I lost round 6 1-2 games :(. I wish my elves had non-basic land walk then i wouldve won blah oh well or saved my dryad sophisticate for a little bit longer and play some other creatures beforehand so i could dodge countermagic somewhat better. The 2nd game i was just a hair of winning the whole match i just got unlucky and my opponent took advantage of that. It was tough playing against a deck like my opponent's though he had repeals to bounce my creatures and also had countermagic and some draw and on top of that he was almost just as fast as MGA and he also played with psionic blasts tough match for me. Oh well at least i made a good run with MGA and i still have one more round to go hopefully i can make top 20 at least.

oh no i just realized something hunter i didnt use my sideboard again in games 2 and 3 in round 6 lol probably because i have nothing to lose really and i almost won 2-0 in round 6 too. I shouldve sideboarded in ohran viper and leyline of the lifeforce to have defense against spellsnare and remand casted upon my mga creatures. I just didn't bother using the sideboard again in games 2 and 3 even though i almost won the round. Oh well thats okay even yoda of legacy makes mistakes.

lol thanks hunter Thanks hunter i really appreciate you respecting me as a legacy player and everything it is most appreciated.
Yeah MGA is really fun and its pretty good in standard id say i mean i barely have any experience with the deck and i am doing better then half of the field in the standard tournament. Also i almost won against 2 good decks in standard without using a sideboard that actually shows how versatile and flexible the deck is really. Ill probably will post my list and show how i did in the mono green aggro thread after i have finished playing all 7 rounds.
I think if I had the same amount of playing experience as you hunter in type 2 playing MGA. i probably would be in the top 8 now but that could just be my opinion though because experience goes a long ways usually.
Have a great day and night with your fiance hunter.

@ Umgenni, well were do I begin without trying to offend you, many, many, many polish come over here and walk right into a job, without learning english, so now we english have to learn polish to make them feel more welcome, its englands new job equality rights, which simply mean, you can walk into anyjob whatever your age and nationality, as long as you are not english.:mad::mad::mad::mad: but don't feel offended, because the same goes for all the other nationalities coming into england. Reports have suggested that by 2010 england will be like the famous amsterdam airport, and there will be people of all nationalities here and us poor english will be the minority, hence why half of the country is leaving to live abroad.

@little dragon: oh my you want some copies of my cecilia card.
Well here is a UGW threshold list that i came up with that has a pretty good game against hulk flash, the mirror, fish, and goblins and still have a solid game versus the rest of the field. Here is the deck.
Tarmogoyf: Better then werebear about half of the time or a little more since you dont need a full threshold graveyard to start attacking big with this creature and with all of the spells and draw and fetchlands in this deck this creature can swing for big damage early.
Serra Avenger: A solid beater anytime of the game. Also gives this deck more graveyard hate resistent since it does not depend on the graveyard for its strength plus equipping Serra to jitte is pretty nice as well.
Trickbind: An uncounterable stifle is really nice against hulk flash.
Vedalken Shackles: Great against the mirror and against alot of kinds of aggro or aggro control style decks like fish and BW confident.
I just wanted to share with everyone my latest UGW threshold list thats all.
See you all soon! Take care everyone and i hope everyone is having a safe and enjoyable weekend! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*
@Cec:I'm not an expert, but hey it looks playable. Counterspell seems out of place there, in my opinion though.
Cheating on work... they're out for a while so I decided to read the posts.
ARGH PICTURES WITH CAPTIONS!!! -.- she's a writer and she has very bad grammar. Spelling's off all the time. -.-
Counterspells are actually quite good in threshold even though i wouldnt run more then 2 though because other then that they are just waste of space. Like running 3 or 4 would be too much. Counterspells just make the mid to longer game better since its a solid counterspell. Also threshold is actually pretty good its top 8 at every big legacy tournament or almost every one anyway.
Oh okay, that's great then. Thanks for explaining that out for me.

Speaking of which, Cec, do you know what weaknesses does a Sliver deck have? Aside from mass destruction and the usual counter-mill...
thanks for the hugs. *hugs*
Well if its like a sliver deck with countermagic and swords to plowshares then it doesnt really have that many weaknesses at least not that many noticable ones. I see counter-sliver having a hard time dealing with goblins though but with a decent sideboard it should have a good chance to win. Also against control decks that pack in mass creature removal like you said run armageddon in the sideboard they tend to work pretty effectively against any control deck.
By the way i want to get some more venser's diffusions out of future sight boosters they seem pretty good at bouncing alot of different non-land permanents from play.
Also i found out that remand can just be pretty effective in hulk flash decks like a typical play would be like ill cast flash and your opponent tries to counter it but you remand the flash or your opponent's counterspell back to their hand and then you can draw a card to make your comboing off go easier or draw more cards that interrupts combo hate cards that your opponent uses. Just an idea though.
Well anyway good night everyone and enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone. See you all tommorrow sometime. *hugs and blows kisses*
I can't stop hugging people. My mom is reading my reply. Argh. *Shoos mom away* Scat you pest!

Hehe, I don't use counter magic (to be honest I find counter magic boring to play with) and I sold my set of Swords to Plowshares to some guy who gave me $20 for the set (in Philippine peso). It's more of an aggro-control deck, and even though I said that I don't use counter magic, I use counterbalance. I have a combo with Magus of the Moat and Levitation, causing my creatures to fly and my opponent's creatures (my opponent = my best friend... who runs a Green-white Selesnya deck) to stay stuck on the ground.

Cec, that just boggled my mind. *I need my sugar*
oh i see that sounds like a pretty cool deck idea making your slivers fly and what not. Magus of the moat is pretty cool and sounds good with levitation. I think using sensei's divining top with counterbalance can be effective.
Yeah i tend to boggle people's minds well some people anyway.
Yeah i can order singles but i just find them more fun getting them from packs even though i buy several packs from time to time. Im not too big on buying singles anymore and thats probably a good thing anyway but i used to spend quite a bit of money on singles especially when i was playing legacy competitively which i hardly do that anymore even.
See you all soon! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*

I see. Actually it is more fun to get a booster pack because of the element of surprise, but then if you want a card for your deck, better buy singles, though the downside of that is spending more than its worth. I understand you. And why does my mind always boggle me?

Hey, I have a question for you, LD. Since you're going (or are in) to college, what's your course and why? I'm just a little queasy right now, going to college and all.
Oh cool. Yes, I read that you're taking up four or five languages. I too am learning four. Japanese, German, French and Spanish... of course, at different times and days. I'm trying to fit them in my driving lessons, badminton training, piano classes and my three jobs.
Looking at that second paragraphs, I assume that you're smart. Smart is hot. LoL WTFH am I saying...
Welcome for the cookie. I'll be making tomorrow, during my free time. And thanks for the encouragement. I think I'll be needing it.
I just got a bit of bad news that has me pretty upset. My younger brother is being left by his fiancee. She told him this morning she is moving out, and he's really pretty devastated by it. They have been living together since September, and had just set their wedding date for October.
Right now, it's just a "separation", but you know how those tend to work out. I'm just really afraid that if it completely falls apart, he'll be left with baggage and attachment issues for the rest of his life, because I know how he tends to work emotionally, and I can see him ending up that way.
It just really upsets me. I really don't want my little brother to get hurt, but there isn't much I can do.
Also, I feel crappy about it all because tomorrow is Josh's birthday, and every year since we've lived together some big crap has happened on his birthday and basically ruined it, and it looks like this year it is not really any different.

I just wanted to drop by and say hello to everyone. Wow the house has indeed been slow all week it seems hopefully it picks up to about normal tommorrow. Thats probably why i am here hehe to keep the house going.
I just thought about this pretty cool casual deck idea i am going to make a uw aggro deck with bounce, gain or preventing life spells, creature removal such as judge unworthy and engineered explosives and maybe powder kegs and no countermagic but ill probably add some draw like foreseen and end the late game quickly by adding 2-3 decree of justice in there. Sorry Mono green aggro got into my head a little bit.
See you all soon and enjoy your sunday everyone! *hugs and blows kisses*

I already talked to ya on AIM about this but still I hope everything works out.
There is still some hope left and thus still has a chance to revive everything.

1 Forest
2 Plains
2 Island
3 Tundra
3 Windswept Heath
3 Flooded Strand
Creatures
1 Mystic Enforcer
2 Tarmogoyf
2 Werebear
2 Serra Avenger
4 Meddling Mage
2 Nimble Mongoose
3 Sleight of Hand
4 Serum Visions
4 Brainstorm
Countermagic
3 Stifle
4 Force of will
4 Daze
2 Counterspell
Removal
4 Swords to plowshares
2 Engineered Explosives
3 Trickbind
2 Tormod's Crypt
2 Krosan Grip
2 Umezawa's Jitte
2 Vedalken Shackles
2 Blue Elemental blast
2 Tivadar's Crusade
Noticable Changes:

I'm in need of sugar.
Speaking of which, Cec, do you know what weaknesses does a Sliver deck have? Aside from mass destruction and the usual counter-mill...
http://catskullcollector.deviantart.com
thanks for the hugs.

You can't get singles in your local hobby store?
Cec, that just boggled my mind. *I need my sugar*
http://catskullcollector.deviantart.com
oh i see that sounds like a pretty cool deck idea making your slivers fly and what not.

Hey, I have a question for you, LD. Since you're going (or are in) to college, what's your course and why? I'm just a little queasy right now, going to college and all.

Also, I feel crappy about it all because tomorrow is Josh's birthday, and every year since we've lived together some big crap has happened on his birthday and basically ruined it, and it looks like this year it is not really any different.
hello hunter. Glad you had a blast with your fiance and have a good one.
awww im very sorry to hear that photon. Yeah i would be too if i was in his position and thats very unfortunate ill be praying for you and your family and the people that you care about the most photon. I also wish Josh a very happy birthday. If you ever need to talk i will be here for you photon.

We don't need him going down the path I have recently taken. I wish that on nobody but a few...
