Yeah your probably right since i used to play my UW control deck a whole lot in standard during the mirrodin/onslaught days and i played a UW control deck in Legacy for about a year and for mono green aggro ive only played it casually and once at that one semi legacy tournament i told you about.
But im trying to adjust my skills so i can play mono green aggro better i bet if I had a somewhat more rethinkable build i wouldve had a better chance against narcodredge in round 3. Yeah i would probably ignore those people as well i usually like playing decks that people think that are not competitive anyway since its alot more challenging. The funny thing im doing better then half of the standard players there and i bet at least half of those players were playing with competitive standard decks so to me decks don't matter its the player that matters the most.
The problem with my conection is sooo bad that Im as lucky as the man who won the lottery just by making this post you know..."POSTED".
Anyway I think you'll get the gameplay of MGA well since as my master you really are good. btw. Anyway I hope Ill get my internet conection fixed and my YM reinstalled so we can talk again. If I cant post before I sleep it means I have my conection gone again. Oh well Hi to All.!
Today was sort of a mixed day. It wasn't so bad during most parts, despite how tired I was. But there were a few problems that came up.
I went to work today and found that the boss had issued a warning to all of us, saying that we'd received far to many complaint calls this year, and that if we got any more, people would start getting fired. She went on to complain about some of our behavior and demand we show a better performance.
Apparently, we not only failed some of recent tests and examinations as a store, but the owner was made aware of a very recent complaint call by a woman whose grievance could easily have been averted. The owner was quite angry with her (the manager) and that led to her being inflamed.
I was upset by it, because it really made me afraid of losing my job. It seemed that she was willing fire people just at the drop of a hat the way her paper was written, though I do understand it was written in anger. The assisstant manager said it was more likely that people might be fired if a customer complained about that person specifically.
Additionally, my mother, who used to be an employee at that same store and who is still acquainted with the manegerial staff, called the assistant manager and talked to her about it. According to her, I personally am not in danger, because I guess they are quite happy with my work, and the manager just wanted to make a strong, generalized mandate to motivate people. The way she put it, I have nothing to worry about, because if anyone were to be fired, it wouldn't be me.
Also, my mother called their customer service number and gave a high review, including comments of praise for me in particular. That's so sweet.
I'm still a bit anxious about it, because this job is important to me. But that made me feel a lot better.
Otherwise, it was kind of an emotional day, probably not least owed to my fatigue. But it wasn't all bad. I felt in a pretty good mood other than my concerns. And I finally got my tax refund, which is nice to see. We could really use the money.
I can tell you from working with a major company It must be done in general to all. Least say your dept is 20 people large. If 3-4 of those people cause problems which reflects the entire dept. Now if your a union you as a boss can't threaten them in anger of losing there jobs as the entire union will get up in arms and make it hell for all the depts and bosses. BUT they can make a puplic announcement that your getting pissed at the overall preformence of the group. And thus a stern warning to all now covers there asses if those few Continues to screaw up and screaw around. I worked through about 20 of those meetings and not once have I had to worry about my job as My reviews are far much better then the rest. So as long as you know your doing good don't worry:) You'll be fine hun.

I'm hoping to pick up a Suspended Sentence deck (whatever its name, the one with the Shimian Specter in it) but there are only two left in the store and the store owner wants to leave as many as possible for the actual event. Problem is, last week we waited for 2 hours and nobody showed up. I definitely don't want a repeat of last Thurs so I'm calling ahead.
@mame: I hope your day goes better today hon. Leave the misgivings of yesterday behind and work to make a better reality today.
@ceci: Cross-training using different types and styles of decks not only opens up your options but helps you understand the weaknesses of those decks better when you play against them. I'm also more of a control player and I alwyas notice how glad I am to come back to control cards after a stint of flying by the seat of my pants playing aggro.

I totally agree with you and yeah i get that feeling sometimes too but ive played solidarity once at a tournament and thats about it for combo lol and ive played with goblins in 3 legacy tournaments as well but those tournaments werent that fun i had alot more fun playing with either landstill or my uw control.

How can I possibly be a bloody neo-nazi, I love foreign people, I mean I want a foreign girlfriend, christ I have more female friends than male friends, its just plain weird, I mean I'm a second level black belt in wing chun, jeet kune do, hung gar and I also do muay thai just for the intense training, so yes I have the fitness and body there, okay I have a lot of pierceings, tattoo's, scars and a weird haircut, but grrr, I love women but they just don't love me, wahhhhhh!!!
Well it sounds like some of the other coffeehouse goers are having the same problems, so that as kind of quelled the heartache.
Sorry to hear your troubles, LD. I bet your appearance really does scare some people off a bit, and letting your hair grow naturally and getting a clean, nice style, and laying off the tats and piercings might help you appear more friendly and less militant. Being involved in a lot of martial arts is fine, but don't do it so excessively that you have nothing else to talk about as most people, including most girls, aren't very knowledgable or impressed by it. Don't forget the lesson of punk rockers: first only the scary kids had a mohawk, then everybody had a mohawk, then only the scary kids still had a mohawk. Don't get left behind!
Lastly, we are all a little prejudiced inside and it's best to say "I believe it takes people of all races and cultures to make a healthy society and we have more in common than we have differences" should cover a lot more ground than the old bigoted saying, "I'm no bigot! Why some of my best friends are Asian/black/Jewish/gay" which is practially a joke.
Snoop, I'm not sure you're aware of the gravity your comments have here. You've basically said "hey LD. Maybe if you were a different person, other people might like you."
I'm a pierced, tattooed guy. I'm a stocky, allegedly imposing bear of a guy, as well. I've had more friends than I can count, and none of them were "scared off" by me in any way.
Basically, LD, the people who allow themselves to be scared off by your physical appearance alone (and that appearance is fine the way it is unless you yourself think otherwise) aren't really the kind of people you'll end up having any deep friendships with. I know what it's like to be lonely and frustrated, but would you rather be surrounded by people who only tolerate your eccentricities or have a core group of friends who understand them?
Any friends or significant others I'd have to "tone myself down" for or look more mainstream to keep aren't really worth my time in the first place, I think.
Man, what I just heard just cannot be true. I had to go to an Adult Ed. high school to finish my diploma. They gave me a set number of classes I had to pass. I got my report card, I was set.
Except they never sent my diploma. Now these people are saying I'm 1 and 1/2 credits too low.
I took the classes, I should have passed! Man, I hope to get this sorted out before I talk to my dad, I don't know how he'll react

I am playing Monopoly on my phone, and own all but one property. The last piece is not owned (Park Place). I have sold all my Hotels so I wont bankrupt the last player so I can collect it and get a perfect game. The computer has landed on it 3 times, each time it buys it (this is fine, I'll just buy it off of him)...but then a message saying "Thinking" comes up and the game freezes...so I am stuck going the an autosave. Why does the computer land on it three times and I cannot. It has been 1:45 of going around the stupid board.
Aha...nm, it finally went through. Wew. And I bought it for $3000...he's going to be mad when I put all my Hotels back up.
@ me being alll bleh at my situation with the opposite sex, in the relationship department. I'll just wait, when it happens, I'll just let it happen, right.
Right. It's usaully only after you come to that realization that it actually does happen. Funny how that works, eh?

That is true, LD. It sounds cliched and sometimes hearing it can be really aggravating, but these things really do happen when they happen. Sooner or later you'll find just the right girl for you, and you'll know it =)
Wow...I just statted up one of the major bad guys for Mandala and he's absolutely freaking insane. Mostly due to his race, but ye gods...originally I had him on a higher level but I had to tone him down lest he destroy the whole damned world. Yet another reason why I don't let players cherry-pick their race/class combinations anymore O_o;;
The wikipedia article almost sounds like propaganda they would turn out, though I'm assuming it's not. It sounds like a nice place. From what the article says, though, I don't really know enough about it to have a good picture of what conditions might be like there. If 35% of your work is "work" and the other 65% is manual labor/houskeeping/whatever, who assigns what needs to be done? How do they keep track of how many hours you've worked and so forth? What is the housing like (as in, how much space do you get, and do families get more, etc)?
I think the idea is a nice one though, although itd' be hard getting used to the idea of not actually having money at first.
I wouldn't quite call the Wiki article proaganda. If it were, it wouldn't mention the criticism (ie: The materials they use to make the hammocks) Maybe it sounds like propaganda because there is not much negative to say about it.
They do have money. They get $70 a month to spend as they wish.

Apparently, our driveway was needing resurfacing. It's a big long gravel driveway that curves up a hill. The gravel was getting sparse in places and the surface was getting a bit uneven. I just found out that today, the people who came and resurfaced it, put new gravel down and all that, also cut our underground phone line in half while they were doing it. There is talk now of removing the line and relocating it to somewhere safer rather than just replacing it, so it could be a while before we have phone service at my house. Wonderful.
What this means for me is that I won't be able to put up the AotW tonight, and in fact won't be able to post at all except from the public library or my parent's workplace (where I am right now). All of my anime, files for working with Gimp, banners & etc. for my banner shop are all at home. I'll have to make the pictures for this week's AotW at home and then bring them in here tomorrow and post it up.
