And gau, if I remember correctly, has always been a severe pain to use. It seems like you spend a ton of time on the veldt trying to get a good encounter to leap on. Sure, you can get really great spells early on with him, but later int eh game his ability flops because of how hard the right encounters are to find. He's one of the characters that I had hoped would have been made a lot easier to use. They could have eliminated any encounters that gau has already learned from. THAT would make things easier.

No, like I said before, anyone can enter, regardless of whether you've done it before or not. You could enter as your first post, if you wanted.
Aside from that... I haven't played an RPG in the longest time. I really should get back into one. There are a few for the 360 I've seen my brother playing that look interesting, including a new Phantasy Star.

So I am loving Planar Chaos. I didn't really like too much of the cards I saw in Timespiral, but so far, all I want is my blue cards from PC. They gave blue Humble. This seriously pisses my friends off a lot, since back in the day when I had only one of them it would make my Tim deck teh best.

Well, after a near-fight with Josh over the whole Photoshop snob issue, I decided to submit the Unlimited SaGa avvy/banner combo. Mostly this is because it has the cleanest lines, best use of text, and better picture quality than the Tales of the Abyss banner. If I could've found a better Guy Cecil picture, the Abyss banner would've been a shoo-in, but alas.
Sorry I didn't explain this more fully before, but the one main requirement for the contest is that the banner/av is created new specifically for the contest. You can't use stuff that you've already made. It wouldn't be an issue, but people have probably seen you wearing that at one point or another, so... All you do is make a new one and enter it. You have until Sunday morning, most likely, or Saturday night, depending on how Craven's feeling, so there's still plenty of time.

In an unrelated note, I joined a fraternity my freshman year of college: Delta Nu Delta--the only frat dedicated to tabletop gaming. (DND, for those of you who are slow to catch up. The symbols are a Triangle, an N, and another Triangle in Greek.)
So I'm thinking either Breath of Fire V or Persona 2: Eternal Punishment for my submission. Not sure which yet. I downloaded GIMP to see if I could use it well enough. We'll see!
Once I get done with Photoshop, or at least learn more in the college class(pid for by my school, sw33t.), I want to make a banner. Think it'd be cool.
So I got really bored in seminar today and was just playing FF3, leveling like none other (Leveling like none other=Everybody from lvl 18 to lvl 19). In order to get through the next part in the game (Beat the Rogue boss dude so I can get the two Ice Horns back) I am going to get to level 23 or so, that way, it'll be easier. After that, I'll switch some jobs and just level again till 30.
I think it'd be cool if they made an adventure RPG for the DS. I want one, and if they had it they could use the WIFI to set up parties o go around, kinda like an MMORPG, but obviously not massive due to low amounts of people actually able to play the game on the DS.
Adventure MMORPG for the DS? Sign me up! We're getting highspeed one of these days and an MMORPG like that would make me happy.

Ahh.. To experience FF6 for the first time. It's a magical thing. Also, you live in Minnesota, so you get beautiful, world stopping snow, while I, in Maryland get nothing but rain - and plenty of it at that.

Hello all. Just a quick check-in as I mess around with my Wii browser. Btw, Twilight Princess was amazing.
Anyhow, my Wed group just finished the Forgotten Realms adventure The Twilight Tower , and I was just a bit disappointed. The final monster,
a zombie gorillion holding a brain-in-a-jar
seemed a little whacked. Overall I just wasn't impressed.
Thursday is STILL trudging their way through City of the Spider Queen. I upped the CR of an Arachnid Roper that I set on the party, only to have somebody summon a greater fire elemental. sigh Maybe the 20hd Arachnid Grey Render will bump one of them off...

A friend of mine who is active in a D&D group was telling me about one of his friend's characters. The character has prophetic dreams, and the DM handles this by writing out on a bunch of slips of paper before each game session the dreams the character has had. Some are jokes, some are cryptic, some are useless, some are misleading and some are very helpful. I thought this was cool and was wondering if anyone has ever done anything similar.
