Well Im eating right now some chips, and I realied sometime ago that big countries like USA, take this chips business serious and where I live (Portugal) we only have acess to those poor chips Lays and ruffles and Cheetoos, but only 3 different types of chips.
I was curious to know what is the wierd flavoured chips you have ate so far aas well the weirdest flavoured chips you have seen so far.
I once ate some chips with bechamel sour that tasted like (sorry for the term crap), and after it ruffles took out all the strange flavours from the market and all we can have now is the original one.
Larger countries that can afford to take such things seriously often do, as the people tend to pay for things that are a bit new and exotic. I find really things such as sour cream and onion to have some pretty strange tastes, or pickled flavored chips. They are certainly strange but they do exist.
As far as I'm concerned though, one shouldn't need a lot of variety in chips. Something new every once in a while is great, but for the most part if you know your tastes, you don't need much more. Kind of goes with food in general.
@Sep: Thanks. I really appriciate the words of support. I am sorry to hear about your grandfather too, it always hurts when close family dies. Thank you for responding though, it make me
@Hot Pizza: Yo. Welcome to the house.
@Chips: Uh, I've had ketchup chips. I've also had buffalo wing flavored chips. I've even had blue cheese chips (really good those were).

I... disagree. Biologically, you are quite correct. However, if you have the ability to eat diverse foods, you very much should strive to not eat the same thing every day, and rather have something new and exciting each day. For example, I could make pasta like I always do (just some pasta with marinara) or I could try some strange recipe (like Dracula Pasta). I have the means to make that choice, and believe that one SHOULD make that choice. That's just me though.

One individual may not require a large variety, but the variety doesn't exist for any one person. It exists for a wide variety of people with differing tastes. In general, it is better to have more options and please more people than it is to have fewer options and only please a small group. That isn't only applicable in terms of food, either.

[16:23] Alacar Leoricar: maybe if you do it'll make the porn more meaningful
I've always considered Sour Cream and Onion potato chips to be a very standard flavor of potato chip. Plus each one contains many of the food groups.
I really don't eat very many kinds of food. Two summers ago I mostly ate dry pasta, ramen, and peanut butter for a while, which turned out not so nice in the 'not getting sick' department. I've been getting better, but I still don't usually eat things that can't be microwaved. (Being a vegetarian helps, because most things that can't be microwaved are meat. Maybe?)
Well, its according to how you define the term "domestic violence"
Hahaha, good answer!

Yeah, I was living on my own. I was letting a room in a house with a bunch of other students. Now, I'm not exactly Captain Neat, but I try not be disgusting. Some of the people I lived with were really gross, though, leaving dishes of food on the kitchen counter basically forever. It was really nasty, so it was hard to use the kitchen.
Yeah, that is the only one I can stand the smell and taste of...and only because it has vinegar
That is an acquired taste for me - I'm more in love with the Sour Cream and Onion and Cheddar and Sour Cream varieties. Absolutely wonderful flavors. Oh and those Cape Cod brown Russet potato chips are good too. Those are the only ones I can eat without needing extra flavor.

Yeah I used to know someone like that. Used to live in this apartment they had to carry 52 pounds of garbage out of when he moved out - and that doesn't count the furniture he left behind. Friggin slobs... It's really not much work to clean up when you get down to it.
I am very sorry i missed this earlier but congrats to arguas and omna for regular of the week! You guys definetly deserve it. Keep up the great work at keeping up the house not to mention alacar has done a very fine job as well keeping the house alive and everything.
Well i am glad i had a 4.5 hour shift today at work ive been tired again this week but i am glad i have tuesday off of next week but before that i have a 8 hour shift hopefully it isnt going to be too bad. Well see you all later. I am going to catchup on some video gaming. *hugs and blows kisses to everyone* I hope everyone has had an excellent weekend I know my weekend hasnt been that grand because of working.

I hope you guys dont serve hot pizzas on the coffe house, otherwise I'll be toasted
Hey, welcome, Hot Pizza! I haven't had a chance to talk to you directly much, but I've seen you around the av/sig forums and the weekly contest quite a lot. Enjoy your stay in the 'house!
One thing I've been wanting to mention to you though: to get your sig set to always display the correct size, you'll have to cut it into two pieces. The [simg][/simg] tags resize anything you put in them down to 100px tall, so the solution is to cut your banner into two long pieces, one 100px tall and one 50px tall, and then just stack them on top of each other.
You sir are correct, and win, uh... 200 points. I couldn't tell you what they're good for, but you win them regardless.

Congrats you guys! You've started an amazing thing here on Salvation, and I hope it continues to last long, long into the future. In particular, thanks for the mention, Omna.
Aotw will be my next post. Once again, I'll need somebody to help me out with another post, though.
Ahh, summer. Any number of things beckons for one's attention - the green grass, the clear waters of the pool, or - if you're an anime fan - the new summer shows. Since I covered the majority of the spring shows already, I thought this week I'd pick out one of the best new summer shows to cover. This one goes by the name of Potemayo. Here's the story:
Sunao Moriyama, while going to the fridge one day to grab something to drink, instead finds a strange living creature with pink hair. He names it Potemayo, and it takes to riding around on his head wherever he goes, and to eating other people's lunches at school. Not too long afterwards, another creature appears from Moriyama's fridge, this time one with long purple hair and a miniature scythe - Guchuko. Unlike Potemayo, Guchuko has a rather reticent and hostile disposition, although it's nice enough once you get to know it. Thus begins Moriyama's adventure of a high-school life. With Potemayo fighting his would-be girlfriend for attention, and Guchuko blasting everything that comes between her and her chocolates, can his life ever return to normal? Why is a small bird living on Potemayo's head?!? Will Guchuko ever learn to stop blasting everything she sees with her laser beam?
Potemayo is one of those comedies that is deceptively clever. I went into this show doubting that I'd like it. It's too cutesy, I said to myself, and it looks like it will be more fluff than actual comedy. Well, color me purple and give me a mini-scythe - I was wrong. The comedy in this show, as in Dokuro-chan, benefits from the fact that the character designs are simple and light, while the comedy itself is twisted and over-the-top. Example: One of Guchuko's favorite pasttimes is to bring home dead animals and place them on the doorstep of people she likes. We're not talking small animals either - how does a sliced-up cow on your front porch sound? It's just Guchuko's way of expressing her affection. That, combined with a pinch of Di Gi Charat style humor (me-kara-beamu!) and all the randomness of Excel Saga, and you have the surprise comedy hit of the summer. I give this one an 8/10. It's just coming out right now, so if you're interested, now is the time to catch it before it gets licensed.
I concur: Everyone, feel free to stop by the avatar page, and pick your favorite Autobot/Decepticon. If you dunno who to pick, let Sakura or myself decide, eh? I think it'd be awful cute.
The avatars are there. You missed the trend - it happened a few pages back.
The reason you haven't seen this show is because it's just coming out on Japanese TV right now. Only one episode of it has been fansubbed so far, and only four episodes have been shown on Japanese TV. I've seen the first three RAW (non-subbed) episodes, and am downloading the fourth one now. It's an amazingly hilarious show. Feel free to PM me, anyone, if you are interested in knowing how to get a hold of newer stuff like this and don't already know, and I'll fill you in. This is one of about three or four new shows that came out for the summer season that I am following weekly right now.
@Stuff: Well I must say, you sure did pick a good one! That looks good and the first 7 minutes are really good and funny. I really must get into anime more....
That must be like the 1000th time I've said that. But I still stand on my resolve to do nothing about it.
@Hunter: I'm sorry about your godfather. I'm from a very family oriented family and I know how tough it feels when a loved one dies. I'm here for you if you need to talk or vent or whatever.
@Hunter44:
Condolences. He passed from tobacco-related causes you say? Grrr. That particular fire of mine never has died down yet, and I hope it never does. I guess I have my biological father to thank for that - he is a great inspiration to me regarding several things NOT to do, smoking being one of them.
I appreciate your concerns guys. And yes stuffsy, Lung Cancer. Its kinda hard for the whole family. We really are a BIG family so many people wept for the untimely death of my Godfather, not to mention that he is the husband of my aunt, so I call him uncle sometimes too.
Chips eh? We have chips here in the Philippines called E-Aji and it has so many flavors with different dippings inside. I cant mention it all, but its got some variety of choices. We also have Grain chips. Hmm what else? Common flavors are: Cheese, Barbecue, Sour cream and onion, Ketchup, Super hot and Spicy, Butter, Adobo(Its a Filipino dish), Garlic, and many more, cant remember sorry.
If your gonna stay in the Phil then you may wanna do that twice in an hour. Its hot here, currently dry season. I feel sorry for our farmers, the rice granary productions are too low.
licensced anime is when a company like ADV buys the rights to it, and essentially owns the anime. Before an anime is licensed its fair game to torrent it and stuff, afterwards you can get in trouble. for example, if i was to dl and take The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya before it was licensed, and watch and dl a fandub, its cool, however, now that its licensed, what im doing is in the red zone, and technically i should pay the licenscing company for watching/possessing it.
Tegan And Sara - The Con (2007)
Tegan and Sara are brilliant. They both have amazing voices and their songs are really well written. This album is their latest release and has some really great tracks that are pretty interesting.
Recommended Listening: Back In Your Head, Soil Soil, The Con, Floorplan
Amen to that.
I didn't even realize they had a new album! Not really keeping up with the music scene. I've listened to a few of the tracks on it, and I like what I heard. It seems to be going in kind of same direction as most of their earlier work. It's been said that each album has a distinct flavor, almost different genres, but I listened to much of it run together, so it kinds of belds to me.
However, Tegan and Sara's songs all have a very unique feel, and oftentimes you can tell the difference between a song written by Tegan and a song written by Sara.
I want to see if I can hear a bit more from The Con. Back in Your Head sounds Sara-ish, and I love the title song The Con.

All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.

Once an anime is licensed by an American company for distribution in the U.S., most English torrent sites take it down and English fansubbers stop fansubbing it out of respect for U.S. copyright laws, and the fact that most U.S. companies send out cease/desist orders to fansubbers upon licensing something anyway. You can still find it, usually, it's just much harder. For example, animesuki, one of the main fansub/torrent update sites, only lists series that have not been licensed for distribution in the US, and takes down active projects as they get licensed. Potemayo (and in fact all of the other new summer shows) have yet to be grabbed by an American company, so they are still fair game in the fansubbing world. That's what I meant by "catch it before it gets licensed".
Edit: Bigtime Sarnath'd. Hehe. But yeah, like I said, most fansubbers stop their projects once a show gets licensed. The only ones that continue are the ones with servers/hosting in foreign lands like Switzerland where the copyright laws are so loose that they can't be prosecuted, or groups doing shows grabbed by companies that have a history of not caring.
Alright, I think it's time for me to head home. I'm in here on broadband once again, but I think I finished all of what I needed to do. I'll see you all in a few.
