an..underground..sea...
What the hell were you thinkin..
Oh well Im not that handsome, geez I was just jokin. The guy you have a crush on is good..TALK to him..^_^
And oh, Unstable mutation is about 50 pesos a set, and its only used in U/W skies deck..I hope ur familiar with it.
The stove wouldn't work and my binder of what I thought were useless vintage cards was nearby and that was the first card that I saw and... and... what I need to eat you know?! I think eating is more important that Magic cards.
Well, 180 US dollars down the drain, darn it, could've sold it so i can buy standard cards.
@Hunter's cuteness: If you love yourself for being unique, hence you are cute and handsome and gwapo and all that. ^^
@Serra's price: really? I should have burned that. hahahahaha
@Unstable Mutation: Well, cause I saw them in Timeshift and I thought my revised ed were worth more than 50 bucks.
Yeah, I think that this kind of in-fighting and melodrama is something of a natural part of being in a community like this. Some of these problems just come with the package, and there's no need to be directly involved with it.
But I understand that it's chafing or unsettling to see it going on, and to be here wondering what will happen next. Sometimes things like that feel hard to ignore; being silent and uninvoled can feel like forfeiting your opportunity to speak about community issues, at least at times. What I try to do is speak as I'm able and when I have the time and inclination, but if I feel too stimulated by all that's going on, (this is a community I'm an active part of, after all, and I can't help but be affected at least a little by what goes on here), I just try to distance myself from the site for a little while, get my perspective back, and enjoy the other parts of my life in the meantime.
That sometimes is necessary in others situations here, at least for me. When I feel overwhelmed or agitated by a particularly heated discussion, when I'm having trouble cleairng my mind, when I feel caught up in a dynamic with a fellow member that feels troubled or confusing . . . it helps with all of these.
Quote from Faerie Lord »
Who would?
Well, me. Unless she promised to behave herself and didn't mind snoozing next to a blanket-stealer.
@Actresses: I've always liked Kirsten Dunst. She has a refreshing charm, a vibrant presence, and notable talent and skill. I've greatly enjoyed her protrayal of almost all roles I've seen her in. I remember her playing Claudia in Interview with the Vampire, thinking how well she embodied her character and commanded the screen, despite her age at the time.
I particularly loved her in Elizabethtown. The character of Claire would perhaps not have been the same at all had she not been brought to life by Kirsten's acting. Not to mention her hair was gorgeous in that movie.
As for the three ladies mentioned, I do think Kirsten is the prettiest of them. Jessica Alba and Keira Knightly are both pretty, I'm sure, but to me they seem too "look at me, I'm sexy!" I suppose that Kirsten, while not seeming plain really, comes across to me as more . . . multi-dimensional. And besides being an attractive woman in her own right, she has a childlike aspect that adds cuteness to the mix.
Now, here's a question: what about actors?
@LittleDragon: I appreciate your new avatar. Hopefully you'll keep this one for a bit, heh. Good stuff.
@Kevin: Your avatar/banner theme is classic already.

@Alacar: Hee, another new avvy. I like this one. OotS Alacar is cute.
@Mr. Stuff: Ahhh, new avatars all around! Very cute. I like your theme in general. The banner is really nice.
@Kraj: I like your reinvention of Dark Heart of the Wood, because it feels like it has the same essence as the original card, except it employs it in a very different way. A way which, I might add, has a lot more appeal overall. It still cares about forests and swamps significantly, and still causes you to sacrifice lands, but it does so in a way which is less direct and yet offers a more substantial reward.
Nice job!

No. Hahaha legacy will never be complete without StP.
Again, legacy will never be complete without a one-to-cast 3 damage card like that.
Uh, well, yeah... It's worth it anyway.
Duh. No drawbacks or anything.

As a side note, this round of the FCC is pretty cool. The gist is to pick the name of an existing card and make a new card out of it. I've always loved the name and (original) art of Dark Heart of the Wood, but I've always hated how generally sucky and dull it is. My shiny, new version.

Oops i dont know why i put swords to plowshares in there i was probably thinking of UGW threshold for a little bit instead of UGR threshold deck sorry kraj and myta my bad but the list is fixed now. But yeah fledgling dragon is just insane in the early part of the game even though UGW threshold runs mystic enforcer you can fight right back with dragon.

Well I agree with the SYM forums getting all serious about things..And it all started with Pj's banning, and I dont think he's worth it..

Grandia has a beautiful soundtrack ;___;
Goin' to bed...dreaming about playing PandeBurst again...thanks Wizards for unbanning replenish!

NYAHAHAHAHA!!! Joke. Just talk with him or get close to him. He'll like you dont worry.
Edit:
@Kevin: Hmm, an MGA list? Im still using the hybrid one, never chaned it. It went well, but it seems some control of Angelfire matches your skills. But hey, if you really need MGA then Ill be glad to help you out.

Is Unstable Mutation a hit in the market these days?
@Hunter: He's my block mate, so yeah... but he'll never like me... and yes you're handsome... hahaha... my ex and my crush are in the same block as I am. I'm going to have a pretty interesting college life.
http://catskullcollector.deviantart.com
whoa you burned a underground sea wow....

Well, 180 US dollars down the drain, darn it, could've sold it so i can buy standard cards.
@Hunter's cuteness: If you love yourself for being unique, hence you are cute and handsome and gwapo and all that. ^^
@Serra's price: really? I should have burned that. hahahahaha
@Unstable Mutation: Well, cause I saw them in Timeshift and I thought my revised ed were worth more than 50 bucks.

Sorry to see you go again.
Nice job!
